ClickFunnels vs Kajabi for Coaches: 2026 Prices and Verdict

ClickFunnels vs Kajabi for Coaches: 2026 Prices and Verdict

ClickFunnels vs Kajabi mostly comes down to what you sell. ClickFunnels is a funnel and sales-page builder first, with email, courses, a community, a store and an appointments app built around it. Its Launch plan costs $97 a month as listed in October 2026. Kajabi is a course, community and website platform first, with funnels and email included, and its Basic plan costs $179 a month. If your business runs on ads, opt-in pages and checkout flows, ClickFunnels fits better. If it runs on a course library and a paid community, Kajabi does. Neither one is built to run 1:1 or small-group coaching between sessions: neither offers client habits, daily check-ins or per-client programs.

We make Coachful, a coaching platform, so keep that in mind as you read our verdict. Below we show where ClickFunnels and Kajabi are genuinely stronger and what each costs once fees and contact limits come in. We also show why, for coaches who sell programs rather than products, a third option often covers more of the job with fewer extra tools to pay for.

ClickFunnels vs Kajabi: what is the short answer?

Pick ClickFunnels if you sell through funnels and want the larger contact allowance at the lower entry price. Pick Kajabi if your product is a course or membership and you want a polished member area. Pick neither if most of your revenue comes from coaching packages and programs, because both leave booking, agreements and between-session delivery to other tools.

  • Paid ads to a low-ticket offer, then an upsell: ClickFunnels. Funnels are its core product, and its Launch plan lists unlimited funnels (marked "Limited Time" in October 2026).
  • A course library or paid membership with a community: Kajabi. Courses, communities and the member area are what it was built around.
  • A large email list on a small budget: ClickFunnels. Launch includes 10,000 contacts, while Kajabi Basic stops at 2,500.
  • A branded mobile app for members: Kajabi, though its October 2026 comparison table lists the branded app on the Pro plan only.
  • Selling and delivering coaching programs with sessions, check-ins and habits: Coachful, which handles the whole client journey under one login.

If you have already ruled one of them out, our deeper pieces cover each tool on its own: the ClickFunnels review and the Kajabi review.

How do ClickFunnels and Kajabi compare side by side?

ClickFunnels wins on funnels and contact limits per dollar; Kajabi wins on courses, community and the member experience. For coaches, we rank on four things: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort.

The ratings are worth reading with care. ClickFunnels and Kajabi each have more than 2,000 Trustpilot reviews, so their scores are stable. Coachful's 21 reviews are a small sample, which tells you less.

ClickFunnels pricing in detail

ClickFunnels has four plans as listed in October 2026. Launch ($97) covers 10,000 contacts, 50,000 emails a month, one workspace, two team members, five domains, three courses, three communities, one store and 1 million AI words, with all apps included. Scale ($197) raises that to 75,000 contacts, 300,000 emails, five workspaces, five team members, unlimited domains and six courses or communities, and adds a custom code editor, webhooks and API access, priority and live chat support, and what ClickFunnels calls voice AI coaching. Optimize ($297) goes to 150,000 contacts and ten team members and adds a private one-hour onboarding call. Dominate is annual only at $5,997 a year.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

ClickFunnels states annual savings of $194, $394 and $594 a year on the first three plans, which works out to roughly 16 to 17 percent off. Its pricing page mentions a 14-day trial. In September 2026, its help center said the card on file is charged once those 14 days end, so set a reminder if you are only testing.

Kajabi pricing in detail

Kajabi has three public plans as listed in October 2026. Basic ($179) allows five products, 2,500 contacts, one community, one website and two admin users, with no AI credits. Growth ($249) allows 50 products, 25,000 contacts, eleven admin users and 500 AI credits, and adds automation features and an affiliate program. Pro ($499) removes the product cap, allows 100,000 contacts, three communities, three websites and 26 admin users, and adds 1,000 AI credits. Annual billing takes about 20 percent off each plan. The older Kickstarter plan does not appear on the public pricing page.

Two add-ons matter. Extra contacts cost $125 a month per 25,000, and an AI credit top-up of $15 for 500 credits is marked as coming. Kajabi's help center describes a 14-day trial where a card is optional. If you enter one, Kajabi places an authorization hold and charges on the day the trial ends. Some features, including bulk contact import, test emails and some automations, stay locked until you activate a paid plan.

A worked example: 3,000 contacts and two courses

Here is an illustrative case, not a quote. Say you have 3,000 email contacts and sell two courses plus a small community. On ClickFunnels, Launch covers that at $97 a month. On Kajabi, Basic's 2,500-contact cap is already too small. Adding 25,000 contacts to Basic would cost $179 plus $125, so Growth at $249 is the cheaper route. That is a gap of $152 a month in ClickFunnels' favour before any transaction fees, and the gap stays when billed annually ($81 against $199).

Turn the example around and Kajabi looks better: with 40 courses and products and a modest list, ClickFunnels would push you towards its higher plans because Launch caps you at three courses, while Kajabi Growth allows 50 products. For the full breakdowns, see our ClickFunnels pricing and Kajabi pricing guides.

What do the transaction fees look like?

ClickFunnels takes no commission on sales, so you pay only your payment processor. Kajabi charges its own processing rate through Kajabi Payments, and it adds a surcharge if you use another processor (other than PayPal).

ToolPlatform fee on salesPayment processorsPayPal

KajabiKajabi Payments (US): 2.9% + $0.30 Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 Growth, 2.7% + $0.30 Pro. Other processors: an extra 2% Basic, 1% Growth, 0.5% Pro on top of their feesKajabi Payments, PayPal, other providers (surcharged)Supported, without the surcharge

Here is an illustrative example. If you sell $5,000 a month on Kajabi Basic through a processor other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal, the 2% surcharge adds $100 a month on top of that processor's own fees, or $1,200 a year. On Growth the same surcharge is $50 a month, and on Pro $25. If you stay on Kajabi Payments, there is no surcharge, but you are tied to Kajabi's processing rates, and the rates above apply to US entities.

For coaches who take payment plans and subscriptions for high-ticket packages, these percentages add up faster than the plan price itself. That is one reason we count total stack cost, not only the subscription line.

Which has the better funnel and sales-page builder?

ClickFunnels does. Funnels are the product it was built on, and every plan is organised around them, with workspaces, domains and the custom code editor on Scale for marketers who want more control. Kajabi includes unlimited funnels, landing pages and marketing emails on every plan, which is generous, but its funnels exist mainly to sell its courses and communities.

In practice the difference shows up in how you think about a launch. A ClickFunnels user typically builds an opt-in page, a sales page, an order form with an upsell and a thank-you page, then wires email around it. A Kajabi user builds a product first, then a funnel that feeds it. If you run paid traffic and test pages constantly, ClickFunnels' focus helps. If you launch a course twice a year, Kajabi's built-in funnels are usually enough.

What neither does is connect the funnel to the coaching that follows. Once someone buys a 12-week program, you still need booking, an agreement, an intake form and somewhere to deliver weekly work. That handoff is where most coaches end up adding tools.

Coachful approaches funnels from the coaching side. It has booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking, about 25 funnel templates, order bumps and coupons at checkout, and a link-in-bio page that sells. A buyer lands straight in the program and the client's branded home, with the agreement and booking in the same account. The walkthrough below shows how a funnel is set up:

If funnels are your main question, our guides on building coaching funnels without ClickFunnels and Coachful vs Kajabi for funnels and email go step by step.

Which is better for courses, memberships and community?

Kajabi is better for courses and memberships. ClickFunnels caps courses and communities hard on its lower plans: three each on Launch, six on Scale, ten on Optimize and twenty on Dominate. Kajabi caps by product count instead: five on Basic, 50 on Growth and unlimited on Pro, with one community on Basic and Growth and three on Pro.

Kajabi's member area is the main reason course creators choose it. Courses, community and coaching products sit together under one brand, and on Pro there is a branded mobile app listed in Kajabi's comparison table. Its add-on list also describes the branded app as included (a "$199/mo value") without saying which tier. If the app matters to you, confirm which plan includes it during the trial.

ClickFunnels' courses and communities work, but they are apps inside a funnel tool. For a coach who sells one signature course and runs a community alongside it, three of each on Launch is enough. For a coach building a library, the caps decide the plan.

Coachful includes courses with modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking, plus 48 course templates with quizzes. It also covers downloads, videos, books, AI tools, events and bundles. The community has a feed, group chat, direct messages and video events, and a cohort group is created automatically when someone enrolls in a program. All of it appears in the client's branded home and app, next to their sessions and check-ins. It is not a course marketplace, and if you only sell recorded courses to thousands of students who never book a session, Kajabi was designed for you.

How do email marketing and automation compare?

Kajabi includes unlimited marketing emails but caps contacts; ClickFunnels includes more contacts but caps monthly sends. Both include automations, and which is cheaper depends on your list size and how often you email.

  • ClickFunnels: 10,000 contacts and 50,000 emails a month on Launch; 75,000 contacts and 300,000 emails on Scale; 150,000 and 750,000 on Optimize; 400,000 and 1.2 million on Dominate. Webhooks and API access start on Scale.
  • Kajabi: unlimited marketing emails on every plan, with 2,500, 25,000 and 100,000 contacts on Basic, Growth and Pro. Extra contacts cost $125 a month per 25,000. Automation features are a stated part of Growth.

Here is an illustrative case. A list of 8,000 contacts emailed twice a week is about 64,000 sends a month. That fits Kajabi Growth's contact cap, but it goes past ClickFunnels Launch's 50,000-email allowance, so you would need to email less or move up to Scale. A list of 8,000 emailed once a week (about 32,000 sends) fits Launch comfortably.

Coachful includes email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits, plus reminders tied to sessions. Because email sits next to the client record, a sequence can respond to what a client actually does, such as booking a call or enrolling in a program. For anything beyond that, Zapier connects to the rest of your tools.

Can ClickFunnels or Kajabi run your actual coaching?

Only partly. ClickFunnels has an appointments app and Kajabi sells coaching as a product type tied to its products and communities. But neither offers client habits, daily check-ins or structured per-client programs, and neither stores coaching agreements on a client record.

That matters because the work a client pays for mostly happens between calls. A typical 1:1 package needs:

  1. A booking page with availability rules, buffers, time zones and calendar sync.
  2. A coaching agreement signed before the first call.
  3. Intake questions answered before the first session.
  4. A weekly plan: goals, tasks, habits and a check-in rhythm.
  5. Session notes and a history you can review before each call.
  6. Payments that handle plans, subscriptions and session credits.

On ClickFunnels or Kajabi, items 2, 4 and 5 usually come from separate tools: an e-signature service, a habit or check-in app, and a notes system or spreadsheet. Each has its own login for you and often another one for the client. The more of the client journey runs outside the main tool, the harder it is to see who is falling behind.

Coachful covers all six. Booking pages include availability rules, buffers, minimum notice, time-zone detection and two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync. Sessions get built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. Agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. Programs carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, streaks and morning and evening check-ins. Each client is marked thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you know who needs attention.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

What does your client experience on each platform?

On ClickFunnels, a client sees your funnel pages, the checkout and then a course or community area. On Kajabi, they see a polished member area for your products and community, with a branded app on Pro. On Coachful, they see one branded home and app with their program, sessions, habits, check-ins, courses and community together.

Follow one client through each. On ClickFunnels, they click an ad, opt in, watch a video, buy on the order form and get a login to the course area. Then you send them a separate booking link and a separate agreement, and they track their weekly actions in whatever tool you chose. On Kajabi, the purchase and course access feel more unified, and the community sits next to the content. But a weekly check-in still means a form or a third-party app, and the session calendar lives somewhere else.

On Coachful, the client signs the agreement, books the first session, answers intake questions and lands in the program, all under your branding. During the week, they tick off tasks and habits, answer morning and evening check-ins and post in their cohort group. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. That is one area where Kajabi Pro's own-brand app goes further.

This short walkthrough shows the client journey from first contact to an active program:

How hard is it to leave ClickFunnels or Kajabi?

Your contacts are easy to take with you from both platforms; your pages and courses are not. Plan for a rebuild either way.

As of September 2026, ClickFunnels exports contacts to CSV, but funnels and pages are proprietary and do not move to another platform, and course content has to be rebuilt. Kajabi emails CSV exports of contacts, subscriptions, sales and members. Course content has to be downloaded asset by asset, and Kajabi removes your data 90 days after cancellation, so export before you close the account.

Coachful exports your full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses), and courses can be exported too. Coming in, your clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. If you are moving a site, our guide to moving a coaching website off Kajabi, Wix or Squarespace walks through the order of steps.

Which should you pick for which kind of coach?

It depends on what earns you money. For coaches whose income comes from programs and ongoing client work, Coachful fits best. ClickFunnels suits coaches whose business is mostly paid-traffic funnels, and Kajabi suits coaches whose business is mostly courses and memberships.

Business and sales coaches

If your offer is a high-ticket mentorship sold through application calls, the funnel matters less than the call and what follows it. An application funnel, an intake call tracker and an agreement before the first session cover most of it. See Coachful for business coaches. If you mostly sell a low-ticket product to cold traffic, ClickFunnels is still the specialist.

Executive and leadership coaches

You rarely need funnels at all. What you need is a calm booking page, agreements, session notes, pre-session briefings and, if you hold or are working towards an ICF credential, a reliable hours log. Coachful counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log; see ICF hour tracking. Neither ClickFunnels nor Kajabi is designed for this.

Health, wellness and fitness coaches

Your clients' progress lives in daily habits, check-ins and, for fitness, workouts and nutrition. Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack adds a workout builder with an illustrated exercise library, workout logging with PRs, nutrition targets, meal plans, progress photos and form-check videos. Coaches attach their own demo videos, since there are no stock exercise videos. See Fitness & Nutrition and Coachful for health coaches.

One scope note: coaching is not treatment. Health coaches work on behaviour and habits, and they should refer clients to a doctor, registered dietitian or mental health professional for diagnosis, medication, medical nutrition therapy or symptoms that need clinical care. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing, and the same caution applies to ClickFunnels and Kajabi.

Life and mindset coaches

Most life coaches sell a mix: a signature program, 1:1 sessions and a small group or community. That mix is exactly what forces a ClickFunnels or Kajabi user to add booking, agreements and a check-in app. Coachful covers it under one login; see Coachful for life coaches and our list of Kajabi alternatives for life coaches.

The third option: when does Coachful beat both, and when does it not?

Coachful beats both when your income comes from coaching programs and ongoing client work, because it replaces the four to six tools that ClickFunnels or Kajabi users usually add. It does not beat them for high-volume ad funnels or for a course business that needs its own App Store app.

What Coachful is

Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and the client gets one branded app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia.

Beyond the pieces covered above, it includes Michelle, an AI assistant that works from your live practice data. Michelle builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions, briefs you before sessions, and can give optional private feedback on your own coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. There is also an AI Coach, an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions, set up by you. The website builder offers 30 designed homepage templates, a blog, a custom domain, SEO settings and an option to import an existing website. Team plans (Studio and Agency) add coach seats with per-coach availability, staff permissions and round-robin booking.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create and choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", or use the "Want us to build it for you?" card on the Website, Funnels and Programs pages. Then describe what you need: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, form, link in bio, lead quiz, webinar page or automation. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, such as logos, photos, brand guides and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and any gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. The full details are in our guide to the white-glove service.

Some recent builds, anonymized: a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had their homepage and About page rebuilt and their contact form connected. A business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a start-up-guide lead-magnet funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. A real-estate and money coach got a year-long cohort program with an application form, an eight-page site and a nine-day bootcamp funnel. A menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream, with every button leading to a 20-minute consultation.

What Coachful does not do

  • It is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
  • It does not support PayPal, and there is no permanent free plan.
  • The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.
  • It is not a course marketplace, not a general website builder for non-coaching sites, and it has no third-party plugins.
  • It has no multi-stage sales deal board for large teams and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration.
  • The affiliate program tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually rather than sent by Coachful.
  • There is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available.

How to start

Start a free trial, then use the white-glove service to have your website, first funnel or program built in your account while you look around. Your existing clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Plans are flat monthly, lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited and team plans add seats (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with a 0% Coachful platform fee. Pick ClickFunnels over Coachful if...

You run a marketing-led business where paid traffic, split-tested pages and upsell sequences drive most revenue, you have a list of tens of thousands of contacts, and you sell few coaching programs with ongoing client work. You also need PayPal at checkout, or you want webhooks and API access for a custom stack. Our list of ClickFunnels alternatives for coaches and the Systeme.io vs ClickFunnels comparison cover the funnel-first options.

Pick Kajabi over Coachful if...

Your business is a large course library or membership sold to students who rarely book sessions, you want a branded app under your own App Store listing on Pro, or you want a built-in affiliate program (Kajabi lists one from Growth), whereas Coachful records affiliate payouts manually. You may also want PayPal without a surcharge. For other routes, see our Kajabi alternatives for coaches and the Kajabi alternative page.

Frequently asked questions

Is ClickFunnels or Kajabi cheaper?

ClickFunnels is cheaper to start: Launch costs $97 a month against $179 for Kajabi Basic, as listed in October 2026. ClickFunnels also includes 10,000 contacts on Launch against Kajabi Basic's 2,500. Kajabi can work out better if you sell many products, since Growth allows 50 against ClickFunnels Launch's three courses.

Does Kajabi charge transaction fees?

Kajabi Payments in the US charges 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 on Growth and 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. If you use a processor other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal, Kajabi adds 2%, 1% or 0.5% on top, depending on the plan. ClickFunnels takes no commission; you pay only processor fees.

Can I use ClickFunnels and Kajabi together?

You can, and some creators run ClickFunnels funnels in front of a Kajabi course area. That means paying both subscriptions (at least $276 a month on monthly billing) and syncing contacts between them. For most coaches it is more cost and maintenance than the extra funnel features are worth.

Which is better for coaches, ClickFunnels or Kajabi?

For course-led coaches, Kajabi; for funnel-led coaches, ClickFunnels. For coaches whose income comes from 1:1 or group programs, neither is a full fit, because neither offers habits, daily check-ins or per-client programs. That is the gap Coachful is designed to fill.

Do ClickFunnels and Kajabi have free trials?

Both list 14-day trials as of October 2026, and both offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. On Kajabi a card is optional; if entered, you are charged when the trial ends, and some features stay locked until you pay. ClickFunnels' help center said in September 2026 that the card on file is charged after 14 days.

Does either platform have a mobile app for clients?

Kajabi's October 2026 comparison table lists a branded mobile app on the Pro plan. Coachful gives clients a branded app inside the Coachful app, with their programs, sessions, habits, check-ins and community in one place.

What is Coachful's white-glove build service?

It is a build service included on every Coachful plan. You describe what you want (a website, funnel, program, email sequence and more), attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Can I move from Kajabi or ClickFunnels to Coachful?

Yes. Export your contacts as CSV from either platform first, and download Kajabi course assets before cancelling, since Kajabi removes data 90 days after cancellation. Coachful imports your clients, programs and content during onboarding, and the white-glove service can rebuild your site and funnels.

Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not suitable for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. It is GDPR-ready and built for coaching, which is not treatment.
