How to Migrate From Stan Store Without Losing Clients

To migrate from Stan Store without losing clients, export your customer and income CSVs first, rebuild your products, courses and booking pages on the new platform, move paying subscribers onto new checkout links before their next renewal, and only then cancel Stan. Stan's own exports cover customers and purchases; courses, community posts and subscriptions do not travel automatically, so they need a plan. This guide gives you that plan: a data map, a two-to-four-week timeline, paste-ready client emails and a cutover checklist.
We make Coachful, and this guide ends with how our team imports your clients and builds your new setup for you. The steps before that work for any destination, and we say plainly where Stan does something Coachful does not.

Why do coaches leave Stan Store?
Most coaches who leave Stan Store are not unhappy with the storefront; they have outgrown it. Stan is a link-in-bio store built for selling digital products, courses, memberships and paid calls, and it keeps that simple: it lists a 0% Stan fee on sales and held a 4.7 rating from 2,205 Trustpilot reviews when we checked in October 2026.
The gaps show up once your business is about clients rather than purchases. Based on Stan's plan pages and help center as listed in October 2026, these are the reasons that come up most:
- No client records. Stan has customers and orders, not a client file with notes, goals, session history and intake answers. It is not a CRM.
- No contracts or invoices. Coaching agreements and invoices have to live in another tool.
- No programs with tasks, habits or check-ins. A course can hold lessons, but there is nowhere for a client to log a habit or answer a weekly check-in that you then review.
- Marketing tools sit on the higher plan. Email broadcasts and flows, discount codes, upsells and order bumps, funnels, affiliate management, contact import and ad pixels are Creator Pro features. Creator is $29 a month ($25 a month billed yearly, $300 a year); Creator Pro is $99 a month ($79 a month billed yearly, $948 a year).
- No team seats advertised. If you are adding an associate coach, Stan does not list multi-coach plans.
The typical result is a stack: Stan for checkout, a scheduler, a contracts tool, a spreadsheet or CRM, a messaging app and maybe a separate email tool. Migration is usually less about leaving Stan and more about collapsing that stack into one place. For a fuller look at the trade-offs, see our Stan Store review and the breakdown of Stan Store pricing.
What does Stan Store compare to where you are moving?
Before you plan the move, confirm the destination actually covers what you use on Stan and the things you have been patching around it. Criteria here are the ones that decide a coaching migration: whether client records, contracts and programs live in the same place as checkout, and what the monthly bill covers.
| Platform | Monthly price | Checkout and storefront | Client records and contracts | Programs with habits and check-ins | Email automation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Link-in-bio page that sells, website, checkout funnels via your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay | Yes: client record plus e-signed agreements | Yes: weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins | Lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences included in your Coachful membership |
| Stan Store Creator | $29 ($25 billed yearly) | Yes: mobile and desktop storefront, Stripe or PayPal | No | No | Lead magnets and email collection only |
| Stan Store Creator Pro | $99 ($79 billed yearly) | Yes, plus funnels, order bumps, Afterpay and Klarna | No | No | Broadcasts and flows |
Stan prices are from Stan's own pricing article and help center as listed in October 2026. If you are still choosing a destination, our roundup of Stan Store alternatives covers more options, and Stan Store vs Kajabi compares the most common course-first move.
What can you export from Stan Store?
Stan lets you download your customer list and your sales history as CSV files; everything else has to be rebuilt by hand. Stan's help center documents two export points, and the difference between them matters.
- Income tab, Download CSV. Stan's help article "How to Access Custom Field Responses from Your Checkout" says you go to the Income tab, filter by product and click Download CSV. Any extra fields you added to checkout (phone number, location and so on) appear as their own columns toward the far right of the file.
- Customers tab export. The same article notes that exporting from the Customers tab does not include those custom field responses. It gives you the contact list, without the extra answers.
So export both: the Customers file for your full list, and one Income file per product so you keep purchase history and checkout answers grouped by offer. Filtering by product also tells you exactly who bought what, which you need when you grant access on the new platform.
| Stan data | Where in Stan | Exportable? | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer names and emails | Customers tab | Yes, CSV | Download the full file; this is your master list |
| Purchases per product | Income tab, filtered by product | Yes, CSV | Download one file per product to map access |
| Checkout custom fields | Income tab only | Yes, in the Income CSV | Keep the far-right columns; they become intake answers or tags |
| Course videos and lessons | Course builder | No documented export | Re-upload from your original files; outline the structure first |
| Community posts | Community | No documented export | Save anything worth keeping; plan a fresh launch post |
| Digital download files | Product setup | Your originals | Use the source files on your computer or cloud drive |
| Active subscriptions | Payments provider | Not transferable as subscriptions | Move subscribers with new checkout links (see the payments section) |
Our September 2026 review of Stan found no documented export for course or community content, and a search of Stan's help center in October 2026 did not turn one up either. Practically, that means your original video files and documents are the real source of truth. If they only exist inside Stan, start collecting them now, before you set a cancellation date.
One more check while you are in the export screens: if you imported an email list into Stan (Stan's help center has a guide for importing an existing list, a Creator Pro feature), make sure those contacts are in your Customers export too. If you are not sure, keep the original import file alongside your new exports.
Where does each Stan Store item go in Coachful?
Almost every Stan object has a direct home in Coachful, and a few do not. The table below maps each one; the "Gap" rows are things to sort out before you switch.
| Stan Store item | Where it goes in Coachful | How it moves |
|---|---|---|
| Link-in-bio storefront | Link-in-bio page that sells, plus an optional full website with blog and custom domain | Rebuilt; swap the link in your social bios on cutover day |
| Customer list | Client and contact records with tags | Imported for you during onboarding from your CSV |
| Checkout custom fields | Intake questions on booking, forms, client tags | Mapped from the Income CSV columns |
| Calendar booking and paid calls | Booking pages with availability rules, buffers and minimum notice; paid sessions and session credits | Recreated; connect Google, Apple/iCloud or Outlook calendar |
| Courses | Courses with modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking | Structure rebuilt; you re-upload videos |
| Digital downloads | Downloads delivered into the client's branded home and app | Re-uploaded from your files |
| Memberships and recurring subscriptions | Subscription offers through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account | New subscription created when each client checks out again |
| Community | Community feed, group chat, direct messages, video events; cohort groups created on program enrollment | Fresh start; invite members by email |
| Lead magnets and email collection | Lead-magnet funnels and email lists | Rebuilt from a funnel template |
| Email broadcasts and flows (Creator Pro) | Broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits | Copy pasted in; Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, can draft rewrites |
| Discount codes | Coupons | Recreated per offer; keep the same names where you can |
| Upsells and order bumps | Order bumps on checkout | Recreated per offer |
| Funnels (Creator Pro) | Booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels | Rebuilt from about 25 funnel templates |
| Meta and Google pixels | Meta Pixel, GA4 and UTM tracking | Paste your existing pixel IDs |
| Affiliate management | Affiliate tracking of links, clicks, conversions and revenue | Gap: payouts are recorded manually, not sent by Coachful |
| Pinterest and TikTok pixels | Not in Coachful's listed integrations | Gap: plan your Pinterest and TikTok ad tracking separately |
| PayPal, Afterpay and Klarna | Not supported; Coachful takes cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe | Gap: tell PayPal buyers they will pay by card |
| Instagram AutoDM | No equivalent in Coachful's documented features | Gap: point your DM keyword replies at your new link-in-bio page |
You also gain things Stan has no slot for: a client record with notes, goals, check-ins and payments in one view; coaching agreements with e-signature sent before the first call; invoices per transaction plus manual invoices; and programs where clients work through weekly goals, daily tasks and habits between sessions.

How long does it take to migrate from Stan Store?
For a typical solo coach with a handful of products and some subscribers, plan on two to four weeks end to end. The build itself takes days; the waiting is mostly for subscribers to reach their next billing date. Here is an example timeline you can adjust.
Days 1 to 2: audit and export
- List every live Stan product: name, price, type (download, course, call, membership), number of buyers.
- Export the Customers CSV and one Income CSV per product.
- Note every active subscription and its next renewal date. This list drives your cutover date.
- Collect original files: videos, PDFs, worksheets, cover images, sales page copy.
- Screenshot each Stan sales page so you can reproduce the copy and layout.
Days 3 to 7: build the new home
- Start the trial on the new platform and connect your Stripe account.
- Recreate offers in order of revenue: subscriptions and paid calls first, then courses, then low-ticket downloads.
- Set up booking pages, connect your calendar, and add intake questions that replace your checkout custom fields.
- Build the link-in-bio page and, if you want one, a full website.
- Rebuild your lead magnet and welcome sequence so new sign-ups land in the right place from day one.
On Coachful, you can hand most of this week to our team: send the build request with your Stan links and files and we build inside your account (more on that below).
Days 8 to 10: test and soft launch
- Buy each offer yourself with a real card and refund the charge, and check the confirmation email, access and calendar invite.
- Import clients and grant course or program access to past buyers.
- Send the announcement email to past buyers who do not have an active subscription.
Days 11 to 30: cutover and subscriber move
- Swap the link in every social bio to the new link-in-bio page.
- Email each subscriber their personal re-subscribe link at least a week before their next Stan renewal.
- Cancel each Stan subscription the moment its replacement is active.
- Unpublish Stan products so no one buys from the old store.
- Cancel your Stan plan after the last subscriber has moved and you have saved final exports.

How do you rebuild products, courses and bookings?
Rebuild by revenue, not by how the old store was laid out. Your recurring offers and paid calls carry the business, so they go live first; a free PDF can wait a day.
Paid calls and coaching packages. In Stan, a paid call is a product with a calendar attached. In Coachful, it becomes a session type on a booking page with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, plus email reminders and, once messaging is enabled, SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before. If you sell packages, use session credits so a client buys five sessions and books them over time. Video links are either built in or auto-created for Zoom, Meet or Teams. Our scheduling software page shows the booking setup in more detail.

Courses. Copy your module and lesson structure exactly first, then upload videos. Coachful courses support modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking, and Coachful has 48 course templates with quizzes if you want to restructure while you move. See courses for coaches for what the builder covers.

Memberships. A Stan membership is usually "pay monthly, get access to a community and some content". In Coachful you can recreate that literally as a subscription offer, or turn it into something with more structure: a multi-week program with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits and check-ins, with a cohort group created automatically when someone enrolls. If you have been meaning to run group programs, scaling from 1-on-1 to group coaching covers the pricing and format choices.
Digital downloads and bundles. Upload the files to resources and deliver them into the client's branded home and app. Bundles let you package a course, downloads and sessions into one offer, the same way you might have stacked products in Stan.
Storefront and website. Your Stan page was probably your whole web presence. You can keep it that simple with Coachful's link-in-bio page that sells, or pick one of 30 designed homepage templates for a full site with a blog, custom domain and SEO settings. Our coach website builder page shows the templates.

Funnels and email. If you were on Creator Pro, you had funnels and email flows. Rebuild the lead magnet funnel first, since every day it is offline costs you sign-ups, then paste your welcome sequence into a multi-step email sequence. Coachful's sequences support triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits.

Here is a short walkthrough of getting a new Coachful account set up, which is the first thing you will do after exporting from Stan:
What happens to payments and subscriptions when you leave Stan Store?
Existing subscriptions do not move to a new platform on their own. A Stripe subscription is created by the platform that set it up and keeps billing on that platform's schedule until it is cancelled there; switching software does not transfer it, pause it or cancel it. The same is true for subscriptions paid through PayPal. Plan for every subscriber to check out once more on the new platform.
That sounds worse than it is. Done in order, each client sees one email, clicks one link and is never charged twice. The rules that keep it clean:
- Never cancel first. If you cancel all Stan subscriptions on day one, some clients will not re-subscribe for weeks, and some never will. Keep the old subscription running until the new one exists.
- Time each move to the renewal date. Ask the client to start the new subscription a few days before their next Stan charge, then cancel the Stan subscription the same day. They pay once for that period.
- Offer a bridge if dates are awkward. If a client renewed on Stan yesterday, give them a coupon on the new platform that covers the overlap (for example, a discount on the first month of the new subscription equal to the unused weeks), so they never pay twice for the same period.
- Keep the price identical unless you announce a change. A migration is not the moment for a quiet price rise. If you are changing price, say so in the email and give the date.
- Handle PayPal payers separately. Coachful does not support PayPal, so anyone who paid through PayPal on Stan will need to pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Tell them in advance.
- Keep a tracker. One row per subscriber: name, Stan renewal date, link sent, new subscription active, Stan subscription cancelled.
On Coachful, payments go through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. There is a 0% Coachful platform fee; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. If you already have a Stripe account you control, you can connect it, but connecting the same account does not make old Stan subscriptions appear as Coachful subscriptions. Treat them as separate until you have cancelled them on Stan.
If you are not sure which Stripe or PayPal account your Stan sales were going to, check your Stan payment settings before you start, and ask Stan support if anything is unclear. Refunds for past Stan orders should also be handled from wherever the original charge was made. For tax treatment of the transition period, check with an accountant. Our coaching payment software page covers how Coachful handles billing.

What should you email clients during the move?
Send three short emails: an announcement to everyone, a personal re-subscribe email to each subscriber, and a reminder to anyone who has not moved yet. Keep them plain, specific and focused on what the client needs to do. Replace the bracketed parts and paste.
Email 1: announcement to past buyers
Subject: My coaching has a new home (your access is ready)
Hi [First name],
I have moved my coaching, courses and booking to a new platform so everything you need is in one place: your sessions, your materials and messages with me.
Your access to [product name] is already set up. Log in here: [login link].
From now on, book sessions at [booking link]. My old store link will stop working on [date].
Any questions, just reply to this email.
[Your name]
Email 2: subscriber move (send a week before their renewal)
Subject: Action needed: keep your [membership name] going
Hi [First name],
I am moving [membership name] to a new platform. Your current subscription renews on [Stan renewal date]. To keep your access without a gap, please start your subscription on the new platform here: [checkout link].
The price stays the same at [price] per [month]. Once your new subscription is active, I will cancel the old one myself, so you will not be charged twice. If you paid with PayPal before, the new checkout takes card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
This takes about two minutes. If anything looks off, reply and I will sort it out.
[Your name]
Email 3: reminder (three days before renewal)
Subject: Quick reminder about your [membership name] access
Hi [First name],
Your old subscription renews on [date]. To move over and avoid a gap, use this link: [checkout link]. I will cancel the old subscription for you as soon as the new one is active.
If you would rather not continue, no action is needed; just reply and I will cancel on my side.
[Your name]
Booked clients: one line to add
If a client already has a session booked through Stan, add: "Your session on [date] at [time] is still on. I have moved it to my new calendar, and you will get a fresh invite from [new platform]." Then recreate that booking manually so it appears in your new calendar.
These are service emails about something the client bought, but if you add promotion (a new offer, a launch), US rules for commercial email apply. The FTC's CAN-SPAM Act compliance guide lists the basics: accurate sender details, honest subject lines, a valid physical postal address, a clear way to opt out, and opt-outs honored within 10 business days. Only import contacts who agreed to hear from you, and carry over anyone who previously unsubscribed as unsubscribed.

What does the cutover checklist look like?
Cutover day is the day your link in bio changes. Everything in the table should be true before that day, except the last rows, which happen after subscribers have moved.
| Task | When | Done when |
|---|---|---|
| Customers CSV and per-product Income CSVs saved | Before building | Files open correctly and row counts match your Stan dashboard |
| Original course videos and files collected | Before building | Every lesson has a file you own outside Stan |
| Stripe account connected on the new platform | Build week | A test payment lands in your Stripe balance |
| Every paid offer recreated at the same price | Build week | Each offer has a working checkout link |
| Booking pages live, calendar synced | Build week | A test booking appears in your calendar with a video link |
| Intake questions replace checkout custom fields | Build week | New bookings collect the same answers Stan did |
| Clients imported and access granted | Soft launch | A past buyer can log in and see their course |
| Lead magnet funnel and welcome emails live | Soft launch | A test sign-up receives the first email |
| Pixels added (Meta, GA4) | Soft launch | Test events show in each ad platform |
| Announcement email sent | Cutover day | Sent to past buyers without active subscriptions |
| Link in bio swapped on every profile | Cutover day | Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and email signature point to the new page |
| Stan products unpublished | Cutover day | No new sales can happen on Stan |
| Each subscriber moved and old subscription cancelled | Days 11 to 30 | Tracker shows every row complete |
| Final Stan exports saved, plan cancelled | After the last subscriber moves | No active Stan subscriptions remain |
Keep the final exports somewhere safe. You may need old purchase records for refunds, chargebacks or bookkeeping after the Stan account is closed.
Why move from Stan Store to Coachful?
Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six tools. Coachful is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds a 4.5 Trustpilot rating from 21 reviews.

For a coach leaving Stan, the difference is what happens after the sale. On Stan, a purchase ends at checkout and a delivery email. On Coachful, the buyer becomes a client with a record: their goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, and a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk so you can see who needs attention. Before each session, Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, can brief you from that live data, and after a recorded session it can summarize what was said. Questions and planning with Michelle are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. See the AI coaching assistant page.
Other things Stan coaches usually end up adding elsewhere, now in one place:
- Coaching agreements with e-signature, sent before the first call and stored on the client record (coaching contracts).
- Invoices per transaction, plus manual invoices.
- Two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync.
- More than 40 ready-to-film program templates and coaching flow templates.
- ICF credential tracking that counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds.
- A Fitness & Nutrition pack for fitness coaches: workout builder, client workout logging, nutrition targets, meal plans and progress photos (fitness and nutrition). Fitness coaches comparing options can also read Stan Store alternatives for fitness coaches.
- Team plans with coach seats, per-coach availability and staff permissions.

What Coachful does not do. Be clear on this before you move. Coachful has no PayPal and no Afterpay or Klarna. It has no permanent free plan. It is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. It has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and no stock exercise videos (coaches attach their own). Affiliate tracking covers links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually. It is not a course marketplace and has no third-party plugins. If Instagram AutoDM or Klarna drives a big share of your sales, weigh that honestly.
No lock-in on the way out either. Coachful exports your full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses), and courses can be exported too. Monthly plans cancel in one click. Plans are flat monthly, lower plans cap the number of clients and Pro is unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).
Life coaches weighing the move can also read Stan Store alternatives for life coaches, and if you are new to running a coaching business, start at Coachful for new coaches.
Can Coachful import your clients and build your setup for you?
Yes. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the build itself can be handed to our team through the white-glove service on any plan.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create > We'll build it for you in your account (or the "Want us to build it for you?" card on the Website, Funnels and Programs pages), you describe what you want built and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files. For a Stan migration, that means pasting your Stan store link and sales page links, and attaching your logo, photos, copy and documents. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Read the full details in Coachful's free white-glove service.

What you can ask for in a migration request:
- A website or link-in-bio page that replaces your Stan storefront.
- Offer and sales pages rebuilt from your Stan product pages.
- Funnels: lead magnet, booking, application or checkout.
- Programs and coaching flows, including turning a Stan membership into a structured program.
- Course outlines and written material (you record or upload the videos).
- Email sequences and newsletters, forms and worksheets, lead quizzes, events and automations.
Two rules apply. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and any gap is left for you to fill. And the service does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Some recent anonymized builds show the range. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi had their homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. A business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. A leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. A real-estate and money coach got a year-long cohort program with an application form, an eight-page site and a free nine-day bootcamp funnel.

How to start: start a free trial, connect Stripe, then open Create and send one build request with your Stan links, your exported CSVs and your files. While the team builds, work through the subscriber tracker so your emails are ready to go out once checkout links exist.
Migrating from somewhere other than Stan as well? The same subscriber-first approach is in how to switch from Paperbell and how to migrate from a discontinued coaching CRM.
Frequently asked questions
Can I export my customers from Stan Store?
Yes. Stan's help center documents a CSV export from the Customers tab and a Download CSV button on the Income tab. Only the Income export includes custom checkout field answers, so download both, filtering the Income tab by product.
Will my Stan subscribers move to the new platform automatically?
No. Subscriptions keep billing on the platform that created them until they are cancelled there. Each subscriber needs to check out once on the new platform, and you cancel their Stan subscription the same day so nobody pays twice.
Can I export my Stan courses?
Stan does not document a course export. Plan to rebuild the module and lesson structure and re-upload videos from your original files. If your only copy of a video is inside Stan, collect your originals before you cancel.
How long does a Stan Store migration take?
Usually two to four weeks for a solo coach. Building the new setup takes a few days; most of the time goes to letting each subscriber reach their renewal date so you can move them without a gap or a double charge.
Should I cancel Stan Store before or after moving?
After. Keep Stan running until every subscriber has moved and you have saved final exports. Unpublish Stan products on cutover day so no new sales happen there, then cancel the plan once nothing is left billing.
What happens to clients who paid with PayPal?
Coachful does not support PayPal, so those clients will pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through your Stripe account. Mention this in the re-subscribe email so it is not a surprise at checkout.
Does Coachful have a link-in-bio page like Stan?
Yes. Coachful includes a link-in-bio page that sells, and you can add a full website with a blog, custom domain and 30 designed homepage templates. On cutover day you swap the link in your social bios to the new page.
What is Coachful's white-glove service, and does it cost extra?
It is a build service on every plan at no extra cost: you send a request from Create with up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds your website, funnels, offers, programs, course outlines or emails inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ongoing marketing.
Will I lose my email list when I leave Stan?
Not if you export it first. Your Customers CSV is your contact list, and Coachful imports clients for you during onboarding. Bring over unsubscribes as unsubscribed, and only import contacts who agreed to hear from you.
Is there anything on Stan that Coachful cannot replace?
A few things: Instagram AutoDM, PayPal, Afterpay and Klarna, and Pinterest and TikTok pixels are not in Coachful's documented features, and affiliate payouts are recorded manually. If those drive a large share of your sales, factor that in before switching.
