Beacons Review 2026: Is It Enough for a Coaching Business?
This Beacons review has a short answer: Beacons is a capable, low-cost creator toolkit, and it suits a coach whose main job is turning an Instagram or TikTok audience into sales of digital products. It is not built to run coaching clients. The pricing page shows no client records, programs, habits, check-ins or signed agreements, and public reviewers report serious support and payout problems.
We make Coachful, a platform that competes for some of the same coaches, so read this with that in mind. Nothing here comes from running a practice on Beacons. It draws on what Beacons publishes on its pricing page, read in October 2026, and on what reviewers wrote publicly on Trustpilot. Where Beacons is the better pick, we say so.
Beacons review verdict: who should use it and who should skip it?
Use Beacons if you sell downloads and small courses to a social audience and want to start at no monthly cost. Skip it if you sell packages, programs or ongoing 1:1 work, because you would still need other tools to deliver what clients bought.
| Verdict box | Our read |
|---|---|
| Best for | Creators and early-stage coaches selling digital products and brand deals from a social following |
| Skip it if | You deliver multi-week programs, need client records and agreements, or work with a team |
| Starting price | Free forever, with a 9% seller fee; 0% seller fee starts at $30/month or $25/month billed annually |
| Strongest feature | Instagram DM automation, listed as unlimited even on the Free plan |
| Biggest risk | Support and payout complaints in recent public reviews |
| Public rating | Trustpilot 2.0 out of 5 from 43 reviews, seen on 25 October 2026; the page header read 1.9 by 30 October |
| Our recommendation for most coaches | A coaching platform such as Coachful, with Beacons only as a low-cost starting point for a product-led audience |
What is Beacons?
Beacons describes itself as an AI-powered business platform for creators. In practice it combines a link in bio, small websites, a digital store, email marketing, Instagram DM automation, a media kit and affiliate links, with an AI teammate called Beam on top.
The audience is clear from the feature list. Brand deal tools get their own section, with rate cards, a pricing calculator for sponsorships and an AI outreach email writer. Affiliate links draw on a network Beacons puts at 12,000 brand partners. You can embed music and tour dates. This is a product for people whose income comes from content, sponsorships and small purchases.
That focus is a strength when you match it. A coach with a large following and a workbook to sell needs little else. It becomes a limit when the same coach sells, for example, a $3,000 six-month engagement, because the work after the sale is where most coaching tools earn their keep, and it is the part Beacons' pricing page does not address.

What does Beacons do for each part of a coaching business?
Beacons is strongest on marketing and selling, thin on delivery and client experience, and built around brand deals rather than clients on admin. The notes below follow the job a coach needs done, using the features the pricing page lists.
Marketing: the best part of the product
Marketing is where Beacons earns its reputation. The link in bio has unlimited links and sub-pages, scheduled link updates, redirects, and email and phone capture. Websites are small by design: one website with one page on Free, up to 15 websites of 10 pages each on Creator Max. If you want a long site with a blog and many service pages, that page cap is the thing to check first.
The Instagram tools are generous. Keyword-triggered DMs from Reels, posts and Stories are listed as unlimited on every plan. Advanced DM flows open a two-way chat, send follow-ups, ask for a follow and collect emails; on the lower plans these carry Beacons branding. That goes further than Coachful's own Instagram automations, which do not offer a follow-gate or email capture inside the DM.
Email is real but metered at the low end. Free includes 50 sends a month and Creator 500, and because a single broadcast to 200 people uses 200 sends, those limits go quickly. Creator Plus and Creator Max lift the cap. The list of email features is solid: welcome emails, store purchase sequences, audience groups, geotargeting, sending from your own domain and contact import and export.
Selling: capable, with one fee to plan around
The store handles digital products, discount codes, order bumps, limited-quantity sales, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and more than 20 currencies. Payment runs through Stripe and PayPal, with Klarna and Affirm available on Creator Plus and above. Coaches who need PayPal should note this, since not every coaching platform takes it. Coachful, for one, does not.
The catch is the 9% seller fee on Free and Creator, which we work through in the pricing section. Courses are also tiered: Free and Creator get one course with no video hosting, and unlimited courses with hosting, along with memberships, start at Creator Plus.
For calls, the page compares Beacons with appointment tools and lists adding multiple Google calendars to avoid conflicts, so you should expect a way to sell a call. It does not describe session types, buffers, minimum notice, reminders by text or a booking tied to a client record. If bookings matter, confirm these before you commit.
Delivery: a course shelf, not a coaching program
Delivery on Beacons means access to a course or membership. The pricing page shows nothing for weekly goals, daily tasks, habit tracking, morning or evening check-ins, cohort groups or group calls. For a coach, delivery is usually the product, so this gap decides the question for most readers. You would add other tools for sessions, accountability and group work, then send clients between them.
Client experience: built for buyers, not clients
Someone who buys from a Beacons store is a customer with a receipt and a contact record. The page does not show a client home, a client app, shared notes, progress views, or a place where the session history and the homework sit together. If your clients pay monthly and expect to feel looked after between calls, they will not get that from this tool.
Admin: useful for brand deals, thin for practices
The invoices feature sits in the media kit section, aimed at sponsorship work: generate, send, track and follow up. Terms can be added to a product page, which is useful, but that is not the same as a coaching agreement with an e-signature stored against a client. The audience manager holds contacts, not coaching notes. The comparison table shows no team seats or per-coach availability. Beacons' pages do not document a full data export beyond contacts.
How does Beacons compare with Coachful, job by job?
Beacons wins on low-cost social selling and sponsorship tools, while Coachful covers the delivery, client records and agreements that coaching needs. The table lines up both using each company's published features.
| Job | Coachful | Beacons |
|---|---|---|
| Link in bio | Link-in-bio page that sells | Core product, with unlimited links and sub-pages |
| Website | Section-based builder with blog, custom domain and 30 homepage templates | From 1 website of 1 page to 15 websites of 10 pages, by plan |
| Instagram DMs | Comment, DM, story reply, mention and new-follower triggers; no follow-gate or in-DM email capture | Keyword DMs on every plan; advanced flows ask for a follow and collect emails |
| Lists, broadcasts and sequences with branching and A/B splits | Metered at the low end, unlimited from Creator Plus; store purchase sequences | |
| Booking | Booking pages, buffers, two-way calendar sync, reminders, session credits | Multiple Google calendars listed; session rules not described on the pricing page |
| Payments | Your own Stripe or Razorpay; 0% platform fee; no PayPal | Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, Affirm; 9% or 0% seller fee by plan |
| Programs and habits | Weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, streaks | Not shown |
| Client record | Goals, notes, intake answers, payments, sessions, AI briefing, status | Contacts in an audience manager |
| Agreements | E-signature before the first call, stored on the record | Custom terms on a product page |
| Brand deals and media kit | Not listed | Auto-updating media kit, rate cards, 12,000 brand partners |
| Team | Coach seats on Studio and Agency plans | Not shown |

How much does Beacons cost in October 2026?
Beacons has four plans, from Free to $100 a month, and the real decision is the 9% seller fee on the lower two. These figures are as listed in October 2026, and annual billing gives two months free. Stripe, PayPal, Klarna and Affirm processing fees are not shown on the page and come on top.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed annually | Seller fee | Main limits and additions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients | 0% platform fee; processor fees only | Delivery, booking, agreements, website, email and community in one membership; higher plans lift client caps and add seats |
| Beacons Free | $0 | $0 | 9% | 30 daily AI credits, 50 email sends a month, 1 website with 1 page |
| Beacons Creator | $10 | $8.33/month ($100/year) | 9% | 300 daily AI credits, 500 email sends, 5 websites of 3 pages, free custom domain |
| Beacons Creator Plus | $30 | $25/month ($300/year) | 0% | Unlimited AI credits and email, 10 websites of 5 pages, courses with video hosting, memberships, Buy Now Pay Later |
| Beacons Creator Max | $100 | $83.33/month ($1,000/year) | 0% | 15 websites of 10 pages, Google Workspace, onboarding help, support target under 6 hours, NFC card, IRL events |
For a fuller breakdown of each tier, see our Beacons pricing guide.
When does Creator Plus pay for itself?
Creator Plus pays for itself at very modest sales. These are worked examples from the listed rates, before processor fees:
- From Free, billed monthly: $30 divided by 9% is about $333 in monthly sales.
- From Creator, billed monthly: the $20 difference divided by 9% is about $222 in monthly sales.
- One coaching package: as an example, 9% on a single $1,500 package is $135, which equals four and a half months of Creator Plus.
So the Free plan is the most expensive option as soon as you sell consistently. Any coach selling packages through the store should treat $30 a month as the real starting price, and budget separately for whatever handles delivery.
What you pay for beyond the plan
The plan price is only part of the stack. A coach on Creator Plus still needs something for program delivery, client notes, habits and check-ins, signed agreements and probably a fuller booking tool. Those categories usually mean separate subscriptions and separate logins for your clients. Add them up before comparing the $30 figure with an all-in-one platform. Our coaching software overview lays out what each category covers.
What do public reviewers praise and complain about?
Reviewers like how easy Beacons is to start with, and their complaints center on support, payouts, branding and leaving the platform. Trustpilot showed 2.0 out of 5 from 43 reviews on 25 October 2026, and the page's title showed 1.9 five days later. The top mentions it lists include cancellation, customer service, subscription and payment.
Keep the sample in proportion. Forty-three reviews is small for a product at this scale, and unhappy customers are more likely to write one. Our own Trustpilot sample is small too, at 4.5 from 21 reviews, so neither number should settle the decision alone. What matters is whether complaints repeat and whether they touch something your business depends on.
What reviewers praise
Praise on the recent pages is mostly indirect, coming from people who liked Beacons before something went wrong. Several say they once loved it or had referred others, and one headline begins by crediting easy setup. One reviewer summed up the pattern:
Works great until you have any issues whatsoever.
Taken at face value, the day-to-day product does its job for many users. The negative reviews are rarely about the link in bio or the store builder themselves.
What reviewers complain about
- Support access and speed. The most common theme. Reviewers describe generic or automated replies, difficulty reaching a person, and being told how to cancel. One reports almost two weeks without a reply about a broken email sequence. The pricing page sets response targets from under 48 hours on Free to under 6 hours on Creator Max, so the gap between target and experience is worth noting.
- Payouts. One reviewer reports affiliate payouts of about $728 marked pending for over a year, and another describes chasing late creator payments. The pricing page promises instant cash-outs to Stripe or PayPal, and these individual reports, which we cannot verify, sit badly against that.
- Branding on paid plans. A $30-a-month subscriber in October 2026 reports Beacons branding on the media kit footer and a new sharing menu with Beacons promotion on links, neither of which could be removed.
- Cancelling and leaving. Reviewers mention several surveys before cancelling, trouble downgrading, and difficulty getting a domain or web address released. Sort out domain ownership before you buy one through the platform.
- Features and fees. One reviewer says some plan benefits applied only for the first year. Another says Beacons takes half of earnings, which does not match the 9% or 0% on the pricing page, so treat it as unverified, though it does suggest some sellers are surprised by what they keep.
Reviewers also use older or different plan names, such as Creator Pro and a $20 monthly price, so some of these comments may refer to earlier terms.
We are literally PAYING to remove Beacons branding, yet Beacons keeps finding new ways to promote itself on our pages!
Coaches should weigh these more heavily than a $9 ebook seller would. A delayed payout on a small product is annoying. A delayed payout on a $3,000 package, with a client already expecting sessions, is a business problem. Before moving real revenue, run a small test sale, confirm how payout timing works, and send support one question to see how long the answer takes.
What are the pros and cons of Beacons?
The main pros are low cost and strong social selling. The main cons are the fee on low plans, the missing coaching layer and the support reports.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Free forever plan with unlimited digital products | 9% seller fee on Free and Creator, before processing |
| Unlimited Instagram DM automation on every plan | Advanced DM flows carry Beacons branding on lower plans |
| Follow prompts and email capture inside advanced DMs | Email capped at 50 or 500 sends below Creator Plus |
| PayPal, Klarna and Affirm options, with 20+ currencies | No client records, programs, habits or check-ins shown |
| Auto-updating media kit and brand-deal tools | No e-signature agreements or team seats shown |
| 0% seller fee and unlimited email at $30 a month | Courses with video hosting need Creator Plus or above |
| Small multi-site allowance for separate offers | Site page limits, from 1 to 10 pages per website |
| Contact import and export listed | Trustpilot around 2 out of 5, with repeated support and payout complaints |
Who is Beacons best for?
Beacons fits coaches whose business looks more like a creator's than a practice's. If most of your income comes from digital products and sponsorships rather than ongoing client relationships, it can be a sensible and cheap home base.
- Audience-first coaches. You have a following on Instagram or TikTok, and comment-to-DM funnels drive your sales.
- Product sellers. You sell guides, templates and short courses, and nobody expects 1:1 attention after purchase.
- Coaches with sponsorship income. Fitness, money and lifestyle creators who pitch brands get real use from the media kit and rate cards.
- People testing an idea. With no monthly fee, you can see whether anyone buys before paying for anything larger.
It fits poorly if you sell packages or programs, keep notes on clients, need signed agreements, or run group cohorts. It also fits poorly if your clients need one clear place to go each day. In those cases a tool built for delivery will save more time than the cheaper plan saves money. New coaches weighing this can start from our guide for new coaches.
Why do we recommend Coachful for most coaches instead?
Most coaches sell an outcome delivered over time, and Coachful is built around that delivery. Coachful is a coaching platform where one membership covers booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client.
It is for coaches who deliver programs and not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six tools. You can compare it with other platforms on our comparison hub, and read our other reviews.
Here is a walkthrough of programs in Coachful:
It covers the work after the sale
Multi-week programs run on weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Your client sees this in one branded home and app, and you see it on a client record alongside notes, intake answers, payments, sessions and a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. Those are the parts Beacons' pricing page does not show.

It handles booking and agreements properly
Booking pages carry availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync. Sessions use built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links, and reminders go by email, plus SMS and WhatsApp once messaging is enabled. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and stay on the client record.

It still does the marketing
You do not give up the social funnel to get delivery. Coachful's Instagram automations trigger on a DM, a comment with chosen keywords, a story reply, a mention or a new follower where Meta supports it, then send a DM, a public reply, buttons or an AI-written reply. A person who comments a keyword gets the booking link or lead magnet, and lands in the same lead and client records you use for coaching.
The website builder has 30 designed homepage templates, a blog and SEO settings, and funnels cover booking, applications, lead magnets and checkout. The social planner schedules posts to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and YouTube. Michelle, the AI assistant, works from your live practice data to draft content and brief you before sessions.

What Coachful does not do
Coachful is not the right tool for everyone, and a few gaps matter for Beacons users specifically. It has no PayPal, no permanent free plan, and no follow-gate or email capture inside DMs, and media kits and brand-deal tools are not among its features. It does not publish to TikTok or Pinterest. It is not HIPAA-certified, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. The client app carries your branding inside the Coachful app and not under your own App Store account. If those points decide it for you, Beacons or another tool below may be the better call.
How to start
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you" and describe what you need: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, link in bio or lead quiz. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented, so there are no fake credentials or testimonials and any gaps are left for you. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the white-glove service.
In one recent anonymized build, a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Coachful plans are flat and monthly (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients), and there is a free trial so you can see the setup before committing.

What are the best Beacons alternatives for coaches?
Coachful is our top pick for coaches who deliver programs, and Stan Store, Systeme.io, Podia, WithMe and Kajabi each fit a narrower case. We ranked them on one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort.
| Tool | Starting price | Seller fee | Best for | Trustpilot, October 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | 0% platform fee | Coaches delivering programs, sessions and courses in one place | 4.5 from 21 reviews |
| Stan Store | $29/month ($25 annual) | 0% | A simple paid storefront in your bio | 4.7 from 2,205 reviews |
| Systeme.io | $0, then $17/month | 0% | Funnels and email on a small budget | 4.9 from 8,696 reviews |
| Podia | $49/month ($42 annual) | 5% on Mover, 0% above | A straightforward storefront for courses and downloads | 4.1 from 153 reviews |
| WithMe | $29/month listed ($25 annual) | 0% | Creators who want an app-based hub | 3.8 from 2 reviews |
| Kajabi | $179/month ($143 annual) | Processor rates; extra fee with other providers | Larger course and funnel businesses | 3.4 from 2,347 reviews |
Stan Store
Stan Store is the closest like-for-like swap: a link-in-bio storefront for digital products, courses, memberships and paid calls. It charges no seller fee, which removes the main Beacons pricing catch, though email, upsells, discount codes and affiliates sit on the $99 Creator Pro plan. It has no contracts, invoices or client records. We cover the head-to-head in Stan Store vs Beacons and the full picture in our Stan Store review.

Pick it over Coachful if you only sell products and paid calls from social and want the simplest possible store.
Systeme.io
Systeme.io is the strongest value option for funnel-led marketing. Its Free plan includes 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels and 1 course with no seller fee, compared with 9% on Beacons Free. Our last detailed profile of the product found no native 1:1 scheduling with client records, habits or check-ins. See Beacons vs Systeme.io and our Systeme.io review.

Pick it over Coachful if your priority is funnels and email at the lowest cost, and coaching delivery happens elsewhere.
Podia
Podia sells courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and community from a simple storefront. The Mover plan charges 5%, and Shaker and Earthquaker charge none. Its email subscriber allowances are small at 100, 500 and 1,000, and it has no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. A 14-day trial needs no card.

Pick it over Coachful if you want a plain course storefront with a little community and no program delivery.
WithMe
WithMe is a creator hub with courses, memberships, communities, email and Instagram comment-to-DM, with 0% commission and Stripe fees only. Coaching Call products book through Google Calendar or Zoom, and clients use a WithMe-branded app. The listed monthly price is disputed between its pricing page at $29 and its help center at $49 for new trials, so confirm it first. More in our WithMe review.

Pick it over Coachful if you want creator-style products plus message-based coaching in one simple app, with no multi-coach needs.
Kajabi
Kajabi is the larger course, community, website, funnel and email platform for knowledge businesses. It costs far more than Beacons, starting at $179 a month or $143 billed annually, with limits of 5 products and 2,500 contacts on Basic. It has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, since coaching there runs through products and communities.

Pick it over Coachful if your business is mainly high-volume courses and marketing funnels and you do not need per-client delivery.
How would you move from Beacons to a coaching platform?
Move your contacts and offers first, then switch your bio link last so nothing breaks for your audience. A sensible order looks like this:
- List what is live. Note each product, price, automation, active membership and domain in use.
- Export contacts. The pricing page lists audience exports. Save customer and sales records for your accounts too.
- Settle your domain. Two public reviews describe trouble getting a domain or address released, so ask for the transfer steps in writing before cancelling.
- Rebuild offers. In Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove team can build the site or funnel.
- Move memberships carefully. Recurring billing usually needs each subscriber's cooperation, so tell members early and give them a date.
- Change your bio link. Update it once the new pages work, then recreate your keyword DMs.
- Keep your old account for a cycle. Wait for pending payouts to clear before you cancel.
So is Beacons worth it for coaches?
Beacons is worth it for a narrow group: coaches who sell digital products to a social following and also want sponsorship tools. For them the Free plan is a cheap test, and Creator Plus at $30 a month is good value once sales pass a few hundred dollars. The trust question stays open, so keep a small test sale and a support check in your plan.
For coaches who sell programs, packages or ongoing 1:1 work, Beacons handles the sale and stops there. You would still need delivery, records and agreements somewhere else. That is why we recommend Coachful for most coaches, whether life coaches, fitness coaches or anyone running a group program. If that is you, start with the free white-glove build and see your program in place before you decide.
Frequently asked questions
Is Beacons legit?
Beacons is a real, operating platform with published plans and a large feature set. Its Trustpilot rating was 2.0 from 43 reviews on 25 October 2026, with recurring complaints about support and payouts. Those are individual reports and a small sample, so run a small test sale before relying on it for income.
Does Beacons take a percentage of sales?
Yes, on the two lower plans. Free and Creator carry a 9% seller fee, while Creator Plus and Creator Max carry 0%. Payment processing fees are charged separately and are not shown on the pricing page.
Is Beacons really free?
The Free plan is described as free forever, with no monthly charge, and it includes a link in bio, media kit, unlimited digital products and Instagram auto-DMs. You pay through the 9% seller fee when you sell, and email is limited to 50 sends a month.
Can coaches run client programs on Beacons?
Not in the way most coaches mean it. Beacons lists courses and memberships, but its pricing page shows no weekly goals, habits, check-ins, client records or signed agreements. Coaches who need those usually pair it with other tools or use a coaching platform.
Can you book coaching calls through Beacons?
The pricing page points to appointments and lists connecting multiple Google calendars, so selling a call looks possible. It does not describe buffers, minimum notice, SMS reminders or bookings stored against a client record. Check those details directly if bookings are central to your business.
Is Beacons better than Stan Store?
It depends on what you want to pay for. Beacons has a free entry point and a cheaper way to reach 0% fees, while Stan Store charges no seller fee on either plan and showed 4.7 from 2,205 Trustpilot reviews in October 2026. Neither offers client programs or check-ins.
Can I export my data from Beacons?
The pricing page lists audience imports and exports, so contacts can move. A fuller export process was not documented on the pages we read. Ask support what else you can take with you, including any course files, before you commit a large catalogue.
Is Coachful a good alternative to Beacons?
Coachful is a good alternative if you deliver programs and sessions and want one login for the whole client journey. It is a weaker fit if you need PayPal, a permanent free plan, a media kit or brand-deal tools. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a done-for-you build included on every plan. You describe what you need from the Create page, attach references, and the team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It covers things like websites, funnels and programs, but not video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.
