Mighty Networks vs Teachable: Which Fits Coaches in 2026?

If you are weighing mighty networks vs teachable for a coaching business, the short version is this: Mighty Networks is a community platform that also hosts courses, and Teachable is a course and digital-product store with very little community. Pick Mighty Networks if your members should talk to each other every day. Pick Teachable if you mainly sell self-paced courses and downloads. Neither one books 1:1 sessions, sends coaching agreements or tracks a client's habits between calls, so most coaches who choose either still pay for a scheduler, a contract tool and something for check-ins.
We make Coachful, a coaching platform that covers booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses and a community in one login. This article is a fair head-to-head of the two tools first, built from what each vendor lists on its pricing page and help docs in October 2026 and what public reviewers report. Then it covers Coachful as the third option, including the cases where it is not the right pick.
What is the short answer for Mighty Networks vs Teachable?
Mighty Networks wins for community-led programs and memberships; Teachable wins for selling self-paced courses cheaply. For coaches whose income comes from 1:1 or small-group coaching, neither is a complete answer on its own.
- You run a membership or cohort where members support each other: Mighty Networks. Community, courses, events and livestreams sit in one space, with Mighty-branded iOS and Android apps for members.
- You sell a signature course, a few mini-courses and downloads: Teachable. The Builder plan removes the transaction fee, and every self-serve plan lists unlimited students.
- You are just testing a first paid course on a small budget: Teachable Starter is the cheapest way in, but its 7.5% fee gets expensive quickly (worked example below).
- You need your own branded app in the App Store: only Mighty Pro, which is custom-priced.
- Your income is coaching sessions and programs with clients you know by name: look at a coaching platform instead. Coachful handles booking, agreements, payments, habits and check-ins next to courses and community, so the client gets one app.
If you are already leaning toward Mighty Networks, our Mighty Networks review goes deeper on its strengths and complaints. If you are leaving Teachable, see how to deliver online courses without Teachable.
How do Mighty Networks and Teachable compare side by side?
Mighty Networks is built around a community space; Teachable is built around a storefront of products. The table puts both next to a coaching platform so you can see what each leaves for other tools.
We rank on four things coaches pay for twice when they get them wrong: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort (including whether someone builds it for you).
| Platform | Built for | Starting price | Platform fee on sales | 1:1 booking | Habits and check-ins | Member or client app |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches running sessions, programs, courses and community in one place | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | 0% (Stripe or Razorpay processing only) | Yes, with two-way calendar sync and reminders | Yes: daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, streaks | Coach's branding inside the Coachful app |
| Mighty Networks | Communities, memberships, cohorts and courses | $79/month billed annually ($95 monthly), Launch | 2% Launch, 1% Scale, 0.5% Growth and Mighty Pro | No | No per-client plans | Mighty-branded apps; own branded apps on Mighty Pro only |
| Teachable | Self-paced courses and digital products | $29/month billed annually ($39 monthly), Starter | 7.5% Starter, 0% Builder and above | No native scheduling (September 2026 profile) | No | Teachable student apps for iOS and Android |
Both vendors sit at 3.3 on Trustpilot as of late October 2026: Mighty Networks from 219 reviews and Teachable from 1,110. That tie tells you little on its own; what matters is which set of trade-offs fits how you coach.

What do Mighty Networks and Teachable cost in October 2026?
Mighty Networks starts at $79 a month on annual billing and Teachable at $29 a month on annual billing, but the transaction fees change the real ranking once you have sales. Here are the plans as listed in October 2026.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Platform fee | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful (flat monthly plans) | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients | Lower plans cap clients; Pro is unlimited (Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients) | 0% | Team plans add coach seats |
| Mighty Networks Launch | $95 | $79 ($950 a year) | 2% | 3 hosts, 10 moderators, 200 GB, livestream 20 hours a month for up to 100 attendees |
| Mighty Networks Scale | $215 | $179 | 1% | 5 hosts, 15 moderators, 500 GB, livestream 30 hours a month for up to 200 attendees |
| Mighty Networks Growth | Not published | $354 | 0.5% | 10 hosts, 100 moderators, 1 TB, livestream 40 hours a month for up to 1,000 attendees |
| Mighty Pro | Custom | Custom | 0.5% | Unlimited hosts, your own branded apps |
| Teachable Starter | $39 | $29 | 7.5% | 5 products, 1 admin, unlimited students |
| Teachable Builder | $89 | $69 | 0% | 10 products, 1 admin, affiliate program |
| Teachable Growth | $189 | $139 | 0% | 50 products, 5 admins, certificates, remove Teachable branding |
| Teachable Custom | Contact sales | Contact sales | 0% | Success manager, bulk sales, migration assistance |
A note on reading Mighty's pricing page: the cards show $79, $179 and $354 "per month" without saying they are annual prices. Mighty's own help docs confirm they are, and give the monthly-billed prices of $95 for Launch and $215 for Scale. Teachable shows annual savings of $120, $240 and $600 a year on its three self-serve plans.

Trials, guarantees and payment processing
- Mighty Networks: 14-day trial, no credit card required, and trials include Growth plan features. Payments run through Stripe, with memberships in hundreds of local currencies. No free plan.
- Teachable: the plan cards show a 7-day trial plus a 30-day money-back guarantee, and a pop-up offers a 30-day trial on Builder monthly. Card requirement is not stated. Teachable Payments charges 2.9% + 30¢ on US cards and 3.9% + 30¢ on international cards; PayPal costs 3.49% + 49¢ in the US and 4.99% + 49¢ internationally; chargebacks cost $15. An optional BackOffice service adds 2% to 2.8% of sales. No free plan.
What do the fees do to a real year of sales?
The cheapest sticker price is not the cheapest year. Take an illustrative coach who sells $30,000 of courses and memberships in a year and pays annually. These are example numbers, before card processing, which every option below also pays.
| Option (example) | Subscription for the year | Platform fee on the example sales | Total before processing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | 0%, nothing added | Subscription only |
| Mighty Networks Launch | $950 | 2% = $600 | $1,550 |
| Mighty Networks Scale | $2,148 | 1% = $300 | $2,448 |
| Teachable Starter | $348 | 7.5% = $2,250 | $2,598 |
| Teachable Builder | $828 | 0% | $828 |
| Teachable Growth | $1,668 | 0% | $1,668 |
Two break-even points are worth knowing. On Teachable, Builder costs $480 a year more than Starter on annual billing, and 7.5% of $6,400 is $480, so once you sell more than about $6,400 a year, Starter is the more expensive plan. On monthly billing the gap is $50 a month, which Starter's fee eats at about $667 of sales a month. On Mighty Networks, Scale costs $1,200 a year more than Launch and saves 1% in fees, so the fee saving alone only pays for Scale above roughly $120,000 a year in sales. Most coaches move to Scale for the extra hosts, automations and integrations, not the fee.
Remember the stack, too. Neither tool books sessions or sends agreements, so add a scheduler, an e-signature tool and possibly an email platform. Our Mighty Networks pricing breakdown shows the full Mighty stack in more detail.

Which is better for building and selling courses?
Teachable is the stronger pure course store; Mighty Networks treats courses as one part of a community. If the course is the product, Teachable gives you more selling tools per dollar.
Teachable lists AI creation tools, upsells, cart recovery, global payments and taxes, and student apps on every self-serve plan, including Starter. Builder adds an affiliate program and real-time support. Growth adds certificates, the option to remove Teachable branding, imported students, custom admin permissions and free subtitles and translations. The limit you will feel is products: 5 on Starter, 10 on Builder and 50 on Growth, so a coach with many small offers can outgrow Builder quickly.
Mighty Networks includes courses on every plan alongside the community, events and AI tools it calls AI Cohost and People Magic. A course in Mighty lives inside the network, which works well for cohorts that discuss each lesson together and less well if you want a clean checkout page for a standalone self-paced course. Mighty does not cap products the way Teachable does; its limits are hosts, moderators, storage and livestream hours.
For a coach, the gap in both tools is what happens after the lesson. A course can teach a client what to do, but neither tool assigns that client a daily task, asks how the week went or shows you who has gone quiet. That follow-through is usually where coaching results come from.
Coachful's course builder covers modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, with 48 course templates that include quizzes, and courses are delivered into the same client home as sessions and habits. It is not a course marketplace, so if discovery by strangers browsing a catalogue matters to you, that is a point for neither of the three. See Coachful for online courses.

Which is better for community and group coaching?
Mighty Networks, clearly. Community is its core product, while Teachable is built around products and students rather than an ongoing member feed.
Mighty's Launch plan includes community, courses, events, livestreaming (20 hours a month for up to 100 attendees), basic automations and a custom domain. Scale adds more automations, APIs and MCP access, Kit, Zapier and affiliate integrations, and member export and tags. Growth adds advanced and AI automations, priority support, migration services and optional SSO and white-label email. Add-ons such as Engagement Boost and extra livestream viewers (up to 10,000) exist, but Mighty does not show their prices.
Teachable's feature list in October 2026 focuses on courses, digital products and payments. If your offer depends on members meeting, posting and holding each other accountable, you would pair Teachable with a separate community tool, which means a second login for clients.
Where Mighty stops is the individual. It has no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans, so a group coach running a 12-week cohort can host the conversation but cannot see whether each person did the week's work. For more on running cohorts, read how to run coaching cohorts without Mighty Networks and our Circle vs Mighty Networks comparison.
Coachful includes a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events, and creates a cohort group automatically when someone enrolls in a program, so the group and the individual plan stay linked. More on that on our group coaching software page.

Can either one handle 1:1 coaching, booking and payments?
Not on its own. Mighty Networks lists no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and Teachable had no native scheduling or calendar sync in our September 2026 profile, with coaching calls relying on outside tools such as Calendly and Zoom.
That leaves a coach on either platform building a small stack around it:
- A scheduler for discovery calls and sessions, with calendar sync and reminders.
- An e-signature tool for the coaching agreement.
- An invoicing or payments setup for packages sold outside the course store.
- Somewhere to keep session notes, intake answers and goals per client.
- Often an email platform for sequences, since neither tool is primarily an email system.
Each piece is cheap on its own. Together they add logins, monthly bills and places where a client can fall through the gaps, such as a paid client who never gets the community invite.
Payments differ too. Mighty Networks runs sales through Stripe and takes its platform fee on top. Teachable runs Teachable Payments and PayPal, so it is the one of the two that accepts PayPal; Coachful does not offer PayPal. If PayPal matters to your buyers, that is a real point for Teachable.
Coachful's booking pages cover availability rules, buffers, minimum notice, time-zone detection, two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync, built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links, intake questions on booking, and paid sessions or session credits. Agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. Payments go through the coach's own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons and refunds. See scheduling and coaching contracts.

How do the client experiences compare?
On Mighty Networks, clients join a community app; on Teachable, students log in to a course school. Both are good at their one job, and neither gives the client a single place for sessions, homework and progress.
Mighty Networks. Members use the free Mighty iOS and Android apps or the web. The apps carry Mighty's brand; your own branded apps are part of Mighty Pro, which is custom-priced. The experience is social: posts, events, livestreams and courses in one space. Public reviewers on Trustpilot give it a 3.3 average as of October 2026.
Teachable. Students get a course player and iOS and Android student apps on every self-serve plan. On Growth you can remove Teachable branding. The experience is linear: buy, watch, complete. Teachable also averages 3.3 on Trustpilot, from a much larger pool of reviews.
What a coaching client usually needs instead. A coaching client wants to know when the next session is, what they agreed to do this week, and whether they are on track. On either platform, that lives somewhere else: the calendar invite in email, notes in a document, the agreement in an e-signature inbox.
In Coachful, the client opens one branded home (your branding inside the Coachful app) with their next session, current program week, daily tasks, habits, check-ins, courses, documents and community. You see the same picture from your side, with each client marked as thriving, active, quiet or at risk.

What about integrations, data export and leaving later?
Mighty Networks exports your member list but not your posts, and Teachable exports students and reports but not courses in bulk. Plan your exit before you build, especially on Mighty.
- Mighty Networks: member list export with member tags on Launch and Scale per its plan docs. Posts and community content were not bulk-exportable in our September 2026 profile. APIs, MCP, Kit and Zapier arrive on Scale, not Launch. If you are already planning a move, use our guide to migrating from Mighty Networks.
- Teachable: students and course and sales reports export to CSV; video content is downloaded manually and there is no bulk course export (September 2026 profile). Imported students are a Growth feature.
- Coachful: full client data export as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses) plus course export. Integrations cover Google Calendar, Apple Calendar/iCloud, Outlook, Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Stripe, Razorpay, Zapier, Meta Pixel and GA4. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.
Which should you pick for your coaching business?
Match the tool to where your revenue comes from. Use this table as a quick filter, then check the plan limits above against your numbers.
| Your situation | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful: 1:1 or small-group coaching with programs, sessions and between-session work | Coachful | Booking, agreements, payments, habits, check-ins, courses and community in one login; 0% platform fee |
| Paid membership or community of 100+ members who talk daily | Mighty Networks | Community, events and livestreams are the core product, with member apps included |
| Self-paced course sales above about $6,400 a year | Teachable Builder | 0% platform fee, unlimited students, affiliate program |
| First small course, under about $6,400 a year in sales | Teachable Starter | Lowest subscription; the 7.5% fee stays smaller than the upgrade cost |
| Buyers who insist on paying by PayPal | Teachable | Supports PayPal; Mighty Networks and Coachful do not list it |
| Need your own app in the App Store | Mighty Pro | Own branded apps are part of its custom-priced plan |
| Large course catalogue with certificates and several admins | Teachable Growth | 50 products, 5 admins, certificates, branding removal |
If you are still choosing between community platforms, our Mighty Networks vs Kajabi comparison covers another common pairing, and our comparison hub lists the rest.
Is there a third option that does what both do, plus coaching?
Yes. Coachful runs courses and a community like these two tools, and adds the coaching layer neither has: booking, agreements, payments, per-client programs, habits and check-ins, all in one branded client app.

What Coachful is. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant called Michelle. Coaches get one login, and clients get one app with the coach's branding. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds a 4.5 Trustpilot score from 21 reviews.
Who it is for. Life, health, business, career and mindset coaches whose clients need follow-through between calls. Multi-week programs can carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Michelle works from your live practice data: she builds programs, drafts emails, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before each one. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. An optional AI Coach lets selected clients chat with an AI version of you between sessions, configured by you. Coachful also tracks ICF credential hours against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds.
Here is how a client program looks once it is running:

When Coachful beats both
- You sell coaching packages and need booking, an agreement and payment before the first call.
- You want clients doing daily tasks, habits and check-ins between sessions, and you want to see who is slipping.
- You are paying for a community tool, a course tool, a scheduler and an e-signature tool, and want one bill with no platform fee on sales.
- You want a website, funnels and email sequences that live in the same account as your clients. The website builder has 30 designed homepage templates, and email covers broadcasts and multi-step sequences with branching.
- You are growing into a small team: Studio and Agency plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions.
When Coachful is not the right pick
- You want a course marketplace where strangers discover you. Coachful is not one.
- Your buyers need PayPal. Coachful supports Stripe and Razorpay, not PayPal.
- You need an app under your own App Store account. Coachful's client app carries your branding inside the Coachful listing; Mighty Pro is the route for a fully separate app.
- You keep clinical records or bill insurance. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so clinical records belong in a clinical system.
- You run a very large, open community where the members, not the coach, are the product. Mighty Networks is purpose-built for that scale of livestreams and moderators.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you" and describe what you want: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, link in bio, lead quiz, event or automation. Attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. For example, a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had their homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected, and a real-estate and money coach got a year-long cohort program with an application form, an eight-page site and a nine-day bootcamp funnel. The service does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the white-glove build service.

How to start
- Start a free trial and pick a plan that fits your client count (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).
- Connect your Stripe or Razorpay account and your calendar.
- Request a white-glove build for your website, program or course, or start from one of more than 40 program templates.
- Have your clients, programs and content imported during onboarding, then invite clients to their branded app.
If you are coming from one of these two tools specifically, see our Mighty Networks alternative and Teachable alternative pages, or the roundup of Mighty Networks alternatives with 1:1 coaching.
How should you decide in the next week?
Write down where last year's revenue came from, then test the platform that matches it with your real offer. A trial with demo content tells you little.
- Split your revenue. Courses and downloads, membership dues, and coaching sessions or packages. Whichever column is largest decides the core tool.
- Price the full stack. Add the subscription, the platform fee on your expected sales, and every extra tool you would still need (scheduler, e-signature, email, habit tracker).
- Map one client's week. From booking to the second session, count how many logins your client touches on each option.
- Check the exit. Confirm what you can export before you build: members, content, notes.
- Run the trial with a real offer. Mighty Networks gives 14 days without a card, Teachable a 7-day trial plus a 30-day guarantee, and Coachful a free trial with the white-glove build available on every plan.
Frequently asked questions about Mighty Networks vs Teachable
Is Mighty Networks or Teachable cheaper?
Teachable has the lower entry price: $29 a month on annual billing for Starter, against $79 for Mighty Networks Launch, as listed in October 2026. But Starter takes 7.5% of sales, so above about $6,400 a year in sales Teachable Builder at $69 a month (annual) with a 0% fee is the cheaper Teachable plan. Mighty takes 2% on Launch.
Does Mighty Networks or Teachable charge transaction fees?
Both can. Mighty Networks charges 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, plus Stripe processing. Teachable charges 7.5% on Starter and 0% on Builder, Growth and Custom, plus Teachable Payments or PayPal processing.
Which is better for coaches, Mighty Networks or Teachable?
Mighty Networks suits coaches whose offer is a community or cohort, and Teachable suits coaches who mainly sell self-paced courses. Neither books 1:1 sessions, sends agreements or tracks a client's habits, so coaches whose income is sessions and programs usually do better with a coaching platform.
Can I run 1:1 coaching sessions on Mighty Networks or Teachable?
Not natively. Mighty Networks lists no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and Teachable had no native scheduling or calendar sync in our September 2026 profile. Coaches typically add a separate scheduler, video tool and e-signature tool.
Do Mighty Networks and Teachable have mobile apps?
Yes. Mighty Networks includes Mighty-branded iOS and Android apps on every plan, with your own branded apps only on custom-priced Mighty Pro. Teachable lists iOS and Android student apps on every self-serve plan, including Starter.
Do they offer free trials?
Mighty Networks offers a 14-day trial with no credit card required, including Growth features. Teachable shows a 7-day trial plus a 30-day money-back guarantee, with a 30-day trial pop-up on Builder monthly. Neither has a permanent free plan.
Can I move my content out of Mighty Networks or Teachable later?
Partly. Mighty Networks exports member lists with tags on Launch and Scale, but posts were not bulk-exportable in our September 2026 profile. Teachable exports students and reports to CSV, while course videos are downloaded manually.
What does Coachful's free white-glove service include?
The Coachful team builds a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, form or automation inside your account from a short brief, usually within about 24 hours. You can attach up to 8 links and 10 files. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing, and it never invents testimonials, credentials or prices.
Does Coachful replace both Mighty Networks and Teachable?
For most coaches, yes: it includes courses with drip and completion tracking and a community with group chat and video events, alongside booking, agreements, payments and per-client programs. It is not a course marketplace and does not support PayPal, so coaches who rely on either should weigh that.
Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not suited to clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Health coaches who also provide clinical care should keep those records in a clinical system.
