Healthie vs Quenza in 2026: Which Suits Coaches Better?

Healthie vs Quenza in 2026: Which Suits Coaches Better?

Healthie vs Quenza mostly comes down to what kind of practice you run. Healthie is practice management and telehealth built for dietitians, nutrition and wellness providers: booking, charting, a client portal, Stripe payments and a HIPAA business associate agreement that takes effect when you create the account. Quenza is a client-engagement tool for coaches and therapists: activities, worksheets, programs, chat and a client app, with no client payments today and, according to its September 2026 profile, no scheduling or video calls. If you keep clinical records or bill insurance, Healthie is the closer fit. If you only need structured exercises between sessions, Quenza is. If you coach rather than treat and want one system for the whole client journey, a third option beats both on most coaching criteria, and we cover it honestly further down.

We make Coachful, so weigh our recommendation with that in mind. Every Healthie and Quenza price below is as listed on the vendor's own pricing page in October 2026. Nothing here comes from hands-on testing: we report what each vendor documents and what public reviewers say.

What is the short answer for each type of coach?

Pick by the job you need the software to do, not by the feature count. Here is the quick version by use case.

  • You are a registered dietitian or licensed provider who bills insurance: Healthie. Insurance claims through ClaimMD, e-prescribing through DoseSpot, charting and an automatic BAA are clinical tools Quenza does not offer.
  • You run sessions elsewhere and want better homework between them: Quenza. Its library of activities, worksheets and programs is the core of the product, and the Spark plan is cheap for a small roster.
  • You are a health, wellness, life or fitness coach selling programs: neither is a complete fit. Healthie charges you for clinical depth you will not use; Quenza leaves you to buy scheduling, payments and a website separately. Coachful covers booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, community and a website in one membership.
  • You run a small team: Healthie's Group plan adds providers per seat; Quenza's Collective covers up to 3 professionals. Coachful's Studio and Agency plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions.

If you want a wider view first, our comparison hub lists every head-to-head we have written, including Practice Better vs Healthie and CoachAccountable vs Quenza.

How do Healthie and Quenza compare side by side?

Healthie is broader and clinical; Quenza is narrower and focused on engagement. The table below adds Coachful as a third column of comparison.

Healthie's homepage speaks to providers: practice management, telehealth and charting. That framing matters. The product assumes a clinical workflow, with notes, insurance and prescriptions as first-class concerns. For a coach, a good share of what you would pay for sits unused.

How much do Healthie and Quenza cost?

At small rosters they cost about the same: $19.99 a month for Healthie Core and $25 a month for Quenza Spark, both capped at 10 clients. The gap opens at the top end, and the bigger difference is what each price leaves out.

Healthie's full plan list as listed in October 2026:

  • Core: $19.99 a month, or $18 a month billed annually, for up to 10 active clients.
  • Essentials: $49.99 a month, or $45 annually, for up to 250 active clients.
  • Plus: $129.99 a month, or $115 annually, with unlimited clients.
  • Group: $149.99 a month, or $135 annually, starting with 1 provider and 1 support seat, then $50 a month per extra provider.
  • Enterprise: quote only.

Add-ons sit on top: ClaimMD insurance claims (listed as $30 a month, or $25 a month plus a $50 to $100 setup fee), DoseSpot e-prescribing at $40 per clinician per month, AI charting with no published price, and an inbound eFax line at $10 a month. Most coaches will never need these, which is the point: you would be choosing a product whose upsells are built for clinics. One more caution: Healthie's plan cards and its comparison table disagree on which tier includes online programs and ClaimMD, so ask Healthie to confirm in writing if programs are why you are buying.

  • Spark: $25 a month ($20 annually), 1 professional, 10 clients, activities, programs, notes, tasks, 1:1 chat, 100+ core activities and the mobile app.
  • Growth: $50 a month ($40 annually), 250 clients, adds groups, 1 landing page, file sharing, recurring tasks, a custom logo, 1 webhook and 200+ activities.
  • Impact: $125 a month ($100 annually), 400 clients, adds a custom domain, a custom email sender, 2 webhooks, 3 landing pages and 400+ premium activities.
  • Collective: $160 a month ($128 annually), up to 3 professionals and 500 clients, adds team chat, API access, 5 webhooks and 5 landing pages.
  • Beyond: custom pricing for unlimited clients and professionals, with roles and permissions, unlimited webhooks, priority support and full-service setup.

For the full breakdown see our guide to Quenza pricing.

What does the whole stack cost?

The subscription is only part of the bill. Here is an illustrative example, not a quote: a coach with 40 clients on Quenza Growth pays $50 a month and still needs a scheduler, a way to take payments, an e-signature tool and a website or funnel builder beyond one landing page. Each of those is another login and another invoice. The same coach on Healthie Essentials pays $49.99 a month and gets booking and Stripe payments, but still needs a website, email marketing and a course or community tool if they sell group programs.

Coachful bundles booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Add up your current tools before you compare sticker prices.

How do scheduling and sessions compare?

Healthie has scheduling and telehealth built in; Quenza, per its September 2026 profile, has neither scheduling nor video calls. That single gap decides the comparison for many coaches.

Healthie's booking sits alongside its charting and client portal, so a session can move from booking to a note inside one system. That is a real advantage for dietitians who document each visit. With Quenza you book clients through another tool and send them Quenza activities afterward, which works if you already have a scheduler you like and only want to improve homework.

Coachful's booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Sessions run on built-in video or on auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go out by email, and by SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions and session credits, ask intake questions on booking, and route multi-coach session types by round-robin or least-busy assignment. See Coachful scheduling for the details.

Which handles client payments and invoicing better?

Healthie does, because Quenza does not take client payments at all today. Quenza's pricing page marks invoicing and digital products as planned or coming soon.

Healthie processes payments through Stripe at 2.9% + $0.30 per charge. For a provider who also bills insurance through the ClaimMD add-on, having card payments and claims in one place is useful.

For coaches, payments are usually about packages, subscriptions and payment plans rather than claims. Coachful runs through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Every transaction gets an invoice, and you can send manual invoices too. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026, so only Stripe or Razorpay processing applies. It does not support PayPal. More on coaching payments.

Contracts belong in the same flow. Coachful sends a coaching agreement with e-signature before the first call and stores it on the client record, so you never chase a signed PDF by email. Our coaching contracts page shows how that works.

How do programs, activities and between-session work compare?

This is Quenza's home ground. Its activity library (100+ on Spark, 200+ on Growth, 400+ premium on Impact) and program builder are the reason people buy it.

Quenza activities cover worksheets, exercises and structured programs you assign to clients, with notes, tasks and 1:1 chat on every plan, plus groups and recurring tasks from Growth. Its page lists an AI activity generator as planned. If your method is built around reflective exercises and psychoeducation, Quenza gives you a lot of ready material.

Healthie's between-session tools are thinner and its online programs tier is unclear from its own pricing page. Healthie is strongest at documentation and the clinical record rather than at daily client engagement.

Coachful approaches between-session work through programs and coaching flows: multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars, and streaks. It ships more than 40 ready-to-film program templates and 48 course templates with quizzes. Courses support modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, and everything lands in the client's branded home and app. The walkthrough below shows how check-ins are set up.

Coachful's coaching flows library: Welcome, Morning Check-in and Evening Check-in flows, filtered by Welcome, Daily, Weekly and Journeys tabs.

On the client side, habits show as trackers with progress counts, and check-in answers flow back to the coach's client record with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. That status is what lets you spot a client going quiet before they cancel.

For fitness and nutrition coaches, Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack adds a workout builder with illustrated exercises, client workout logging with PRs, nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, barcode scanning, progress photos and form-check video. You attach your own demo videos; there are no stock exercise videos, and no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync.

Do you need HIPAA, charting and insurance billing?

If you are a HIPAA covered entity, yes, and that points to Healthie. Most coaches are not covered entities, but check your own situation rather than assume.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services explains who counts as a covered entity: broadly, health care providers who conduct certain transactions electronically, such as insurance billing, along with health plans and clearinghouses. Software vendors that handle protected health information for them sign a business associate agreement. Healthie's BAA takes effect automatically when the account is created, which removes a step for clinicians. If you are unsure whether HIPAA applies to you, check with an attorney who works with health practices.

A scope line every health and wellness coach should hold: coaching is not medical treatment or medical nutrition therapy. Coaches support behavior change; they do not diagnose, prescribe or treat. Refer a client to a doctor, registered dietitian or mental health professional when you see signs of an eating disorder, an unmanaged or newly diagnosed condition, medication questions, pregnancy-related nutrition needs, sudden weight change, or thoughts of self-harm. If your work regularly crosses that line, you need a clinical system like Healthie.

Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA. It is not built for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. It is GDPR-ready and gives you a full client data export as a ZIP. If you coach in health without treating, our page for health coaches lays out what fits.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

What about websites, marketing and growth?

Neither Healthie nor Quenza is a marketing tool. Quenza gives you landing pages (1 on Growth, 3 on Impact, 5 on Collective) and a custom domain from Impact; Healthie does not list a website builder among its plan features.

That leaves the hardest part of a coaching business, getting clients, in other tools. Coachful includes a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates; booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking; a link-in-bio page that sells; and email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. A social planner schedules posts to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and YouTube, and Instagram automations can send a booking link or lead magnet by DM when someone comments a keyword. See the coach website builder.

What does the client experience look like on each?

Quenza gives clients a mobile app for activities and chat; Healthie gives them a portal tied to their care. Coachful gives them one branded home for sessions, programs, payments, courses and community.

ToolWhere clients log inWhat they do thereGroups and communityCourses
CoachfulBranded home and app (your branding inside the Coachful app)Book and join sessions, sign agreements, pay, complete program tasks, habits and check-insCommunity feed, group chat, DMs, video events, automatic cohort groupsYes: modules, lessons, drip, completion tracking

QuenzaMobile appComplete activities and programs, chat 1:1 with the coachGroups from GrowthPrograms of activities; no course builder listed

Clients feel friction every time they have to switch apps. A Quenza client might book in one tool, pay in another, sign a contract in a third and do homework in Quenza. A Healthie client stays in one portal, but that portal is shaped around a clinical visit rather than a coaching program.

What public reviewers report is limited for both vendors. As seen in October 2026, Healthie has a Trustpilot score of 4.0 from 5 reviews and Quenza 4.3 from 8 reviews. Both samples are too small to lean on. Coachful sits at 4.5 from 21 reviews, also a modest base.

Which should you pick for your kind of coaching?

Match the tool to your practice, not to a feature checklist. This table sums up when each one is the right call.

A few common profiles:

  • Registered dietitian billing insurance: Healthie, without much debate. The ClaimMD add-on and the automatic BAA exist for you.
  • Therapist adding coaching homework: Quenza, alongside your existing clinical system.
  • Health or wellness coach with 10 to 50 clients in programs: Coachful, because you need program delivery, payments and marketing more than charting.
  • Life, mindset or career coach: Coachful. Healthie is built for clinicians, and Quenza leaves too many gaps. See our page for life coaches.
  • Small coaching team: Coachful's team plans or Healthie Group, depending on whether you are clinical.

Is there a third option that beats both Healthie and Quenza?

For most coaches, yes: Coachful. It combines what Healthie does for operations (booking, payments, a client record) with what Quenza does for engagement (programs, check-ins, habits), and adds the marketing neither offers.

Coachful's client progress page and a goal's daily momentum view on a laptop and tablet

What Coachful is. A coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia.

Who it is for. Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools.

Where it beats both.

  • One login for the whole client journey: a lead books through a funnel, signs the agreement, pays, joins the program and community, and checks in daily, all in one place.
  • Between-session delivery: programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins and streaks, plus courses and a community.
  • Client signals: each client record shows goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions, with an AI briefing and a thriving, active, quiet or at-risk status.
  • Michelle, the built-in AI assistant: works from your live practice data to build programs, draft emails and content, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before sessions. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. There is also an AI Coach that selected clients can chat with between sessions, configured by you. See the AI coaching assistant.
  • ICF credential tracking: counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log. See ICF hour tracking.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, the "We'll build it for you" option lets you describe what you want built: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, coaching flow, form, email sequence, link in bio, lead quiz, event or automation. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent example: a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Coachful Create page with the We will build it for you card
The Create page inside Coachful with the "We'll build it for you" card for the white-glove build service.

When Coachful does not beat them. Be honest with yourself about these:

  • You need HIPAA: Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and signs no BAA. Clinical records and insurance billing belong in Healthie or another clinical system.
  • You want the biggest ready-made exercise library: Quenza's 400+ premium activities on Impact are a deeper worksheet bank than Coachful's templates.
  • You need PayPal: Coachful runs on Stripe and Razorpay only.
  • You want your own App Store listing: Coachful's client app carries your branding inside the Coachful app, not under your own developer account.
  • You need wearable sync: no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available.
  • You want a permanent free plan: Coachful offers a free trial, not a free tier.

How do you start or switch without losing a month?

Start a free trial, then ask for the white-glove build so your site or first program is ready while you learn the rest. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.

  1. List your current tools and what each costs. Include the scheduler, payment tool, e-signature, website and email tools you use alongside Healthie or Quenza.
  2. Export what you can. Healthie's data export is not confirmed in its official documentation, and Quenza does not document one (API access sits on Collective), so ask each vendor directly before you cancel.
  3. Start the Coachful trial and connect your Stripe or Razorpay account and calendar.
  4. Request a build from Create for your website, funnel or first program.
  5. Move one cohort or a few new clients first, then migrate the rest once your agreements, payments and check-ins are working.

If you ever leave, Coachful exports your full client data as a ZIP: roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses, plus course export. Monthly plans cancel in one click.

Frequently asked questions

Is Healthie or Quenza better for health coaches?

It depends on whether you treat or coach. Healthie suits licensed providers who chart and bill insurance; Quenza suits coaches who only need structured homework. Health coaches who sell programs usually need booking, payments and program delivery together, which is why Coachful fits most of them better than either.

Does Quenza take client payments?

No. As listed in October 2026, Quenza has no client payment processing, and its pricing page marks invoicing and digital products as planned or coming soon. You would need a separate payment tool.

Does Quenza have scheduling?

Its September 2026 profile listed no scheduling or video calls. Most Quenza users pair it with a separate booking tool and video service.

Is Healthie HIPAA compliant?

Healthie states that its business associate agreement takes effect automatically when the account is created. If you are a covered entity, that is a meaningful advantage. Confirm your own obligations with an attorney.

Which is cheaper, Healthie or Quenza?

At 10 clients Healthie Core is cheaper at $19.99 a month versus $25 for Quenza Spark. At around 250 clients they are close: $49.99 for Healthie Essentials and $50 for Quenza Growth. For unlimited clients Healthie Plus costs $129.99, while Quenza requires a custom Beyond quote.

Is Coachful HIPAA compliant?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not meant for clinical records or insurance billing. It is GDPR-ready and built for coaching, not treatment.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a build service included on every plan. You describe what you need, such as a website, funnel, program or email sequence, attach references and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design or ad management.

Can I use Quenza alongside Coachful?

You can, but most coaches will not need to. Coachful's programs, habits, check-ins and courses cover between-session work. If you rely heavily on Quenza's activity library, you could keep it for worksheets while running everything else in Coachful.

What should I check before switching from Healthie?

Confirm whether HIPAA applies to you, since Coachful does not sign a BAA. Ask Healthie how to export your client records, because export is not confirmed in its official documentation. Then start a trial and request a build so your new setup is ready before you move clients.
