My PT Hub vs TrueCoach (2026): Pricing, Features, Verdict

If you are weighing my pt hub vs truecoach, here is the short version. TrueCoach is the cleaner pick for a strength coach who programs workouts and wants a big stock exercise video library, and who has 20 clients or fewer. My PT Hub is the better value once you pass about 20 clients, because its Premium plan has no client cap, and it adds bookings, group classes and a free plan. Neither one runs the rest of a coaching business: no website, no funnels, no email marketing, no courses.
That last gap is why this comparison ends with a third option. We make Coachful, a coaching platform that puts booking, payments, programs, check-ins, a fitness and nutrition pack, a community, a website and email under one login. It is not the right answer for every trainer, and we say exactly where TrueCoach or My PT Hub still wins. All vendor prices below are as listed on each vendor's own pricing page in October 2026.
Which is better for you, My PT Hub or TrueCoach?
It depends on how many clients you train and how much of your business you want inside the app. Here is the answer by use case before the detail.
- You coach 5 or fewer online clients, mostly strength programming: TrueCoach Starter. It covers up to 5 active clients and includes its 3,000+ exercise video library, messaging and automated payments.
- You coach 20 to 100+ clients and want one price that does not climb: My PT Hub Premium. It lists unlimited clients, workouts and nutrition plans.
- You run in-person sessions or group classes as well as online plans: My PT Hub. Its plans list 1:1 bookings, and Premium adds group bookings, classes and live streams. TrueCoach's pricing page does not list scheduling.
- You want to try before paying anything: My PT Hub has a 30-day trial and then a free plan; TrueCoach has a 14-day trial with no card and a 90-day money-back guarantee for first-time annual subscribers ("restrictions apply").
- You sell programs, run challenges, want a website and email list, and are tired of paying for four other tools: look at Coachful, covered in its own section below.
If you are still comparing more widely, our TrueCoach alternatives roundup and the My PT Hub vs Everfit comparison cover the neighbouring options.
How do My PT Hub and TrueCoach compare side by side?
TrueCoach is a focused programming and accountability app priced by active-client caps; My PT Hub is a broader personal-trainer platform with bookings, a free plan and an unlimited-client tier. We ranked on four things a trainer pays for in time or money: one login for the whole client journey, what happens between sessions, the total cost of the stack, and setup effort.

Two things jump out. My PT Hub has by far the largest public review base of the three, and a strong score on it. TrueCoach's score sits on only 19 reviews, so treat it as a weak signal rather than a verdict; our full TrueCoach review looks at what those reviewers actually complain about.
What does each one cost?
At 5 clients the two are close; from 20 clients up, My PT Hub is cheaper because Premium does not cap clients, while TrueCoach steps from $57.99 to $136.99 a month. Here are the published plans.

TrueCoach's page shows annual-billing rates with a "1-2 months free" badge: Starter at $26.34 a month for up to 5 active clients, Standard at $57.99 for up to 20, and Pro at $136.99 for up to 50. Above that, Custom is "contact for pricing" (the FAQ mentions 250+ clients). Billed-monthly prices were not visible on the page in October 2026; the September 2026 profile recorded them at $29.98, $69.98 and $164.98. There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and the 90-day money-back guarantee applies to first-time annual subscribers. The only add-on listed is a NASM CEU library discount. Our TrueCoach pricing breakdown goes deeper.

My PT Hub is geo-priced. Our capture of its pricing page showed euros (€25, €59, €215); the search index of the same page shows the same numbers in US dollars, which is what we use here. Starter is $25 a month ($22.50 billed annually) for 3 clients, 50 workouts and 50 nutrition plans. Premium is $59 a month ($52 annually) for unlimited clients and plans. Ultimate is $215 a month ($195 annually) with 5 additional trainers and all add-ons included. Premium carried a launch promotion in October 2026: 50% off the first two months on monthly billing, 70% off on annual. The trial runs 30 days with no card, then the account drops to the free plan.

What will you actually pay at your client count?
Sticker prices hide the add-ons. My PT Hub's custom branded app is a one-time 95 fee on Starter and Premium, the white-label app under your own App Store listing is 145 a month on Premium, extra trainers are 10 a month each, Check-Ins AI is 10 a month and Zapier is 18 a month (these add-on amounts were seen in euros). TrueCoach bundles the branded app, wearables and Zapier from Standard. Both run payments through Stripe, so Stripe's processing fees apply on top of either.
| Example roster | Coachful | My PT Hub | TrueCoach (annual rate) |

| Coachful | All plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients | Plans listed in this column | Plans listed in this column |
| 5 clients | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Premium, $59 (Starter covers 3) | Starter, $26.34 |
| 20 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Premium, $59 | Standard, $57.99 |

| 100 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Premium, $59 | Custom, quote |
| Adds website, email, courses | Included in your Coachful membership | Separate tools needed | Separate tools needed |
The last row matters more than it looks. A trainer using either app usually still pays for a website builder, an email tool, a scheduling app (with TrueCoach), and maybe a course or community tool. Add those up for your own stack before you compare the app prices alone.
How do the workout builders compare?
Both build multi-week programs; TrueCoach's edge is its 3,000+ exercise videos, and My PT Hub's edge is an AI workout builder on Premium. TrueCoach is pitched and priced as a programming app first. The video library means you do not have to film every movement yourself, which is real time saved when you start out.
My PT Hub's Starter plan caps you at 50 workouts and 50 nutrition plans, which is fine for 3 clients but tight if you keep a big template library. Premium removes the cap and adds the AI workout builder. Neither vendor's pricing page documents tempo prescriptions, circuits or EMOM formats in detail, so test the block types you rely on during the trial.
Which one handles nutrition and habits better?
My PT Hub is stronger if you write nutrition plans yourself; TrueCoach leans on MyFitnessPal for food tracking. TrueCoach Starter includes MyFitnessPal nutrition and habit tracking, and Standard adds "advanced habit/nutrition tracking". That works well if your clients already log in MyFitnessPal. My PT Hub lets you build nutrition plans inside the app on every paid tier and adds Nutrition AI on Premium, plus habit coaching, metrics and progress photos from Starter.
A scope note that applies to all three tools: coaching is not medical care, and a nutrition plan from a trainer is not a clinical diet. Refer a client to a doctor or registered dietitian before you continue if they report chest pain, fainting or dizziness during exercise, uncontrolled blood pressure, diabetes on medication, pregnancy complications, recent surgery, or signs of disordered eating. None of these apps is a clinical record system.
What about check-ins, messaging and accountability between sessions?
My PT Hub automates more of the check-in rhythm on Premium; TrueCoach keeps it simpler with messaging and a client tracker. TrueCoach's plans list a client tracker, a client dashboard and messaging. My PT Hub lists chat from Starter, then automated check-ins, scheduled messaging and compliance tracking on Premium, with Check-Ins AI as a paid add-on.
For online trainers, this is the part of the week clients actually feel. Compare how each app asks for the check-in, how photos and measurements land in front of you, and how fast you can reply in bulk.
Can you book sessions and take payments in each?
My PT Hub has bookings built in; TrueCoach's pricing page does not list scheduling, so you would likely pair it with a separate booking tool. My PT Hub lists 1:1 bookings and payments from Starter, and group bookings, classes and live streams on Premium. That makes it the more natural fit if you sell in-person sessions or run small-group classes.
Both take payments through Stripe. TrueCoach's FAQ says it adds no extra fees beyond Stripe's own. Check one detail before you sign up: the September 2026 profile recorded TrueCoach's in-app payments as limited to coaches banking in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. If you are elsewhere, plan on a different checkout. Neither vendor documents a coach-side data export on the pages we checked, so ask support how you would leave before you build a large template library. For more on how trainers handle bookings and checkout, see our guides to scheduling software and coaching payment software.
What is the client experience like?
TrueCoach includes a custom-branded app from Standard; My PT Hub charges for branding below Ultimate but is the only one of the three that offers your own App Store listing. On TrueCoach, the branded app sits with the Standard plan along with wearables and the public coach profile, so a 6-to-20 client trainer gets those for $57.99 a month on annual billing. Wearable sync is a real plus for clients who train by heart rate or step count.
On My PT Hub, a custom branded app (iOS and Android) is a one-time add-on on Starter and Premium, and a white-label app published under your own App Store account is a monthly add-on on Premium, included in Ultimate. If owning the App Store listing matters to your brand, My PT Hub is the only one of the three that sells it. Clients get workouts, nutrition, habits, progress photos and chat in either app; My PT Hub Premium also gives them a community space.
Which should you pick for which kind of coach?
Pick on roster size first, then on what else you need the app to do. Here is how we would decide.
- New online strength coach, under 5 clients: TrueCoach Starter, for the video library and simple programming. My PT Hub's free plan is the alternative if your budget is zero.
- Online coach with 6 to 20 clients who wants a branded app and wearables: TrueCoach Standard.
- Coach with 20+ clients, or growing fast: My PT Hub Premium. One flat price for unlimited clients beats TrueCoach's cap jumps.
- Hybrid trainer with in-person sessions and classes: My PT Hub, for bookings and group classes.
- Small studio with several trainers: My PT Hub Ultimate includes 5 extra trainers; check TrueCoach's Custom plan for team terms.
- Coach who sells programs, runs challenges or a group, and wants their website, emails, contracts and client app in one place: read the next section.
Head-to-heads against other fitness apps are in Trainerize vs TrueCoach, PT Distinction vs TrueCoach and My PT Hub vs PT Distinction.
Is there a third option that beats both?
For coaches who run a business around their training, yes: Coachful. It covers what both apps do between sessions and adds the parts they leave to other tools, such as booking, contracts, a website, funnels, email, courses and a community. For a pure programming workflow with stock exercise videos or wearable data, it does not beat TrueCoach, and we say so below.

What Coachful is, who it is for and what it does not do
Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; and coaches replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia.
What it does not do: it is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical records. It has no PayPal and no permanent free plan. The client app runs under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. It has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, Apple Health sync is not publicly available, and it has no stock exercise videos.

The training side: the Fitness & Nutrition pack
The Fitness & Nutrition pack gives you a workout builder with an illustrated exercise library and supports supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals and tempo. Clients log workouts with set history and personal records. Nutrition goes from simple targets up to calories and macros, with meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning. Clients can upload private progress photos and measurements, complete weekly check-ins and send private form-check videos, which you answer with timestamped comments. You can also run challenges. Exercise demo videos are your own: you attach them, which takes longer at the start than TrueCoach's ready library but means every demo is filmed your way.
Between sessions: programs, habits and check-ins
Programs run for as many weeks as you set, with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Each client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions, plus an AI briefing and a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you can see who is slipping before they cancel. This short walkthrough shows how programs are built and delivered.

Booking, payments and contracts in the same place
This is the gap TrueCoach leaves. Coachful's booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync and built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links. Reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions and session credits.

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax, with an invoice per transaction. Since August 2026 Coachful takes a 0% platform fee, so you pay only the processor's fees. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first session and stay on the client record.

The client's view
Clients get one branded home: their next session, programs, sessions, progress and documents, plus any courses, downloads or bundles you sell. Cohort groups are created automatically when someone enrolls in a program, and the community feed, group chat and video events sit in the same app. Our group coaching software page covers how challenge groups work.

Getting clients: website, funnels and email
Neither My PT Hub nor TrueCoach shows a website builder, funnels or email marketing on its pricing page. Coachful includes a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixel and UTM tracking. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits are in the same account. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live data to build programs, draft emails and brief you before sessions; questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership, while confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

Having the Coachful team build it for you
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create and choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", describe what you want (a website, a funnel, a 12-week program, an email sequence, a challenge), attach up to 8 reference links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover filming your videos, logo design or running ads. One recent example: a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. Read more about the white-glove build service.

When Coachful beats both, and when it does not
Coachful beats both when you sell more than workouts: a coaching program with calls, habits and check-ins, a challenge, a group, a course, or an offer you market through your own site and emails. It also wins on total stack cost if you are paying separately for a website, an email tool and a booking app, and on setup effort, since the team will build the first version for you and import your clients, programs and content during onboarding. Its Trustpilot score is 4.5 from 21 reviews, a small base like TrueCoach's.
Pick TrueCoach over Coachful if you want 3,000+ ready-made exercise videos, wearable data from your clients, or MyFitnessPal-based tracking, and you have no need for a website or booking. Pick My PT Hub over Coachful if you want a no-cost starter tier, your app under your own App Store listing, or an established product with thousands of public reviews. Pick either over Coachful if you need PayPal.
How to start
Start a free trial, then request the free white-glove build for whatever you need first, usually your program or your website. Import your current clients during onboarding, connect Stripe, and set your booking hours. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. If you train clients for a living, the fitness coaches page shows how the pieces fit for trainers, and the comparison hub lines Coachful up against other tools.
How do the two vendors present themselves?
Going by their own pricing pages, TrueCoach presents itself as a programming and accountability app, and My PT Hub as an all-round personal trainer platform with bookings, classes and nutrition.

The pricing follows that split: TrueCoach sells a focused tool and charges by active-client cap; My PT Hub sells breadth and charges by feature tier. Neither sells marketing tools, so both assume you bring your own website and email list.
Frequently asked questions
Is My PT Hub or TrueCoach cheaper?
At 5 clients, TrueCoach Starter is cheaper at $26.34 a month on annual billing, since My PT Hub's Starter covers only 3 clients. At 20 clients they are about even. From 21 clients up, My PT Hub Premium at $59 a month with unlimited clients is cheaper than TrueCoach's Pro at $136.99.
Does TrueCoach have a free plan?
No. TrueCoach offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and a 90-day money-back guarantee for first-time annual subscribers, with restrictions. My PT Hub does have a free plan, which your account falls back to after its 30-day trial.
Which has more exercise videos?
TrueCoach lists 3,000+ exercise videos on every plan. My PT Hub's pricing page highlights an AI workout builder on Premium rather than a video count. Coachful uses an illustrated exercise library and you attach your own demo videos.
Can I book sessions in TrueCoach?
TrueCoach's pricing page does not list scheduling or booking, so you would likely need a separate booking tool. My PT Hub includes 1:1 bookings from Starter and group classes on Premium. Coachful includes booking pages with two-way calendar sync and video links.
Which one gives me my own branded app?
TrueCoach includes a custom-branded app from Standard. My PT Hub sells a branded app as a one-time add-on and a white-label app under your own App Store account as a monthly add-on on Premium, included in Ultimate. Coachful shows your branding inside the Coachful app, not as your own App Store listing.
Do either of them sync with wearables?
TrueCoach lists wearables from its Standard plan. My PT Hub's pricing page does not list wearable sync. Coachful has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available.
Can I take payments outside the US with TrueCoach?
The September 2026 profile recorded TrueCoach's in-app payments as limited to coaches in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Confirm with TrueCoach before you commit if you bank elsewhere. My PT Hub and Coachful both use Stripe, and Coachful also supports Razorpay.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
On every Coachful plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build a website, funnel, program, email sequence or other asset inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. You describe what you want and attach links and files; nothing like credentials or testimonials is invented. It does not include video recording, logo design or ad management.
Is any of these tools HIPAA-compliant for clinical work?
Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, and neither vendor's pricing page claims HIPAA compliance. Keep clinical records in a clinical system. Coaching and training are not medical treatment, so refer clients with medical red flags to a doctor.
Can I move from TrueCoach or My PT Hub to Coachful?
Yes. Coachful imports your clients, programs and content for you during onboarding, and the free white-glove build can rebuild your website or offer pages. Neither vendor documents a coach-side export on the pages we checked, so ask their support for your data before you cancel.
