Carrd vs Wix for Coaches: An Honest 2026 Comparison

Carrd vs Wix comes down to how much your website has to do. Carrd builds fast, cheap, one-page sites: a landing page or link-in-bio for as little as $19 a year with a custom domain. Wix is a full website builder with multi-page sites, a blog, Wix Bookings and online payments, from $29 a month (billed yearly) once you need to take bookings and money. If you only need a page that points people to a call, Carrd is enough. If you want your site to book and sell, Wix does more of the job.
Neither one runs your coaching after the sale, though. Neither has client records, habit tracking, check-ins or a client app. So this guide compares Carrd and Wix head to head for coaches, then looks at a third option, Coachful, and says honestly when it beats both and when it does not. We make Coachful, so we have kept the Carrd and Wix sections to what each company documents and what public reviewers report. We have not tested either tool hands-on for this article.

Carrd vs Wix: what is the short answer for coaches?
Pick Carrd if you need one clean page live this week for almost no money. Pick Wix if you need a multi-page site with a blog, booking and payments in one place. Pick a coaching platform if you also want to deliver programs, track clients and stop paying for four other tools.
Here is the short answer by use case:
- You just need a page that sends people to a discovery call. Carrd. Pro Standard costs $19 a year as listed in October 2026 and includes a custom domain, forms and embeds. You would embed a separate scheduler for the booking.
- You want a link-in-bio page for Instagram. Carrd again, or any tool with a link-in-bio page. Carrd's whole design is built around single pages.
- You want a real website with several pages and a blog. Wix. Carrd does not list a blog feature at all.
- You want clients to book and pay for sessions on your site. Wix Core or higher. The Wix Light plan cannot accept payments, and Carrd needs a third-party scheduler plus its top tier for Stripe payment forms.
- You sell programs and want clients to log habits, check in and see their progress between sessions. Neither. That is the gap a coaching platform fills, which we cover in the third-option section below.
How do Carrd and Wix compare side by side?
Carrd is a single-page builder with very low yearly pricing; Wix is a general website builder with apps for bookings, programs, email and memberships. The table below puts them next to Coachful.
Ranked on what matters most to a working coach: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort (including Coachful's free white-glove build).
| Tool | Best for | Starting price | Booking | Payments | Client delivery |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who sell programs and want site, booking, payments and delivery in one login | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Built in, two-way calendar sync, reminders | Your own Stripe or Razorpay; 0% platform fee | Programs, habits, check-ins, courses, community, branded client app |
| Carrd | One-page landing or link-in-bio sites on a tiny budget | Free; Pro from $9/year (Pro Standard $19/year for a custom domain) | Embed a third-party scheduler | Stripe payment forms on Pro Plus ($49/year); Stripe, PayPal and Gumroad embeds from Pro Standard | None listed |
| Wix | Multi-page sites with a blog, bookings and a store | Free; Light $17/month billed yearly; Core $29/month billed yearly to take payments | Wix Bookings from Core | Wix Payments from Core; Light cannot take payments | Online Programs app; no habit tracking or structured check-ins listed |
Public review scores give a rough sense of how customers feel, nothing more. On Trustpilot in October 2026, Carrd showed 3.1 from 61 reviews and Wix showed 3.4 from 29,316 reviews. Coachful showed 4.5 from 21 reviews, a much smaller sample.

What does Carrd vs Wix cost for a coach?
Carrd is far cheaper: its paid plans run $9 to $49 a year, while Wix's paid plans run $17 to $159 a month when billed yearly. The real question is what each price buys you, because the cheapest Wix plan that takes payments is Core, and the cheapest Carrd plan that takes payments through a form is Pro Plus.
Carrd bills yearly only. Its pricing page says "Go Pro from just $19 / year (yup, per year)", and there is no monthly option. Wix's plans page shows yearly prices paid up front and localizes them by visitor location, so the figures below come from Wix's own blog, which listed $17 to $159 per month billed annually in October 2026. Wix says additional subscription periods are available; month-to-month billing costs more, but we did not find those figures on an official Wix page.
| Plan | Price as listed in October 2026 | What it adds for a coach | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; for 15 clients Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; unlimited Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Website, funnels, booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, email and the Michelle AI assistant | Lower plans cap the number of clients |
| Carrd Free | $0 | Up to 3 sites | carrd.co address and Carrd branding; no custom domain |
| Carrd Pro Lite | $9/year | No branding, premium templates, larger uploads | No custom domain, no forms or embeds |
| Carrd Pro Standard | $19/year | Custom domain with SSL, email signup forms, embeds, analytics; 10 sites | No payment-enabled forms |
| Carrd Pro Plus | $49/year | Stripe payment forms, custom forms to Zapier or Airtable, password protection, site downloads; 25 sites | Recurring billing not described in Carrd's docs |
| Wix Free | $0 | Hosting, editor, templates | Wix branding, no custom domain, 200 marketing emails a month |
| Wix Light | $17/month billed yearly ($204/year) | Custom domain, no Wix branding, 2 GB storage | Cannot accept payments |
| Wix Core | $29/month billed yearly ($348/year) | Payments, Wix Bookings, basic eCommerce, 50 GB storage | Basic marketing suite |
| Wix Business | $39/month billed yearly ($468/year) | Standard eCommerce and marketing suite, 100 GB storage | Email send volume still capped by plan |
| Wix Business Elite | $159/month billed yearly ($1,908/year) | Advanced eCommerce and marketing, unlimited storage | Built for larger businesses |
Annual totals for Wix are the monthly figure times 12. Carrd also sells each tier in larger site-count versions (Pro Standard for 25 sites is $39 a year, for example), which matters only if you build sites for other people.

Trials, refunds and processing fees
Carrd offers a 7-day free Pro trial with no payment or credit card required, and the trial includes custom domains and advanced forms. Wix does not offer a free trial of Premium plans, but it gives a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first upgrade.
Neither company lists a commission on your sales. Carrd's payment forms run through your own Stripe account, so Stripe's processing fees apply. Wix Payments in the US charges 2.9% + $0.30 per online card transaction according to Wix support, with a $15 chargeback fee; PayPal through Wix Payments starts at 3.49% + $0.49.

The hidden cost: everything else in the stack
The site builder price is rarely what a coach actually pays. With Carrd, booking means a separate scheduler subscription, email marketing means a separate email tool, and taking payment through a form means the $49 Pro Plus tier. With Wix Core, booking and payments are included, but email sends are capped per plan, and you would still need somewhere to run contracts, track client progress and deliver between-session work. Which builds a better coaching website, Carrd or Wix?
Wix builds a more complete coaching website; Carrd builds a better single page. If your site needs an About page, a services page, testimonials, a blog and a contact page, Carrd is the wrong tool because every Carrd site is one page.
Carrd's strength is speed and focus. You pick a template, edit sections on one scrolling page, and publish. Pro Lite removes branding and adds premium templates, slideshows and uploads up to 64 MB for video. Pro Standard adds custom domains, meta tags and analytics (Carrd's own cookie-free analytics or Google Analytics, Plausible and Matomo). For a coach who wants one page with a photo, a short story, three bullets about the offer and a "book a call" button, that is everything.
Wix is a drag-and-drop editor for full websites. You get multiple pages, a blog, a store, member areas and an app market for bookings, programs and pricing plans. Storage scales from 2 GB on Light to unlimited on Business Elite. The trade-off is time: more flexibility means more design decisions. We cover that in more depth in Squarespace vs Wix and Wix vs WordPress.
Search visibility follows from structure. A blog is the main way a coaching site earns search traffic over time, and Carrd does not list one. Wix has a built-in blog, though Wix says blog posts cannot be exported if you leave.
Can you take client bookings with Carrd or Wix?
Wix can, through Wix Bookings on Core and higher plans. Carrd cannot on its own; you embed a third-party scheduler on the page.
Wix Bookings handles appointments and classes with online payment. The Pricing Plans app sells memberships, session packages and subscriptions that can include bookings. Members can use the Spaces by Wix app to book, join groups and chat. For a coach selling single sessions or a five-session pack, this covers the basics without leaving Wix.
On Carrd, you would add a scheduler's embed widget on Pro Standard or higher. That works, but it means two accounts, two bills, and client details living in the scheduler rather than anywhere connected to your site. Carrd's form data goes to whatever email or automation service you connect; Carrd does not document a built-in contact database.
How do payments and selling packages work on each?
Wix takes payments natively through Wix Payments from the Core plan, including cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna and Affirm. Carrd takes payment only through Stripe-enabled forms on Pro Plus, using your own Stripe API keys, or through Stripe, PayPal or Gumroad embeds from Pro Standard.
For coaches, the details matter:
- Recurring billing. Wix's Pricing Plans app sells subscriptions and packages. Carrd's docs do not describe recurring billing on payment forms, so monthly coaching retainers would need an embed from another tool.
- Price options. Wix sells through its store, Bookings and Pricing Plans apps. Carrd's payment forms use preconfigured Stripe prices or variable amounts on custom forms.
- Light plan trap. Wix Light removes branding and connects a domain, but it cannot accept payments. A coach who wants paid bookings needs Core at $29 a month billed yearly.
If payments are the main question for you, our guide to coaching payment software walks through what a coach actually needs: packages, plans, invoices and contracts in one place.
What about email marketing and lead capture?
Wix has its own email marketing with automations and a Contacts CRM, capped by monthly sends; Carrd has signup forms that pass leads to an outside email tool. Neither runs a coaching sales pipeline.
Carrd Pro Standard connects signup forms to Mailchimp, Kit, MailerLite, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot and others. Pro Plus adds custom forms to Zapier, Make, n8n and Airtable. That is enough to collect emails for a lead magnet, but campaigns, sequences and the list itself live in the other tool.
Wix Email Marketing sends campaigns and automated emails, both of which count toward a monthly quota. Free sites get 200 emails a month; paid plans get more, and the exact number depends on the plan. Contacts can be segmented and exported to CSV, up to 50,000 at a time.
Can Carrd or Wix deliver coaching programs and courses?
Wix can host step-by-step programs and courses through its Online Programs app; Carrd cannot, because it has no member area or course features. Neither tracks habits or structured client check-ins.
Wix's Online Programs app runs courses, programs and challenges, and paid programs need a payment-enabled plan. It is a reasonable way to sell a self-paced program. What it does not list is the coaching layer: daily habits, morning and evening check-ins, per-client goals, notes and a view of which clients are slipping. Those would need forms, program steps or third-party apps.
With Carrd, delivery happens entirely elsewhere. Many coaches pair a Carrd page with a course host, a community tool and a messaging app. That works, but each piece is a separate login for you and for your client.
What does the client experience look like on each?
On Carrd, the client sees one page and then leaves for whatever tools you use next. On Wix, the client can book, pay, join a member area and use the Spaces by Wix app. On a coaching platform, the client gets one branded home for sessions, programs, habits and messages.
Think through the first month of a new client:
- Discovery. They find your page. Carrd and Wix both handle this well.
- Booking a call. Wix Bookings keeps it on your site. Carrd hands them to an embedded scheduler.
- Signing and paying. Wix takes payment; contracts with e-signature are not part of either tool's listed features, so you would add another service.
- Getting started. Intake questions, a welcome message, the first week's tasks. Wix can send automated emails and enroll members in a program; Carrd has nothing here.
- Between sessions. Daily habits, check-ins, progress you can both see. Neither tool lists these.
Each handoff to another tool is a place where a client gets a new password, a new email from an unfamiliar sender, or a reason to drift. That matters more for program coaches than for coaches who sell single sessions.

Who owns your data, and how hard is it to leave?
Carrd is easier to leave: Pro Plus lets you download any site as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images. Wix says sites cannot be transferred to other platforms and blog posts cannot be exported, though contacts, CMS collections and store products export to CSV.

Which should you pick for which kind of coach?
Match the tool to how you sell. Single-page and side-project coaches do well on Carrd; coaches who sell sessions from a full site do well on Wix; coaches who sell programs and want clients supported between sessions do better on a coaching platform.
| Your situation | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful: you sell multi-week programs, packages or group coaching | Coachful | Site, booking, payments, contracts, programs, habits, check-ins and a branded client app in one login |
| Testing a new niche with one offer | Carrd | One page live in an afternoon for $19 a year with a domain |
| Link-in-bio for social media | Carrd | Purpose-built single pages, very low cost |
| Established coach selling single sessions from a full site with a blog | Wix | Multi-page site, blog and Wix Bookings on Core |
| Selling a self-paced course alongside sessions | Wix | Online Programs and Pricing Plans apps on a payment-enabled plan |
| Coach with clients who need daily accountability | Neither Carrd nor Wix | No habit tracking or structured check-ins listed |
The third option: when does Coachful beat both Carrd and Wix?
Coachful beats both when your website is only the front door and the real work is delivering coaching. It does not beat Carrd on price for a single page, and it does not beat Wix as a general website builder for non-coaching sites.

Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login; the client gets one app with the coach's branding inside the Coachful app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia.
The website side
Coachful includes a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings, 30 designed homepage templates and an Import website option. It also builds booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking, plus a link-in-bio page that sells, which covers the main reason coaches pick Carrd. See the coach website builder page for more.

Here is a short walkthrough of the website builder:

Booking and payments
Booking pages include availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Sessions can use built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go out by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. More on the scheduling software page.

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee (since August 2026), so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record, which is a step neither Carrd nor Wix lists. See coaching contracts.

Between sessions
This is where Coachful differs most. Multi-week programs carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Each client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. Courses, a community feed, group chat and cohort groups are included in your Coachful membership.

Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before each session. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. Learn more on the AI coaching assistant page.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, a coach can choose "We'll build it for you" and describe what they want: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, link in bio and more. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos and brand guides. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Recent builds include a five-page site in sage and cream for a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing, and one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button for a leadership coach whose Squarespace renewal was days away. Read more about the free white-glove service.

When Coachful is the wrong choice
Be honest with yourself about what you need:
- You only need one page and have no clients yet. Carrd's yearly price is hard to beat for a single landing page. Move to a platform when you have programs to deliver.
- You are building a site for something other than coaching. Coachful is not a general website builder for non-coaching sites and has no third-party plugins. Wix fits better.
- You need PayPal. Coachful has no PayPal. Wix Payments includes PayPal.
- You need HIPAA compliance or clinical records. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA. Clinical records belong in a clinical system.
- You want a permanent free plan. Coachful has no permanent free plan. Carrd and Wix both have free tiers.
- You need wearable sync. There is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync.
How to start
Start a free trial, then request a white-glove build of your website or first program from the Create page. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Monthly plans cancel in one click (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). If you are newer to coaching, the page for new coaches explains what to set up first; established coaches can start at Coachful for established coaches, and life coaches and health coaches have their own pages too.

Frequently asked questions about Carrd vs Wix
Is Carrd or Wix better for a coaching website?
Wix is better for a full coaching website with several pages, a blog and booking. Carrd is better for a single landing page or link-in-bio page on a small budget. If you also deliver programs, a coaching platform such as Coachful covers the site and the delivery.
Is Carrd really $19 a year?
Yes. Carrd Pro Standard was listed at $19 a year in October 2026, and it is the cheapest tier with a custom domain, forms and embeds. Pro Lite is $9 a year without a custom domain, and Pro Plus is $49 a year with payment forms.
Can I take payments on Carrd?
Yes, through Stripe payment-enabled forms on Pro Plus using your own Stripe account, or through Stripe, PayPal or Gumroad embeds from Pro Standard. Carrd's docs do not describe recurring billing, so subscriptions usually need another tool.
Which Wix plan do coaches need to take bookings?
Core, at $29 a month billed yearly as listed in October 2026. That is the cheapest plan with Wix Bookings and online payments. The Light plan cannot accept payments.
Does Wix have a free trial?
No. Wix says it does not offer a free trial for Premium plans, but it has a free site plan and a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first Premium upgrade. Carrd offers a 7-day Pro trial with no card required.
Can I move my site from Wix to another platform?
Not directly. Wix says sites cannot be transferred and blog posts cannot be exported, so you rebuild the site elsewhere and copy content over. Contacts export to CSV.
Does Carrd have a blog?
No blog feature is listed. Carrd builds one-page sites, so coaches who want to publish articles for search traffic usually choose a builder with a blog.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
Every Coachful plan includes a free white-glove build. You describe what you want built, such as a website, funnel, program or email sequence, attach references, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design or ad management.
Can Coachful replace both Carrd and Wix?
For a coaching business, yes: Coachful includes a website builder, link-in-bio page, funnels, booking and payments, plus program delivery. It is not a general website builder for non-coaching sites, and it has no PayPal or permanent free plan.
Do Carrd or Wix track client habits and check-ins?
Neither lists habit tracking or structured client check-ins. On Wix you could approximate it with forms or program steps; on Carrd you would need separate tools. Coachful includes daily habits, morning and evening check-ins and streaks.
