Top 10 Flodesk Alternatives for Coaches in 2026

Top 10 Flodesk Alternatives for Coaches in 2026

The best Flodesk alternatives for coaches depend on one question: do you only need prettier emails, or do you need the email to lead somewhere, such as a booked call, a signed agreement, a paid program and a client who actually does the work between sessions? Flodesk is a design-led email tool with forms, landing pages and simple checkouts. It has no scheduling, no client records, no course portal, no community and no check-ins, so most coaches who outgrow it are really outgrowing the stack around it.

If you want one place for the whole client journey, Coachful is our pick: email lists and sequences sit in the same login as booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, a community and your website. If you only need a newsletter, a pure email tool like Kit or a low-cost suite like Systeme.io may be enough. Below, 10 tools are ranked and matched to the situation each one wins, with prices as the vendors list them in October 2026 (or September where we say so), a feature matrix and three example stacks with monthly costs. We make Coachful, so we say clearly where another tool is the better choice.

Already weighing Flodesk's own numbers? Our Flodesk pricing breakdown and Flodesk review cover the subscriber slider and the retired flat-rate plan in detail.

Why do coaches look for a Flodesk alternative?

Coaches usually leave Flodesk for one of three reasons: the price now rises with the list, the free plan cannot send email, or the business needs more than email. Each reason points to a different kind of replacement.

As listed in October 2026, Flodesk has four plans. Free keeps unlimited forms, landing pages, link-in-bio pages and segmentation but cannot send email at all. Lite is $25 a month ($19 a month billed annually) for up to 1,000 subscribers, with unlimited sends and, as a limited-time bonus, one workflow. Pro is $28 a month ($25 annually) with unlimited workflows, advanced analytics and the Flodesk footer removed. Everything is $54 a month ($49 annually) and adds unlimited checkouts, sales pages and funnels, subscriptions, payment plans and abandoned-cart automations. All three paid prices are base prices for up to 1,000 active subscribers; the slider goes up from there, and Pro at the top of the slider reaches about $1,589 a month on monthly billing. Flodesk retired its old flat-rate plan for new members on December 2, 2025 (existing members keep it).

Payments are the other friction point. Flodesk Checkout runs on Stripe, with Stripe Express processing listed at 3% + $0.30 in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and checkout payments are supported only in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Euro Area countries. A coach in another country, or one who wants contracts, booking and a client portal attached to the sale, has to add other tools.

Public reviewers rate Flodesk well (4.8 on Trustpilot from 321 reviews, seen October 25, 2026), mostly for its templates and ease of use. The problem for coaches is rarely the email editor. It is everything that has to happen after someone clicks.

Which Flodesk alternative fits which coach?

Start with the situation you are in. We ranked on four criteria that matter to working coaches: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost and setup effort (including Coachful's free white-glove build).

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

How did we rank these tools?

We pictured one realistic coach and asked what each tool would cost and leave missing. The example: a solo coach with 15 private clients, one eight-week group program, a list of about 1,000 email subscribers and a lead magnet that feeds the list.

That coach needs to do six things every week: send a newsletter and a welcome sequence, let prospects book a discovery call, take payment (sometimes in instalments), get an agreement signed before the first session, deliver the program with tasks and check-ins between calls, and keep the group talking. Flodesk covers the first item well and part of the third. We scored each alternative on:

  • One login for the client journey. Can a subscriber become a booked, paying, signed client inside the same tool, without copying data between apps?
  • Between-session delivery. Does the client get programs, habits, check-ins or at least a portal, or does the coaching still live in email threads?
  • Total stack cost. What does the coach pay each month once the missing pieces are added, not just the headline plan?
  • Setup effort. How long until the first client can book and pay, and does anyone help you build it?

Prices come from each vendor's pricing page as listed in October 2026, except Stan Store and Kartra, which are as listed in September 2026 and could not be reconfirmed this month. We did not run hands-on tests; where we describe weaknesses, we report what vendors document and what public reviewers say.

1. Coachful: best overall for coaches who sell and deliver programs

Coachful wins when your email list is supposed to turn into clients you coach for weeks or months. Instead of pairing a newsletter tool with a scheduler, a payment link, an e-signature app, a course host and a community app, you run all of it from one login, and your client gets one branded app.

Coachful's Automations screen on a laptop beside the client coaching hub on a phone, both with demo data.

What Coachful is, in one paragraph. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six tools. It is not HIPAA-certified and is not meant for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. To start, take a free trial and ask the team to build your site, funnel or program for you at no charge.

Email that knows who your clients are. Coachful's email covers lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. The difference from Flodesk is what the email is attached to. A sequence can start when someone downloads your lead magnet, books a discovery call or enrolls in a program, and the subscriber's record already holds their intake answers, payments and sessions. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, drafts emails and content from your live practice data. Questions and planning with Michelle are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. If email is your main concern, our page on email marketing for coaches shows the editor in more depth.

Here is a short walkthrough of the email workspace:

Funnels and a website in place of Flodesk's landing pages. The section-based website builder includes a blog, custom domain, SEO settings, 30 designed homepage templates and an Import website option. Booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels support pixels and UTM tracking, and a link-in-bio page can sell directly. That covers the forms, landing pages and link-in-bio pages many coaches use Flodesk for, with about 25 funnel templates to start from.

Booking, payments and agreements in the same flow. Booking pages include availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Sessions can use built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go by email, plus SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) once messaging is enabled. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time charges, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026, so only Stripe or Razorpay processing applies. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record.

Delivery between sessions, which no email tool offers. Multi-week programs hold weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Courses come with modules, drip and completion tracking, and there are more than 40 ready-to-film program templates and 48 course templates with quizzes. The community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events sit alongside, and cohort groups are created automatically when someone enrolls in a program, which suits group coaching. On your side, each client record shows goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, and an AI briefing before you meet.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE" (or the "Want us to build it for you?" card on Website, Funnels, Programs and the template galleries) and describe what you want: a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline, an email sequence or newsletter, a lead quiz, an automation and more. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and any gaps are left for you to fill. A business mentor for beauty professionals, for example, got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails; a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. The service does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the free white-glove build service.

Price and limits. Coachful uses flat monthly plans; lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited and team plans add coach seats (Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Monthly plans cancel in one click. Be clear about what it does not do: there is no PayPal and no permanent free tier, the client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding rather than your own App Store account, there is no Salesforce or HubSpot integration, and affiliate payouts are recorded manually. Coachful holds 4.5 on Trustpilot from 21 reviews.

2. Systeme.io: the budget pick when the email has to send

On a tight budget, Systeme.io is the strongest swap for Flodesk's free plan, because its free plan actually sends email. As listed in October 2026, Free covers 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course with up to 500 students, 1 blog, 1 affiliate program, 1 custom domain, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign, with no credit card required.

Screenshot of the Systeme.io homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

The paid plans are Startup at $17 a month (5,000 contacts, 10 funnels, 5 courses), Webinar at $47 a month (10,000 contacts, 50 funnels, 20 courses) and Unlimited at $97 a month (unlimited contacts, funnels, courses and automation rules). Systeme.io charges 0% transaction fees on every plan, including Free, so you pay only Stripe or PayPal processing. Public reviewers are enthusiastic: 4.9 on Trustpilot from 8,696 reviews, seen October 25, 2026.

For a coach, the gaps are on the delivery side. Systeme.io's features page lists a booking calendar with paid bookings, but there are no client records tying sessions to notes, no contracts, no habits or check-ins, and no branded mobile app, according to our September 2026 profile. Course and community features are basic. You would likely still need a separate tool for agreements and a place for clients to do the work between calls.

Pick it over Coachful if you cannot spend anything yet and your immediate need is a list, a funnel and a simple course, with 1:1 delivery handled elsewhere for now.

3. Kit: when the newsletter is the business

Coaches whose income depends on a large newsletter, sponsorships or digital products should look at Kit (formerly ConvertKit) first. It is the most direct like-for-like replacement for Flodesk in this list, and its free plan can send.

As listed in October 2026, the Free (Newsletter) plan covers up to 10,000 subscribers. Creator starts at $39 a month for up to 1,000 subscribers, scales with list size and includes 2 team members. Pro starts at $79 a month for up to 1,000 subscribers with unlimited team members. Paid plans come with a 14-day free trial and no credit card required. Automations and sequences require a paid plan, which matters if you rely on a welcome series. Kit Commerce charges 3.5% + $0.30 per USD transaction, all-in, for selling digital products.

Kit fulfils digital products only. There is no scheduling, no client records, no session management, no course portal, no community and no habits or check-ins. Public reviewers on Trustpilot give it 3.9 from 162 reviews (seen October 25, 2026). For a deeper look at where it falls short for coaches, see our Kit alternatives roundup.

Pick it over Coachful if your coaching is a small side of a newsletter business and you want the most mature creator email tool, nothing more.

4. Podia: a small storefront, community and email together

Podia suits a creator-coach with a small list who wants a website, a couple of courses, a community and simple paid sessions in one inexpensive, friendly tool. It is the gentlest step up from Flodesk's design-first feel.

We checked Podia's pricing page on October 25, 2026. Mover is $49 a month ($42 billed annually) with up to 100 email subscribers, 50 products, 25 community spaces and a 5% transaction fee. Shaker is $99 a month ($84 annually) with 500 email subscribers, 150 products, 100 spaces, no transaction fees, affiliates, upsells, PayPal and Zapier. Earthquaker is $179 a month ($150 annually) with unlimited products and spaces and 1,000 email subscribers. Customers are unlimited on every plan.

Those email caps are the catch for anyone coming from Flodesk with an established list: 100, 500 or 1,000 included subscribers is small, and our September 2026 profile notes that subscribers beyond the included number are billed as an add-on. Podia's coaching product collects payment and then hands off to an external scheduler such as Calendly; there is no native booking, no contracts, no intake forms and no student app. Reviewers praise its support (4.0 on Trustpilot from 139 reviews in our September profile), while others report slow replies outside US hours.

Pick it over Coachful if you mostly sell downloads and a self-paced course to a list under a few hundred people and rarely run 1:1 work.

5. HoneyBook: for the inquiry, proposal, contract and invoice flow

If your business looks like a service studio, where a lead fills in a form, gets a proposal, signs and pays an invoice, HoneyBook handles that sequence well. It does not replace Flodesk's newsletters, so treat it as a different half of the stack.

HoneyBook's pricing page, checked October 25, 2026, lists Starter at $36 a month ($29 billed annually) with up to 2 live lead forms, Essentials at $59 a month ($49 annually) adding the scheduler, automations and up to 10 lead forms, and Premium at $129 a month ($109 annually) with unlimited lead forms, multiple companies and advanced reports. HoneyBook acts as your payment processor; card fees start at 2.7% + 10¢ and ACH transfers at 1.5%, so you cannot keep your own Stripe account. All plans start with a free trial.

Workflow automations send templated emails and files on triggers, but there is no broadcast or newsletter marketing. There are also no programs, habits, check-ins, courses or client community; clients use a web portal for files, payments and messages. Reviewers on Trustpilot and G2 (4.4 from 194 reviews in our September profile) mention the 2025 price increase and app glitches. Our HoneyBook alternatives article goes further.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell custom proposals more than programs, never send a newsletter, and want HoneyBook's smart files for each project.

6. Paperbell: one flat price for 1:1 packages

Paperbell's strength is simplicity for coaches who sell 1:1 packages: a client picks a package, pays, signs the contract and books, all in one checkout. If your list exists mainly to sell those packages, that flow covers most of what you need beyond Flodesk.

Screenshot of the Paperbell homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Paperbell's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Paperbell has a single paid plan at $97 a month or $970 a year, per coach, with unlimited clients and sessions and no added transaction fees beyond Stripe or PayPal processing. Its help center describes a 7-day trial, and paid plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. Extra accounts for the same company get 15% off, according to its FAQ.

Paperbell sends reminders and post-appointment emails, but it is not a marketing autoresponder, so you would keep Flodesk or another email tool for newsletters. Public reviewers rate it 4.7 on G2 from 63 reviews, and the most common complaint is that coaches outgrow it: there are no courses beyond video content inside packages, no community, no goal or habit tracking, no native mobile app and only one coach per account. More detail is in our Paperbell alternatives guide.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell only 1:1 packages, have no plans for group programs or courses, and value a single flat price over breadth.

7. Practice Better: for nutrition and wellness practitioners who chart

Dietitians, nutritionists and functional medicine practitioners are the people Practice Better is built for. Charting, food journals, supplement recommendations and HIPAA-ready telehealth are its core, which is a different job from Flodesk's.

Screenshot of the Practice Better homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Sprout is a free plan for 3 clients. Starter is $35 a month ($25 annually) for 10 clients. Professional is $69 a month ($59 annually) for 300 clients, adding group scheduling, fixed-date programs, payment plans and Zapier. Plus is $99 a month ($89 annually) for unlimited clients, evergreen programs, portal branding, a custom URL and 750 SMS. Team is $155 a month ($145 annually) for 2 practitioners, with extras at $50 each. Add-ons such as AI charting and ePrescribe cost extra.

Practice Better includes program email sequences, automations and broadcasts (10,000 a month on Plus), but it is not a marketing email platform and has no website builder or funnel pages, so most practices keep a separate site and newsletter tool. Its client app on iOS and Android handles journaling, messaging and video. Reviewers rate it 4.7 on G2 from 296 reviews and mention a learning curve and ticket-based support. A health coach should also remember that coaching is not treatment: if a client describes symptoms, medication questions or signs of disordered eating, refer them to their doctor or a registered dietitian. Coaches without a clinical license usually need the health coaching side, not the charting side. See our Practice Better alternatives for more.

Pick it over Coachful if you are a licensed practitioner who needs a signed BAA, charting, superbills or insurance workflows.

8. Kajabi: course-heavy businesses with a larger budget

Kajabi fits a coach whose revenue comes mostly from courses, memberships and a community, and who wants email, funnels and a website wrapped around them. It replaces Flodesk and a course host at once, at a higher price.

Screenshot of the Kajabi homepage as it appeared in October 2026
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Basic is $179 a month ($143 annually) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users and 0 AI credits. Growth is $249 a month ($199 annually) with 50 products, 25,000 contacts, 11 admin users and 500 AI credits. Pro is $499 a month ($399 annually) with unlimited products, 100,000 contacts, 3 communities and 3 websites. Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, falling to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro; other processors (excluding PayPal) add a Kajabi fee of 2%, 1% or 0.5% depending on the plan. The standard trial is 14 days.

Kajabi's coaching product supports structured programs with timelines and shared notes, plus a built-in scheduler, but there are no habits, daily check-ins or contracts. Public reviewers give it 3.4 on Trustpilot from 2,347 reviews (seen October 25, 2026). Our Kajabi alternatives article compares it in more depth.

Pick it over Coachful if courses and memberships are most of your revenue and you want a white-label app on Kajabi's Growth or Pro plan.

9. Stan Store: selling from your social bio

Creators and newer coaches who sell from Instagram or TikTok often find Stan Store the fastest way to put downloads, a mini-course and paid calls behind one link. It overlaps with Flodesk's link-in-bio pages more than its newsletters.

As listed in September 2026 (Stan documents pricing on its company blog, and we could not reconfirm it this month), Creator is $29 a month ($25 annually) with unlimited products and customers, courses, memberships, community and calendar bookings. Creator Pro is $99 a month ($79 annually) and adds email marketing (flows and broadcasts), upsells, discount codes and affiliates. Stan charges no platform fee; Stripe or PayPal processing applies.

Because email sits only on the $99 plan, a coach leaving Flodesk would either pay for Pro or keep a separate email tool. There are no contracts, invoices, intake questionnaires, client records or programs with tasks and check-ins. Reviewers rate it 4.7 on Trustpilot from 2,156 reviews in our September profile and praise its setup speed, while some report delayed payouts and charges after the trial.

Pick it over Coachful if nearly all of your sales come from a social bio link and you sell products more than ongoing coaching.

10. Kartra: funnel-heavy marketing with a bigger list

Kartra targets marketers who want funnels, email and SMS sequences, checkout and memberships in one system, and who already have a list large enough to justify the cost. For coaches, it is the most marketing-first option here.

Kartra's pricing page blocked our request in October 2026, so these figures are as listed in September 2026 and may have changed. Essentials was $59 a month ($52 annually) with 500 contacts, 5 pages, 1 product and a 5% transaction fee. Starter was $119 a month ($99 annually) with 2,500 contacts, unlimited pages and products, and 0% fees. Growth was $229 a month ($189 annually) with 12,500 contacts and affiliates. Professional was $549 a month ($429 annually) with 25,000 contacts.

Kartra includes native calendars for call bookings and if/then automations with lead scoring. It has no e-signature contracts, no habit tracking or client check-ins and no app for students or admins, and community reportedly needs the Growth tier. Reviewers cite a steep learning curve and slow support (3.9 on G2 from 57 reviews, 3.4 on Trustpilot, per our September profile). Our ClickFunnels alternatives roundup covers similar funnel tools.

Pick it over Coachful if you run paid-traffic funnels with lead scoring at scale and coaching delivery is a small part of the business.

How do the 10 alternatives compare feature by feature?

Only one tool on this list covers both sides: marketing email and the coaching that follows. The matrix below uses the vendors' documentation; "partial" means the feature exists with a significant limit noted in the tool's section above. Flodesk is included at the bottom as the baseline.

ToolNewsletters and sequencesBookingContractsPrograms, habits, check-insCoursesCommunityClient app

KajabiYesYesNoPartialYesYesYes (Growth and Pro)
Stan StorePartial (Pro only)YesNoNoYesYesNo
KartraYesYesNoNoYesPartialNo
Flodesk (baseline)YesNoNoNoNoNoNo

The pattern is clear. Email tools (Kit, Flodesk) stop at the inbox. Marketing suites (Systeme.io, Kajabi, Kartra, Podia, Stan Store) add courses and checkouts but not client delivery. Practice tools (HoneyBook, Paperbell, Practice Better) handle the business side of 1:1 work but leave newsletters to someone else. If you want both halves, compare our scheduling software and coaching software pages as well.

What does each stack cost per month?

The fair comparison is the whole stack, not one plan. Using the example coach from our criteria (15 clients, one group program, about 1,000 subscribers), here are three realistic setups at monthly billing. These are illustrative stacks; payment processing is extra in every case.

StackMonthly cost (as listed)What is coveredWhat is still missing
Coachful on its ownSolo: $49/month for up to 20 clientsEmail lists and sequences, website and funnels, booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community, client appPayPal; HIPAA workflows; your own App Store listing
Flodesk Pro + Paperbell$28 + $97 = $125Newsletters and workflows, 1:1 packages with booking, payment and contractGroup program delivery, habits, check-ins, community, courses
Systeme.io Startup + Practice Better Professional$17 + $69 = $86Email, funnels, a simple course, booking, client portal, fixed-date programsBranded portal and evergreen programs (need Plus, raising the total to $116), community space, contracts linked to your marketing

Two things stand out. The two-tool stacks keep your subscriber data and your client data in separate places, so a new client must be added twice or synced through Zapier. And each missing piece usually becomes a third subscription: a community app, a course host or an e-signature tool.

How would you move from Flodesk to Coachful?

A typical move takes a weekend of your time, less if you use the free build service. Here is the order we suggest, and what your clients see at each stage.

A tablet showing a client's group program and a laptop showing a goal with daily tasks and habits
The client view of an enrolled group program and a goal's Daily momentum section in Coachful, with demo data.
  1. Save your list before you cancel. Flodesk's data export options were not documented on the pages we checked, so confirm in its help center that you can download your subscribers and their segments. Keep a record of how each person opted in. The FTC's CAN-SPAM guide covers US commercial email rules, and the overview of the GDPR explains the consent rules that apply to EU subscribers. Check with an attorney if your list spans several countries.
  2. Ask for the build. Request your website, lead-magnet funnel and welcome sequence through the white-glove form, attaching your Flodesk templates, logo and copy as references. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding; ask about your subscriber list at the same time.
  3. Connect Stripe and your calendar. Link your Stripe Connect or Razorpay account and sync Google, Apple or Outlook. Set availability, buffers and intake questions on your discovery-call booking page.
  4. Turn your offer into a program. Start from one of the program templates, add weekly goals, daily tasks and a morning check-in, and attach the agreement that clients sign before the first call.
  5. Point the funnel at the offer. The lead magnet adds subscribers to a list, the sequence nurtures them, and the final email links to the booking page or checkout.

From the client's side, the experience becomes one path. They download your guide and receive the welcome emails, book a call that lands in your calendar with a video link, then pay and sign in one checkout. After that they open your branded app and see their program, sessions, progress and documents in one place, as in the demo below. Learn more about lead magnets that convert if you are rebuilding the opt-in.

Which mistakes should you avoid when leaving Flodesk?

The most expensive mistake is choosing a cheaper email tool and keeping the same five-app stack around it. Other common ones:

  • Comparing headline prices only. Flodesk, Kit and Kajabi all scale with contacts, and several tools gate key features (email on Stan Store, evergreen programs on Practice Better, community on Kartra) behind higher tiers.
  • Cancelling before exporting. Download subscribers, segments and any sales records first, and screenshot your best-performing emails to rebuild.
  • Ignoring the payment country list. Check that the new tool's processor supports your country and currency before you rebuild checkouts.
  • Moving clients mid-program. Let current cohorts finish where they are, and launch the next round on the new platform.

Which Flodesk alternative should you choose?

For most coaches, Coachful is the best Flodesk alternative because it replaces the email tool and the stack around it, and the white-glove team builds your site, funnel or program for free so you are not starting from a blank page. Choose Systeme.io if your budget is zero, Kit if the newsletter is the product, Podia for a small storefront, HoneyBook for proposal-led service work, Paperbell for simple 1:1 packages, Practice Better if you are a licensed practitioner, Kajabi for course-first businesses, Stan Store for social selling and Kartra for large-scale funnels.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Flodesk alternative for coaches?

For coaches who sell programs and work with clients between sessions, Coachful is the strongest choice because email sits alongside booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses and community. If you only want a newsletter tool, Kit is the closest like-for-like swap. On a very small budget, Systeme.io's free plan can send email, unlike Flodesk's.

Can Flodesk's free plan send emails?

No. As listed in October 2026, Flodesk's Free plan includes unlimited forms, landing pages, link-in-bio pages, templates and segmentation, but no email sending. Sending starts on Lite at $25 a month ($19 billed annually) for up to 1,000 subscribers.

Does Coachful replace Flodesk for email marketing?

Yes, for most coaches. Coachful includes email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits, and the AI assistant Michelle can draft emails from your practice data. It is not a standalone newsletter platform for publishers, so a coach whose whole business is a large newsletter may prefer Kit.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a build service included on every plan. From Create, you describe what you need (a website, funnel, sales page, program, email sequence and more), attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Is Kit cheaper than Flodesk?

At the entry level, Kit's free plan covers up to 10,000 subscribers and can send, while Flodesk's free plan cannot. Among paid plans at 1,000 subscribers, Flodesk Lite lists at $25 a month and Kit Creator at $39 a month, as listed in October 2026. Kit's automations and sequences require a paid plan.

Which alternative works for coaches outside the US and Europe?

Flodesk Checkout supports payments only in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Euro Area countries. Coachful runs payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, so the countries you can sell in depend on those processors rather than a separate checkout list. Check your country against your processor's supported list before moving.

Can I use Coachful if I am a health or nutrition coach?

Yes, for coaching work: programs, habits, check-ins and the optional Fitness & Nutrition pack with meal plans, macros and progress photos. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not suitable for clinical records or insurance billing. Refer clients to a doctor or registered dietitian for anything medical.

Do I need to keep Flodesk if I move to Coachful?

Usually not, since lists, broadcasts, sequences, landing pages and link-in-bio pages are included in your Coachful membership. Some coaches keep Flodesk for a few weeks while they confirm the new sequences work, then cancel once subscribers are moved.

How does Flodesk pricing change as my list grows?

Flodesk's paid plans are priced by active subscribers, starting at the 1,000-subscriber base and rising on a slider. As listed in October 2026, Pro at the top of the slider reaches about $1,589 a month on monthly billing. The older flat-rate plan was retired for new members on December 2, 2025.

Is Paperbell or Coachful better for 1:1 coaching?

Paperbell is simpler if you only sell 1:1 packages and want one flat price per coach. Coachful adds email marketing, group programs, habits and check-ins, courses and a community, which matters once you run a group program or want clients engaged between calls.
