Delenta vs Paperbell (2026): Which Should Coaches Pick?

Delenta vs Paperbell (2026): Which Should Coaches Pick?

If you are weighing delenta vs paperbell, here is the short version. Paperbell is one flat price ($97 a month, or $970 a year, as listed in October 2026) for a simple admin system with unlimited clients. Delenta is tiered ($29, $49 and $79 a month) and adds group coaching, courses and a mobile app as you move up, with client-portal caps on the two cheaper plans. Paperbell suits a solo coach selling 1:1 packages who wants as few decisions as possible. Delenta suits a coach who wants a CRM-style back office and is happy to choose the right tier.

There is a third option, and we should say up front that we are not neutral about it. We make Coachful, a coaching platform that puts booking, payments, contracts and the work between sessions (programs, habits, check-ins, courses, community) behind one login. We cover it near the end, including the cases where Delenta or Paperbell is the better choice. Everything below about the two vendors comes from their own pricing pages as listed in October 2026, from our September 2026 profiles where marked, and from what public reviewers report. We have not run either tool with paying clients, so treat this as a documented comparison rather than a hands-on test.

Delenta vs Paperbell: what is the short answer by use case?

Pick Paperbell if you coach mostly 1:1, sell session packages and want one price that never changes as you grow. Pick Delenta if you want group programs, a course creator or a mobile app and you can live with its tier structure.

  • New coach with under 10 clients: Delenta Starter is the cheaper start at $29 a month, but it caps you at 10 client portals and 1 GB of storage.
  • Established 1:1 coach with 30 or more clients: Paperbell's single plan has no client cap, so the price is predictable. Delenta Pro covers up to 40 client portals for $49 a month.
  • Group coaching: Delenta adds group coaching, group video sessions and group packages on Pro. Paperbell lists group coaching on its one plan. Read what Paperbell's group coaching does and where it stops before you commit.
  • Courses and a mobile app: Delenta only, and only on Premium ($79 a month). Paperbell lists online classes and digital downloads, but our September 2026 profile found no full course builder and no native mobile app.
  • Multi-coach practice: Delenta Teams, priced per seat (amount not shown). Paperbell is priced per coach.
  • Programs that run between sessions (habits, check-ins, goals, community) in one login: neither is built around this. That is where Coachful fits.

How do Delenta and Paperbell compare side by side?

On paper they cover the same core: booking, payments, contracts, a client portal and some marketing. The difference is how they package it. Paperbell bundles everything into one plan; Delenta splits features and client limits across tiers.

How we rank: one login for the whole client journey, what clients get between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort.

PaperbellSolo coaches selling 1:1 packages$97/moUnlimitedListed on the single planOnline classes and digital downloads listedMobile browser only (September 2026 profile)Forms and notes; no goal or habit tracking (September 2026 profile)

Two things stand out. First, Delenta's cheaper plans are cheaper than Paperbell by a wide margin, but the client-portal caps decide when you outgrow them. Second, neither tool is built around what clients do between calls. If your coaching works through weekly actions and accountability, that gap matters more than any price difference.

What do Delenta and Paperbell cost?

Paperbell costs $97 a month or $970 a year for everything. Delenta costs $29, $49 or $79 a month (or $229, $469 or $699 a year), with Teams and Enterprise priced on request. Neither charges its own transaction fee on top of Stripe or PayPal processing.

A few details worth knowing before you compare totals:

  • Delenta's annual figures are yearly totals. The per-month numbers above are those totals divided by 12. The page shows "$" without naming a currency, so confirm the billing currency at checkout.
  • Delenta's trial length conflicts on its own page. The headline says a 14-day free trial; the FAQ says unlimited access "for 7 days". No credit card is required either way.
  • Delenta lists a setup concierge as an add-on, with no price shown.
  • Paperbell shows its annual price against $1,164 ("2 Mo Free!"), which is twelve months at $97. Its help center (July 2026) described a 7-day trial in which your public site stays offline and client messages and SMS are switched off. It also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee and states "no upsells or hidden add-ons".

What does each cost at your practice size?

The numbers below are worked examples using list prices, monthly billing and the client limits shown above. They leave out card processing, which you pay on any of these tools.

ToolExample A: 8 clients, 1:1 onlyExample B: 25 clients plus a small groupExample C: 60 clients plus a course

Paperbell$97/mo ($1,164 a year billed monthly)$97/mo$97/mo, but check that online classes cover the course you plan

At small sizes Delenta is clearly cheaper than Paperbell. At the top end the gap narrows: Delenta Premium on annual billing ($699) is $271 a year less than Paperbell's annual plan ($970). The real cost question is what else you pay for alongside either tool. If you still need a separate course platform, community app, email tool or habit tracker, add those subscriptions before deciding. Our full Delenta pricing breakdown goes through each tier in more detail.

How do booking and scheduling compare?

Both handle the basics: a booking page, calendar sync and video links. Delenta includes booking with calendar sync and Zoom, Meet and Teams on every plan, and Pro raises the limit to six connected calendars. Paperbell lists scheduling and video call integration on its single plan.

The bigger difference is how booking connects to selling. Paperbell is organized around packages: its pricing page lists scheduling, payments and packages, contracts and a client portal together on one plan, which is what 1:1 coaches selling session bundles need. Delenta pairs booking with intake forms and a CRM, which suits coaches who think in leads and pipelines. Delenta's Pro plan also adds group video sessions.

Where Coachful fits: booking pages with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync, built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links, and intake questions at booking. Email reminders are included, plus SMS 24 hours and WhatsApp 1 hour before the session once messaging is turned on. Multi-coach session types can use round-robin or least-busy assignment. See Coachful's scheduling for the details.

How do payments, packages and contracts compare?

Both take Stripe and PayPal and say they add no transaction fee of their own. Both include e-signed contracts. Paperbell lists contracts on its single plan; Delenta includes e-signed contracts from Starter.

ToolProcessorsPlatform feeContractsRecurring payments

PaperbellStripe, PayPal (September 2026 profile)"No additional transaction fees"Contracts includedPayments and packages on the single plan

If PayPal matters to your clients, both Delenta and Paperbell support it and Coachful does not. That is a genuine reason to choose one of them. If you sell programs in instalments, check how each one handles payment plans before you migrate any existing subscriptions. For contracts specifically, our guide to coaching contracts covers what to put in an agreement; it is not legal advice, so have a local lawyer review yours.

Which is better for group coaching and courses?

Delenta has the clearer upgrade path for groups and courses: group coaching on Pro, a course creator on Premium. Paperbell lists group coaching and online classes on its single plan, but our September 2026 profile found no full course builder, community or habit tracking.

Delenta's Pro plan adds group coaching, group video sessions and group packages. If you plan to sell a course as well, you need Premium, which also unlocks unlimited sales pages and onboarding workflows. That makes Premium the realistic plan for a coach who runs cohorts plus a self-paced product.

Paperbell's pricing page now lists online classes and digital downloads among its included features, which is newer than our earlier profile. What we cannot confirm from the page is how much structure those classes have: modules, drip release, completion tracking or quizzes. Ask for a demo of exactly what you plan to sell. Our article on Paperbell alternatives with group coaching compares tools that go further.

Where Coachful fits: cohort groups are created automatically when a client enrolls in a program, with a community feed, group chat, direct messages, video events, group calls and webinars. Courses have modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, and there are 48 course templates with quizzes. All of it is included in your Coachful membership, not unlocked by a higher tier. Which gives you a better website and marketing?

Paperbell includes a coaching website and email workflows on its one plan. Delenta starts with a profile landing page, adds a branded landing page on Pro, and only gives you a custom domain, branded emails and unlimited sales pages on Premium.

Paperbell's website is meant to be simple: a place to describe your services and send people to your packages. Our walkthrough of the Paperbell website shows what you get and where people tend to go further.

Delenta leans toward lead management. Starter includes lead management, a profile landing page and intake forms, which works for a coach whose leads arrive through referrals or a single landing page. A coach who wants a full site on their own domain will end up on Premium.

Where Coachful fits: a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates (or import your existing site). Booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. What is the client experience like on each?

On Paperbell, clients use a client portal in the browser, with no native mobile app (September 2026 profile). On Delenta, clients get a client portal on every plan and a mobile app on Premium.

For a 1:1 coach, Paperbell's client side is about getting clients booked, paid and signed. For a coach whose work happens inside the session, that may be all the client side needs.

Delenta's client portal adds tasks and goals, which gives you a basic way to set actions between calls. The mobile app only arrives on Premium, so coaches on Starter or Pro rely on the browser portal too.

What neither offers in depth is a daily structure for the client: habits to tick off, morning and evening check-ins, streaks and goal progress that the coach can watch. If your clients pay for change that happens between sessions, the client experience is where the decision really sits.

In Coachful, the client opens one branded app (your branding inside the Coachful app) and finds their next session, current program week, habits, check-ins, courses, community and documents in one place. The coach sees each client's status (thriving, active, quiet or at risk) and gets an AI briefing before each session.

How do they handle teams, data and compliance?

Delenta has the stronger team story: a Teams plan with multiple coaches, roles, coach payroll, HR reports, white label and HIPAA, at a per-seat price it does not publish. Paperbell is priced per coach and is built for solo practices.

  • Teams: If you run a coaching firm and need payroll or HR reports, Delenta Teams is built for that. Enterprise adds a public API with SSO. Ask for the per-seat price in writing before you plan a budget.
  • HIPAA: Delenta lists HIPAA on its Teams plan. Neither Paperbell's pricing page nor our profile shows a HIPAA offering for Paperbell. If you work with protected health information as a covered entity or business associate, read the official guidance from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and confirm a signed business associate agreement before you store any records.
  • Data export: Paperbell keeps client lists and history in its Clients area; a documented CSV export was not verified in our September 2026 profile. Delenta documents CSV and XLS contact import; client-data export was not verified either. Ask both vendors how you would leave before you join.
  • ICF logs: Delenta includes coaching logs from Starter. Paperbell's pricing page does not mention coaching logs, so ask if you are working toward a credential.

Where Coachful fits: team plans (Studio and Agency) add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions, and ICF credential tracking counts hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log. A full ZIP export covers your roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses. Coachful is GDPR-ready but not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not the right home for clinical records.

What do reviewers say about Delenta and Paperbell?

On Trustpilot, Paperbell scores 3.5 from 14 reviews and Delenta scores 4.1 from 5 reviews (both seen in October 2026). Both review bases are small, so a single review moves the average.

With so few reviews, star averages say little. A better test is the trial itself: set up one real package, book yourself as a client from a phone, and send yourself a contract. Paperbell's trial (per its July 2026 help center) keeps your public site offline, so plan to test the client flow with a private link. Delenta's trial runs 7 or 14 days depending on which part of its page you read, so start when you have time to use it. Our Delenta review covers more of what public reviewers report.

Which should you pick for your kind of coaching?

Choose by how you deliver coaching, not by the feature list. A coach who sells sessions needs different software from a coach who sells change over twelve weeks.

ToolPick it ifSkip it if
CoachfulYou deliver programs with habits, check-ins, courses or a community, want a website, funnels and email in the same login, and want the setup built for youYou need PayPal, HIPAA with a BAA, or an app under your own App Store account
DelentaYou want a CRM-style back office, start small and may grow into groups, courses or a multi-coach firmYou hate tier limits, or you need a course and app but do not want to pay for Premium
PaperbellYou coach 1:1, sell packages and want one predictable price with unlimited clientsYou run structured programs between sessions or want a native client app
  • Life and mindset coaches selling 1:1 packages: Paperbell is the simplest of the two. If you want your clients doing daily work between calls, see Coachful for life coaches.
  • Executive and business coaches: Delenta's CRM, coaching logs and Teams plan suit firms and corporate engagements. Solo executive coaches can compare both with our list of Paperbell alternatives for executive coaches.
  • Health and wellness coaches: coaching is not medical treatment. Stay within your scope and refer clients to a doctor or licensed clinician for diagnosis, medication questions, eating-disorder signs or anything clinical. If you need HIPAA, Delenta Teams lists it; Coachful is not set up for clinical records, and Paperbell does not list HIPAA on its pricing page.
  • Group and cohort coaches: Delenta Pro or Premium beats Paperbell on structure. Coachful includes cohorts, community and courses without a tier jump.
  • Coaching firms with several coaches: Delenta Teams if you need payroll and HR reports; Coachful Studio or Agency if you need seats, shared programs and per-coach availability. See Coachful for teams.

The third option: when does Coachful beat both, and when does it not?

Coachful beats both when your coaching runs through programs between sessions and you want everything (booking, payments, delivery, marketing) in one login. It does not beat them if you need PayPal, HIPAA, or the simplest possible package-selling tool.

A laptop showing a client's coaching hub and enrolled group program
The client side of Coachful: the coaching hub with the next session and an enrolled group program.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and the client has one branded app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six separate tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds a 4.5 Trustpilot rating from 21 reviews.

What it does that Delenta and Paperbell do not.

  • Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks.
  • Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before each call. It can also give private feedback on your own coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. (Delenta lists "Delenta ai" as coming soon.)
  • AI Coach, an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions, configured by you.
  • Templates: more than 40 ready-to-film program templates, 48 course templates and about 25 funnel templates.
  • A Fitness & Nutrition pack with a workout builder, exercise library, meal plans, food lookup, progress photos and form-check video, for coaches who need it. See Fitness & Nutrition.

Here is a short walkthrough of how programs are built and delivered:

What Coachful does not do. It is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. It does not take PayPal and has no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. There is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, no stock exercise videos (you attach your own), no Salesforce or HubSpot integration, and no multi-stage sales deal board for large teams. Affiliate tracking records links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually. If any of those is a requirement, Delenta or Paperbell may suit you better, and that is a fair reason to pick one of them.

How Coachful's cost compares. Plans are flat monthly prices, lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans add seats (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). There is no platform fee on client payments; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. The fair comparison is against Paperbell or Delenta plus whatever course, community, email and habit tools you would add next to them.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create > We'll build it for you and describe what you want: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, intake form, link in bio, lead quiz or event. Attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files (logos, photos, brand guides, copy), and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices; gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Recent builds include a five-page site in sage and cream for a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing, with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation, and a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails for a business mentor to beauty professionals. How do you switch without losing clients?

Switch between client cycles, not in the middle of a package. Export what you can, rebuild your offers, then move clients over as their current package ends.

  1. Export first. Pull client lists, notes, contracts and payment history from your current tool. Since export options for both vendors were not verified in our profiles, ask support what format you will get.
  2. Rebuild your offers. Recreate packages, programs and booking types in the new tool before you invite anyone.
  3. Move recurring payments carefully. Subscriptions on Stripe or PayPal do not move by themselves. Tell clients when billing will change and get fresh consent.
  4. Run both for one cycle. Keep the old tool until active packages finish, then cancel.

Our step-by-step guide on how to migrate from Paperbell covers this in more detail. Coming from Delenta, see our list of Delenta alternatives or the Delenta alternative page; coming from Paperbell, see the Paperbell alternative page.

Is Delenta cheaper than Paperbell?

Yes, at every published tier. As listed in October 2026, Delenta runs $29, $49 or $79 a month against Paperbell's $97. Delenta's two cheaper plans cap client portals at 10 and 40, so check your client count before comparing.

Does Paperbell limit how many clients I can have?

No. Paperbell's single plan lists unlimited clients, sessions, files, packages and traffic. The price stays the same as you grow, which is its main advantage over tiered tools.

Does Delenta have a mobile app for clients?

Yes, but only on the Premium plan ($79 a month or $699 a year). Starter and Pro clients use the browser-based client portal.

Which is better for group coaching, Delenta or Paperbell?

Delenta has more structure for groups: group coaching, group video sessions and group packages from Pro, plus a course creator on Premium. Paperbell lists group coaching on its single plan, but it is built mainly around 1:1 packages.

Do Delenta or Paperbell take a cut of my client payments?

Neither adds its own transaction fee, according to their pricing pages. You still pay Stripe or PayPal processing fees on every payment.

Is Delenta or Paperbell HIPAA compliant?

Delenta lists HIPAA on its Teams plan, which is priced per seat on request. Paperbell does not list HIPAA on its pricing page. If you handle protected health information, confirm a signed business associate agreement with the vendor before storing any records.

How long are the free trials?

Delenta's page conflicts: the headline says 14 days and the FAQ says 7, with no credit card required. Paperbell's help center (July 2026) described a 7-day trial with your public site offline, plus a 30-day money-back guarantee.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

On any plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build your website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or forms inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. You describe what you want and attach up to 8 links and 10 files. It does not include video recording, logo design or ongoing marketing.

Can I take PayPal payments in Coachful?

No. Coachful takes payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. If your clients need PayPal, Delenta and Paperbell both support it.

Can I move my clients from Delenta or Paperbell to Coachful?

Yes. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Plan the switch for when current packages end, and ask your existing vendor for an export of client data first.
