The 7 Best Squarespace Alternatives for Coaches, Compared

The 7 Best Squarespace Alternatives for Coaches, Compared

The best squarespace alternatives for coaches are the ones that replace the whole stack you bolted onto Squarespace, not just the website. Squarespace builds a polished site, but a coaching business also needs booking, signed agreements, payment plans, a place for clients to do the work between sessions, and email follow-up. On Squarespace, booking alone means a separate Acuity Scheduling subscription, email means the separate Email Campaigns add-on, and nothing on the pricing page gives clients a portal for programs, habits or check-ins. So the deciding question is simple: do you want a better website builder, or one platform that runs the client journey from first click to final session?

For most coaches who deliver programs rather than one-off calls, our pick is Coachful, because the website, booking, contracts, payments, programs, check-ins, courses, community and email live under one login, and clients get one branded app. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and read the honest sections on Wix, Kajabi, Systeme.io, WordPress.com, Showit and Carrd below. Each has a real case, and we say where Squarespace itself still wins.

What do coaches need from a website platform that Squarespace leaves out?

Coaches need a site that books, sells and then delivers. Squarespace handles the first part well and the selling part reasonably, but delivery after the sale sits outside it.

Look at the path a typical coaching client takes. They land on your homepage from a podcast or a LinkedIn post. They download a lead magnet or book a free discovery call. You send an agreement, they pay (often in installments), and they start a 12-week program. Between calls they journal, track habits, answer a weekly check-in and maybe join a group thread. At the end you offer a renewal or a higher-touch package.

Here is how that path maps onto Squarespace as listed in October 2026:

  • Website and blog: excellent. Templates, SEO settings and a free custom domain for the first year on annual billing.
  • Discovery calls and paid sessions: need Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace-owned but separately billed product. Starter is $16/month billed annually for one calendar; Standard, at $27/month billed annually, adds text reminders, packages and memberships.
  • Payment plans: deposits and installments start on the Core plan ($29/month billed annually, $39 monthly). Basic has no discounts or payment plans.
  • Courses and memberships: available, with a Squarespace fee on digital content and memberships of 7% on Basic, 5% on Core, 1% on Plus and 0% only on Advanced ($99/month billed annually), on top of card processing.
  • Email follow-up: the Email Campaigns add-on, priced by monthly sends. Its tier prices are rendered on the page and we could not capture them from an official source, so we leave them out rather than guess.
  • Coaching agreements, habits, check-ins, client notes, between-session messaging: not listed. Coaches usually add a contract tool, a client portal, and sometimes a messaging app.

That is why "Squarespace alternative" means something different for a coach than for a photographer or a café. A photographer mostly needs a gallery. A coach needs a business system with a website attached. If your Squarespace site is mainly a brochure that points to Calendly and a Google Form, you are paying for one tool and stitching together four more. Our guide to moving a coaching website off Kajabi, Wix or Squarespace covers the export mechanics in detail.

Different kinds of coaches feel the gap in different places. Life and mindset coaches feel it in between-session work: journaling prompts, habits, weekly reflections. Business and executive coaches feel it in agreements, invoices and session notes they need to find before the next call. Health and fitness coaches feel it in check-ins and progress tracking. Group coaches feel it in cohort spaces and community. A pure website builder solves none of these.

Which Squarespace alternatives are best for coaches at a glance?

Coachful ranks first for coaches who want one login for the whole client journey; Wix is the strongest pure website switch, and Kajabi suits course-led businesses with a larger budget.

Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost for a coaching business, and setup effort, including whether someone will build the new site for you.

How did we choose and rank these tools?

We started from what a coach actually loses or keeps when they cancel Squarespace, then scored each platform on how much of the coaching stack it replaces and what that stack costs per month.

Every price here is as listed on the vendor's own pricing page in October 2026, in US dollars. Squarespace localizes prices by visitor location, so its USD figures come from the official pricing page's US rendering. We did not test these platforms hands-on for this article; we describe what each vendor documents and, where useful, what public reviewers report on Trustpilot. Ratings are a snapshot, not a verdict.

Four questions shaped the order:

  1. Can one login run the client journey? Site, booking, agreement, payment, program and follow-up, without a second subscription for each step.
  2. Does the client have somewhere to go between sessions? Coaching results come from the work done between calls. A platform that ends at checkout leaves that work in email threads and shared docs.
  3. What does the full stack cost? We count the add-ons a coach realistically needs (scheduling, email, a client portal), plus platform transaction fees where they apply.
  4. How hard is the switch? Squarespace exports only part of a site, so migration help and templates matter.

We left out dedicated scheduling-only tools, because swapping Squarespace for Acuity's competitor still leaves you without a website. If booking is your only pain, see our list of Calendly alternatives for coaches instead.

1. Coachful: the full coaching business behind the website

Coachful replaces Squarespace and the tools around it: the website, booking, agreements, payments, programs, check-ins, courses, community and email sit in one platform, with one branded app for your clients.

What changes when the website is part of the coaching platform?

On Squarespace, the website is the destination. In Coachful, it is the front door to everything else. The section-based website builder includes a blog, custom domain, SEO settings, 30 designed homepage templates and an Import website option, so you are not starting from a blank page. The difference is what the buttons connect to: a "Book a call" button opens a real booking page with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection. A "Work with me" button can open an application funnel or a checkout. A lead magnet signup drops the person into an email sequence you built in the same place.

Funnels cover booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout flows, with pixels and UTM tracking, and there is a link-in-bio page that sells. If you liked Squarespace for its looks, the templates are worth a browse; the Hearth layout below is one of the designs aimed at life coaches.

Here is a short walkthrough of the website builder:

How booking, agreements and payments replace Acuity and extra apps

Booking pages sync two ways with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendars, and each session can use built-in video or an auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams link. Reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions and session credits, ask intake questions at booking, and, if you grow into a team, assign multi-coach session types by round robin or least-busy coach.

Coachful's sessions calendar with demo 1:1 sessions and group accountability calls color-coded by type.

Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Each transaction gets an invoice, and you can send manual invoices. Since August 2026, Coachful charges a 0% platform fee on top of Stripe or Razorpay processing. Compare that with Squarespace's 5% fee on digital content and memberships on the Core plan. See the coaching contracts page for how agreements work.

The part Squarespace never had: between-session delivery

This is where coaching results happen and where Squarespace has nothing listed. In Coachful you build multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars, and streaks. More than 40 ready-to-film program templates and 48 course templates with quizzes give you a starting point. Clients see it all in their branded home and app: the next session, the current week, what to do before the call.

On your side, each client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, plus an AI briefing, and every client carries a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. That status is how you spot the client who has gone silent in week five before they quietly fail to renew.

Courses (modules, lessons, drip, completion tracking), downloads, videos, books, events and bundles deliver into the same client home. The community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events cover group work, and enrolling someone in a program can create their cohort group automatically. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits replace Squarespace's Email Campaigns add-on. A social planner lets you draft posts with AI help and schedule them to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and YouTube from one calendar.

Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data. It can build programs, draft emails and content, summarize recorded sessions, brief you before a session, and give optional private feedback on your coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. If you are working toward an ICF credential, ICF hour tracking counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports a client coaching log.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. Leaving Squarespace usually stalls on the rebuild, not the decision. In Coachful you open Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", describe what you want (a website, funnel, sales page, program, email sequence, link in bio and more), and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos, brand guide and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. One recent example: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Another, a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing, got a five-page site in sage and cream where every button led to a free 20-minute consultation. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Where Coachful is not the right fit

Coachful is a coaching platform, not a general website builder, so it is the wrong pick for a non-coaching side site, an e-commerce store or a course marketplace, and it has no third-party plugins. It is not HIPAA-certified, so clinical record-keeping and insurance billing belong in a clinical system. There is no PayPal and no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. There is no Salesforce or HubSpot integration and no multi-stage deal board for large sales teams.

Price: flat monthly plans, with lower plans capping the number of clients and Pro unlimited; monthly plans cancel in one click and there is a free trial. Current plans: (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).

In one paragraph: Coachful is a coaching platform that puts booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant under one subscription and one login, with a branded app for clients. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, solo coaches growing into a small team, and anyone replacing four to six tools. It does not offer HIPAA compliance, PayPal, wearable sync or a general-purpose site builder. To start, open a free trial, then request the free white-glove build so your new site and first program are set up for you. More detail is on the coaching software and coach website builder pages.

2. Wix: the closest like-for-like website switch

Wix is the best choice if you want to stay with a general website builder but get booking without a second subscription. Wix Bookings ("Scheduling and services") is included from the Core plan.

Wix homepage with its website builder headline
Wix's homepage in October 2026.

For a coach, the useful parts of Wix are Bookings for appointments and classes with online payment, the Pricing Plans app for memberships, session packages and subscriptions that can include bookings or programs, and the Online Programs app for step-by-step courses, programs and challenges. There is a Contacts CRM with segments, plus Wix Email Marketing. In practice that means you can sell a "6 sessions plus a 30-day challenge" package from one site, which takes Squarespace plus Acuity plus something else.

Price as listed in October 2026 (billed annually): Light $17/month (cannot accept payments), Core $29/month, Business $39/month, Business Elite $159/month. There is a free plan with Wix branding and no custom domain, and the free tier allows 200 marketing emails a month according to Wix support. Wix does not offer a free trial of Premium plans, only a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first upgrade. Wix Payments processing in the US is listed at 2.9% + $0.30 per online card transaction, with no Wix commission on sales listed on the plans page. Trustpilot showed 3.4 from 29,316 reviews in October 2026.

Limits for coaches: Online Programs is closer to a course or challenge than a per-client coaching plan. There are no coaching agreements with e-signature, no client-level habit tracking or morning and evening check-ins, and no session notes or client status view built for coaching. Wix is also another general builder, so the redesign effort is similar to the one you would face anywhere.

Pick it over Coachful if you mainly run 1:1 sessions and simple packages, your site matters more than anything that happens after booking, and you want a large template and app ecosystem.

3. Kajabi: for course-first coaches with a bigger budget

Kajabi suits coaches whose business is mostly courses, a paid community and email funnels. It replaces Squarespace's site, course area and email add-on in one product, at a much higher price.

Kajabi homepage promoting its platform for knowledge businesses
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Kajabi combines courses, community, a website, funnels and email marketing for selling knowledge products. For a coach with an evergreen course and a membership, that is a real upgrade over Squarespace's digital content setup, which charges a 5% fee on Core and only drops to 0% on Advanced. Kajabi has no such platform fee when you use Kajabi Payments.

What it costs (October 2026): Basic $143/month billed annually ($179 monthly) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community and 0 AI credits; Growth $199/month billed annually ($249) with 50 products and 25,000 contacts; Pro $399/month billed annually ($499) with unlimited products and 100,000 contacts. Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, falling to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. Using a processor other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro. The standard trial is 14 days. Trustpilot showed 3.4 from 2,347 reviews.

Where it falls short for coaching: there is no habit tracking or daily client check-in, and coaching is delivered as products and communities rather than per-client plans. The 2,500-contact cap on Basic counts your whole email list, not just paying clients, so a growing lead magnet pushes you up a tier. If you want the full comparison, read our Kajabi alternatives for life coaches.

Pick it over Coachful if courses and a paid community are most of your revenue, 1:1 coaching is a small add-on, and the budget for a premium course platform is already there.

4. Systeme.io: funnels and email on a tight budget

Systeme.io is the budget pick for coaches whose Squarespace site exists mainly to capture leads and sell a low-ticket course. It bundles funnels, email, courses, a blog and an affiliate program, with 0% transaction fees on every plan.

Systeme.io homepage with its all-in-one marketing headline
Systeme.io's homepage in October 2026.

A coach can run a lead magnet, a nurture sequence and a course sale without paying for Squarespace plus Email Campaigns plus a funnel tool. The free plan is genuinely usable for testing an offer: 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, 1 course with up to 500 students, 1 blog, 1 custom domain, 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign, with no credit card.

Listed pricing, October 2026: Free $0; Startup $17/month (5,000 contacts, 10 funnels, 5 courses); Webinar $47/month (10,000 contacts, 50 funnels, 20 courses); Unlimited $97/month. Only Stripe or PayPal processing applies. Trustpilot showed 4.9 from 8,696 reviews, the highest score in this list.

Gaps: our September 2026 profile lists no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins, describes the community and course features as basic, and notes no branded mobile app. Its page design is funnel-style, so coaches used to Squarespace's editorial look may find the templates plainer. You will still need a booking tool and somewhere to deliver coaching.

Pick it over Coachful if you are pre-revenue, selling a low-ticket course or challenge, and want the lowest possible monthly cost while you test an offer. Our ClickFunnels alternatives for coaches roundup compares more funnel tools.

5. WordPress.com: the blogger's escape hatch

WordPress.com fits coaches who publish a lot and want the flexibility of plugins. Booking, course and membership features come from plugins, which can be installed on any paid plan from Personal upward.

WordPress.com homepage with its site-building headline
WordPress.com's homepage in October 2026.

If content marketing is how clients find you, WordPress is the strongest blogging engine here, and Squarespace's export format is WordPress XML, so your pages and posts move across more easily than to anywhere else. The built-in newsletter supports unlimited subscribers, and paid subscriptions and content gating are available on every plan.

Plans as listed in October 2026: Free $0 (WordPress.com subdomain, ads, 1 GB, no plugins); Personal $4/month billed annually ($9 monthly); Premium $8/month billed annually ($18); Business $25/month billed annually ($40); Commerce $45/month billed annually ($70). WordPress.com takes a fee on paid subscriptions and payments of 10% on Free, 8% on Personal, 4% on Premium, 2% on Business and 0% on Commerce, plus Stripe processing. Payment buttons start on Premium. Refunds are available within 14 days on annual plans and 7 days on monthly plans. Trustpilot showed 3.8 from 4,204 reviews.

Trade-offs: every coaching function you add is another plugin to choose, configure, update and sometimes pay for separately. That is flexibility, but it also means you become the system integrator: a booking plugin, a course plugin, a forms plugin and an email tool that may not share a client record.

Pick it over Coachful if your blog is your main client-acquisition channel, you are comfortable maintaining plugins, and you want full control over a content site above everything else.

6. Showit: maximum design control, no business tools

Showit is for coaches who chose Squarespace for the look and found its templates too rigid. It is a drag-and-drop builder aimed at creatives, with blogs running on Showit-hosted WordPress, and its footer lists coaching among its target industries.

Showit homepage showing its drag-and-drop website builder for creatives
Showit's homepage in October 2026.

For a brand-led coach, Showit's freeform canvas is the appeal. The catch is that Showit has no native booking, payments, online store, membership area or courses. Those come from embedded tools such as HoneyBook or Dubsado, or from WordPress plugins. Showit doesn't process payments at all, so it takes no cut of sales; your fees come from whatever checkout or booking tool you embed.

Cost in October 2026: Showit alone $22/month billed annually ($27 monthly), with no blog; Showit and Basic Starter Blog $27/month billed annually ($34), with pre-installed plugins only; Showit and Advanced Blog $39/month billed annually ($49), which you need to install plugins such as WooCommerce. Higher blog-traffic tiers run $63 and $119/month billed annually. There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card, though you can't connect a domain during it. Trustpilot shows a small sample (16 reviews), too few to read much into.

What this means in practice: moving from Squarespace to Showit swaps one website for a prettier one while keeping, or growing, the stack of tools behind it. You will still pay for scheduling, contracts, email and client delivery separately.

Pick it over Coachful if custom visual design is central to your brand, you already run your business in HoneyBook or Dubsado and are happy keeping it, and you only need the site to look different.

7. Carrd: the cheapest way out

Carrd is a builder for one-page sites, landing pages and link-in-bio pages. For a coach whose Squarespace site is really one long page with a booking button, it can cut the website bill to a few dollars a year.

Carrd homepage advertising simple one-page sites
Carrd's homepage in October 2026.

The free plan gives up to 3 sites on carrd.co subdomains with "Made with Carrd" branding. Pro Lite costs $9/year (about $0.75/month) but has no custom domain or forms. Pro Standard, at $19/year, is the cheapest tier with a custom domain, forms and embeds, which is what a coach needs to embed a booking widget. Pro Plus, at $49/year, adds payment through a form via your own Stripe account. There is a 7-day Pro trial with no card. Trustpilot showed 3.1 from 61 reviews.

The honest limits: Carrd lists no blog, booking, store, member area or course features, no email campaigns (signup forms connect to tools like Mailchimp, Kit or MailerLite), and its docs don't describe recurring billing. It is a front page, nothing more. A coach on Carrd usually still pays for a scheduler, an email tool and a client portal, which can add up to more than the Squarespace plan you left.

Pick it over Coachful if you need a single page live this week, you already have booking and delivery handled elsewhere, and you want the smallest possible website bill.

What does Squarespace still do better than these alternatives?

Squarespace is still one of the most polished general website builders, and for some coaches staying is reasonable. Being fair about that helps you decide.

  • Design consistency. Squarespace templates are hard to make look bad. Builders with freeform canvases, like Wix and Showit, give more control but also more ways to break a layout.
  • Selling physical and mixed products. If you sell journals, card decks or retreat merchandise, Squarespace's store (0% online store transaction fee from Core) is more mature than a coaching platform's checkout.
  • Invoices on every plan. Invoices and pay links come with every plan and no invoice fee.
  • A 14-day trial with no card. Note that trial sites cannot be exported.
  • Acuity's HIPAA option. Acuity Premium ($55/month billed annually) offers a HIPAA BAA, which matters if part of your work is clinical. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified.

Squarespace showed 3.5 on Trustpilot from 6,313 reviews in October 2026. If your coaching is mostly occasional 1:1 calls with no program, and you love your site, keeping Squarespace plus Acuity Starter is a defensible setup. The case for switching grows with every program, check-in and recurring client you add.

How do the features compare side by side?

Only Coachful covers every row natively; the others cover the website well and leave coaching delivery to add-ons, plugins or other subscriptions.

What does each option cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

Website builders cost roughly the same at any client count, but the stack around them does not. The table shows the realistic monthly cost of the coaching setup each option implies, billed annually where offered, before card processing.

Setup5 clients15 clients40 clientsWhat that covers

Two things the flat numbers hide. First, the "extra" column is where the real money goes: a coach on Squarespace or Showit typically adds a contract tool, an email tool and a client portal, each with its own subscription. Second, platform fees scale with revenue. As an illustrative example, a coach selling $3,000 a month of memberships or courses through Squarespace Core would pay $150 a month in Squarespace's 5% digital content fee alone, before card processing. Coachful's 0% platform fee removes that line.

How does a coach move from Squarespace to Coachful, step by step?

Plan the switch around your Squarespace renewal date, export what Squarespace lets you export, and let the white-glove build handle the new site while you set up booking and your first program.

Here is how a solo life coach with a Squarespace Core site, Acuity Standard and a handful of active clients might do it. The steps and timings are an example, not a promise.

  1. Check your renewal date and export early. Squarespace exports site content only as a WordPress-format XML file covering layout pages, one blog with posts, text and image blocks and gallery pages. Store pages, products, audio and video blocks, drafts, style settings and custom CSS are not exported. Export contacts to CSV from the Contacts panel (notes and saved addresses are excluded), mailing lists as a ZIP of CSV files, and customers and form submissions to CSV.
  2. Start a free trial and request the build. Open Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", pick Website, and attach your current Squarespace URL plus up to 7 more reference links and up to 10 files: logo, headshots, brand colors, your About copy. Say exactly what each button should do, for example "every button goes to a free 30-minute discovery call".
  3. Connect payments. Link your own Stripe account (or Razorpay), and turn on Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax if you need them.
  4. Rebuild your booking. Recreate each Acuity appointment type as a booking page: a free discovery call with intake questions, paid single sessions, and session credits for packages. Set buffers and minimum notice, then connect your Google, Apple or Outlook calendar for two-way sync.
  5. Add your agreement. Upload your coaching agreement so every new client e-signs before the first call. If you need a starting point, see our coaching contracts page and have a local attorney review the final wording.
  6. Build your signature program. Start from one of the program templates, set weekly goals, daily tasks and two or three habits, and turn on morning or evening check-ins. Michelle can draft the structure from your description, which you then edit.
  7. Move your clients and content. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, so send over the CSVs from step 1 rather than re-entering them.
  8. Set up email. Import your mailing list and create a welcome sequence for new subscribers, with a branch for people who book a call and people who don't.
  9. Point your domain and test. Connect your custom domain, book a test session as a client, sign the test agreement, pay with a test card, and open the client app to check the first week of the program.
  10. Cancel the old stack. Only after the new site is live and a real client has booked, cancel Acuity, then Squarespace before its renewal, and any form or email tools that are now redundant.

What mistakes should coaches avoid when leaving Squarespace?

The common mistakes are about timing, exports and swapping one website for another without fixing the stack behind it.

  • Replacing the website only. Moving to another general builder fixes nothing if your real pain is Acuity plus a contract tool plus a client spreadsheet. Count every tool you pay for before choosing.
  • Waiting until renewal week. Squarespace's export leaves out store pages, products, video blocks and styling. Give yourself time to copy what doesn't export, especially sales page copy and testimonials you have permission to reuse.
  • Losing contact notes. The Contacts CSV excludes notes. If you kept client context there, copy it out manually first.
  • Forgetting Acuity is separate. Cancelling Squarespace does not cancel Acuity. Move active bookings and future appointments before you switch off either one.
  • Ignoring percentage fees. A low monthly plan with a 5% to 10% fee on memberships or payments (Squarespace Core, WordPress.com Free or Personal) can cost more than a higher flat plan once you sell regularly.
  • Breaking old links. Your podcast show notes and social bios point to your old URLs. Keep the same domain and recreate key page paths, such as /work-with-me and /book, where you can.
  • Launching without a test client. Book, sign, pay and open the program yourself before announcing the new site.

Which Squarespace alternative should a coach choose?

Choose Coachful if you deliver programs and want one platform for the website and the coaching; choose a pure website builder only if the site itself is the problem.

Coachful is the strongest Squarespace alternative for coaches because it replaces the site and the four or five tools around it, gives clients a branded place to do the work between sessions, removes platform fees on what you sell, and comes with a free white-glove build so the switch does not eat a month of evenings. Wix is the best like-for-like builder with booking included. Kajabi earns its price only for course-and-community businesses. Systeme.io is the cheapest way to run funnels and email. WordPress.com suits heavy bloggers who like plugins. Showit is for design-led brands that keep their business tools elsewhere. Carrd is a one-page stopgap. Frequently asked questions

What is the best Squarespace alternative for coaches?

For coaches who run programs, Coachful is our pick because the website, booking, agreements, payments, programs, check-ins and email share one login and one client app. If you only want a different website builder with booking, Wix is the closest switch. We make Coachful, so compare the sections above against your own needs.

Is Squarespace good for coaches?

Squarespace is good for the website part of a coaching business. Booking needs Acuity Scheduling, email needs the Email Campaigns add-on, and no client portal for programs, habits or check-ins is listed. It works well for coaches whose site is mainly a brochure and booking link.

How much does Squarespace cost for a coach in 2026?

As listed in October 2026, Squarespace Core costs $29/month billed annually or $39 monthly, and it is the first plan with payment plans and 0% online store fees. Acuity Standard adds $27/month billed annually for packages and text reminders. Courses and memberships carry a 5% Squarespace fee on Core.

Can I move my Squarespace website to another platform?

Partly. Squarespace exports a WordPress-format XML file with layout pages, one blog and basic blocks, but not store pages, products, video blocks, drafts or styling. Contacts, mailing lists, customers and form submissions export as CSV files. Plan to rebuild the design on the new platform.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a build service included on every plan: you describe what you want, such as a website, funnel, program or email sequence, and attach up to 8 links and 10 files. The Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours, without inventing credentials, testimonials or prices. It does not include video recording, logo design or ad management.

Does Coachful replace Acuity Scheduling?

Yes, for coaching sessions. Coachful's booking pages include availability rules, buffers, minimum notice, time-zone detection, two-way Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync, intake questions, paid sessions and session credits, with email, SMS and WhatsApp reminders once messaging is enabled. Acuity's HIPAA BAA on its Premium plan has no Coachful equivalent.

Is Wix or Squarespace better for coaches?

Wix includes Bookings from its Core plan ($29/month billed annually), so it avoids Squarespace's separate Acuity subscription, and its Pricing Plans and Online Programs apps add packages and course-style programs. Squarespace templates are more consistent out of the box. Neither offers coaching agreements or per-client habits and check-ins.

Can I sell coaching packages and payment plans without Squarespace?

Yes. Coachful supports one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons and session credits through your own Stripe or Razorpay account, with a 0% platform fee. Wix sells packages through its Pricing Plans app, and Kajabi sells products and subscriptions. On Squarespace, payment plans start on Core.

Is Coachful HIPAA compliant for health coaches?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. Coaching is not treatment: health coaches should refer clients with medical concerns to a qualified clinician and keep any clinical records in a clinical system. See the health coaches page for what Coachful does cover.

Which Squarespace alternative is cheapest for a new coach?

Carrd Pro Standard at $19/year and the free plans from Wix, Systeme.io and WordPress.com cost the least for a website alone. Once you add booking, email and somewhere to deliver coaching, the total usually rises. New coaches can compare that against an all-in-one plan on the Coachful for new coaches page.
