My PT Hub vs PT Distinction: An Honest 2026 Comparison

My PT Hub vs PT Distinction comes down to roster size and branding. My PT Hub's Premium plan gives you unlimited clients for $59 a month, so it gets cheaper per client the more people you train. PT Distinction charges by included clients plus a per-client top-up, but its $59.90 Pro plan already includes your own custom-branded iOS and Android apps, which My PT Hub sells as an add-on below its top tier. Both document workouts, nutrition and check-ins. Neither gives you a website, funnels, email marketing or courses.
Below we compare the two on October 2026 pricing, programming, nutrition, check-ins, bookings, payments, branded apps and what the client actually sees. Then we cover a third option for trainers who sell more than workout plans. We make Coachful, so that is the option we know best. We say where it wins and where it doesn't, and we stick to what each vendor documents on its own pages.
What is the short answer on My PT Hub vs PT Distinction?
Choose My PT Hub if your roster will grow past about 25 clients and you don't need an app under your own name. Choose PT Distinction if a custom-branded app matters to you and you'll stay below about 50 clients. Choose a broader platform if you also need a website, sales funnels, email, courses or contracts in the same login.
- Just starting, fewer than 4 clients: both entry plans cap you at 3 clients. PT Distinction Basic is $19.90 a month. My PT Hub Starter is $25 a month ($22.50 billed annually), and My PT Hub also has a permanent free plan you drop to after its trial.
- 10 to 25 clients: the prices land almost level. My PT Hub Premium is $59 and PT Distinction Pro is $59.90. PT Distinction includes the custom-branded app at that price.
- 40 or more clients: My PT Hub stays at $59 because Premium has no client cap. PT Distinction moves to Master ($89.90 for 50 clients) and adds $1.60 for each client after that.
- A team of trainers: My PT Hub Ultimate ($215 a month) includes 5 additional trainers. PT Distinction's pricing page doesn't list team seats on the plans we checked, so ask them before you commit.
- Selling programs, courses and memberships online, not just training clients: neither tool covers the marketing side, so look at the third option below.
How do My PT Hub and PT Distinction compare side by side?
We ranked on four things: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort.
| Platform | Best for | Entry price | Client cap | Branded app | Website and funnels |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who sell programs, courses and coaching, with training and nutrition delivered in one app | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Lower plans cap clients; Pro is unlimited | Your branding inside the Coachful app | Included: website builder, funnels, email |
| My PT Hub | Personal trainers with growing rosters who want unlimited clients on one flat price | $25/mo Starter; a free plan exists | 3 on Starter; unlimited on Premium and Ultimate | Paid add-on below Ultimate | Not shown on the pricing page |
| PT Distinction | Trainers who want their own branded app at a mid-range price | $19.90/mo Basic | 3, 25 or 50 included, then per-client fees | Included from Pro ($59.90/mo) | Website integration on Pro; no builder shown |
Both are rated well on Trustpilot. PT Distinction showed 4.8 from 297 reviews and My PT Hub showed 4.4 from 2,557 reviews when we checked on October 25, 2026. My PT Hub's sample is much larger. Use the scores to judge general satisfaction, not features.
What does each cost in October 2026?
PT Distinction costs $19.90, $59.90 or $89.90 a month, plus a fee for each client above the plan's allowance. My PT Hub costs $25, $59 or $215 a month, with cheaper annual billing, and Premium and Ultimate have no client cap. These are the prices as listed in October 2026.
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual billing (per month) | Clients included | Notable inclusions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful (all plans) | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients | Flat monthly plans; monthly plans cancel in one click | Lower plans cap clients; Pro is unlimited; team plans add coach seats | Booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, website, funnels, email, AI assistant, Fitness & Nutrition pack |
| PT Distinction Basic | $19.90 | No annual pricing shown | 3, then $6.00/mo per extra client after a free first month | Full feature list including AI Program Builder, AI Assistant, nutrition coaching, scheduled email and SMS, automated workflows, packages and payments; PT Distinction-branded apps |
| PT Distinction Pro | $59.90 | No annual pricing shown | 25, then $2.40/mo per extra client | Your own custom-branded iOS and Android apps, website integration |
| PT Distinction Master | $89.90 | No annual pricing shown | 50, then $1.60/mo per extra client | Same as Pro with more clients |
| My PT Hub Free | $0 | n/a | Limited (the plan you drop to after the trial) | Not detailed on the pricing page |
| My PT Hub Starter | $25 | $22.50 | 3 (a My PT Hub blog post says 5); 50 workouts, 50 nutrition plans | Payments, 1:1 bookings, habit coaching, metrics and progress photos, chat |
| My PT Hub Premium | $59 | $52 | Unlimited clients, workouts and nutrition plans | AI workout builder, Nutrition AI, group bookings, classes and live streams, automated check-ins, scheduled messaging, compliance tracking, community, priority support |
| My PT Hub Ultimate | $215 | $195 | Unlimited; 5 additional trainers included | All add-ons included, concierge support |

A few details matter more than the headline prices:
- My PT Hub is geo-priced. When we loaded the page it showed euros (€25, €59 and €215). Search engines' copy of the same page shows the same numbers in dollars. Expect to see the price in your local currency.
- My PT Hub add-ons were shown in euros: a custom-branded iOS and Android app for 95 one-time (Starter and Premium), a white-label App Store app for 145 a month (Premium; included in Ultimate), extra trainers at 10 a month each, Check-Ins AI at 10 a month, and Zapier at 18 a month.
- My PT Hub Premium had a launch promotion in October 2026: 50% off the first two months on monthly billing, or 70% off the first two months on annual billing. Treat that as temporary.
- PT Distinction bills monthly in USD only, with no annual discount shown.
- Trials: PT Distinction offers a one-month trial ("Cancel at any time in your first month and pay nothing"); its page doesn't say whether a card is required. My PT Hub offers 30 days with no card, then moves you to its Free plan automatically.
- Payment fees: neither pricing page lists a platform transaction fee. My PT Hub runs payments through Stripe, so Stripe's processing fees apply. PT Distinction's pricing page doesn't name a processor.
What will you actually pay at your roster size?
These are example calculations from the October 2026 list prices, on monthly billing, ignoring promotions, add-ons and payment processing. For PT Distinction we picked whichever plan is cheapest at each roster size.
| Platform | 3 clients | 10 clients | 25 clients | 40 clients | 75 clients |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients |
| PT Distinction (cheapest plan) | $19.90 (Basic) | $59.90 (Pro; Basic plus 7 extra clients would be $61.90) | $59.90 (Pro) | $89.90 (Master; Pro plus 15 extra would be $95.90) | $129.90 (Master plus 25 extra at $1.60) |
| My PT Hub (cheapest plan) | $25 (Starter), or the free plan | $59 (Premium) | $59 (Premium) | $59 (Premium) | $59 (Premium) |
The pattern is clear. Up to about 25 clients the two cost the same. After that, My PT Hub's flat Premium price pulls ahead, unless you count the white-label app add-on, which more than triples the monthly cost below Ultimate. If you want your own App Store listing and have 25 to 60 clients, PT Distinction is the cheaper way to get one.
Also count the tools you'll pay for alongside either of these: a website host, an email platform, a scheduling tool if you need one, and possibly a course platform. Our guides to Calendly pricing, Kit pricing and Kajabi pricing show what those extras typically cost.
How do workout programming and AI builders compare?
Both build training programs and both now include AI help, but where that AI sits in the plans differs. PT Distinction includes its AI Program Builder and AI Assistant on every plan, including the $19.90 Basic. My PT Hub keeps its AI workout builder for Premium and above.
Starter limits on My PT Hub matter too: 50 workouts and 50 nutrition plans. That's plenty for 3 clients. It becomes a ceiling only if you build a library of templates before your roster grows. Premium removes the limits.
Neither vendor's pricing page goes into exercise library size, video demos or programming formats such as supersets and tempo prescriptions in enough detail to compare. If those decide it for you, check them in both trials. Build one real week of a program in each and send it to a test client account on your phone.
Which handles nutrition coaching better?
Both include nutrition coaching. Neither pricing page shows enough detail to say one is clearly deeper. PT Distinction lists nutrition coaching on every plan. My PT Hub limits Starter to 50 nutrition plans and adds Nutrition AI on Premium.
Whichever you choose, keep your scope clear. Coaching is not medical or dietetic treatment. If a client reports chest pain, dizziness or fainting during exercise, a recent injury or surgery, pregnancy, a diagnosed condition such as diabetes or heart disease, medication that affects heart rate or blood sugar, or signs of disordered eating, they need clearance from a doctor before you program for them. Refer clinical nutrition needs to a registered dietitian. Neither these tools nor Coachful are built to hold clinical medical records.
How do check-ins, habits and automations compare?
PT Distinction puts automation on every plan: its Basic plan already includes automated workflows and scheduled email and SMS. On My PT Hub, Starter covers habit coaching, metrics, progress photos and chat. Automated check-ins, scheduled messaging and compliance tracking start at Premium, and Check-Ins AI is a further add-on (10 a month, seen in euros).
In practice, the clients you keep are the ones who hear from you between sessions. If you're on a tight budget with a handful of clients, PT Distinction Basic gets you automation for less. If you're on My PT Hub, budget for Premium from the start, because Starter without automated check-ins means sending every reminder yourself.
Can you take bookings and payments in both?
My PT Hub lists 1:1 bookings and payments on Starter, and group bookings, classes and live streams on Premium. PT Distinction lists selling packages and taking payments on every plan. Its pricing page doesn't list session booking or calendar sync, so confirm how it handles scheduling during the trial if you run in-person or video sessions.
My PT Hub runs payments through Stripe. Neither page lists PayPal, contracts with e-signature, or a booking page that syncs both ways with Google or Outlook. If you need those, you'll probably add a scheduling tool and an e-signature tool on top. Check our scheduling software and coaching contracts pages for what an all-in-one setup includes instead.
Which one gives you a branded app?
PT Distinction is the clear winner here. Pro, at $59.90 a month, includes your own custom-branded iOS and Android apps, and Master includes them as well. Basic clients use PT Distinction's own app.
My PT Hub sells branding separately. A custom-branded app costs 95 one-time on Starter or Premium, and a white-label app in the App Store under your own listing is 145 a month on Premium (both amounts seen in euros). Ultimate, at $215, includes all add-ons. If an App Store listing in your own name is a hard requirement, PT Distinction Pro is the lowest-cost route of the two.
What does the client experience look like?
Both vendors describe a similar client loop: see today's workout, track habits and progress, check in and message the coach. The differences are what the client can buy from you and where it lives.
- Community: My PT Hub includes a community on Premium. PT Distinction's pricing page doesn't show one.
- Group classes and live streams: My PT Hub Premium lists them. PT Distinction doesn't on its pricing page.
- Branding: PT Distinction Pro clients see your app. My PT Hub clients see My PT Hub's app unless you pay for branding.
- Buying from you: both take payments. Neither gives the client a storefront of courses, digital downloads or bundles, or a sales page on your own website.
That last point is where trainer-only tools stop. A prospect finds you on Instagram, lands on a website you built elsewhere, books through a third tool, signs a PDF by email, then downloads the training app. Every handoff is a place where people drop off.
Which should you pick for which kind of coach?
Match the tool to how you sell, not only how you train. Here is how we'd decide.
| Your situation | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful: you sell programs, coaching and courses online and want training, nutrition, booking, payments, website and email in one login | Coachful | One subscription covers the whole client journey, with your branding in the client app and a free white-glove build to set it up |
| New trainer, 1 to 3 clients, tight budget | PT Distinction Basic or the My PT Hub free plan | Lowest cost. PT Distinction Basic includes automation and AI |
| Growing past 25 clients, no need for your own app | My PT Hub Premium | Unlimited clients for a flat price |
| 25 to 60 clients and you want your own App Store app | PT Distinction Pro or Master | Branded apps included without an add-on |
| Small studio with several trainers | My PT Hub Ultimate, or ask PT Distinction about seats | Ultimate includes 5 additional trainers and every add-on |
| You run group classes and live streams | My PT Hub Premium | Listed on Premium |
If you're also weighing other trainer apps, our Everfit vs PT Distinction comparison covers per-client pricing in more detail, and the comparison hub lists every head-to-head we've written.
Is there a third option that beats both?
Yes, if you sell more than workout plans. Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. You have one login. Your clients get one app with your branding. For trainers, the Fitness & Nutrition pack adds the training tools. We make Coachful, so weigh this section with that in mind.

Training and nutrition delivery
The Fitness & Nutrition pack is built for the work My PT Hub and PT Distinction are known for:
- A workout builder with a library of illustrated exercises, supporting supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals and tempo.
- Client workout logging with set history and personal records.
- Nutrition targets down to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning.
- Private progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins, and challenges.
- Private form-check video, with your comments at specific timestamps.
Exercises are illustrated, and you attach your own demo videos. Coachful does not supply stock exercise video.

Between-session delivery
Multi-week programs run with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars, and streaks. The client record pulls together goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions. Each client also gets an AI briefing and a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you can see who's slipping before they cancel.

Here is a short walkthrough of how programs are built and delivered:

Booking, payments and contracts
Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection. Calendars sync both ways with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook. Sessions use built-in video or automatically created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Clients get email reminders, plus SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions and session credits and ask intake questions at booking.
Payments go through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account. You can sell one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps and coupons, and accept Apple Pay and Google Pay. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. More on payments and contracts.

The part trainer apps leave out: selling
This is where Coachful differs most from both. You get a section-based website builder with a blog, a custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates. You also get booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking, a link-in-bio page that sells, and email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences. Courses with drip and completion tracking, plus a community feed, group chat and video events, live in the same client app. See courses and group coaching for details.

Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data. She can build programs, draft emails and content, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before each call. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership. Confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.
Why Coachful stands out
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. Go to Create, then We'll build it for you, and describe what you want: a website, funnel, offer or sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, form, link in bio, event or automation. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, such as logos, photos, brand guides or copy. The Coachful team then builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and any gaps are left for you to fill. The service doesn't cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. For example, a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream, with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. A leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Read more about the white-glove build.

When does Coachful not beat My PT Hub or PT Distinction?
When you only need a training app and nothing else, or when one specific feature below decides it for you. To be specific:
- You want your app in the App Store under your own name. Coachful's client app carries your branding inside the Coachful app, not your own App Store account. PT Distinction Pro includes that. My PT Hub sells it as an add-on.
- You need wearable data. Coachful has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly. Check what each trainer app supports before you rely on it.
- You want stock exercise videos on day one. Coachful's exercises are illustrated and you attach your own videos.
- You only train 1 to 3 people and want the lowest possible bill. My PT Hub's free plan or PT Distinction Basic will cost less.
- You need PayPal. Coachful doesn't support it.
- You work in a clinical setting. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and doesn't sign a BAA, so clinical records belong in a clinical system.
Coachful wins when the training app is only one piece of your business: when you also need a website, a lead funnel, email follow-up, contracts, courses or a community, and you're paying for four to six tools to cover them. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. Team plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions, which suits a small studio (see Coachful for teams).
How do you get started on Coachful?
Start a free trial, then request the white-glove build for your website or first program. During onboarding your clients, programs and content are imported for you. Who it's for: fitness, nutrition and health coaches who deliver multi-week programs, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing several tools. What it doesn't do: clinical record-keeping, PayPal, wearable sync, or a standalone App Store app under your name. If you train clients and also sell coaching, start with Coachful for fitness coaches or health coaches, or see the full coaching software overview.
How do you switch between these tools without losing clients?
Plan the move before your current billing renews. Neither My PT Hub nor PT Distinction documents a client data export on the pages we checked, so ask support what you can take out (programs, client history, progress photos) before you start a trial elsewhere.
- Export or screenshot every active client's current program, nutrition targets and latest check-in.
- Rebuild your three most-used program templates in the new tool first.
- Move clients in batches at the start of a new training block, not mid-block.
- Send each client a short message with the new app link and what changes for them.
- Keep the old account for one billing cycle as a reference, then cancel.
If you move to Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. You can also export full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses) whenever you like.
Frequently asked questions
Is My PT Hub cheaper than PT Distinction?
Above about 25 clients, yes. My PT Hub Premium is $59 a month with unlimited clients. PT Distinction charges $89.90 for 50 clients plus $1.60 for each client after that. At 25 clients or fewer the two cost about the same, and PT Distinction includes a custom-branded app at that price.
Does PT Distinction have a free plan?
No. PT Distinction offers a one-month trial, and its cheapest plan is Basic at $19.90 a month for 3 clients. My PT Hub does have a free plan, which your account drops to automatically after its 30-day trial.
Which one gives me my own branded app?
PT Distinction includes custom-branded iOS and Android apps on Pro ($59.90) and Master ($89.90). My PT Hub charges extra for branding below Ultimate: a one-time custom-branded app, or a monthly add-on for a white-label App Store listing (prices seen in euros).
Do My PT Hub or PT Distinction include a website or funnels?
Neither pricing page shows a website builder, funnels, email marketing or a course builder. PT Distinction Pro lists website integration, which connects the app to a website you already have. You'll need separate tools for marketing.
Why are My PT Hub's prices showing in euros?
My PT Hub sets prices by location. In October 2026 we saw €25, €59 and €215 from Europe, while search engines' copy of the same page showed $25, $59 and $215. Check the price shown in your region before you sign up.
Is Coachful a replacement for My PT Hub or PT Distinction?
For many trainers, yes. The Fitness & Nutrition pack covers workouts, logging, macros, meal plans, check-ins and form-check video, and Coachful adds booking, contracts, a website, funnels, email and courses. It isn't the right swap if you need your own App Store app, wearable sync or stock exercise videos.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
Coachful's team builds things for you inside your own account, at no extra cost on every plan: a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence and more. You describe what you want and attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and it's usually ready within about 24 hours. It doesn't include recording videos, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.
Can these apps be used for clients with medical conditions?
They can deliver training to clients who have medical clearance, but coaching is not medical treatment. Clients with chest pain, recent injury or surgery, pregnancy, diagnosed conditions or signs of disordered eating should be cleared by a doctor first, and clinical nutrition belongs with a registered dietitian. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified.
How do the trials compare?
PT Distinction offers a one-month trial you can cancel without paying. My PT Hub offers 30 days with no card required. Coachful offers a free trial, and the white-glove build means your site or first program can be ready to test during it.
