My PT Hub vs Trainerize (2026): Pricing, Features, Verdict

If you are weighing my pt hub vs trainerize, the short answer is this: My PT Hub is the better value once you coach more than a handful of clients, because its Premium plan covers unlimited clients with bookings and payments built in, while Trainerize prices by client seats and sells scheduling, payments and video as add-ons below its studio tier. Trainerize is the stronger pick if you coach one or two clients, want its free and very cheap tiers, or need its app and wearable integrations. Neither one gives you a website, courses or email marketing, which is where a third option comes in.
We make Coachful, so read our verdict with that in mind. Every vendor price below is as listed on the vendors' own pricing pages in October 2026, and we say clearly where those pages contradict themselves. We have not run either app with paying clients; we report what each vendor documents and what public reviewers say.
What is the short answer for each kind of coach?
Pick by roster size and by how much of your business you want inside one tool. Here is the quick version before the detail.
- You train 1 or 2 clients and want to spend almost nothing: Trainerize. Its Basic plan is free for 1 client and Grow is $10 a month for 2 clients, as listed in October 2026.
- You train 10 to 100 clients online and want one flat bill: My PT Hub Premium. It lists unlimited clients, workouts and nutrition plans at $59 a month (shown as €59 in some regions), with 1:1 bookings and payments already part of the lower Starter plan.
- You run a studio with several locations: Trainerize Studio Plus or My PT Hub Ultimate. Trainerize aims Studio Plus at 500+ clients and "5+ locations"; My PT Hub Ultimate includes 5 additional trainers and every add-on.
- You sell programs, courses and group coaching alongside training, and want a website and email in the same login: Coachful, with its Fitness & Nutrition pack. More on where it wins and where it does not further down.
If Trainerize is the tool you already use and you are mainly deciding whether to leave, our Trainerize review and Trainerize alternatives roundup go deeper on that one product.
How do My PT Hub and Trainerize compare side by side?
On features for training clients, the two are close; the real differences are pricing model, what is included versus sold as an add-on, and how far each goes beyond workouts and nutrition.
Ranked by one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort:
| Tool | Best for | Pricing model | Workouts and nutrition | Bookings and payments | Website, courses, email | Client app |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches selling programs, courses and group coaching alongside training | Flat monthly plans; lower plans cap clients, Pro is unlimited | Workout builder with illustrated exercise library, logging and PRs, macros, meal plans, recipes, barcode scanning (Fitness & Nutrition pack) | Booking pages, calendar sync, coach's own Stripe or Razorpay, 0% platform fee | Website builder, funnels, courses, community, email sequences included | Coach's branding inside the Coachful app |
| My PT Hub | Solo trainers with a growing online roster | Flat tiers; Starter capped at 3 clients, Premium unlimited | Workouts, nutrition plans, AI workout builder and Nutrition AI on Premium | 1:1 bookings and Stripe payments from Starter; group bookings and classes on Premium | None shown on the pricing page | Branded app as a one-time add-on; own App Store listing as a monthly add-on below Ultimate |
| Trainerize | Trainers with very few clients, or studios | Client-seat tiers (1, 2, 5, 15, 30, 50 and up) | Workouts from Basic; meal and macro tracking from Grow; Advanced Nutrition is a paid add-on | Scheduling and payments are paid add-ons below Studio Plus | None (no course builder, website, funnels or email marketing) | Custom branded app as a one-time setup fee on Pro |
Both are dedicated personal-training apps. Coachful is a broader coaching platform that added training tools through a pack, which is why it wins for coaches whose business is more than workouts, and why a pure in-person PT with wearable-loving clients may still prefer one of the other two.

How much do My PT Hub and Trainerize cost?
At 3 clients they cost about the same; past 5 clients My PT Hub's unlimited Premium plan pulls clearly ahead, especially once you add the Trainerize add-ons most online trainers need. Here are the listed plans.
| Tool | Entry paid plan | Unlimited clients | Free plan or trial | Payments |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | A free trial; monthly plans cancel in one click | Coach's own Stripe Connect or Razorpay; 0% platform fee |
| My PT Hub | Starter: $25/month ($22.50 annual), 3 clients, 50 workouts, 50 nutrition plans | Premium: $59/month ($52 annual); Ultimate: $215/month ($195 annual) with 5 extra trainers | Free plan; 30-day trial, no card, downgrades to Free at the end | Stripe; no extra fee listed |
| Trainerize | Grow: $10/month ($9 annual), 2 clients; Pro: from $25/month ($23 annual) for 5 clients | No unlimited tier; Studio Plus from $275/month for up to 500 clients | Basic free for 1 client; 30-day trial with unlimited clients, no card | Stripe Integrated Payments add-on, $10/month |
Two caveats from the vendor pages themselves. My PT Hub's pricing page is geo-priced: our capture shows euros (€25, €59, €215), while search indexes of the same page show the same numbers in dollars. Premium also carried a launch promotion in October 2026 (50% off the first two months on monthly billing, 70% off on annual). Trainerize's page contradicts itself: the plan cards show $9, $23 and $248, which match its stated 10% annual discount, while its FAQ says Grow "starts at $10", Pro at $25 and Studio Plus at $275 for up to 500 members. It also no longer prints the Pro prices above 5 clients. For the full Trainerize breakdown, see our Trainerize pricing guide.

Which add-ons change the real bill?
Trainerize's add-ons matter far more than My PT Hub's, because they cover everyday business features. My PT Hub's add-ons are mostly about branding and integrations.
| Add-on | My PT Hub (seen in euros) | Trainerize |
|---|---|---|
| Scheduling and selling products | Included (1:1 bookings on Starter; group bookings on Premium) | Business add-on, $25/month |
| In-app payments | Included via Stripe | Stripe Integrated Payments, $10/month |
| Video calls | Live streams and classes on Premium | Video Coaching, $10/month (50 h calls, 100 h streaming) |
| Advanced nutrition | Nutrition AI on Premium | $20/month (Grow to Pro 15), $45/month (Pro 30 to 200) |
| Branded client app | €95 one-time (Starter, Premium) | $169 one-time setup (Pro) |
| Own App Store listing | €145/month (Premium; included in Ultimate) | Studio-level branded app on Studio Plus |
| Extra trainers | €10/month each (Premium) | Not listed for Pro |
| Other | Check-Ins AI €10/month; Zapier €18/month | FitMetrics from $6 per client |
What does a typical roster actually cost?
Worked example: an online trainer who wants bookings, in-app payments and advanced nutrition. These are illustrative totals built from the listed prices, before payment processing and before any branded-app fees. Trainerize's Pro 15 and Pro 50 figures ($50 and $135 a month) come from our September 2026 profile of its page, since it no longer prints them.
| Tool | 3 clients | 15 clients | 40 clients |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients |
| My PT Hub | Starter, $25 (no Nutrition AI) | Premium, $59 | Premium, $59 |
| Trainerize | Pro 5 $25 + Business $25 + Payments $10 + Nutrition $20 = $80 | Pro 15 $50 + $25 + $10 + $20 = $105 | Pro 50 $135 + $25 + $10 + $45 = $215 |
The gap is the story of this comparison. If you only need workouts and messaging, Trainerize's base tiers are cheap. The moment you need it to take bookings and collect money, My PT Hub's flat Premium price is hard to beat among pure training apps. Coachful's plans cover a wider stack (website, email, courses, community) for one fee, which only pays off if you would otherwise pay for those tools separately.

Which has the better workout builder?
Both cover the core job well: build programs, assign them, and let clients log workouts on their phones. The differences sit in which plan unlocks what.
Trainerize gives workouts and the mobile app even on the free Basic plan. Grow adds its AI Workout Builder and custom programs, and Pro adds custom exercise videos, so you can film your own demos. Pro also adds challenges, a common way trainers run group goals inside the app.
My PT Hub includes workouts from Starter, but caps Starter at 50 workouts and 50 nutrition plans. Premium removes those caps and adds an AI workout builder. If you build a new block for every client, the 50-workout cap on Starter will bite before the 3-client cap does.
Coachful, through its Fitness & Nutrition pack, has a workout builder with an exercise library of illustrated exercises and supports supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals and tempo. Clients log sets and see their set history and PRs. It does not ship stock exercise videos; you attach your own demo videos. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, can draft a program for you from your practice data.

How do the nutrition coaching tools compare?
My PT Hub bundles more nutrition into its main plans; Trainerize splits nutrition between its base plans and a paid add-on.
My PT Hub lists nutrition plans from Starter (up to 50) and adds Nutrition AI on Premium. Trainerize adds meal and macro tracking from Grow, then sells Advanced Nutrition Coaching as an add-on at $20 a month on smaller tiers and $45 a month from Pro 30 upward. Recipes and meals as a feature appear on its Studio Plus tier. If you are a nutrition-first coach, our Trainerize alternatives for nutrition coaches compares ten options on this point alone.
Coachful's pack covers nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, plus private progress photos and measurements and weekly check-ins.
A scope note that applies to all three tools: fitness and nutrition coaching is not medical care. Ask new clients about heart conditions, chest pain or dizziness on exertion, recent injuries or surgery, pregnancy, diabetes, and signs of disordered eating, and refer them to a doctor or registered dietitian before you program for them. The US Physical Activity Guidelines are a useful public baseline for general advice.
Which handles bookings, payments and the business side better?
My PT Hub does, at every price point below Trainerize's studio tier. It includes 1:1 bookings and Stripe payments on Starter, and group bookings, classes and live streams on Premium.
Trainerize treats the business side as optional extras. Scheduling, referrals, selling products and premium content sit in the Business add-on ($25 a month). In-app payments need the Stripe Integrated Payments add-on ($10 a month), and Stripe's own fees apply on top. Video calls are the Video Coaching add-on ($10 a month). Studio Plus includes all add-ons, plus prospect booking, referral links, group video calls and an API.
Neither tool lists coaching agreements with e-signature, a website builder, sales funnels or email marketing on its pricing page. That means most online trainers on either app still pay separately for a site, an email tool and a contract tool. Coachful's answer to that gap is below.

What about check-ins, automations and messaging?
My PT Hub puts more of its automation in the main Premium plan; Trainerize spreads messaging features across tiers.
My PT Hub Premium lists automated check-ins, scheduled messaging, compliance tracking and a community space, with Check-Ins AI as a €10 add-on and Zapier as an €18 add-on. Starter includes chat, habit coaching, metrics and progress photos.
Trainerize includes basic messaging and habit and lifestyle coaching from Basic. Pro adds advanced messaging, welcome emails and consultation forms. Grow adds app and wearable integrations, which is a genuine Trainerize advantage for clients who already track with a watch.
Coachful handles this with coaching flows: morning and evening check-ins, weekly check-ins, habits with streaks, and goals with progress bars, plus email reminders and automated email sequences. Every client record gets a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you see who is drifting before they cancel. Here is a short walkthrough of check-ins in Coachful:

What do clients actually see in each app?
On all three, clients use a phone app that shows your workouts, nutrition and messages; the difference is how much of your brand they see and what it costs to get there.
My PT Hub offers a custom branded iOS and Android app as a one-time €95 add-on on Starter and Premium. A white-label app under your own App Store listing costs €145 a month on Premium and is included in Ultimate.
Trainerize charges a $169 one-time setup for a custom branded app on Pro, and includes a studio-level branded app on Studio Plus.
Coachful gives clients one branded home and app with your branding, published under the Coachful listing rather than your own App Store account. Inside it, clients find their program, sessions, habits, check-ins, courses, community and payments in one place, with one login. If your own App Store listing matters to you, My PT Hub and Trainerize both offer that path and Coachful does not.

Data portability is part of client experience too, because it decides how painful leaving is. Our earlier profile of Trainerize found its client data export excluded messages, photos and attachments. My PT Hub's export is not documented on the pages we checked. Coachful exports full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses).
What do coaches say in public reviews?
My PT Hub has the much stronger public rating. On Trustpilot in October 2026, My PT Hub showed 4.4 from 2,557 reviews and Trainerize showed 3.1 from 100 reviews. Coachful shows 4.5 from 21 reviews, a far smaller sample.
Treat these as a signal, not a verdict. Review counts this different mean the averages are not equally reliable, and Trustpilot reviews mix trainers and their clients. Read the most recent one- and two-star reviews for each tool before you commit, since those tend to show the problems a vendor's own pages leave out, such as billing changes and support response times.
Which should you pick for your coaching business?
Match the tool to how you earn, not only to how you train. This table sums it up.
| Tool | Pick it if you | Skip it if you |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Sell programs, courses or group coaching, want your website, funnels, email, booking and payments in one login, and want the build done for you | Need wearable sync, stock exercise videos, PayPal, or your own App Store listing |
| My PT Hub | Train 4 to 100+ clients online and want unlimited clients, bookings and payments for one flat fee | Also need a website, courses or email marketing in the same tool |
| Trainerize | Train 1 to 5 clients, want a free start, or want app and wearable integrations | Need scheduling and payments without stacking add-ons on a seat-priced plan |
Pick My PT Hub over Coachful if you are a personal trainer whose whole offer is programmed training and nutrition, you want unlimited clients at a known flat price, and you are happy running your website and email elsewhere.
Pick Trainerize over Coachful if your clients rely on wearable data, you coach a single client and want to pay nothing, or you run a multi-location studio that fits Studio Plus.

Is there a third option that beats both?
For coaches who sell more than workouts, yes: Coachful replaces a training app plus the website, email, course and booking tools you would otherwise bolt on. For a pure personal trainer who only programs and messages, My PT Hub or Trainerize may be the simpler fit.

What Coachful is, and who it is for
Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. It is built for coaches who deliver programs rather than just sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six separate tools. For trainers, the Fitness & Nutrition pack adds the workout builder, workout logging with PRs, nutrition targets, meal plans, recipes, barcode scanning, progress photos and measurements, private form-check video with timestamped coach comments, and challenges. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia. See how it fits fitness coaches specifically.
Where Coachful beats both
- Your website and sales in the same login. A section-based website builder with blog, custom domain and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels. Neither My PT Hub nor Trainerize lists this.
- Email marketing. Lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits.
- Courses and community. Courses with modules, drip and completion tracking; a community feed, group chat and video events, with cohort groups created automatically when someone joins a program.
- Agreements before the first session. Coaching agreements with e-signature, stored on the client record.
- Scheduling that is not an add-on. Booking pages with buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, two-way Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync, and built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links.
- Payments through your own account. Stripe Connect or Razorpay, with subscriptions, payment plans, coupons, order bumps, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.
- An AI assistant that knows your practice. Michelle builds programs, drafts emails, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before each session.

Where Coachful does not beat them
- No Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available. Trainerize lists wearable integrations.
- No stock exercise videos; you attach your own demos.
- The client app carries your branding inside the Coachful app, not under your own App Store account.
- No PayPal, and no permanent free plan, so Trainerize's Basic tier is cheaper for a single client.
- Not HIPAA-certified and no BAA, so clinical records belong in a clinical system (see the HHS HIPAA overview).
- No multi-stage sales deal board for large teams and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration.

Why Coachful stands out
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build things for you from Create, under "We'll build it for you". Describe what you want (a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, form, link in bio and more), attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos and copy, and the team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover filming videos, logo design or running ads. One recent example: a business mentor got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Read more about the white-glove service.

For a training business, a sensible first request is a site with one clear call to action. Templates such as Kinetic are aimed at performance coaches:

How to start
Start a free trial, then submit a white-glove request for your website or first program. During onboarding, your clients, programs and content are imported for you. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. Monthly plans cancel in one click.
How do you switch from Trainerize or My PT Hub without losing clients?
Move in a quiet week, export what you can first, and run both tools side by side for one billing cycle so nobody misses a session or a payment.
- Export before you cancel. Download client lists, programs and any measurements each tool lets you export. On Trainerize, save messages and progress photos separately, since our earlier profile found they were not in its export.
- Rebuild programs, not history. Bring your current training blocks across first; old completed blocks can stay as PDFs.
- Move recurring payments last. Set up new subscriptions in the new tool, confirm the first charge, then cancel the old one.
- Tell clients once, with a date. Send one message with the new app link and the switch date, and a reminder two days before.
Our step-by-step guide on how to migrate from Trainerize covers this in more detail, and on Coachful the import is done for you during onboarding.
Frequently asked questions
Is My PT Hub cheaper than Trainerize?
For most online trainers with more than 5 clients, yes. My PT Hub Premium lists unlimited clients at $59 a month, while Trainerize prices by client seats and charges extra for scheduling, payments and advanced nutrition. For 1 or 2 clients, Trainerize's free Basic and $10 Grow plans are cheaper.
Does Trainerize have a free plan?
Yes. As listed in October 2026, Trainerize Basic is free for 1 client and includes the mobile app, workouts, basic messaging and habit coaching. Its 30-day trial gives unlimited clients with no card and then reverts to that 1-client plan.
Does My PT Hub have a free plan?
Yes. My PT Hub lists a free plan, and its 30-day trial needs no card details and downgrades automatically to the Free plan when it ends. Its paid Starter plan covers 3 clients.
Which is better for nutrition coaching, My PT Hub or Trainerize?
My PT Hub includes nutrition plans from Starter and adds Nutrition AI on Premium. Trainerize includes meal and macro tracking from Grow but sells Advanced Nutrition Coaching as a $20 or $45 monthly add-on depending on tier. Nutrition-first coaches usually get more for the money on My PT Hub.
Can I get my own branded app with either tool?
Both offer it. My PT Hub charges a one-time €95 for a branded app and €145 a month for your own App Store listing on Premium (included in Ultimate). Trainerize charges a $169 one-time setup on Pro and includes a studio-level branded app on Studio Plus.
Do My PT Hub or Trainerize include a website or email marketing?
Neither lists a website builder, sales funnels, email marketing or a course builder on its pricing page. Most trainers on either tool run those with separate products, which is the main reason coaches with broader offers look at an all-in-one platform.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a build service included on every Coachful plan. You describe what you want, such as a website, funnel, program or email sequence, attach links and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include filming videos, logo design or ad management.
Does Coachful sync with wearables like Garmin or Apple Health?
No. Coachful has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available. If wearable data drives your coaching, Trainerize's app and wearable integrations are a reason to choose it.
Can I coach clients with medical conditions on these apps?
Fitness and nutrition coaching is not medical treatment on any of these tools. Clients with heart conditions, recent injuries, pregnancy, diabetes or signs of disordered eating should get clearance from a doctor first, and clinical records belong in a clinical system. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified.
Which should a brand-new personal trainer choose?
If you have one or two clients and only need workouts, Trainerize's free and Grow plans cost the least. If you expect to grow past a handful of clients online, My PT Hub Premium's flat price scales better. If you also need a website and a way to sell programs from day one, start a Coachful trial and use the white-glove build to get set up; see our page for new coaches.
