ClickFunnels vs Podia (2026): Which Fits a Coaching Business?

ClickFunnels vs Podia comes down to what you sell. ClickFunnels is a funnel and sales-page builder for coaches who run paid traffic, webinars and multi-step offers, and its plans start at $97 a month. Podia is a simple storefront for courses, downloads, webinars, coaching sessions and a community, and it starts at $49 a month with a 5% transaction fee on that entry plan. If your business lives or dies by conversion pages, ClickFunnels is the stronger tool. If you want to sell a few products from one tidy site with the least setup, Podia is easier and cheaper.
Neither one was built to run the coaching itself: the weekly program, the habits and check-ins, the client record and the sessions. That gap is why this comparison ends with a third option. We make Coachful, a coaching platform, so read that section with our bias in mind; we have tried to be specific about when it beats both tools and when it does not. All vendor prices and limits below are as listed in October 2026 on each vendor's own pricing page.

What is the short answer for each kind of coach?
Pick by the job you need done most often. If you have to choose today, the list below is the honest shortcut, and the rest of the article explains each line.
- You sell a high-ticket program through ads, webinars or application funnels: ClickFunnels. Its funnel builder, order bumps, upsells and split tests are the core of the product.
- You sell a course, a few downloads and some paid calls to a small audience: Podia. It is quick to set up, has unlimited customers on every plan and a 14-day trial with no card.
- You run 1:1 or group coaching programs with weekly work between sessions: neither fits well. A coaching platform such as Coachful puts booking, payments, contracts, programs, habits, check-ins, courses, community, website, funnels and email under one login, with a branded app for clients.
- You are just starting and money is tight: Podia's entry plan is the cheaper of the two, but read the fee math in the pricing section before you choose it.
- You already have a large email list: ClickFunnels. Podia includes only 100 to 1,000 email subscribers depending on the plan, while ClickFunnels starts at 10,000 contacts.
For deeper single-vendor reads, see our ClickFunnels review and our Podia review.
How do ClickFunnels and Podia compare side by side?
ClickFunnels is broader and more sales-focused; Podia is narrower and simpler. Our criteria for the table: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort. Those criteria favor a coaching platform, which is why Coachful leads the table.
| Tool | Built for | Entry price | Platform fee | Client programs, habits, check-ins | Trustpilot (October 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | 0% platform fee; Stripe or Razorpay processing only | Yes: multi-week programs, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals, streaks | 4.5 from 21 reviews |
| ClickFunnels | Funnels, sales pages, email and offers | $97/month (Launch), $81/month billed annually | 0% ClickFunnels commission; processor fees apply | No | 4.7 from 2,512 reviews |
| Podia | Selling courses, downloads, webinars, calls and community | $49/month (Mover), $42/month billed annually | 5% on Mover; 0% on Shaker and Earthquaker | No | 4.1 from 153 reviews |
Ratings tell you about general satisfaction across all kinds of buyers, most of whom are not coaches. A tool with thousands of happy marketers can still be the wrong pick for a coach whose main work happens after the sale.

What does ClickFunnels do well for coaches?
ClickFunnels is best at turning strangers into buyers through a sequence of pages. That is its whole design: opt-in page, sales page, checkout, order bump, upsell, thank-you page, then email follow-up.
According to its pricing page in October 2026, every plan includes all of its apps: funnels, email, courses, communities, a store and appointments. The Launch plan lists funnels as unlimited (marked "Limited Time"), 10,000 contacts, 50,000 emails a month, 2 team members, 5 domains, 3 courses, 3 communities, 1 store and 1 million AI words. ClickFunnels states a 0% commission on sales ("You'll keep every penny you make"), so you only pay your payment processor. Its payment options include its Stripe-based Payments AI and Stripe; an older profile also lists PayPal.
Where it shines for coaches:
- Launch and webinar funnels. If you sell a group program through a free training, ClickFunnels gives you the registration page, replay page, sales page and checkout in one flow.
- Offer stacking. Order bumps and one-click upsells raise the average order value on low-ticket entry offers.
- Volume. Contact and email allowances are large even on the entry plan, which matters once you run ads.
- Training ecosystem. Higher plans include onboarding calls and, on Dominate, FunnelFlix Platinum.
Where it falls short: ClickFunnels has no client habits, check-ins or structured 1:1 coaching programs. The Launch plan caps courses at 3. An older profile also notes that funnels are proprietary and not portable: contacts export to CSV, but pages and funnels stay behind, and course content must be rebuilt elsewhere. For more on this, read our guide to building coaching funnels without ClickFunnels.

What does Podia do well for coaches?
Podia is best at getting a small creator business online quickly. You add products, a simple site and email, and you can sell the same day.
Per its pricing page in October 2026, every plan has unlimited customers. Mover includes 50 products, 500 videos, 25 community spaces and 100 email subscribers, and covers courses, downloads, coaching, webinars, community, a website and email. Shaker raises that to 150 products, 1,000 videos, 100 spaces and 500 email subscribers, adds one assistant, affiliate marketing, upsells, PayPal and Zapier, and drops the transaction fee to 0%. Earthquaker removes the product, video, space and assistant caps and includes 1,000 email subscribers. Extra email subscribers are an add-on (price not shown), and Podia says you are never automatically upgraded.
Where it shines for coaches:
- Low setup effort. The product-first layout is easy to understand, and the 14-day trial needs no card or plan choice.
- Mixed digital products. A course, a template pack, a recorded workshop and a paid call can sit in one storefront.
- Community included. Spaces sit alongside your products instead of in a separate tool.
Where it falls short: the email allowances are small, the Mover plan takes 5% of every sale, and an older profile notes no mobile app and no native video calls. Like ClickFunnels, Podia has no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans. Its coaching product sells a session; it does not manage the client relationship around it. Our Podia alternatives roundup covers tools that go further.

How much do ClickFunnels and Podia cost?
Podia is cheaper at every tier, but ClickFunnels includes far more contacts and email volume. The table lists monthly and annual-billed prices, as listed in October 2026.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed annually (per month) | Key limits | Sales fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful (all plans) | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Flat plans; lower plans cap clients, Pro is unlimited; team plans add coach seats | 0% platform fee |
| ClickFunnels Launch | $97 | $81 | 10K contacts, 50K emails/mo, 3 courses, 2 team members | 0% |
| ClickFunnels Scale | $197 | $164 | 75K contacts, 300K emails/mo, 6 courses, 5 team members | 0% |
| ClickFunnels Optimize | $297 | $248 | 150K contacts, 750K emails/mo, 10 courses, 10 team members | 0% |
| ClickFunnels Dominate | Annual only | $499.75 ($5,997/year) | 400K contacts, 1.2M emails/mo, 20 courses, 20 team members | 0% |
| Podia Mover | $49 | $42 | 50 products, 100 email subscribers | 5% |
| Podia Shaker | $99 | $84 | 150 products, 500 email subscribers, 1 assistant | 0% |
| Podia Earthquaker | $179 | $150 | Unlimited products, 1,000 email subscribers | 0% |
Processor fees sit on top of every row. Podia lists standard Stripe and PayPal processing at 2.9% + 30¢. ClickFunnels states annual savings of $194, $394 and $594 a year on Launch, Scale and Optimize. Current Coachful plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.
When does Podia's 5% fee cost more than upgrading?
The Mover plan is $50 a month cheaper than Shaker, but it takes 5% of sales. The break-even is $1,000 a month in sales: 5% of $1,000 is $50. Example (illustrative numbers): a coach selling $3,000 a month on Mover pays $49 plus $150 in Podia fees, or $199, before processing. On Shaker the same coach pays $99. Above roughly $1,000 a month in sales, Shaker is the cheaper Podia plan.
What does the email allowance really cost?
Podia's subscriber counts are small. A coach with a 2,000-person list would exceed even Earthquaker's included 1,000 subscribers and need an email add-on, whose price Podia does not show on the pricing page. ClickFunnels' Launch plan includes 10,000 contacts. If your list is your main asset, this single line can decide the comparison. Our Podia pricing and ClickFunnels pricing breakdowns go plan by plan.
What does the whole stack cost?
Neither tool covers coaching delivery, so most coaches add a scheduler, an e-signature tool, a habit or check-in app and sometimes a separate community. Each adds a subscription and another login for your clients. When you compare prices, compare the full stack you would actually pay for, not just the headline plan.
How do the funnel and website builders compare?
ClickFunnels has the stronger funnel builder by a wide margin; Podia has the simpler website. That is the clearest difference between the two tools.
ClickFunnels is built around multi-step funnels with order bumps, upsells and split testing, and the Scale plan adds a custom code editor plus webhooks and API access. Podia gives you a site with product pages, a checkout and, on Shaker and above, upsells. It is enough for a clean storefront but not for a multi-step launch with branching offers.
For coaches, the practical question is how many funnels you really run. Most coaching businesses need three: a booking or application funnel for discovery calls, a lead magnet funnel, and a program launch or webinar funnel. If that is you, either tool can work, and so can a coaching platform with funnels built in. If you run a dozen offers with paid traffic and constant split tests, ClickFunnels is the specialist.
How do courses and digital products compare?
Podia is more generous for courses at the entry level; ClickFunnels caps courses by plan. Podia's Mover includes 50 products and 500 videos, while ClickFunnels' Launch allows 3 courses and Scale allows 6.
Podia also handles downloads, webinars and bundles of mixed products comfortably, which suits coaches who sell templates, workbooks and recorded workshops. ClickFunnels treats courses as one app among many inside its funnel system. If you plan to build a library of 10 or more courses, Podia (or a dedicated course platform) is the better fit of the two. For course-first comparisons, see Podia vs Teachable and Podia vs Thinkific.
How do email marketing and automation compare?
ClickFunnels wins on email volume and automation depth; Podia wins on simplicity. ClickFunnels includes 50,000 emails a month on Launch and up to 1.2 million on Dominate, with workflows tied to funnel steps. Podia includes email broadcasts and sequences, but its subscriber allowance is 100, 500 or 1,000 depending on the plan.
Podia adds Zapier on Shaker and above, and ClickFunnels adds webhooks and API on Scale and above. If you connect a separate email platform anyway, the built-in limits matter less.
How do community, booking and coaching sessions compare?
Both tools include a community and a way to sell calls, but neither manages the coaching relationship. Podia's coaching product lets clients buy a session; an older profile notes it has no native video calls. ClickFunnels includes an appointments app and community app on every plan.
What you will not find in either: two-way calendar sync tuned for coaching packages, session credits, coaching agreements signed before the first call, a client record with notes and goals, or check-ins between sessions. Coaches usually bolt those on with other tools. If your clients pay for change over 12 weeks rather than for a single hour, that missing layer is where most of the work happens.

What is the client experience like on each?
On ClickFunnels and Podia, the client experience is a buyer experience: they land on a page, pay, and then access a course, a community or a booked call. That is fine for a product. It is thin for a coaching relationship.
Consider a 12-week program. The client needs to know this week's focus, today's task, which habit to track, when the next session is, and where the worksheet lives. On a funnel builder or storefront, those pieces are spread across a course area, emails, a calendar link and maybe a separate habit app. The client logs into several places, and the coach has no single view of who is on track and who has gone quiet.
Podia keeps things simple for buyers, with one storefront and one login for products. ClickFunnels can feel more like a series of pages than a home base. Neither offers a branded client app; an older profile notes Podia has no mobile app.

The screen above is what a coaching-first client home looks like in Coachful: next session, pre-session work and tabs for programs, sessions, progress and documents in one place. That is the experience neither ClickFunnels nor Podia was designed to provide.
Can you move your data out of ClickFunnels or Podia later?
Partly. Contacts export from both, but your pages and course structure do not travel well. Per its older profile, ClickFunnels exports contacts to CSV, funnels and pages are not portable, and course content must be rebuilt. Podia exports contacts to CSV, customers per product (active enrollments only) and sales or invoice data.
Plan your exit before you build. Keep your lesson videos, worksheets and copy in your own storage so a move later means re-uploading, not recreating.
Which should you pick: ClickFunnels, Podia, or neither?
Choose by your business model and how much happens between sessions.
| Your situation | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful: 1:1 or group programs with weekly work, habits and check-ins | Coachful | Booking, payments, contracts, programs, habits, check-ins, courses, community, website, funnels and email under one login, with a branded client app |
| High-ticket offers sold through ads, webinars or application funnels at volume | ClickFunnels | Deepest funnel builder, order bumps, upsells, large contact limits |
| A course, downloads and a few paid calls to a small list | Podia | Simple storefront, unlimited customers, no-card trial |
| Over $1,000 a month in product sales on a budget | Podia Shaker | 0% fee beats Mover's 5% above that point |
| A list of several thousand subscribers | ClickFunnels | 10,000 contacts on Launch versus 1,000 on Podia's top plan |
| Payment via PayPal is a must | Podia (Shaker and above) or ClickFunnels | Coachful does not support PayPal |
Pick ClickFunnels if marketing is your bottleneck and you already have a separate system for delivering coaching. Pick Podia if you mainly sell digital products and want the least setup. Pick a coaching platform if your clients pay you for a program and you want one place to run it. For other matchups, see ClickFunnels vs Kajabi and Podia vs Kajabi, or browse every comparison.
What is the third option, and when does Coachful beat both?

Coachful is a coaching platform. One membership covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia.
Where Coachful beats ClickFunnels and Podia
- Program delivery. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Neither ClickFunnels nor Podia has these.
- Client record. Goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments, sessions and an AI briefing per client, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk.
- Booking built for coaching. Booking pages with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links; email reminders, plus SMS and WhatsApp reminders once messaging is enabled; paid sessions and session credits; intake questions on booking.
- Contracts before the first call. Coaching agreements with e-signature, stored on the client record.
- Payments without a platform cut. Through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax, with a 0% Coachful platform fee.
- Funnels and website included. A section-based website builder with blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking, and a link-in-bio page that sells.
- Email. Lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits.
- Courses and community. Courses with modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking; community feed, group chat, direct messages, video events; cohort groups created automatically on program enrollment.
- AI help. Michelle, the built-in assistant, works from your live practice data: it builds programs, drafts emails, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before sessions. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

Here is a short walkthrough of how funnels work inside Coachful:

The habit tracker above is what clients see between sessions. It is the piece most coaches end up buying separately when they run on a funnel builder or storefront. See how it fits together on our coaching software page and the group coaching software page.

Where ClickFunnels or Podia beats Coachful
- Pure funnel depth at scale. If you run many funnels with heavy split testing, custom code and API work, ClickFunnels is the specialist.
- PayPal. Coachful has no PayPal. Podia offers it on Shaker and above, and ClickFunnels lists it in an older profile.
- Course marketplace or non-coaching sites. Coachful is not a course marketplace and not a general website builder for non-coaching sites, and it has no third-party plugins.
- A product-only business. If you sell templates and recorded courses with no ongoing client work, Podia's storefront may be all you need.
- Sales teams. Coachful has no multi-stage sales deal board for large teams and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration.
Coachful also does not do some things you should know up front. It is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. There is no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. There is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync. The affiliate program tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually rather than sent by Coachful.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE" and describe what you want: a website, a funnel, an offer or sales page, a program, a course outline and written material, an email sequence, a form, a lead quiz, an event or an automation. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Recent anonymized builds show the range. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. A business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. A real-estate and money coach got a year-long cohort program with an application form, an eight-page site and a free nine-day bootcamp funnel. For a coach weighing ClickFunnels against Podia, that service covers the setup work either tool would leave to you. Read more about the free white-glove service.

If you are starting with no site at all, the coach website builder page shows the templates, and the course platform for coaches page covers courses in detail.

Frequently asked questions
Is ClickFunnels or Podia better for coaches?
It depends on what you sell. ClickFunnels is better for coaches who sell through funnels, webinars and paid traffic. Podia is better for coaches who mostly sell courses, downloads and a few paid calls. Coaches who run multi-week programs with check-ins usually need a coaching platform instead.
Is Podia cheaper than ClickFunnels?
Yes, at list price. Podia starts at $49 a month and ClickFunnels at $97 a month, as listed in October 2026. Podia's Mover plan adds a 5% transaction fee, so above about $1,000 a month in sales the Shaker plan at $99 is cheaper overall.
Does ClickFunnels charge transaction fees?
ClickFunnels states a 0% commission on sales on all plans. You still pay your payment processor's fees. Podia charges 5% on Mover and 0% on Shaker and Earthquaker, plus processing.
Can I run coaching sessions on Podia or ClickFunnels?
You can sell sessions on both. Podia has a coaching product type and ClickFunnels has an appointments app. Neither offers the coaching layer around the session: agreements, client notes, habits, check-ins and a per-client program.
Which has better email marketing?
ClickFunnels, by volume. Its Launch plan includes 10,000 contacts and 50,000 emails a month. Podia includes 100, 500 or 1,000 email subscribers depending on the plan, with add-ons for more.
Do ClickFunnels and Podia offer free trials?
Both offer 14-day trials. Podia's needs no credit card or plan choice. ClickFunnels' help center, per an older profile, says the card on file is charged after 14 days, and it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Can I move from ClickFunnels or Podia to another platform?
Contacts export from both as CSV. ClickFunnels funnels and pages are not portable, and course content must be rebuilt. Podia exports customers per product (active enrollments only) and sales data. Coachful imports clients, programs and content for you during onboarding.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a build service included on every Coachful plan. You describe a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or similar, attach links and files, and the team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.
Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so clinical records and insurance billing belong in a clinical system. Coaching is not medical treatment; health coaches should refer clients to a doctor or licensed clinician for diagnosis or treatment.
Does Coachful support PayPal?
No. Coachful takes payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. If PayPal is essential, Podia offers it on Shaker and above, and an older ClickFunnels profile lists it too.
