Trainerize vs HubFit (2026): Pricing, Features, Which to Pick

Trainerize vs HubFit (2026): Pricing, Features, Which to Pick

Trainerize vs HubFit comes down to roster size and how much you want bundled. Trainerize (sold as ABC Trainerize) is the better fit if you want a free one-client plan, a 30-day trial and the option to bolt on scheduling, payments and video calls as paid add-ons, or if you run a multi-location studio. HubFit is the better fit for an online trainer with 15 to 100 clients who wants training, nutrition, habits and check-ins at one flat price, since its Standard plan covers up to 50 clients. Neither one runs the rest of the business: booking, contracts, courses, a website and email all live somewhere else.

This guide compares both on the prices each vendor lists in October 2026, what each plan actually unlocks, what clients see, and which coach each suits. We make Coachful, a coaching platform that covers the whole client journey in one login, so we also explain when it beats both and when it does not. Every vendor figure below comes from the vendors' own pricing pages or public review sites; we do not claim hands-on testing.

What is the short answer by use case?

If you coach one or two clients on the side, Trainerize wins because it has a permanent free plan and a cheap Grow tier. If you coach 15 to 100 clients online and mostly need programming, nutrition and check-ins, HubFit usually costs less and includes more on its base plan.

  • Hobby or first client: Trainerize Basic is free for 1 client; Grow is $10/month for 2 clients ($9/month billed annually). HubFit has no free plan.
  • 5 clients: Trainerize Pro 5 is $25/month ($23 annual). HubFit Standard is $39/month ($33 annual), but that same plan covers you up to 50 clients.
  • 15 to 50 clients: HubFit Standard stays at $39/month. Trainerize Pro tiers above 5 clients are no longer printed on the pricing page; our September 2026 profile listed Pro 15 at $50 and Pro 50 at $135 a month.
  • You need in-app payments: Trainerize charges $10/month for Stripe Integrated Payments. HubFit puts payments on Premium ($69/month) and above.
  • You need booking or video calls: Trainerize sells them as add-ons. HubFit did not offer scheduling or video calls in our September 2026 profile, so you add another tool.
  • Gym or studio with 500+ members or several locations: Trainerize Studio Plus, which includes every add-on and a studio-level branded app.
  • You coach programs and want booking, payments, contracts, courses, community, website and email under one login: neither. That is the gap all-in-one coaching software fills.

If you want the long version of either tool on its own, read our Trainerize review and HubFit review.

How do Trainerize and HubFit compare side by side?

Both are fitness coaching apps priced by client count, with workouts, nutrition tracking, habits and messaging at their core. The differences are in what sits on the base plan versus behind an add-on, and in public review scores.

The review gap is the starkest number here. HubFit sat at 5.0 from 390 Trustpilot reviews when we looked on 25 October 2026, while Trainerize sat at 3.1 from 100. Review scores reflect who chooses to post, so treat them as a signal to read the reviews, not a verdict.

What do Trainerize and HubFit cost in October 2026?

Trainerize is cheaper at 1 to 5 clients; HubFit is cheaper from about 15 clients up, because one $39 Standard plan covers up to 50. The prices below are as listed on each vendor's pricing page in October 2026, in US dollars, with the annual-billing monthly equivalent in brackets.

Two cautions on Trainerize. First, its pricing page contradicts itself in October 2026: the plan cards show $9, $23 and $248, which match the stated 10% annual discount, while the FAQ says Grow "starts at $10", Pro "starts at $25" and Studio Plus "starts at $275 for up to 500 members". We read the lower numbers as annual billing. Second, Pro prices above 5 clients have disappeared from the page; the comparison table only mentions "Small business $79/month". Ask Trainerize for a written quote at your roster size before you commit. Our Trainerize pricing breakdown tracks those tiers in more detail.

HubFit's ladder is simpler. Standard covers up to 50 clients, Premium up to 100, and Ultimate starts at 100 clients for $119 a month, then climbs: 200 clients for $209 ($174 annual), 300 for $289 ($241), 400 for $359 ($299) and 500 for $419 ($349). Note that Premium and Ultimate both list 100 clients at the bottom, so you move to Ultimate for its features (team members, group chats, community forums, broadcasts, Zapier), not for capacity. The full ladder is in our HubFit pricing guide.

Which add-ons change the real cost?

Trainerize's sticker price rarely matches what a working coach pays, because scheduling, payments, video and advanced nutrition are separate monthly add-ons below Studio Plus. HubFit has one add-on that matters: the branded app.

Trainerize also lists FitMetrics from $6 per client. During the 30-day trial, add-ons are not included, so you cannot test the paid scheduling or payments features until you pay.

A worked example at 15 clients

Here is an illustrative stack for a coach with 15 online clients who takes payment in the app, books calls with clients and runs one video check-in a week. These are example figures built from the vendors' listed prices, not quotes.

ToolBase planAdd-ons or extra toolsExample monthly total
CoachfulSolo: $49/month for up to 20 clientsNone for booking, payments or video; Stripe or Razorpay processing onlySolo: $49/month for up to 20 clients
TrainerizePro 15: $50 (September 2026 profile)Business $25 + Stripe Integrated Payments $10 + Video Coaching $10About $95, before Stripe processing; $115 with Advanced Nutrition
HubFitPremium: $69 ($57 annual), needed for paymentsA separate booking tool and a video tool$69 plus whatever your booking and video tools cost

Neither total includes a website, email marketing or a course platform. If you sell a program from a sales page and nurture leads by email, add those subscriptions on top. That stack cost is the main reason coaches look at Trainerize alternatives and HubFit alternatives.

Which has better workout programming?

Both cover the essentials of building programs and delivering workouts to a client's phone. Trainerize leans on an AI Workout Builder from Grow and custom exercise videos from Pro; HubFit adds a dedicated Workout Studio on Ultimate and meal and workout AI on Premium.

Trainerize puts workouts in the mobile app on every plan, including the free Basic plan. Grow adds the AI Workout Builder and custom programs, and Pro adds custom exercise videos, so you can film your own demonstrations. For a coach who wants to try programming one client at no cost, that is a genuine advantage.

HubFit includes training programs on Standard. Premium adds meal and workout AI, and Ultimate adds what HubFit calls the Workout Studio. Because Standard already covers up to 50 clients, most HubFit coaches get full programming at the lowest tier and only climb for branding, payments or team features.

Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack covers the same ground with a workout builder and an exercise library of illustrated exercises, with supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals and tempo, plus client workout logging with set history and PRs. Clients can upload private form-check videos and get timestamped coach comments. Coachful does not ship stock exercise videos; you attach your own demos. If a pre-filmed video library matters to you, check what each vendor's library actually contains before you switch.

Wearables are where both specialists beat Coachful outright. Trainerize lists app and wearable integrations from Grow, and HubFit lists wearable sync on Standard. Coachful has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly. If you coach endurance athletes who live in their watch data, that alone may decide it. For the wider field, see how Everfit compares with Trainerize and how TrueCoach compares with Trainerize.

Which is better for nutrition coaching?

HubFit gives you more nutrition on its base plan: nutrition and macros on Standard, then a smart meal planner and recipe books on Premium. Trainerize includes meal and macro tracking from Grow, but its Advanced Nutrition Coaching is a separate add-on at $20 or $45 a month depending on your tier.

On Trainerize, the add-on price jumps once you pass Pro 15: $20 a month on Grow, Pro 5 and Pro 15, and $45 a month on Pro 30 through Pro 200. Recipes and meals are listed as part of Studio Plus. If nutrition is half of what you sell, that add-on becomes a fixed part of your Trainerize bill.

HubFit's approach suits coaches who sell macro coaching with weekly check-ins. You get macro targets and habit coaching at the lowest price point, and Premium's meal planner and recipe books cover clients who want to be told what to eat.

In Coachful, nutrition targets go up to calories and macros, with meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, and weekly check-ins. Our guide to Trainerize alternatives for nutrition coaches goes deeper on this use case.

Whichever tool you choose, keep coaching inside its scope. Fitness and nutrition coaching is not medical treatment, diagnosis or medical nutrition therapy. If a client has a diagnosed condition, takes medication that affects diet, shows signs of disordered eating, is pregnant, or reports pain or an injury, refer them to their doctor, a registered dietitian or a physiotherapist and coach alongside that care, not instead of it.

How do check-ins, habits and automation compare?

HubFit includes check-ins, habit coaching and onboarding flows on Standard, with automated "autoflow" events from Premium. Trainerize includes habit and lifestyle coaching on every plan and adds welcome emails, consultation forms and challenges on Pro.

For a coach who runs a weekly check-in rhythm, HubFit's Standard plan is the more complete starting point. Autoflow events on Premium and autoflow templates on Ultimate let you schedule messages and tasks around a client's start date. HubFit Standard also lists MCP access, the protocol AI assistants use to connect to other software.

Trainerize's habit coaching on the free plan is a nice touch, and Pro's challenges and consultation forms help with onboarding and group engagement. HubFit puts group challenges on Premium.

Coachful approaches this from the program side. A multi-week program carries weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, and morning and evening check-ins, with goals shown as progress bars and streaks on the client's side. Coaching flows let you build welcome sequences and daily or weekly check-ins once and reuse them, and the client record flags each person as thriving, active, quiet or at risk so you know who needs a message.

Coachful also includes Michelle, a built-in AI assistant that works from your live practice data. It can build programs, draft emails, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before a call. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. There is also an AI Coach, an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions, which you configure yourself.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Which handles payments, scheduling and selling better?

Trainerize covers more of the business, but only if you pay for its add-ons; HubFit covers payments from Premium and leaves scheduling and video calls to other tools. Neither builds a website or runs email campaigns.

On Trainerize, the Business add-on ($25 a month) brings scheduling, referrals, product sales and premium content. Stripe Integrated Payments is another $10 a month, and Video Coaching another $10 for 50 hours of calls and 100 hours of streaming. Studio Plus bundles all of these, plus group video calls, referral links and prospect booking, onboarding and an API.

On HubFit, payments and packages arrive on Premium through Stripe. HubFit lists no transaction fee of its own, so you pay Stripe processing only. In our September 2026 profile, HubFit had no scheduling or booking, no video calls, no contracts and no website. Team members and Zapier come with Ultimate, and Zapier is one possible way to connect an outside booking tool.

Coachful includes booking, payments and contracts in one place. Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Reminders go out by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp 1 hour before once messaging is enabled. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax. Coachful's platform fee has been 0% since August 2026, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements go out for e-signature before the first call and are stored on the client record. More on each: scheduling, payments and coaching contracts.

One limit to know: Coachful does not support PayPal. If your clients pay by PayPal today, plan that move before you switch.

Can you put your own brand on the client app?

Yes on both, at very different prices. Trainerize lists its Custom Branded App on Pro at $169 as a one-time setup, while HubFit's Branded App is a $189 monthly add-on with no setup fee, live in 7 to 10 days.

Over a year, that gap is large. HubFit's branded app comes to $2,268 a year on top of your plan. Trainerize's pricing page shows the $169 setup on Pro; ask whether any ongoing charge applies at your tier, since our September 2026 profile listed it among the monthly add-ons. Studio Plus includes a studio-level branded app. HubFit also puts custom branding inside its own app on Premium, which is enough for many coaches who do not need a separate store listing.

Coachful takes a third route. Your client app is your branding inside the Coachful app, not a listing under your own App Store account. For most solo coaches, clients care that the colours, logo and content are yours; if a listing under your own name in the store is a must, Trainerize or HubFit's paid branded apps do something Coachful does not.

What is the client experience like on each?

On Trainerize and HubFit, clients get a mobile app focused on today's workout, meals, habits and messages. HubFit is free for clients. The experience is strong for training and narrow for everything else: if you also sell a course or run a group, clients log in somewhere else.

That split matters more than it looks. A client who pays on one page, books on another, watches a course on a third and logs workouts in the app has four passwords and four places to drop off.

In Coachful, the client opens one branded home. Their next session, pre-session tasks, program week, habits, goals, check-ins, courses, downloads, community feed and group chat sit in the same place, and cohort groups are created automatically when someone enrolls in a program.

Data portability is the other client-side question, because your client history is your business. Our September 2026 profile found Trainerize's client export excludes messages, photos and attachments. HubFit's export is not documented on the pages we checked. Coachful exports full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses) plus courses.

Which should you pick for your coaching business?

Pick by what you sell, not just by roster size. Here is how we would decide.

Pick Trainerize if...

  • You are starting with one or two clients and want a free plan or a $10 Grow plan.
  • You want a 30-day trial with unlimited clients and no card.
  • You run a studio or gym with several locations and want Studio Plus with every add-on and a studio-level branded app.
  • You want a branded app for a one-time setup fee rather than a monthly charge.

Pick it over Coachful if you need wearable data in the app, a listing in the App Store under your own brand, or a free plan to coach one client indefinitely.

Pick HubFit if...

  • You coach 15 to 50 online clients and want programs, nutrition, habits and check-ins for $39 a month.
  • You care about public reviews; 5.0 from 390 Trustpilot reviews is an unusually strong signal.
  • You do not need booking or video calls inside the app, or you are happy to connect them through Zapier on Ultimate.
  • You want meal planning and recipe books without a separate nutrition add-on.

Pick it over Coachful if you only deliver training and macros, already have a website and email tool you like, and want wearable sync.

Pick neither if...

You sell a program, not just a training plan. If clients find you through a website, apply or book a call, sign an agreement, pay, join a group and work through weekly modules, a fitness app covers one slice of that. You will pay for, and maintain, the rest. That is where a coaching platform earns its place. Coaches comparing more broadly can browse our comparison hub.

Coachful's client dashboard with demo clients and status tags, next to a demo goal's Daily momentum page.

Is there a third option that replaces both?

Yes, if you want one tool for the whole client journey rather than a training app plus five other subscriptions. Coachful is a coaching platform: one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients.

It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; for solo coaches growing into a small team; and for coaches replacing four to six tools. For fitness specifically, the Fitness & Nutrition pack adds the workout builder, exercise library, workout logging with PRs, nutrition targets, meal plans, recipes, barcode scanning, progress photos, measurements, form-check video and challenges. Our page for fitness coaches shows how it fits together.

Here is a short walkthrough of how a program is built and delivered in Coachful:

Coachful client Programs view with an enrolled group program
The demo Programs view in Coachful's client app, showing an enrolled group program, its current week and members.

Where Coachful beats both

  • One login for the whole journey. Website, funnels, booking, contracts, payments, programs, courses, community and email live in one account, so a lead becomes a paying client without crossing tools.
  • Between-session delivery. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins and streaks, plus cohort groups created on enrollment.
  • Total stack cost. Booking, payments, video and email are included in your Coachful membership rather than sold as add-ons, and the platform fee is 0%. Current plans: (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).
  • Selling and marketing. A section-based website builder with 30 designed homepage templates, booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking, a link-in-bio page that sells, and email sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. See the coach website builder and course platform.
  • Growing into a team. Studio and Agency plans add coach seats, per-coach availability and staff permissions, with round-robin or least-busy assignment on shared session types.
  • ICF hours. If you also hold or are working toward an ICF credential, Coachful counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports a client coaching log.

Where Coachful does not beat them

  • No Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly. Trainerize and HubFit both list wearable integrations.
  • No stock exercise videos; you attach your own demos.
  • The client app carries your branding inside the Coachful app, not a listing under your own App Store account.
  • No permanent no-cost plan, so it is not the right home for coaching one client as a hobby. Trainerize Basic is.
  • No PayPal. Not HIPAA-certified and no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
  • Not built for gyms with hundreds of members across locations; Trainerize Studio Plus is aimed at exactly that.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, the "We'll build it for you" option lets you describe what you want built, such as a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline with written material, an email sequence, a form or a link-in-bio page. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and existing copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Recent anonymized builds include a five-page site in sage and cream for a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing, with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation, and a year-long cohort program with an application form, an eight-page site and a nine-day bootcamp funnel for a real-estate and money coach. Frequently asked questions

Is Trainerize or HubFit cheaper?

Trainerize is cheaper for 1 to 5 clients: it has a free 1-client plan, Grow at $10 a month and Pro 5 at $25. HubFit is cheaper from roughly 15 clients up, because Standard costs $39 a month for up to 50 clients. Once you add Trainerize's payments, scheduling and video add-ons, the gap widens in HubFit's favour, as listed in October 2026.

Does HubFit have a free plan?

No. HubFit offers a 14-day free trial on every plan and is free for your clients, but there is no permanent free coach plan. Trainerize's Basic plan is free for one client.

Does HubFit have scheduling or video calls?

Not in our September 2026 profile, which found no scheduling, booking, video calls, contracts or website. HubFit's Ultimate plan includes Zapier, which you could use to connect an outside booking tool. Trainerize sells scheduling and video calls as add-ons.

Which is better for nutrition coaches?

HubFit includes nutrition and macros on its base plan and adds a smart meal planner and recipe books on Premium. Trainerize includes meal and macro tracking from Grow but charges $20 or $45 a month for Advanced Nutrition Coaching. Either way, refer clients with medical conditions or signs of disordered eating to a doctor or registered dietitian.

Can I get my own branded app on Trainerize or HubFit?

Yes. Trainerize lists a Custom Branded App on Pro for a $169 one-time setup, and Studio Plus includes a studio-level branded app. HubFit's Branded App is a $189 monthly add-on with no setup fee and a 7 to 10 day launch.

Can I move my clients from Trainerize or HubFit to another platform?

You can export client data, but check what comes with it. Our September 2026 profile found Trainerize's export leaves out messages, photos and attachments, and HubFit does not document its export on the pages we checked. Save anything you need before cancelling.

Does Coachful sync with wearables like Garmin or Apple Health?

No. Coachful has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly. If wearable data is central to your coaching, Trainerize or HubFit will serve you better on that point.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a build service included on every plan. You describe a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or similar, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.

Can Coachful replace Trainerize or HubFit for a fitness coach?

For many online fitness coaches, yes: the Fitness & Nutrition pack covers workouts, logging, PRs, macros, meal plans, progress photos and form-check video, and the rest of Coachful covers booking, payments, courses, community and marketing. It is not the better choice if you need wearable sync, stock exercise videos or your own App Store listing.
