LearnWorlds vs Podia (2026): Which Fits Coaches Better?

LearnWorlds vs Podia comes down to what you sell. LearnWorlds is the deeper course platform: interactive video, quizzes, certificates, learning paths and SCORM, built for coaches whose main product is structured training. Podia is the simpler storefront: one tidy place to sell a course, a download, a webinar, a coaching session and a community without much setup. Neither is built to run the ongoing work between coaching sessions, such as client habits, check-ins and per-client progress, which is where a third option comes in.
We make Coachful, a coaching platform, so we have a stake in this comparison. We have kept the LearnWorlds and Podia sections factual and based on what each vendor documents on its pricing and product pages as listed in October 2026, plus what public reviewers report. We have not run hands-on tests of either tool. Where LearnWorlds or Podia is the better pick, we say so.
LearnWorlds vs Podia: what is the short answer?
Pick LearnWorlds if courses are the business and you want the strongest learning tools. Pick Podia if you want to sell a handful of simple products with the least fuss. If most of your income comes from coaching clients over weeks or months, neither tool covers that work well, and a coaching platform will usually save you a stack of extra subscriptions.
Here is the short answer by use case:
- You sell a flagship online course with quizzes and certificates: LearnWorlds. Its Pro Trainer plan adds certificates, learning paths, interactive video and unlimited courses, and it removes the per-enrollment fee charged on Starter.
- You sell a mix of small products (a mini course, a workbook, a webinar replay, a few paid calls): Podia. Every plan includes courses, downloads, coaching, webinars, community, a website and email, with unlimited customers.
- You train corporate teams or need SCORM files: LearnWorlds. Podia's plans do not list SCORM, and LearnWorlds' Learning Center plan adds unlimited SCORM, LTI 1.3 and full white-label.
- You coach 1:1 or in small groups, with weekly goals, habits and check-ins: neither fits cleanly. This is the job Coachful was built for, with booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses and a branded client app under one login.
- You are starting on a small budget: it depends on volume. LearnWorlds Starter is cheaper per month but charges a fee per paid enrollment; Podia Mover costs more per month and takes 5% of sales. The worked example in the pricing section shows where each one wins.
For the full background on each vendor, see our LearnWorlds review and our Podia review.
How do LearnWorlds and Podia compare side by side?
LearnWorlds wins on course depth and admin seats; Podia wins on simplicity and an all-products-on-every-plan model. The table below adds Coachful as the coaching-first benchmark.
How we rank: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions (habits, check-ins, programs), total stack cost, and setup effort, including whether someone will build it for you.
| Tool | Built for | Courses | 1:1 sessions | Between-session tracking | Mobile app | Entry price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions | Modules, lessons, drip, completion tracking | Booking pages, two-way calendar sync, built-in video or auto Zoom, Meet and Teams links | Habits, daily tasks, morning and evening check-ins, goals, streaks | Client app with the coach's branding inside the Coachful app | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients |
| LearnWorlds | Course creators and training businesses | Deep: interactive video, quizzes, certificates, learning paths, SCORM | Live 1:1 and group sessions listed on every plan | Not built for habits or check-ins | Branded app as a separately priced add-on | $29/mo ($24/mo billed annually) plus $5 per paid enrollment |
| Podia | Creators selling a mix of simple digital products | Straightforward courses and downloads | Coaching sessions sold as a product | No habits, check-ins or per-client plans | None listed in our September 2026 profile | $49/mo ($42/mo billed annually) plus 5% transaction fee |
Public reviews point the same way. As listed in October 2026, LearnWorlds holds 4.8 on Trustpilot from 423 reviews, and Podia holds 4.1 from 153 reviews. Coachful holds 4.5 from 21 reviews, a much smaller sample.
How much do LearnWorlds and Podia cost?
LearnWorlds runs from $29 to $299 a month on self-serve plans, and Podia runs from $49 to $179. Both charge a platform fee on their entry plan (a flat fee per enrollment on LearnWorlds, a percentage on Podia) and drop it on the next tier up. These are the prices each vendor listed in October 2026.

| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Platform fee on sales | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Flat monthly plans; Pro is unlimited (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients) | 0% platform fee; only Stripe or Razorpay processing | Lower plans cap the number of clients; team plans add coach seats |
| LearnWorlds Starter | $29 | $24 | $5 per paid enrollment | 1 admin, 1,000 active learners a month, 300 AI credits |
| LearnWorlds Pro Trainer | $99 | $79 | None | 5 admins, 2,000 active learners a month, 15 page funnels, 2,000 mass emails a month |
| LearnWorlds Learning Center | $299 | $249 | None | 25 admins, 2,000 active learners a month, 5,000 mass emails a month |
| LearnWorlds Corporate | Custom | Custom | None | SLA, DPA, success manager, 24/7 phone support |
| Podia Mover | $49 | $42 | 5% | 50 products, 500 videos, 100 email subscribers included |
| Podia Shaker | $99 | $84 | 0% | 150 products, 1,000 videos, 500 email subscribers, 1 assistant |
| Podia Earthquaker | $179 | $150 | 0% | Unlimited products, videos and assistants; 1,000 email subscribers |
On top of either platform you pay card processing. Both vendors quote the standard Stripe and PayPal rate of 2.9% plus 30 cents per transaction.
The fine print that changes the real cost
- LearnWorlds active-learner caps. Self-serve plans count active learners per month: 1,000 on Starter and 2,000 on Pro Trainer and Learning Center. A coach with a small paying audience will rarely touch this, but a large free course could.
- LearnWorlds add-ons. The branded mobile app, extra emails and extra AI credits are sold separately, and the pricing page does not show their prices.
- LearnWorlds VAT and currency. Prices exclude VAT, which is added for EU customers without a VAT number, and the page shows a dollar sign without naming the currency.
- Podia email allowances. Mover includes 100 email subscribers, Shaker 500 and Earthquaker 1,000. Podia says it never upgrades you automatically, but extra subscribers cost more and the price is not shown on the pricing page. For a coach who builds a list through a lead magnet, this cap matters more than the product limits.
- Podia PayPal. PayPal checkout only arrives on Shaker; Mover is Stripe only.
- Trials. LearnWorlds offers a 30-day free trial and says no credit card is required, but the school is scheduled for deletion if you do not upgrade. Podia offers 14 days of full access with no card and no plan choice required.
Worked example: what a small coaching business would pay
These numbers are an illustrative example, not a quote. Picture a coach who sells 10 enrollments a month into a 300-dollar program, so 3,000 dollars of monthly sales, billed monthly. Processing fees are left out because they are similar on all three.
| Option | Plan fee | Platform fee on 10 sales | Monthly total before processing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | None (0% platform fee) | Plan fee only |
| LearnWorlds Starter | $29 | $50 (10 × $5) | $79 |
| LearnWorlds Pro Trainer | $99 | $0 | $99 |
| Podia Mover | $49 | $150 (5% of $3,000) | $199 |
| Podia Shaker | $99 | $0 | $99 |
Two lessons fall out of this. First, Podia's 5% fee on Mover gets expensive fast once you sell higher-priced coaching: on these numbers, Shaker is cheaper than Mover by 100 dollars a month. Second, LearnWorlds Starter stays cheap at this volume, but the per-enrollment fee scales with every sale, so at 15 or more paid enrollments a month Pro Trainer works out cheaper. The bigger cost question for coaches is what else you have to buy alongside either platform: a scheduler, a contract tool, an invoicing tool and somewhere to track client progress. Our LearnWorlds pricing guide and Podia pricing guide break down each plan in more detail.
Which is better for building and selling courses?
LearnWorlds is clearly the stronger course builder. Podia's courses are simpler and quicker to set up, which suits short programs but not complex training.
LearnWorlds documents an AI course builder and AI quizzes from Starter upward, then adds the tools serious course businesses look for on Pro Trainer: unlimited courses, learning paths, certificates, bundles and interactive video. Learning Center adds unlimited SCORM packages, LTI 1.3 for connecting to other learning systems, scheduled reports and automations. If your offer is a certification program or a training library sold to companies, LearnWorlds was designed for that.
Podia keeps courses deliberately plain. You upload videos and files, organise them into a course and sell it alongside your other products. The limits are counted in products and videos (50 products and 500 videos on Mover, unlimited on Earthquaker) rather than learners. For a coach selling a six-lesson starter course and a workbook, that is plenty, and the setup is faster than LearnWorlds.

Coachful sits between them for course depth. It has a course builder with modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking, plus 48 course templates with quizzes. It does not market SCORM or certificates, and it is not a course marketplace. Where it differs is what happens around the course: lessons are delivered into the client's branded home alongside their program, habits and sessions, rather than in a separate school. If you sell courses as a standalone product to thousands of strangers, LearnWorlds is the better tool. If courses support your coaching, our page on the online course platform for coaches explains how that works.

Which handles coaching sessions and 1:1 clients better?
Neither LearnWorlds nor Podia is built to run 1:1 coaching relationships. Both let you sell and hold sessions, but neither gives you a client record with goals, habits, check-ins and notes in one place.
LearnWorlds lists live 1:1 and group sessions on every plan, including Starter. Its own coach notes, and our review, point out that it is not built for 1:1 client management, habits or check-ins. You can run a call; you cannot easily see that a client has skipped three days of their plan.
Podia lets you sell coaching as a product, so a client can pay for a session or a package from your storefront. Our September 2026 profile of Podia noted no native video calls, so the session itself happens in another tool. There are no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans.
This is the part of a coaching business that both tools leave to other software. In practice that means adding a scheduler with calendar sync, a contract and e-signature tool, an invoicing tool and a spreadsheet or notes app for progress. Each extra tool is another login for you and often another for your client.
Coachful handles this natively. Booking pages have availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Sessions use built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links, with email reminders plus SMS and WhatsApp reminders once messaging is enabled. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. More on the booking side on our scheduling software page.

How do websites, funnels and email compare?
Both tools include a website, but LearnWorlds goes further on funnels and email volume, and Podia's small email subscriber allowance is its most common pinch point for coaches building a list.
LearnWorlds lets you host courses on your own domain from Starter. Pro Trainer adds 15 page funnels and 2,000 mass emails a month; Learning Center lifts that to unlimited funnels and 5,000 mass emails. It also lists basic affiliates on Pro Trainer and advanced affiliates on Learning Center, and more than 50 integrations from Pro Trainer upward.
Podia includes a website and email marketing on every plan. The website is built around your products, which keeps it simple. Email is the catch: 100 subscribers on Mover, 500 on Shaker and 1,000 on Earthquaker are included. Affiliate marketing, upsells and Zapier arrive on Shaker. If you plan to grow through a free guide or a newsletter, check how quickly you would pass those numbers.
Coachful includes a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits are included in your Coachful membership. It is not a general website builder for non-coaching sites and has no third-party plugins. See the coach website builder page for the templates.

How do community, memberships and live events compare?
Podia includes community spaces on every plan, and LearnWorlds focuses more on memberships and course access than on a social feed. For group coaching, the deciding factor is whether the community connects to the program.
Podia's plans count community spaces: 25 on Mover, 100 on Shaker and unlimited on Earthquaker, along with webinars. That makes it a reasonable home for a paid membership with a discussion space. If community is your main product, our Circle vs Podia comparison covers a community-first alternative.
LearnWorlds lists subscriptions, memberships and bundles from Pro Trainer, plus live group sessions. Up to 10 client groups arrive on Learning Center, which suits companies buying training for separate teams.
Coachful includes a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events, and it creates cohort groups automatically when a client enrolls in a program. Group calls and webinars are included as well. Details are on our group coaching software page.

How do payments and fees compare?
Both connect to your own Stripe account, and both charge a platform fee on their entry plan only. LearnWorlds supports PayPal on every plan; Podia adds PayPal on Shaker and above.
- LearnWorlds: your own Stripe and PayPal accounts. Starter charges 5 dollars per paid enrollment. Pro Trainer adds subscriptions, memberships and payment plans, and removes the enrollment fee.
- Podia: Stripe on every plan, PayPal from Shaker. Mover charges a 5% transaction fee; Shaker and Earthquaker charge 0%.
Coachful connects to your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with a 0% platform fee since August 2026, so you only pay processing. It supports one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax, with an invoice per transaction plus manual invoices. One honest limit: Coachful does not support PayPal. If many of your clients insist on paying with PayPal, LearnWorlds or Podia Shaker handles that and Coachful does not. Read more on our coaching payment software page.

What does the client experience look like on each?
On LearnWorlds a client experiences a polished online school; on Podia they experience a clean storefront and a course player. On both, coaching itself (the call, the plan, the progress) often lives somewhere else.
A LearnWorlds client logs into your school, works through lessons, takes quizzes and earns certificates. LearnWorlds offers a branded mobile app, but as a separately priced add-on whose price is not shown on the pricing page. The experience is strong for learning and thinner for being coached.
A Podia client buys from your site, then accesses products and community in Podia. Our September 2026 profile found no mobile app, so clients use the browser. If they also book a call, sign a contract or log progress, those steps typically happen in other tools with their own logins.
In Coachful, a client gets one branded home and app: next session, program week, daily tasks, habits, check-ins, courses, documents and the community. The coach sees the same activity on the client record, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. The client app runs under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. Here is how the program side looks from the coach's view:

Should you pick LearnWorlds or Podia for your kind of coaching?
Choose by your main product. If it is a course, lean LearnWorlds. If it is a mix of small products, lean Podia. If it is coaching delivered over time, look at a coaching platform first.
| Tool | Pick it if you are... | Skip it if you are... |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful | A coach running 1:1 or group programs who wants booking, payments, contracts, habits, check-ins, courses, community, website and email under one login | Selling courses to a large anonymous audience, needing SCORM or certificates, or needing PayPal or HIPAA-covered records |
| LearnWorlds | A coach or trainer whose main income is a structured course, a certification program or corporate training | Mostly coaching 1:1 and needing client tracking, or wanting a low entry price with no per-enrollment fee |
| Podia | A coach selling a few simple products (mini course, workbook, webinar, paid calls) who wants the easiest setup | Building an email list beyond a few hundred subscribers on a lower plan, or needing a mobile app and per-client plans |
A few more specific calls:
- Business and executive coaches selling to companies: LearnWorlds if the company wants an LMS with SCORM and reports. If the company wants coaching with progress tracking for each leader, see Coachful for executive coaches.
- Health and fitness coaches: neither LearnWorlds nor Podia includes workout or nutrition tools. Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack adds a workout builder, logging, nutrition targets, meal plans and weekly check-ins. Coaching is not medical treatment; clients with medical conditions, eating disorders or injuries should be referred to a doctor or registered professional, and clinical records belong in a clinical system.
- Life and mindset coaches starting out: Podia is easy, but its 5% Mover fee and 100-subscriber email cap bite quickly. See Coachful for life coaches for a coaching-first setup.
- Course-heavy coaches comparing more options: our LearnWorlds vs Kajabi, Podia vs Teachable and Kajabi vs Podia comparisons cover the neighbouring choices.
Is there a third option that beats both for coaches?
Yes, for coaches whose income comes from clients rather than course sales. Coachful replaces the course platform plus the scheduler, contract tool, invoicing tool and progress tracker that LearnWorlds or Podia would need around them.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia.
Where it beats both LearnWorlds and Podia:
- Between-session delivery. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Neither LearnWorlds nor Podia offers this.
- The client record. Goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions on one record, with an AI briefing per client before each session.
- Booking and contracts built in. Booking pages, two-way calendar sync, reminders, paid sessions and session credits, and e-signed coaching agreements.
- No platform fee on any plan. 0% Coachful fee, so there is no entry-plan penalty like Podia Mover's 5% or LearnWorlds Starter's per-enrollment charge.
- Michelle, the built-in AI assistant. It works from your live practice data to build programs, draft emails, summarise recorded sessions and brief you before calls. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. You can also configure an AI Coach that selected clients chat with between sessions. See the AI coaching assistant page.
- ICF credential tracking. Coaching hours and distinct clients counted against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds, with an exportable ICF client coaching log.
- Your data leaves with you. A full client data export as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses) and a course export.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build things for you from Create > We'll build it for you. Describe a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, form, lead quiz or automation, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, and the team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent example: a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. Another: a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Read more about the free white-glove service.

How to start. Start a free trial, then request a white-glove build for your website, first program or funnel. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. If you need unlimited clients, the Pro plan covers that: Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients.

When is Coachful the wrong choice?
Coachful is the wrong pick if your business is mainly selling courses at scale, or if you depend on PayPal, clinical records or specific device integrations. In those cases LearnWorlds or Podia may serve you better.
- You run a course business, not a coaching business. If thousands of learners buy a course and never speak to you, LearnWorlds' SCORM, certificates, learning paths and interactive video are a better fit. Coachful is not a course marketplace.
- You need PayPal. Coachful does not support PayPal. LearnWorlds does on every plan, Podia from Shaker.
- You need HIPAA coverage. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA. It is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
- You want your own App Store listing. Coachful's client app carries your branding inside the Coachful app, not under your own developer account.
- You want wearable sync. There is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, Apple Health sync is not publicly available, and there are no stock exercise videos; coaches attach their own demo videos.
- You run a large sales team. There is no multi-stage deal board for large teams and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration.
- You want a permanent free plan. Coachful has a free trial, not a free plan.

Frequently asked questions
Is LearnWorlds or Podia better for coaches?
LearnWorlds is better if your main product is a structured course with quizzes, certificates or SCORM. Podia is better if you sell a few simple products and want the fastest setup. Neither includes habits, check-ins or per-client plans, so coaches who work with clients over weeks often add other tools or choose a coaching platform instead.
Which is cheaper, LearnWorlds or Podia?
LearnWorlds Starter is cheaper per month at 29 dollars, against 49 dollars for Podia Mover, as listed in October 2026. But Starter charges 5 dollars per paid enrollment and Mover takes 5% of sales, so the cheaper option depends on how many sales you make and at what price. At the second tier, both cost 99 dollars a month billed monthly with no platform fee.
Does Podia charge transaction fees?
Only on the Mover plan, which takes a 5% transaction fee. Shaker and Earthquaker charge 0%. Stripe or PayPal processing applies on every plan.
Does LearnWorlds charge transaction fees?
The Starter plan charges 5 dollars per paid enrollment. Pro Trainer and higher plans charge no LearnWorlds fee, though Stripe or PayPal gateway fees still apply.
Can I run 1:1 coaching sessions on LearnWorlds or Podia?
LearnWorlds lists live 1:1 and group sessions on every plan. Podia lets you sell coaching sessions as a product, though our September 2026 profile found no native video calls. Neither gives you a full client record with goals, habits and check-ins.
Do LearnWorlds and Podia have mobile apps?
LearnWorlds offers a branded mobile app as a separately priced add-on, with no price shown on its pricing page. Our September 2026 profile of Podia found no mobile app. Coachful gives clients a branded app experience inside the Coachful app.
Do LearnWorlds and Podia offer free trials?
LearnWorlds offers a 30-day free trial and says no card is required; the school is scheduled for deletion if you do not upgrade. Podia offers a 14-day trial with full access and no card required. Neither has a permanent free plan.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
On every plan, the Coachful team builds things for you inside your own account: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, form or automation. You describe what you want and attach references, and the build usually arrives within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management.
Can I move from LearnWorlds or Podia to Coachful?
Yes. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove service can rebuild your website or sales pages. Podia lets you export contacts to CSV, which helps with the move; LearnWorlds' pricing pages do not document its export options, so check with its support first.
Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not suited to clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Health and wellness coaches should keep clinical records in a dedicated clinical system and refer clients to medical professionals when needed.
