Everfit vs TrueCoach (2026): Pricing, Features, Which to Pick

Everfit vs TrueCoach comes down to how you want to pay and how much you want inside one app. Everfit has a free plan for up to 5 clients and a Pro tier that adds booking, habits and nutrition logging, but automation, payments and meal plans cost extra as add-ons. TrueCoach is the simpler workout-programming app. It has a large exercise video library, MyFitnessPal nutrition tracking and wearables on its middle tier, no booking on its feature list, and no free plan. If you only program training, either one works. If you also sell, schedule, onboard and keep clients engaged between sessions, both will leave you paying for other tools.
This guide compares the two on prices as listed in October 2026, what each tier includes, the client experience, and what public reviewers report. We make Coachful, a coaching platform that covers the whole client journey, so we also show where it beats both apps and where it does not. Vendor facts come from each company's own pricing page, checked on 25 October 2026.
What is the short answer for each type of coach?
Pick on the work you actually do each week. Here is the short version by use case.
- You train 1 to 5 clients and want to spend nothing: Everfit's free Starter plan, which covers workouts, progress photos, tasks and messaging. TrueCoach has no free plan.
- You program strength training and want a big video library: TrueCoach. Its Starter tier lists more than 3,000 exercise videos.
- Your clients track food in MyFitnessPal: TrueCoach, which lists MyFitnessPal nutrition and habit tracking from its Starter tier.
- You want booking, habit coaching and macros in the training app: Everfit Pro, which adds all three.
- You coach 50 to 500 clients with a team: Everfit, whose Pro and Studio tiers scale by client count. TrueCoach's published tiers stop at 50 active clients.
- You run a coaching business, not just a training log: Coachful, which puts booking, payments, contracts, programs, check-ins, courses, community, website and email in one login. More on that below.
How do Everfit and TrueCoach compare side by side?
Everfit is the broader app and scales further; TrueCoach is the narrower programming tool with stronger wearable and MyFitnessPal support on paper. The table ranks all three on four things coaches feel every month: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort (including Coachful's free white-glove build).
| Tool | Best for | Starting price | Booking | Payments | Courses, community, website |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who deliver programs and want the whole business in one login | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Included, with two-way calendar sync and video links | Your own Stripe or Razorpay, 0% platform fee | All included in the membership |
| Everfit | Fitness coaches who want a free start and room to scale | Free for up to 5 clients; Pro from $19/month | Pro and above | Payments & Packages add-on, from $9/month | Community forums on Pro; no courses, website or email marketing |
| TrueCoach | Strength coaches who mainly write and track programs | $26.34/month (displayed annual rate) | Not on the pricing page feature list | Automated Stripe payments; US, UK, Canada and Australia only (September 2026 profile) | None listed |

If you want deeper single-vendor detail, our Everfit review and TrueCoach review go tier by tier.
How much do Everfit and TrueCoach cost in October 2026?
Everfit is cheaper at low client counts and free at 5 clients, while TrueCoach costs more per tier but has fewer add-ons to buy. Both price by how many clients you coach, so your roster size decides the bill.
Everfit shows two figures on each tier. The lower one is presented as the annual-billing rate, though the page does not label it explicitly. TrueCoach's page shows a single price per tier with "1-2 MONTHS FREE" badges; those match the annual-billing rates in our September 2026 profile, and billed-monthly prices were not visible on the page in October 2026. That profile recorded monthly rates of $29.98, $69.98 and $164.98.
| Tool and tier | Client limit | Billed monthly | Billed annually (per month) | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lower plans cap clients; Pro is unlimited | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Booking, payments, contracts, programs, check-ins, courses, community, website, email and AI assistant on every plan |
| Everfit Starter | Up to 5 clients | $0 | $0 | Exercise library, workout builder, metrics and progress photos, tasks, inbox messaging, client and coach apps |
| Everfit Pro | From 5 clients; scales to 300 | From $19 | From $16 | Booking and scheduling, habit coaching, forms, food journal and macros, basic meal plans, advanced program builder, AI Smart Response, custom branding, community forums, team members |
| Everfit Studio | From 50 clients; scales to 500 | From $105 | From $88 | Group chat, broadcast messages, training asset uploads, on-demand training portal |
| Everfit Enterprise | 500+ clients | Contact sales | Contact sales | White-label options, API integrations, Apple and Google developer support, 24/7 support, customer success manager |
| TrueCoach Starter | Up to 5 active clients | $29.98 (September 2026 profile) | $26.34 | Program and workout builder, client tracker, MyFitnessPal nutrition and habit tracking, client dashboard, 3,000+ exercise videos, messaging, automated payments |
| TrueCoach Standard | Up to 20 active clients | $69.98 (September 2026 profile) | $57.99 | Public coach profile, wearables, custom-branded app, advanced habit and nutrition tracking, Zapier |
| TrueCoach Pro | Up to 50 active clients | $164.98 (September 2026 profile) | $136.99 | Same features as Standard |
| TrueCoach Custom | 50+ clients (its FAQ says 250+) | Contact sales | Contact sales | Quoted on request |

Everfit's add-ons change the real price
Everfit's headline price is low, but several things coaches expect are separate purchases. As listed in October 2026:
- Autoflow automation: from $29/month ($24 shown as the alternate rate) for the first 30 active clients, then tiered.
- Payments & Packages: from $9/month ($8).
- Meal Plans & Recipe Books: from $39/month ($33).
- On-Demand Collections: from $25/month ($21), included in Studio.
TrueCoach lists one optional extra, a NASM CEU Library discount of up to 33% with no price shown. Its automated payments, MyFitnessPal tracking and video library sit inside the base tiers.
What does each one cost at 5, 20, 50 and 100 clients?
The example below adds Everfit's three most-used add-ons (Autoflow, Payments & Packages, Meal Plans) at their starting prices, billed monthly. Add-ons can cost more as your client count grows, so treat the Everfit column as a floor. TrueCoach figures are billed-monthly rates from our September 2026 profile, with the October 2026 displayed annual rate in brackets.
| Tool | 5 clients | 20 clients | 50 clients | 100 clients |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients |
| Everfit Pro, no add-ons | $19 | $49 | $95 | $140 |
| Everfit Pro plus three add-ons (example) | From $96 | From $126 | From $172 | From $217 |
| TrueCoach | $29.98 ($26.34) | $69.98 ($57.99) | $164.98 ($136.99) | Custom quote |
Two things this table does not show. First, TrueCoach has no booking on its feature list, so a TrueCoach coach usually pays for a separate scheduler too. Second, neither app has a website, course builder, contracts or email marketing, so many coaches add separate subscriptions for those. That stack cost is the number to compare, not the headline tier. Our Everfit pricing breakdown and TrueCoach pricing breakdown walk through every tier in more detail.
Which has the better workout builder and exercise library?
TrueCoach has the clearer edge on exercise video volume, while Everfit gives you more program-building structure once you pay for Pro. Both are built for training coaches first.
TrueCoach's Starter tier lists a program and workout builder, a client tracker and more than 3,000 exercise videos. For a strength coach who writes blocks and wants every movement demonstrated without filming anything, that library saves real time.
Everfit's free Starter includes an exercise library and a workout builder. Pro adds what Everfit calls an advanced program builder, plus forms and AI Smart Response. Studio adds training asset uploads and an on-demand training portal, which suits coaches who sell a library of follow-along workouts alongside 1:1 programs.
If your work is mostly program design, this is the section that matters most. If program design is one part of a broader coaching offer, read on.

Which handles nutrition and habits better?
Everfit does more inside its own app, while TrueCoach leans on MyFitnessPal. The difference is whether your clients already log food elsewhere.
TrueCoach lists MyFitnessPal nutrition and habit tracking from Starter, and "advanced habit and nutrition tracking" from Standard. If a client already logs meals in MyFitnessPal, that is one less app for them to learn.
Everfit Pro adds habit coaching, a food journal with macros and basic meal plans. Full meal plans and recipe books are the $39/month add-on listed above. That makes Everfit the stronger in-app option for coaches who set targets and build plans, provided you budget for the add-on.
A scope note for both: coaching is not treatment. Calorie targets, macros and habit work are coaching tools. A client with a medical condition, a history of disordered eating or a question about medication belongs with a physician or a registered dietitian, and your intake form should ask enough to spot that early. If you work across fitness and wellbeing, our page for health coaches covers how to set those boundaries inside a program.
Can either one take bookings, payments and contracts?
Everfit can take bookings on Pro and payments through an add-on; TrueCoach takes payments but lists no booking. Neither one handles coaching agreements.
Booking and scheduling
Everfit Pro includes booking and scheduling. TrueCoach's pricing page does not list scheduling or booking, and our September 2026 profile records no video calls either. If you run check-in calls, a TrueCoach setup usually means a separate booking tool and a separate video link.
Payments
TrueCoach includes automated payments through Stripe on every tier and says it adds no extra fees beyond Stripe's own. Our September 2026 profile notes that in-app payments are limited to coaches in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, so coaches elsewhere should confirm before committing. Everfit's pricing page does not name a payment processor or transaction fees; payments sit in the Payments & Packages add-on, from $9/month.
Contracts and intake
Neither vendor lists e-signed coaching agreements. Everfit Pro has forms, which can cover intake questions. For a coach who wants a signed agreement before the first session, both apps need another tool. Our guide to coaching contracts explains what a basic agreement covers.
How do automation, check-ins and messaging compare?
Everfit has more automation and group messaging, but most of it costs extra or sits on Studio; TrueCoach keeps messaging simple. Between-session contact is where clients decide whether the program is working, so this is worth weighing carefully.
- Everfit: inbox messaging on every plan, tasks on Starter, AI Smart Response and community forums on Pro, group chat and broadcast messages on Studio. Automated sequences come from the Autoflow add-on.
- TrueCoach: messaging on every tier, a client tracker and a client dashboard, and Zapier from Standard for connecting other tools. No group chat, community or broadcasts are listed.
Neither app lists morning and evening check-ins, streaks or a client status view that flags who is drifting. Those are the features that keep a 12-week program from going quiet in week five, and they are where a coaching platform differs from a training log.
What do clients see in each app?
Both give clients a mobile app with their workouts; the differences are branding and wearables. Everfit puts custom branding on Pro and true white-label app store listings on Enterprise, while TrueCoach puts its custom-branded app and wearables on Standard.
- Branding: Everfit Pro includes custom branding. A white-label app under your own developer account, with Apple and Google developer support, is listed on Enterprise (500+ clients). TrueCoach lists a custom-branded app from Standard.
- Wearables: TrueCoach Standard lists wearables. Wearables do not appear in the Everfit tier features we recorded.
- Progress tracking: Everfit includes metrics and progress photos on its free Starter. TrueCoach includes a client dashboard and tracker.
- Public profile: TrueCoach Standard adds a public coach profile, a simple page prospects can find. Neither offers a full website.
For clients, the bigger question is how many apps they juggle. With either tool, clients sign any agreement somewhere else, and with TrueCoach they usually book somewhere else too, then train in the app. That is fine for a pure training client. It gets messy when you add group calls, a course or a community.
What do reviewers and the fine print say?
Both have small, below-average Trustpilot scores, so treat ratings as a weak signal. The fine print on trials, guarantees and data export matters more.
| Tool | Trustpilot (seen 25 October 2026) | Free trial | Free plan | Data export |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | 4.5 from 21 reviews | A free trial | No permanent free plan | Full client data ZIP: roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses |
| Everfit | 2.7 from 16 reviews | 30 days, no contract, no card | Yes, up to 5 clients | Not documented on the pages we checked |
| TrueCoach | 2.4 from 19 reviews | 14 days, no card; 90-day money-back guarantee for first-time annual subscribers (restrictions apply) | No | No coach-side export documented (September 2026 profile) |
All three review bases are small, so a handful of reviews can swing the average. Export matters more than it looks: if you ever leave, you want your client history, not just a list of names. Ask either vendor's support team what an export includes before you load a full roster.
Which should you pick for your kind of coaching?
Pick TrueCoach for focused strength programming with a ready-made video library, and Everfit for a free start or a large, growing roster. Pick neither if training is only part of what you sell.
Choose Everfit if
- You have 5 or fewer clients and want to pay nothing while you test online coaching.
- You want booking, habits, macros and forms in the training app, and accept add-ons for automation and payments.
- You are heading toward 100 to 500 clients with a team, where Pro and Studio scale by count.
- You sell on-demand workout libraries through Studio's training portal.
Choose TrueCoach if
- You write strength programs and want 3,000+ demo videos without filming your own.
- Your clients already use MyFitnessPal or wearables, and you will pay for Standard.
- You bank in the US, UK, Canada or Australia and want built-in Stripe payments without an add-on.
- You stay under 50 active clients and prefer a short feature list.
Choose a coaching platform if
- You sell programs with check-ins, group calls or a community, not just workouts.
- You want booking, payments, contracts and a website without four extra subscriptions.
- You coach fitness alongside nutrition, mindset or lifestyle change and need habits, goals and check-ins in one place.

Is there a third option that beats both?
Yes, for coaches who run a business around their training: Coachful covers the client journey from first booking to final check-in in one login, with a Fitness & Nutrition pack for workouts and macros. It does not beat TrueCoach on stock exercise videos or wearables, and it does not match Everfit's free plan.

What Coachful is and who it is for
Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and the client has one branded app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.
Training and nutrition, side by side with the two apps
The Fitness & Nutrition pack is included in your Coachful membership. It adds a workout builder with an exercise library of illustrated exercises (supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals and tempo), client workout logging with set history and PRs, nutrition targets down to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins, private form-check video with timestamped coach comments, and challenges. Coaches attach their own demo videos to exercises.
Around that sit the coaching layers neither app has: multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Every client record shows goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you can see who needs a message before they cancel.

Here is a short walkthrough of how a program is built and delivered in Coachful:
The business tools both apps leave out
- Booking: booking pages with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links; email reminders, plus SMS and WhatsApp once messaging is enabled. See scheduling software.
- Payments: your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.
- Agreements: coaching agreements with e-signature sent before the first call and stored on the client record.
- Delivery: courses with drip and completion tracking, downloads, videos, a community feed, group chat, video events, and cohort groups created automatically when a client enrolls in a program. See group coaching software.
- Marketing: a section-based website builder with blog and custom domain, 30 designed homepage templates, booking and checkout funnels, and email broadcasts and sequences. See the coach website builder.
- AI: Michelle, the built-in assistant, works from your live practice data to draft programs and emails, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before each call. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

What the free white-glove build covers
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. Neither Everfit nor TrueCoach will set up your business for you. In Coachful, you open Create > We'll build it for you · FREE, describe what you want (a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, form or automation), attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Your clients, programs and content are also imported for you during onboarding. Read more about the free white-glove service.

One recent example, anonymized: a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails built for them. For a fitness coach coming from a training-only app, the same request might be a program sales page and a free 7-day workout funnel.
When Coachful does not beat Everfit or TrueCoach
- Stock exercise videos: Coachful has illustrated exercises and lets you attach your own demos, but no stock video library. TrueCoach's 3,000+ videos win here.
- Wearables: Coachful has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly. TrueCoach Standard lists wearables.
- A permanent free plan: Coachful has a free trial but no free tier. Everfit's Starter is free for up to 5 clients.
- Your own App Store listing: Coachful's client app carries your branding inside the Coachful app, not under your own developer account. Everfit Enterprise offers white-label listings.
- PayPal and clinical work: Coachful does not support PayPal and is not HIPAA-certified, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
How to start
Start a free trial, then request your first free white-glove build, such as a program or a homepage, and ask for your existing clients and programs to be imported. Monthly plans cancel in one click. For a broader view of the category, see our coaching software overview, the comparison hub, or the page for fitness coaches.
How do you switch from Everfit or TrueCoach without losing clients?
Move in a quiet week, keep the old app running for one billing cycle, and move clients in small groups. The order below works for either app.
- Export what you can first. Neither vendor documents a full coach-side export on the pages we checked, so ask support what you can download, and save program templates, client notes and progress photos manually if needed.
- Rebuild your top three programs. Start with the programs most clients are on, not the whole library.
- Move payments last. Do not cancel live subscriptions in the old tool until each client's new billing is set up and confirmed.
- Tell clients what changes for them. One short message: the new app name, what to download, and the date the old app stops.
- Cancel after one clean cycle. When every client has logged a workout and paid in the new tool, close the old account.
In Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, which removes most of steps 1 and 2.
Frequently asked questions
Is Everfit or TrueCoach cheaper?
Everfit is cheaper on headline price: it is free for up to 5 clients and Pro starts at $19/month billed monthly, against TrueCoach's $26.34/month displayed annual rate. Once you add Everfit's automation, payments and meal plan add-ons, the gap narrows or reverses at low client counts. Compare the full cost at your roster size, not the starting tier.
Does TrueCoach have a free plan?
No. TrueCoach offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and an unconditional 90-day money-back guarantee for first-time annual subscribers, with restrictions. Everfit is the one with a permanent free plan, capped at 5 clients.
Which app has more exercise videos?
TrueCoach lists more than 3,000 exercise videos from its Starter tier. Everfit includes an exercise library on every plan but does not publish a count on its pricing page. If you do not want to film your own demos, TrueCoach has the clearer advantage.
Can I take bookings in TrueCoach?
Booking and scheduling are not on TrueCoach's pricing page feature list, so most TrueCoach coaches use a separate scheduler. Everfit includes booking and scheduling from Pro. Coachful includes booking pages with two-way calendar sync and video links on every plan.
Does Everfit charge transaction fees?
Everfit's pricing page does not show transaction fees or name a payment processor. Payments come through the Payments & Packages add-on, listed from $9/month in October 2026. Ask Everfit directly what processing fees apply in your country before you rely on it for billing.
Which is better for nutrition coaching?
Everfit does more in-app: Pro adds a food journal, macros and basic meal plans, and the Meal Plans & Recipe Books add-on goes further. TrueCoach relies on MyFitnessPal integration, which suits clients who already log food there. Either way, coaching is not treatment; refer clients with medical conditions or disordered eating to a physician or registered dietitian.
Do Everfit and TrueCoach work for life or health coaches?
They can track habits, but both are built around workouts and offer no contracts, courses or website. Coaches whose work is mostly mindset, lifestyle or accountability usually find a coaching platform a better fit. Coachful's programs, check-ins and habits work for any niche, with the Fitness & Nutrition pack added for training clients.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a done-for-you build included on every Coachful plan. You describe what you need, such as a website, funnel, program, course outline or email sequence, attach links and files, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not cover video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.
Can Coachful sync with wearables like TrueCoach?
No. Coachful has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly. If wearable data drives your coaching, TrueCoach Standard is the better fit on that point alone.
Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not suited to clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. It is GDPR-ready and offers a full client data export as a ZIP file.
