Circle vs Satori in 2026: Which Fits Your Coaching Business?

Circle vs Satori in 2026: Which Fits Your Coaching Business?

Circle vs Satori comes down to one question: is your coaching business a community or a practice? Circle is a community platform with courses, live events and paid memberships, and it has no 1:1 scheduling or client back office. Satori is a coaching practice tool for booking sessions, packages, invoices and contracts, and it has no courses or community. If you run group programs and memberships, Circle fits better; if you sell 1:1 packages, Satori fits better. If you need both, neither covers the whole job alone.

We make Coachful, a coaching platform that covers 1:1 sessions, programs, community and courses under one login, so we have a stake in this comparison. We have kept the Circle and Satori sections factual and based on what each vendor documents on its own pages (checked in October 2026, with some Satori figures from September 2026), plus what public reviewers report. We did not run hands-on tests of either tool. Where Coachful is the better pick, we say so, and where it is not, we say that too.

What is the short answer by use case?

Pick Circle for a paid community or membership at scale; pick Satori for a lean 1:1 practice on a small budget. Pick a single coaching platform like Coachful when you sell both 1:1 work and group programs and want clients to do daily work between sessions.

  • You sell a membership or community to hundreds of people: Circle. It is built around spaces, member directories, live streams, gamification and course content, with Circle-branded mobile apps on every plan.
  • You sell 1:1 packages to a handful of clients: Satori. It handles discovery-call booking, packages, a client portal, invoices and contracts, and it does not take a cut of client payments.
  • You are a student coach working toward a credential: Satori's free Scholar plan, which it describes as for people studying for a coaching certification (you apply through a form).
  • You sell 1:1 coaching, group programs and a community together: Coachful. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community, a website with funnels, and email.
  • You are considering Circle plus Satori side by side: read the cost section below first. Two subscriptions, two logins for your clients and two sets of payment settings add up faster than most coaches expect.

How do Circle and Satori compare side by side?

They barely overlap: Circle covers the group side of coaching and Satori covers the 1:1 side. The table shows where each tool stops, with Coachful in the first row as the option that covers both.

Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort (including Coachful's free white-glove build).

How much do Circle and Satori cost?

Circle starts at $89 a month billed annually and adds a 0.5% to 2% fee on payments; Satori starts at $33 a month, or free on the Scholar plan, with no fee on client payments. The bigger difference is what you need to buy alongside each one.

Circle pricing page with Professional, Business and Scale plans
Circle's pricing page in October 2026.

Circle's pricing page, as listed in October 2026, shows prices on annual billing only: Professional at $89 a month, Business at $199 a month and Scale at $419 a month, with Circle Plus custom-priced. Older listings showed monthly billing at $129 for Professional and $219 for Business. Every self-serve plan comes with a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Add-ons are priced separately: Email Hub at $99 a month for 10,000 contacts, AI credits at $10 per 1,000, extra admins at $10 a month each, live attendees at $20 a month per 100, and live hours at $50 a month per 10 hours. Branded email notifications cost $40 a month on Professional, and custom profile fields cost $49 a month on Professional.

Satori pricing page with its plan tiers
Satori's pricing page in October 2026.

Satori's dollar amounts load through scripts and did not display when its pricing page was checked in October 2026, so the figures below are as listed in September 2026. Essentials is $33 a month (up to 10 active paying clients, verified in October 2026), Pro is $49 a month (50 active clients, 10 programs, 120 bookings) and Leader is $124 a month (150 active clients, 50 programs, unlimited bookings). Annual billing gives two months free, which works out to about $27.50, $40.83 and $103.33 a month. Only active clients count toward the tier. The trial is 15 days with unrestricted access and no card during the trial, and Satori offers a refund if you ask within 30 days of signing up.

What does the fee difference mean in money? Take an example: a coach sells $5,000 a month through Circle Professional. Circle's 2% fee is $100 that month, on top of the $89 subscription and Stripe's processing, so the platform costs about $189 a month before any add-ons. On Business, the fee drops to 1% ($50) but the subscription rises to $199. On Satori, the same $5,000 carries no Satori fee, only PayPal or Stripe processing. These are illustrative numbers; run your own revenue through the same sums.

Now the stack question. A coach who sells both 1:1 packages and a group community would need both tools. Using the figures above, Satori Pro at $49 plus Circle Professional at $89 is $138 a month before Circle's 2% fee and before any email tool, website builder or funnel software. Your clients would also log in to two places. For deeper numbers on each, see our breakdowns of Circle pricing and Satori pricing.

Which handles 1:1 coaching sessions better?

Satori, because Circle has no 1:1 scheduling at all. Circle members can attend live events and streams, but there is no booking page, availability rules or per-client session history in Circle.

Satori is built around the 1:1 relationship. It handles discovery-session booking (listed on Essentials), packages and programs, a client portal, invoices and contracts. Its September 2026 listing says it has no native Zoom integration, so you add your own video links. If you run Circle, you would need a separate scheduling tool and a separate place to keep client notes, which is the gap our Circle alternatives with 1:1 coaching guide covers in detail.

Coachful handles 1:1 sessions with booking pages that use availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection. It syncs two ways with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendars, and it uses built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. It sends email reminders, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. Sessions can be paid or drawn from session credits, and you can add intake questions at booking. On multi-coach session types, Coachful assigns bookings round-robin or to the least-busy coach. More detail is on our scheduling software page.

Which is better for community and group coaching?

Circle, by a wide margin, because Satori has no community or course features. Community is Circle's whole product: spaces, a member directory, live events and streams, gamification, analytics and paid memberships.

Circle's higher plans add workflows (Business includes 20 automations, 20 scheduled and 20 bulk actions a month), activity scores, custom profile fields and branded email notifications. Scale adds AI agents, unlimited workflows and webhooks. Limits apply to live events: extra live attendees and live hours are paid add-ons. Satori offers group coaching on Pro (as listed in September 2026), but that is group sessions inside a practice tool, not a community feed.

Coachful's community includes a feed, group chat, direct messages and video events. Cohort groups are created automatically when someone enrolls in a program, and you can run group calls and webinars. It is not built to replace Circle for a 5,000-member public community with deep moderation tooling. It is built for coaching cohorts, where the community sits next to each member's own goals, sessions and check-ins. If community is your main concern, our walkthrough on hosting coaching communities without Circle and the group coaching software page show how that works in practice.

How do courses, programs and between-session work compare?

Circle has courses but no per-client coaching plans; Satori has packages and programs but no courses. Neither, by its own documentation, tracks a client's daily habits and check-ins.

That gap matters more than it looks. Most coaching results come from what the client does between calls: the habit they keep, the reflection they write, the check-in that shows they are slipping. Circle's course lessons are the same for every member. Satori's programs organize sessions and packages. Neither lists a daily task list, a morning check-in or a habit streak for an individual client.

Coachful runs multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Each client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions. It also includes an AI briefing per client and a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. Courses (modules, lessons, drip, completion tracking), downloads, videos, books and events are delivered into the same branded client home. Coachful includes more than 40 ready-to-film program templates and 48 course templates with quizzes.

What about payments, contracts and admin?

Satori covers practice admin (invoices, contracts, PayPal and Stripe) without a platform fee; Circle covers membership payments through Circle Payments (Stripe) with a 0.5% to 2% fee and no contracts or invoicing for 1:1 work.

Satori supports both PayPal and Stripe, which matters if your clients prefer PayPal. Circle uses Circle Payments, powered by Stripe, and charges its platform fee on top of Stripe processing. For a membership business with recurring subscriptions, Circle's payment setup is designed around access to spaces and courses, not around coaching agreements.

Coachful takes payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. It creates an invoice per transaction and supports manual invoices. There is a 0% Coachful platform fee (since August 2026), so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. One honest limit: Coachful does not support PayPal. If PayPal is a must for your clients, Satori has the edge on that point. See coaching payment software and coaching contracts for the full setup.

How do marketing, websites and email compare?

Circle includes a website and, through the paid Email Hub, email marketing; Satori, as listed in September 2026, has no landing pages. Neither is a full funnel tool.

Circle's plans include a website with a custom domain, and Email Hub adds email marketing at $99 a month for 10,000 contacts (the first 30 days are free, and it is included in Circle Plus). Satori focuses on the practice itself, so most Satori coaches pair it with a separate website builder and email tool.

Coachful includes a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus an Import website option. It also includes booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking, and a link-in-bio page that sells. Email covers lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. A social planner schedules posts to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and YouTube, and Instagram automations can send a booking link or lead magnet by DM when someone comments a keyword. See the coach website builder page for templates.

What is the client experience like on each?

On Circle, clients get a community experience in Circle-branded apps; on Satori, clients get a web client portal with no native mobile app (as listed in September 2026). If you use both, clients have two logins and two places to look.

Circle's member experience is strong for discussion: iOS, Android and desktop apps on every plan, with your own branded apps only on custom-priced Circle Plus. A member can post, comment, join a live stream and watch lessons. But there is no private space showing a member their own sessions, agreements and coaching plan.

Satori's client portal covers the private side: sessions, packages, documents and invoices. Without a native app, clients use it in a browser. That works well for a client who sees you every two weeks. It works less well for one who is meant to log a habit every morning.

Coachful gives each client one branded home and app (your branding inside the Coachful app, not your own App Store listing). From it, they see their next session, pre-session tasks, programs, progress, documents, habits, courses and the community. That one-login experience is the main reason coaches switch from a two-tool stack.

How do reviews, support and data export compare?

Circle has a Trustpilot score of 4.1 from 129 reviews (seen October 25, 2026); Satori's Trustpilot page had no reviews when checked, and older data showed Capterra 4.5 from 13 reviews. Coachful has a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 21 reviews.

On data portability, Circle lets you export members and subscriptions as CSV at any time. According to its older profile, posts and content have no bulk export, which matters if you ever move a large community. Satori documents a coaching-log export for ICF credentialing; a general client-data export was not verified. Coachful exports full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses) and exports courses. During onboarding, the Coachful team imports your clients, programs and content for you. If you are moving, see how to migrate from Circle or how to migrate from Satori.

On support, Circle's Scale plan includes priority support and 60-day concierge onboarding on annual billing, and Circle Plus adds a dedicated success manager. Satori's Leader plan lists dedicated support.

Does either help with ICF credential tracking?

Satori does, through its coaching-log export for ICF credentialing; Circle does not document any credential tracking. Coachful counts hours and clients against each threshold.

Coachful's ICF credential tracking counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours. Check the current requirements for each credential with the International Coaching Federation directly, since thresholds can change. More on the ICF hour tracking page.

Which should you pick for which kind of coach?

Match the tool to how you deliver coaching, not to the feature list. Here is how it breaks down by coaching model.

Two notes for specific niches. Life and mindset coaches who mainly see clients 1:1 will find Satori easy to start with; our Satori alternatives for life coaches list covers the options if you outgrow it. Business coaches running masterminds lean toward Circle for the community, and our Circle alternatives for business coaches guide covers tools that add 1:1 work. If you are comparing Satori with other practice tools, see Paperbell vs Satori.

Is there a third option that beats both?

For coaches who sell both 1:1 coaching and group programs, yes: Coachful covers what Satori does for the practice and what Circle does for the cohort, under one login. For a pure community business or a tiny 1:1 practice on a strict budget, one of the two may still be the better pick.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login, and the client has one branded app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia.

Where Coachful beats both.

  • One client journey. Booking, agreement, payment, program, daily check-ins, community and courses live in one place, instead of Satori for sessions and Circle for the group.
  • Between-session delivery. Daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins and streaks, which neither Circle nor Satori lists.
  • No platform fee on sales. Circle takes 0.5% to 2%; Coachful takes 0% and you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.
  • Marketing included. Website, funnels, email sequences, social planner and Instagram automations, which Satori does not offer and Circle partly charges extra for.
  • AI that knows your practice. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from live practice data. It builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before sessions. It can also give optional private feedback on your coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. An AI Coach lets selected clients chat with an AI version of you between sessions, configured by you.
  • Room to grow. Team plans (Studio and Agency) add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions.
Coachful client grid with status tags and insight metrics
Coachful's client grid with demo clients, status tags and illustrative task completion and check-in rates.

Where Coachful does not beat them.

  • Very large public communities. If your business is a community of thousands with heavy moderation, Circle's community depth, workflows and APIs are the stronger fit.
  • PayPal. Coachful has no PayPal; Satori supports it.
  • A no-cost plan. After the trial, every Coachful plan is paid. Satori's Scholar plan is free for certification students.
  • Your own App Store app. Coachful's client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding. Circle offers your own branded apps on custom-priced Circle Plus.
  • Clinical work. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
  • Enterprise sales tooling. No multi-stage deal board for large teams, and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration.

Pricing shape. Coachful uses flat monthly plans. Lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans add seats. Monthly plans cancel in one click. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build things for you from Create > We'll build it for you · FREE. That includes a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline and written material, an email sequence, a form, a lead quiz, an event or an automation. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, such as logos, photos, brand guides and copy. The team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours, and it never invents credentials, testimonials or prices; gaps are left for you. In one recent build, a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. In another, a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the free white-glove service.

What should you check before you decide?

Write down how you deliver coaching today and in a year, then check each tool against that list. A tool that fits month one but forces a second subscription in month six costs more than it looks.

  1. Count your delivery formats. 1:1 only, group only, or both? Both points away from Circle-only and Satori-only setups.
  2. Estimate your sales volume. Multiply it by Circle's fee for your plan and add it to the subscription.
  3. Count active clients. Satori's tiers cap active clients at 10, 50 and 150.
  4. Decide on payment methods. If PayPal is essential, that narrows the field.
  5. List what you would still need to buy. Website, email, funnels, scheduling, video links. Add those to the total.
  6. Test the client side. During each trial, sign up as a test client on your phone and see how many places you have to look.

Frequently asked questions

Is Circle or Satori better for coaches?

It depends on the coaching model. Circle is better for communities, memberships and courses, while Satori is better for 1:1 coaching practices with booking, packages, invoices and contracts. Coaches who need both often look at a single platform such as Coachful rather than paying for two tools.

Does Circle have 1:1 scheduling?

No. Circle has live events and streams for groups, but its documentation lists no 1:1 scheduling or client management back office. Coaches using Circle typically add a separate booking tool and a separate place for client notes.

Does Satori have a community or courses?

As listed in September 2026, Satori has no landing pages, courses or community. Its Pro plan includes group coaching sessions, but not a community feed or a course builder.

Which is cheaper, Circle or Satori?

Satori is cheaper on paper: plans started at $33 a month as listed in September 2026, with a free Scholar plan for certification students and no fee on client payments. Circle starts at $89 a month billed annually and adds a 0.5% to 2% fee on payments. Compare the full stack, though, since each tool needs other software to cover what it lacks.

Does Circle take a fee on payments?

Yes. Circle charges 2% on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, and 0.5% on Circle Plus, plus Stripe processing. Satori does not take a fee on client payments, and Coachful has a 0% platform fee.

Can I use Circle and Satori together?

You can, with Satori for 1:1 clients and Circle for your group or community. The trade-off is two subscriptions, two logins for your clients, and client information split across two systems. If most of your clients are in both, a single platform is usually simpler.

Do Circle or Satori have mobile apps?

Circle has iOS, Android and desktop apps on every plan, Circle-branded unless you are on custom-priced Circle Plus. Satori had no native mobile app as listed in September 2026. Coachful gives clients a branded app (your branding inside the Coachful app).

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

On every plan, the Coachful team will build a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence, form or automation inside your account, based on your description, links and files. It usually takes about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: gaps such as testimonials or prices are left for you to fill in.

Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Coaching is not medical treatment; if you work in health, keep clinical records in a clinical system and refer clients to a licensed professional when needed.

How do I move from Circle or Satori to Coachful?

Export your members (Circle offers members and subscriptions CSVs) or your client data, start a free trial, and the Coachful team imports your clients, programs and content during onboarding. You can also request a free white-glove build of your website or first program while you set up.
