ClickFunnels vs Teachable for Coaches: 2026 Verdict

Choosing between clickfunnels vs teachable comes down to one question: is your bottleneck selling or teaching? ClickFunnels is a funnel and sales-page builder that also hosts courses, a community and appointments. Teachable is a course platform that also handles checkout, upsells and student apps. Neither one was built to run 1:1 or group coaching between sessions, which is where most coaches actually spend their week. This guide compares both on price, fees, features and client experience as listed in October 2026, then shows when a third option, Coachful, beats both and when it does not.
We make Coachful, so read our recommendation with that in mind. Every ClickFunnels and Teachable figure below comes from the vendors' own pricing pages as listed in October 2026, and nothing here claims hands-on testing: we report what each vendor documents and what public reviewers say.
What is the short answer for each type of coach?
If you mainly need to sell, pick ClickFunnels; if you mainly need to teach recorded material, pick Teachable; if you coach clients through programs and want one login for the whole journey, pick Coachful. Here is the short version by use case.
- You run paid ads or webinars into a high-ticket call: ClickFunnels is the stronger of the two. Its whole product is built around funnel pages, opt-ins and checkout, and its entry plan includes 10,000 contacts and 50,000 emails a month.
- You sell a self-paced course to a large audience: Teachable is the stronger of the two. It lists unlimited students on self-serve plans, iOS and Android student apps, and up to 1TB of video on Starter.
- You sell coaching packages, group programs and a course on the side: neither is a natural fit. ClickFunnels has no client habits, check-ins or structured 1:1 programs, and Teachable has no native scheduling or calendar sync. Coachful covers booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, funnels and email in one subscription.
- You have a tight budget and few clients: Teachable Starter is the cheapest entry at $39 a month ($29 billed annually), but it takes a 7.5% transaction fee on every sale.
- You want the lowest total cost for a coaching practice: Coachful's cheapest plan (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients) has no platform fee on sales and replaces separate booking, contract and client-tracking tools.
Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort (including a free white-glove build).
| Tool | Rank | Best for | Entry price | Biggest gap for coaches |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | 1 | Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, and want booking, payments, courses, funnels and the client app in one place | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | No PayPal, not HIPAA-certified, not a course marketplace |
| ClickFunnels | 2 | Coaches whose growth depends on funnels, ads and webinars | $97/mo ($81/mo annual) | No habits, check-ins or structured 1:1 coaching programs |
| Teachable | 3 | Coaches selling self-paced courses and digital products | $39/mo ($29/mo annual) | No native scheduling; 7.5% fee on Starter |

How do ClickFunnels and Teachable compare side by side?
ClickFunnels is a marketing system with teaching tools attached; Teachable is a teaching system with selling tools attached. The table below lines them up on the features coaches ask about most.

| Feature | Coachful | ClickFunnels | Teachable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Core focus: coaching delivery, one login for coach and one branded app for client | Core focus: funnels and sales | Core focus: courses and digital products |
| Funnels and sales pages | Booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels; about 25 funnel templates | Core product; unlimited funnels on Launch (marked "Limited Time") | Sales pages, upsells and cart recovery |
| Courses | Modules, lessons, drip, completion tracking; 48 course templates with quizzes | 3 courses on Launch, 6 on Scale | 5 products on Starter, 10 on Builder, 50 on Growth |
| 1:1 scheduling | Booking pages, two-way Google, Apple and Outlook sync, built-in video or Zoom, Meet, Teams links | Appointments app included | No native scheduling; coaching calls rely on Calendly or Zoom |
| Habits and check-ins | Daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, streaks | Not offered | Not offered |
| Contracts | Coaching agreements with e-signature on the client record | Not listed | Not listed |
| Community | Feed, group chat, DMs, video events, auto cohort groups | 3 communities on Launch | Not listed on the pricing page |
| Email marketing | Lists, broadcasts, multi-step sequences with branching and A/B splits | 50K emails/mo on Launch | Not listed on the pricing page |
| Mobile app for clients | Coach's branding inside the Coachful app | Not listed on the pricing page | iOS and Android student apps on every plan |
| Platform fee on sales | 0% | 0% | 7.5% on Starter, 0% above |
| PayPal | No | Yes (older profile) | Yes |
| Trustpilot (October 2026) | 4.5 from 21 reviews | 4.7 from 2,512 reviews | 3.3 from 1,110 reviews |
Two things stand out. First, ClickFunnels and Teachable overlap less than their marketing suggests: one is strong at the top of the funnel, the other at content delivery. Second, the column that matters most to a working coach, what happens between sessions, is empty for both.

How much do ClickFunnels and Teachable cost in 2026?
Teachable is far cheaper to start ($39 a month versus $97), but ClickFunnels charges no platform fee on any plan, while Teachable Starter takes 7.5% of every sale. Here is every self-serve plan as listed in October 2026.
| Tool and plan | Monthly | Billed annually (per month) | Main limits | Platform fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Flat monthly plans; cancel monthly plans in one click | Lower plans cap clients; Pro is unlimited (Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients) | 0% (Stripe or Razorpay processing only) |
| ClickFunnels Launch | $97 | $81 | 10K contacts, 50K emails/mo, 2 team members, 3 courses, 3 communities | 0% |
| ClickFunnels Scale | $197 | $164 | 75K contacts, 300K emails/mo, 5 team members, 6 courses | 0% |
| ClickFunnels Optimize | $297 | $248 | 150K contacts, 750K emails/mo, 10 team members, 10 courses | 0% |
| ClickFunnels Dominate | Annual only | $499.75 ($5,997/yr) | 400K contacts, 20 team members, 20 courses | 0% |
| Teachable Starter | $39 | $29 | 5 products, 1 admin, up to 1TB video | 7.5% |
| Teachable Builder | $89 | $69 | 10 products, 1 admin, affiliate program | 0% |
| Teachable Growth | $189 | $139 | 50 products, 5 admins, certificates, remove branding | 0% |
| Teachable Custom | Contact sales | Contact sales | Success manager, migration help | 0% |

ClickFunnels states annual savings of $194, $394 and $594 a year on its first three plans. It offers a 14-day trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee; the pricing page does not say whether a card is required, though an older ClickFunnels help center article says the card on file is charged after 14 days. ClickFunnels keeps no commission on your sales ("You'll keep every penny you make"), but your payment processor still charges its normal fees.

Teachable shows a 7-day free trial on its plan cards plus a 30-day guarantee, and a pop-up also offers a 30-day trial on Builder monthly. Its own processing, Teachable Payments, lists US cards at 2.9% + 30¢ and international cards at 3.9% + 30¢; PayPal runs 3.49% + 49¢ in the US and 4.99% + 49¢ internationally. There is a $15 chargeback fee and an optional BackOffice service at 2% to 2.8% of sales.
What does the 7.5% fee really cost?
Take an example coach selling $2,000 a month of course and program access on Teachable Starter. The 7.5% platform fee is $150 a month, on top of the $39 plan and card processing. That is $189 a month before processing, which is more than Builder's $89 with no platform fee. As a rule of thumb, once Starter sales pass roughly $670 a month, Builder becomes the cheaper plan. Our Teachable pricing breakdown walks through more of these cases, and our ClickFunnels pricing guide does the same for contacts and email caps.
What does a full coaching stack cost on each?
The plan price is only part of the bill. A coach running 1:1 clients plus a course usually needs booking, contracts, payments, a course, email and some form of client tracking. With Teachable, scheduling is a separate subscription, contracts are another tool, and there is still nowhere to track habits or check-ins. With ClickFunnels, appointments and email are included, but contracts and client progress tracking are not. Coachful includes booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community, website, funnels and email in your Coachful membership (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).
Which is better for funnels and sales pages?
ClickFunnels wins this category between the two; it is the product's reason to exist. Teachable can sell well with checkout pages, upsells and cart recovery, but it is not a funnel builder.
ClickFunnels Launch lists unlimited funnels (marked "Limited Time"), 5 domains, 1 store and 1 million AI words. Scale adds a custom code editor, webhooks and API access, and priority live chat support. For a coach who runs ads into a webinar, then into an application, then into a sales call, ClickFunnels gives you every page in that sequence and the email follow-up behind it. The catch is portability: funnels are proprietary, and ClickFunnels pages cannot be exported to another platform (older profile), so moving later means rebuilding.
Teachable's selling tools center on the product: sales pages, global payments and taxes, upsells and cart recovery on every plan, and an affiliate program from Builder up. That is enough for a course creator whose traffic already exists, for example an email list or a podcast audience. It is thin for a coach who needs a lead magnet, an application form and a booking step before anyone pays.
Coachful sits between the two. It includes booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with Meta Pixel, GA4 and UTM tracking, about 25 funnel templates, a link-in-bio page that sells, and email sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. It does not try to match ClickFunnels on sheer contact volume or custom code. If you want to see how a coaching funnel looks without ClickFunnels, read how to build coaching funnels without ClickFunnels.

Which is better for online courses?
Teachable is the better course platform of the two. It lists unlimited students on every self-serve plan, iOS and Android student apps, AI creation tools, and up to 1TB of video on Starter, while ClickFunnels caps courses at 3 on Launch.
Teachable's limits are on products, not students: 5 on Starter, 10 on Builder and 50 on Growth. Growth adds certificates, removes Teachable branding, lets you import students and includes free subtitles and translations. The earlier active-student caps (100, 1,000 and 5,000) no longer appear on the pricing page. The weak spot is export: students and sales reports export to CSV, but video content has to be downloaded manually and there is no bulk course export (older profile). Our guide on how to migrate from Teachable covers that in detail.
ClickFunnels treats courses as one app among many. Launch allows 3 courses and 3 communities, Scale 6, Optimize 10 and Dominate 20. That is plenty for a coach with one signature course and a bonus library, and limiting for a creator building a catalog. Course content in ClickFunnels has to be rebuilt if you leave (older profile).
Coachful includes courses with modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking, plus downloads, videos, books, AI tools, events and bundles, all delivered inside the client's branded home and app. It has 48 course templates with quizzes. It is not a course marketplace, so do not expect strangers to find your course inside Coachful. See our course platform for coaches page for the full list.

Which handles 1:1 coaching sessions and scheduling better?
ClickFunnels does, simply because it includes an appointments app and Teachable has no native scheduling. Teachable coaching calls rely on outside tools such as Calendly and Zoom (older profile).
For coaches this matters more than any course feature. A 1:1 practice runs on booking, reminders, rescheduling, time zones and video links. With Teachable you bolt on a scheduler and keep two client lists in sync by hand. With ClickFunnels you get bookings, but the session sits apart from any record of the client's goals or progress.
Coachful's booking pages include availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync. Sessions get built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links, email reminders, plus SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions or session credits, ask intake questions at booking, and assign multi-coach session types round-robin or to the least-busy coach. More on our scheduling software page.

What about payments, contracts and invoices?
Both charge no platform fee above their entry tier, but only Teachable charges one at entry (7.5% on Starter), and neither includes coaching contracts. ClickFunnels processes payments through Payments AI (Stripe-based), Stripe and, per older profiles, PayPal. Teachable uses Teachable Payments, PayPal and a monthly payment gateway.
Coachful runs payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Every transaction gets an invoice, and you can send manual invoices too. Since August 2026 there is a 0% Coachful platform fee, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and stay on the client record. The honest limit: Coachful has no PayPal, so if your buyers insist on PayPal, both ClickFunnels and Teachable serve them better. See coaching payment software and coaching contracts for detail.

What does the client experience look like on each?
On ClickFunnels a client meets you through pages and emails; on Teachable they meet you as a student in a course player and app. In both, the experience is built around content or conversion, not around their personal progress.
That difference shows up after the sale. A Teachable student logs in, watches lessons and marks them complete. A ClickFunnels buyer moves from an opt-in page to a checkout and then into a members area or a booked call. Neither gives the client a place to log a habit, answer a morning check-in, see their goals with progress bars, or find their next session, notes and documents in one spot. Coaches using either platform usually fill that gap with spreadsheets, messaging apps and shared docs.
In Coachful, the client opens one app under your branding and finds everything: their program with this week's goals and daily tasks, habits and streaks, morning and evening check-ins, sessions, course lessons, the community and your messages. On your side, every client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk so you can see who needs attention.

This short walkthrough shows how a program is built and delivered to clients in Coachful:

What do public reviewers say about ClickFunnels and Teachable?
ClickFunnels rates higher on Trustpilot than Teachable as listed in October 2026: 4.7 from 2,512 reviews versus 3.3 from 1,110 reviews. Ratings reflect each platform's whole customer base, not just coaches, so read them as a signal rather than a verdict.
ClickFunnels' rating rose from 4.6 to 4.7 between our earlier profile and October 2026. Teachable's count rose slightly, from 1,101 to 1,110 reviews, with the score at 3.3. Before buying either, read the most recent reviews for the plan you intend to use. Coachful holds 4.5 from 21 reviews on Trustpilot, a much smaller sample. If you are weighing other course tools, our Kajabi vs Teachable and Thinkific vs Teachable comparisons cover the same ground.
Which should you pick for your kind of coaching?
Match the tool to where your revenue comes from. The table below maps common coaching models to the best fit, with Coachful first because it covers the most models end to end.
| Tool | Coaching model it fits | Why | Pick something else if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | 1:1 and group programs, hybrid coaching with a course, small teams | Booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community, website, funnels and email in one login | You need PayPal, HIPAA compliance or a course marketplace |
| ClickFunnels | High-ticket coaching sold through ads, webinars and application funnels | Funnel-first builder with large contact and email allowances | Most of your work is delivery, not acquisition |
| Teachable | Self-paced courses and digital products to a wide audience | Unlimited students, student apps, certificates on Growth | You run live 1:1 sessions that need booking and tracking |
A few specific cases:
- Business coach running a webinar funnel into a high-ticket program: ClickFunnels beats Teachable for acquisition. If the program itself has weekly goals, accountability and group calls, Coachful covers both the funnel and the delivery. See tools for business coaches.
- Health coach selling a 12-week habit program: neither ClickFunnels nor Teachable tracks daily habits or check-ins. Coachful does. Coaching is not medical treatment; refer clients with symptoms or conditions to a doctor, and keep clinical records out of Coachful because it is not HIPAA-certified. See tools for health coaches.
- Course creator with 20,000 students and no live coaching: Teachable is the better of the two and likely a better fit than Coachful, which is designed around coaching relationships.
- New coach with no website yet: Coachful's free white-glove build gets a site, a funnel and a program set up for you. See Coachful for new coaches.
Is there a third option that beats both ClickFunnels and Teachable?
Yes, for most coaches: Coachful combines the parts of ClickFunnels and Teachable that coaches use, then adds the client delivery that neither offers. It does not beat both for pure funnel marketers at large scale or for course-only creators.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform based in Tallinn, Estonia. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients.
Who it is for. Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools. Team plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions.
What it does that neither ClickFunnels nor Teachable does:
- Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks.
- A client record with an AI briefing per client and a thriving, active, quiet or at-risk status.
- Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, which works from your live practice data: it builds programs, drafts emails, summarizes recorded sessions, briefs you before sessions and can give private feedback on your coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.
- An AI Coach: an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions, configured by you.
- ICF credential tracking that counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log. See ICF hour tracking.
- A Fitness & Nutrition pack with a workout builder, nutrition targets, meal plans and private form-check video, for coaches in that niche.

What it does not do. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and is not for clinical records or insurance billing. It has no PayPal and no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. It is not a course marketplace, not a general website builder for non-coaching sites, and has no third-party plugins. There is no Salesforce or HubSpot integration and no multi-stage sales deal board for large teams. The affiliate program tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually rather than sent by Coachful.
When ClickFunnels still beats it: you run high-volume paid traffic, need hundreds of thousands of contacts and emails a month, want a custom code editor and API, or need PayPal at checkout.
When Teachable still beats it: you sell self-paced courses to thousands of students with no live coaching, want certificates and subtitles out of the box, or need PayPal.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create > We'll build it for you, describe what you want, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and copy, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. That can be a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline and written material, an email sequence, a lead quiz, a webinar page or an automation. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent example: a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. Another: a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Read more about the free white-glove service.

How to start. Start a free trial, request a white-glove build of your website, funnel or first program, and the team also imports your clients, programs and content during onboarding. If you are leaving Teachable, the Teachable alternative page lays out the switch; if you are leaving ClickFunnels, see our best ClickFunnels alternatives for coaches. You can also compare more tools on our comparison hub or read about coaching software in general.
How hard is it to switch away later?
Leaving ClickFunnels means rebuilding funnels; leaving Teachable means downloading videos one by one. Both let you export contacts or students to CSV, but neither exports the product you built in a portable form (older profiles).
This matters because the first platform choice tends to stick. Before committing, decide which assets you would need to take with you: your list, your course videos, your client history. Coachful exports full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses) and exports courses, and it is GDPR-ready. When you move in, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.
Frequently asked questions
Is ClickFunnels or Teachable better for coaches?
ClickFunnels is better if your main problem is getting clients through funnels, ads and webinars. Teachable is better if you mainly sell self-paced courses. Neither tracks client habits, check-ins or 1:1 program progress, so coaches who deliver programs often prefer an all-in-one coaching platform such as Coachful.
Which is cheaper, ClickFunnels or Teachable?
Teachable is cheaper to start at $39 a month ($29 billed annually) versus ClickFunnels at $97 ($81 billed annually), as listed in October 2026. Teachable Starter adds a 7.5% transaction fee, so once your monthly sales pass roughly $670, Teachable Builder at $89 is cheaper overall. ClickFunnels charges no platform fee on any plan.
Can you use ClickFunnels and Teachable together?
Yes, some coaches run a ClickFunnels funnel into a Teachable checkout or course. The cost is two subscriptions, two logins and two contact lists to keep in sync, and you still need a separate way to track client progress between sessions.
Does Teachable have scheduling for coaching calls?
Teachable has no native scheduling or calendar sync; coaching calls rely on tools such as Calendly and Zoom (older profile). ClickFunnels includes an appointments app. Coachful includes booking pages with two-way calendar sync and built-in video or Zoom, Meet and Teams links.
Do ClickFunnels and Teachable take a cut of sales?
ClickFunnels takes 0% on every plan. Teachable takes 7.5% on Starter and 0% on Builder, Growth and Custom. In both cases your payment processor still charges its own fees, such as 2.9% + 30¢ on US cards through Teachable Payments.
Which has a better mobile app for clients?
Teachable lists iOS and Android student apps on every plan, which suits course students. Coachful gives clients one app with your branding that holds programs, habits, check-ins, sessions, courses and community; it ships under the Coachful listing rather than your own App Store account.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a build service included on every Coachful plan. You describe what you want, such as a website, funnel, program or email sequence, attach reference links and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.
Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. Health and wellness coaches can use it for coaching, which is not medical treatment, and should keep clinical records in a clinical system.
Can I move my Teachable courses or ClickFunnels funnels into Coachful?
Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove team can rebuild a funnel or website inside your account. Teachable videos have to be downloaded from Teachable first, since it has no bulk course export (older profile).
