The 10 Best Merkora Alternatives, Compared

The 10 Best Merkora Alternatives, Compared

The best Merkora alternatives are the tools that cover the part of your client journey Merkora leaves out. Merkora gives coaches a clean booking page, hosted courses, digital products and live events for a low monthly price, and it is free until your first paid sale. What it does not list is everything that happens between sessions: programs with habits and check-ins, contracts, a community, email marketing, a client app or calendar sync. So the deciding question is simple: do you only need a storefront that takes bookings, or do you need one place that runs the whole coaching relationship?

For most coaches who deliver programs rather than single sessions, our pick is Coachful, because it handles attracting, enrolling, delivering and retaining clients under one login, with a free white-glove build to get set up. We make Coachful, so we have laid out every price, limit and trade-off below so you can check our reasoning. The other nine tools each win in a specific situation, and we say which one.

Every vendor price in this guide is as listed in October 2026. Merkora is new and we found no public reviews of it on Trustpilot, so where reviewer sentiment would normally go, we say that plainly instead.

What does Merkora do, and where does it stop?

Merkora is a booking, course and live-event page for independent experts, with a generous free tier and a flat Professional plan. It describes itself as built for coaches, therapists, consultants and other independent experts, each with one branded public page at yourname.merkora.app.

Merkora homepage with its headline and sign-up button
Merkora's homepage in October 2026.

According to Merkora's features and pricing pages, as listed in October 2026, the product includes:

  • Booking with automatic confirmations and reminders, intake forms, a waitlist, and session packages where clients see their remaining balance.
  • A cancellation and no-show policy that issues wallet credits instead of cash refunds.
  • Hosted video courses, digital downloads and free lead magnets with email capture.
  • Built-in live streaming for events and group programs; 1:1 calls run through a video integration or your existing setup.
  • Payments through your own Stripe account, with 0% platform fee on every plan ("Merkora earns $0 from your sales"). Stripe's processing fees still apply.
  • CSV export of client history: bookings, purchases and wallet balance.

Pricing is unusual. The Free plan costs $0 "until your first paid sale". After that you have 14 days to move to Professional, or new bookings and sales pause. Free also caps live events at 10 participants and 25 participant hours a month, includes 10 GB of storage, has no recordings and shows Merkora branding. Professional is listed at $79 a month, with live events up to 200 participants, 500 participant hours, 10 hours of recordings a month, 200 GB of storage, session packages and bundles, advanced analytics and no Merkora branding. A founding-member offer of $29 a month for 12 months, then $39 a month for life, is limited to 50 spots, and the page does not show how many remain. There is no time-limited trial, no annual price, and a 30-day money-back guarantee on Professional.

The gaps matter more than the price. Merkora's features page does not mention a mobile app, a community, contracts, invoices, email marketing or Google and Outlook calendar sync. The pricing page also says "Everything unlimited, no per-feature caps" while listing the usage limits above, so read the plan table rather than the headline. One more practical note: the product lives at merkora.app, and merkora.com is a parked domain, so check the address before you sign up.

What does a coaching client journey need from software?

A coaching practice moves every client through four stages: attract, enroll, deliver and retain. Merkora is strongest in the middle two for single sessions and courses. Most coaches who outgrow it do so because the delivery and retention stages need more than a booking calendar.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

Attract: getting found and capturing interest

This stage needs a website or link-in-bio page, a lead magnet, an email list and some way to follow up. Merkora has a public page and free lead magnets with email capture, but no listed email marketing, so follow-up happens in another tool. Coaches who rely on referrals can get by here with very little. Coaches building an audience need broadcasts and sequences.

Enroll: turning interest into a paying client

Enrollment needs a booking page for discovery calls, intake questions, checkout, payment plans and a signed agreement before the first session. Merkora covers booking, intake forms and Stripe checkout. Contracts and invoices are not on its features page. If you sell a 3-month package, a written coaching agreement is one of the most useful documents you can have (see our guide to coaching contracts), and it helps when it is stored on the client record.

Deliver: the work between sessions

This is where coaching results come from, and where tools differ most. Delivery needs sessions, but also programs with weekly goals, habits, check-ins, worksheets, a place for a group to talk, and a client view that shows progress. Merkora has courses and live events, which suits teaching. It does not list habits, goals, check-ins or a community, which suits coaching less well.

Retain: renewals, referrals and knowing who is drifting

Retention needs visibility. Which clients have gone quiet? Who is close to the end of a package? Who would renew if asked? Merkora's analytics cover revenue. Coaching tools that track check-in rates and client status let you act before a client drops off.

A note for the therapists and health practitioners in Merkora's audience: coaching is not therapy or medical treatment. If a client describes symptoms, a crisis or a condition that needs diagnosis, refer them to a licensed professional. None of the general coaching tools here, Coachful included, are meant for clinical record-keeping; Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, so clinical notes belong in a clinical system.

Which Merkora alternatives cover which stage?

The short answer: only a few tools cover all four stages, and Coachful is the one that does it with programs, community, website and email in one subscription. The table below maps each tool against the journey.

Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, strength of between-session delivery, total stack cost at realistic client counts, and setup effort (including the free white-glove build where it exists).

How did we choose and rank these tools?

We pictured one realistic practice and checked each tool against it. The example coach has 15 one-to-one clients on a 3-month package, runs one 8-week group program for about 12 people twice a year, sends a monthly newsletter, and wants a simple website. That scenario is illustrative, not a customer story, but it is a common shape for a coach who has outgrown a free booking page.

For each tool we read the vendor's own pricing and features pages and the review data in our research notes, then asked four questions. Can the coach run all four journey stages without a second login? What does the client do between sessions? What does the full stack cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients? How long until it is live? We did not run hands-on tests; where we mention reviews, we say whose. Direct substitutes for Merkora's booking-and-packages core sit in the middle of the list because they solve the same problem with more polish but few extra stages.

1. Coachful: the whole client journey in one login

Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and each client gets one branded app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for anyone replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds a Trustpilot rating of 4.5 from 21 reviews.

Where Merkora stops at the booking and the course, Coachful keeps going. Here is how it maps to each stage.

Attract. A section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus an Import website option if you already have one. Booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels support pixels and UTM tracking, and a link-in-bio page can sell directly. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits are included in your Coachful membership, so the lead magnet and the follow-up live in the same place.

Enroll. Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Calls run on built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Payments go through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee (since August 2026), so you pay only the processor. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record.

Deliver. This is the main reason to choose Coachful over Merkora. Multi-week programs carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Courses with modules, drip and completion tracking, downloads, videos and events land in the client's branded home and app. When someone enrolls in a program, a cohort group is created automatically, with a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events. More than 40 ready-to-film program templates and 48 course templates with quizzes mean you rarely start from a blank page.

A client's view of an enrolled group program, with the current week and members (demo data).

Retain. Each client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments, sessions and an AI briefing, and shows a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from that live practice data: she briefs you before sessions, summarizes recorded sessions, drafts emails and builds programs. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. An optional AI Coach lets selected clients chat with an AI version of you between sessions, configured by you. If you are working toward an ICF credential, Coachful counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports a client coaching log (more on ICF hour tracking; the thresholds themselves are set by the International Coaching Federation).

The video below walks through the client journey from the client's side: what they see after enrolling, where check-ins appear and how progress shows up.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", describe what you want, and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides or copy. The Coachful team then builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. That can be a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline with written material, an email sequence, a form, a lead quiz or an automation. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. Recent anonymized examples include a menopause and midlife health coach who started from nothing and got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation, and a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away who got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read the full details in our white-glove service guide.

What Coachful does not do. It has no PayPal, which matters little if you came from Merkora because Merkora is Stripe-only too. There is no permanent free plan, so Merkora's "free until your first sale" tier has no direct equivalent; there is a free trial. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. It is not HIPAA-certified and is not for clinical records or insurance billing. It has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, no Salesforce or HubSpot integration, and no routing forms that pick a host from form answers. The affiliate program tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually.

Price. Plans are flat and monthly. Lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, team plans add coach seats, and monthly plans cancel in one click (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). 2. AttractWell: marketing-heavy all-in-one with texting

AttractWell is the closest thing on this list to a marketing suite for coaches, combining a website, funnels, blog, CRM, email and texting, booking, contracts, invoicing and a store. It suits coaches, course creators, authors and speakers who sell to a growing list.

AttractWell homepage introducing its all-in-one website, funnel and CRM platform for coaches
AttractWell's homepage in October 2026.

Plans are priced by contacts and features, as listed in October 2026. Starter is $69 a month with 500 contacts, 100 texts, 5 automations, one course "vault", 2 booking links and no call packages. Basic is $99 a month with 1,000 contacts, 1,000 texts, 100 automations, 3 vaults, 10 booking links and 5 call packages. Premium at $129 a month unlocks unlimited booking links and call packages with 4,000 contacts. Pro ($179) and Diamond ($239) raise the limits further, and Team starts at $600 for six accounts. Every plan has a 0% transaction fee, and instead of a free trial your first month costs $1. On Trustpilot, AttractWell shows 4.6 from 21 reviews.

The strength is breadth on the attract side: SMS, many automations and a Facebook-style community with scheduled posts. The catch is the tiering. Session packages, the closest match to Merkora's packages, are missing on Starter and capped at 5 on Basic. Courses are capped too, and unlimited vaults and classes cost an extra $17 a month. Between-session coaching work such as habits and daily check-ins is not part of its listing.

Pick it over Coachful if SMS marketing and a large contact list are central to how you sell, and you want texting limits built into one marketing plan.

3. Podia: courses, downloads and community for creators who also coach

If Merkora appealed to you mostly for courses and digital downloads, Podia is the more mature version of that idea. Its pricing page, checked today, lists courses, digital downloads, coaching bookings, community, events, a website and blog, landing pages, email marketing and sales tax handling on every plan.

Podia shows prices billed yearly: Mover at $42 a month ($504 a year) with up to 100 email subscribers, 50 products and a 5% transaction fee; Shaker at $84 a month ($1,008 a year) with 500 subscribers, 150 products, no Podia fee, affiliates and PayPal; and Earthquaker at $150 a month ($1,800 a year) with 1,000 subscribers and unlimited products. Customers are unlimited on all plans. There is a 14-day free trial with no card required, and refunds within 72 hours of your most recent payment. Stripe or PayPal processing fees apply on top.

Podia accepts PayPal on Shaker and above, which Merkora and Coachful do not. It also helps with migration: up to 50 products on Mover and 150 on higher plans. The limits for coaches are the coaching depth and the subscriber caps. Coaching is a booking-and-pay product, not a program with habits, check-ins or client status, and a list beyond 1,000 subscribers costs more. The 5% fee on Mover also undercuts Merkora's 0% message if you sell a lot on the cheapest plan. Our full roundup of Podia alternatives goes deeper.

Pick it over Coachful if most of your revenue comes from self-paced courses and downloads, coaching is a side offer, and you want PayPal at checkout.

4. Coach Recap: a lean client workspace with a real free tier

Coach Recap is the most direct answer for coaches who liked Merkora's free entry point but want better session records. Its free Starter plan is free forever for up to 3 active clients, with no credit card.

Coach Recap homepage presenting its client notes, booking and session tracking tool for solo coaches
Coach Recap's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Professional is $29 a month for up to 20 active clients, and Business is $79 a month for unlimited clients. "Active" means a session or booking in the last 90 days. There is no cut of client payments; Stripe's standard fees apply. No annual price is shown, and Coach Recap's pricing page displays euro prices in some regions.

Feature-wise, it is built for solo coaches, and the site says it is not aimed at agencies or enterprises. Client profiles hold session history, notes, goals and action items, all searchable. The booking page supports buffers and notice rules, with two-way Google Calendar and Outlook sync, which Merkora does not list, and email reminders at 24 hours, 1 hour and 15 minutes. Programs are session packs or monthly subscriptions paid through Stripe, with sessions used and remaining tracked. Intake forms, check-ins, contracts and private chat are included.

What it lacks is the attract stage: no website builder, funnels or email marketing appear in its notes, and no community or courses. It is a strong session-and-notes tool rather than a business system.

Pick it over Coachful if you have three clients or fewer, want to pay nothing for now, and only need booking, notes and contracts.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

5. Paperbell: the one-price admin tool Merkora is often compared with

AI search answers often suggest Merkora as a Paperbell alternative, and the comparison is fair: both are built around booking, packages and payments for solo coaches. Paperbell adds contracts, a client portal and a simple website.

Paperbell homepage presenting its booking, packages and payments software for solo coaches
Paperbell's homepage in October 2026.

It has one plan: $97 a month, or $80.83 a month billed annually, with unlimited clients, sessions, files, packages and traffic, as listed in October 2026. Paperbell says there are no additional transaction fees; Stripe or PayPal processor fees apply. A "Try For Free" button is on the pricing page, and its help center described the trial in July 2026 as 7 days with the public site offline and client messages and SMS off. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee. Trustpilot shows 3.5 from 14 reviews.

Against Merkora, Paperbell's advantages are contracts, a portal and PayPal. Against Coachful, the gaps are the same ones Merkora has: no courses, no community, no goal or habit tracking, and no native mobile app (mobile browser only). At $97 for one coach, it is also one of the pricier single-purpose options here. Our Paperbell alternatives page and the life coach version compare it in more detail.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell only one-to-one packages, need PayPal, and want a single price that never changes with client count.

6. CoachVantage: practice management priced per coach

CoachVantage is a practice manager with CRM, scheduling, contracts and e-signatures, invoices, a client portal, group programs and small courses. Its pricing is per coach with unlimited contacts and engagements, which makes it cheap at higher client counts.

CoachVantage homepage presenting its coaching practice management and CRM software
CoachVantage's homepage in October 2026.

Clarity costs $39 a month ($35 billed annually) and caps you at 2 group programs, 2 sales pages, 2 booking pages, 4 e-signatures a month, 2 contract templates, 2 courses and 500 MB. Aha! costs $59 a month ($53 annually) with unlimited group programs (with cohorts), sales pages, booking pages and e-signatures, plus 5 contract templates and 5 courses. There is a 14-day free trial with no card, and "no commissions on the revenue you earn"; Stripe or PayPal fees apply.

The appeal over Merkora is contracts and invoicing built into the same place as your clients. The trade-offs, from older profile data, are that it has no team or multi-coach features and that its built-in video (CVMeet) is reported as weak, with many users still using Zoom. Clarity's caps on e-signatures and booking pages bite quickly if you run several offers.

Pick it over Coachful if you mostly need a CRM with contracts and invoices, run one or two group programs, and want the lowest per-coach price with unlimited clients.

7. Practice Better: for wellness practitioners who chart

Merkora names therapists among its audience, and Practice Better is the tool on this list built closest to that world. It is practice management for wellness and nutrition practitioners: scheduling, telehealth, charting, billing, programs and a client portal.

Practice Better homepage presenting its practice management platform for wellness practitioners
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Sprout is free for 3 clients. Starter is $35 a month ($25 annually) for 10 clients. Professional is $69 ($59 annually) for 300 clients. Plus is $99 ($89 annually) with unlimited clients and 3 admins, and Team is $155 ($145 annually) for 2 practitioners, with more at $50 each. Trials run 14 days on most paid plans and 30 days on Team. Payments run through Practice Better Payments, powered by Stripe; rates are not listed. Trustpilot shows 3.8 from 87 reviews.

Charting is the reason to choose it. If your notes are clinical, a coaching platform is the wrong home for them. The catches: evergreen programs, portal branding, a custom URL and SMS only start on Plus at $99, there is no website builder or funnel pages, and you get one practitioner per account below Team. Clients who come for coaching rather than care may find it more clinical than they need.

Pick it over Coachful if you are a licensed practitioner who keeps charts and needs telehealth and billing built for a practice. See also our SimplePractice alternatives for coaches.

8. Kajabi: the established creator platform, at a premium

Kajabi is the big, well-known all-in-one for course creators and experts. Its pricing page, checked today, lists courses, communities, coaching, digital downloads, memberships, podcasts, a website builder, funnels, email marketing and a branded mobile app.

Prices are high next to Merkora. Basic is $179 a month, or $143 billed annually, with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 website, 1 community and 2 admin users. Growth is $249 ($199 annually) with 50 products and 25,000 contacts. Pro is $499 ($399 annually) with unlimited products, 100,000 contacts and 3 websites. Kajabi advertises "No hidden fees. No revenue sharing" and offers a free trial; the length was not shown in the section we read.

The 5-product limit on Basic is easy to hit if you sell a course, a membership, a coaching package and a couple of downloads. Kajabi's coaching tools are built for selling and scheduling sessions; the habit and check-in style of between-session delivery is not its focus. For a coach-specific view, read our Kajabi alternatives for life coaches.

Pick it over Coachful if you run a large audience business where courses, memberships and a podcast matter more than one-to-one coaching, and the budget is there.

9. Quenza: between-session exercises without the business side

Quenza fills the exact gap Merkora leaves: it is a client-engagement tool for coaches and therapists, with activities, worksheets, programs, chat and a client app. It does not try to cover booking or payments.

Quenza homepage presenting its client activities, worksheets and programs app for coaches
Quenza's homepage in October 2026.

As listed in October 2026, Spark is $25 a month ($20 annually) for 10 clients, Growth $50 ($40) for 250 clients, Impact $125 ($100) for 400 clients, and Collective $160 ($128) for up to 3 professionals and 500 clients. Beyond is custom. The trial is 30 days with no card. Trustpilot shows 4.3 from 8 reviews.

Invoicing and digital products are marked as planned, so today there is no client payment processing at all. Older profile data also notes no scheduling or video calls. In practice, many coaches pair Quenza with a booking tool such as Merkora, which means two logins and two places a client has to check. Our Quenza alternatives list covers tools that combine both.

Pick it over Coachful if you already have booking and payments sorted, and you only want a library of worksheets and exercises for clients.

10. Coaches Console: the long-standing business system

Coaches Console has been around for years and offers a CRM, calendar, website, client portal, email, invoicing and, on its top plan, courses. It is aimed at coaches who want one system and are comfortable paying for it.

Coaches Console homepage presenting its business system for coaches with CRM and website
Coaches Console's homepage in October 2026.

Core Console System is $197 a month ($166.42 billed annually) for a single coach account, with client limits not specified. Total Console System is $297 a month ($249.75 annually) with unlimited products and courses. There is no free trial; billing details are required at signup, with a 100% money-back guarantee in the first 30 days. Transaction fees are not stated, and there are no setup fees.

It has the highest entry price in the coaching admin group, roughly two and a half times Merkora's Professional list price. Reviewers in older profile data describe the interface as dated. For a coach leaving Merkora because of missing features, it covers more ground, but at a cost that only makes sense if you value its specific workflows.

Pick it over Coachful if you want a long-established vendor and its CRM-plus-website setup, and the monthly cost is not a deciding factor.

What does each option cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

At 15 clients the cheapest working setups are Coach Recap and CoachVantage, but neither covers the attract stage or delivers programs with habits and community. The table uses monthly list prices as listed in October 2026 for the plan that fits each client count.

Should you buy an all-in-one or assemble a stack?

An all-in-one usually wins on total cost and client experience once you need more than booking. An assembled stack wins only when you need one tool's specialist strength. Here are three real combinations built from the prices above, using the example coach with 15 clients and one group program.

StackToolsMonthly list priceLogins for the clientWhat is still missing
CoachfulCoachful onlySolo: $49/month for up to 20 clients1PayPal, wearable sync
Merkora + QuenzaBooking and courses + worksheets$79 + $50 = $1292Contracts, email marketing, community, calendar sync
Coach Recap + PodiaSessions and notes + courses, email, community$29 + $42 (yearly, 5% fee) = $712Habits and check-ins tied to programs
Paperbell + PodiaPackages and contracts + courses and email$97 + $84 (yearly) = $1812Habits, check-ins, client status

The hidden cost of a stack is not on any pricing page. Each extra login is another place for a client to forget, another set of reminders to configure, and another export when you leave. Before you add a second tool, ask whether the client would notice the difference if both jobs lived in one app.

How would you set up a Merkora-style practice in Coachful?

The quickest route is to rebuild what you sell on Merkora first, then add the between-session layer Merkora lacks. Here is a step-by-step version for the example coach, with what the client sees at each step.

A monitor showing a monthly session calendar and a tablet showing coaching offer cards
Coachful's session calendar on a monitor beside the Offers page on a tablet.
  1. Request the build. Open Create, choose the free build option, paste your merkora.app page link and upload your logo and photos. Ask for a homepage, a booking funnel for a free discovery call and a checkout page for your 3-month package. The client will later see a branded site on your own domain.
  2. Connect Stripe and calendars. Link your own Stripe Connect account and your Google, Apple or Outlook calendar. Set buffers and minimum notice. The client sees only times you are actually free, in their own time zone.
  3. Recreate packages and credits. Merkora's session packages map to paid sessions and session credits. Add intake questions to the booking form. The client books, pays and answers intake in one flow.
  4. Add the agreement. Upload your coaching agreement so it is sent for e-signature before the first call. The client signs once, and the signed copy sits on their record.
  5. Build the program. Start from one of the program templates and set weekly goals, daily tasks, a morning check-in and two or three habits. The client opens the app each morning and sees today's tasks and a short check-in.
  6. Launch the group. Enroll your group program participants; their cohort group is created automatically. Schedule group calls as events. Clients see a feed, chat and the next call in the same app.
  7. Move your courses. Courses, clients and content are imported for you during onboarding. Clients find courses in their branded home next to their program.
  8. Set the follow-up. Turn your Merkora lead magnet into a lead-magnet funnel with a three-email sequence. New subscribers get the download and a nudge to book a call.

For booking-specific detail, see our scheduling software page; for groups, group coaching software.

What should you watch for when migrating from Merkora?

The biggest risk is losing client balances and history. Plan the move around your active packages, not around the calendar.

  • Export first. Merkora lets you export client history (bookings, purchases and wallet balance) to CSV. Do this before you change anything, and keep the file.
  • Honour wallet credits. Merkora issues credits instead of cash refunds for late cancellations. Record each client's balance and load it as session credits in the new tool so nobody loses what they paid for.
  • Watch the 14-day clock. If you are on Merkora's Free plan and make a sale, you have 14 days before new bookings and sales pause. Do not start a migration in that window unless the new tool is ready.
  • Re-host course videos. Merkora hosts your videos, so download originals before cancelling and upload them to the new platform.
  • Redirect your link. Your yourname.merkora.app address will stop working when you leave. Update bios, email signatures and old posts to point at your new page.
  • Check the founder rate. If you hold a founding-member spot, its value is the lifetime $39 rate after year one. Weigh that against what you would save by not needing extra tools.

What mistakes do coaches make when replacing Merkora?

The common mistake is comparing sticker prices instead of stacks. A $25 tool plus a $79 tool costs more than many single platforms, and the client pays in attention.

  • Choosing for the free tier. Merkora's and Coach Recap's free entries are useful for testing, but your choice should fit you at 15 or 40 clients, not 3.
  • Ignoring between-session work. If your offer promises change over 12 weeks, the client needs something to do on day 4. Booking tools do not provide it.
  • Skipping the agreement. Packages without a signed agreement create refund disputes. Pick a tool that stores e-signed contracts.
  • Underestimating caps. Read limits on products (Kajabi Basic), call packages (AttractWell Starter), e-signatures (CoachVantage Clarity) and subscribers (Podia) before you commit.
  • Putting clinical notes in a coaching tool. If you diagnose or treat, use a clinical system and refer coaching-only work separately.

Choose Coachful if you deliver programs and want attract, enroll, deliver and retain in one login, with a free build to get started. Choose another tool only when its specialist strength matches your practice exactly.

  • Best overall: Coachful, for coaches who want programs, habits, check-ins, community, website and email in one app.
  • Best for SMS-led marketing: AttractWell.
  • Best for course-first creators: Podia.
  • Best free start: Coach Recap, for up to 3 active clients.
  • Best one-price admin: Paperbell.
  • Best cheap CRM with contracts: CoachVantage.
  • Best for practitioners who chart: Practice Better.
  • Best for large audience businesses: Kajabi.
  • Best add-on worksheets: Quenza.
  • Best long-established system: Coaches Console.

Merkora itself remains a reasonable choice if you sell single sessions and courses, have no need for contracts or email marketing, and can secure a founding-member rate. Just keep in mind that it is new, with no public reviews yet.

Frequently asked questions

Is Merkora really free?

Merkora's Free plan costs $0 only until your first paid sale. After that, you have 14 days to upgrade to Professional, listed at $79 a month in October 2026, or new bookings and sales pause. There is no time-limited trial.

What is Merkora's founding-member price?

Merkora lists a founding-member offer of $29 a month for 12 months, then $39 a month for life, limited to 50 spots. The page does not show how many spots remain, so check before you plan around it.

Are there reviews of Merkora?

We found no public reviews of Merkora on Trustpilot when we checked in October 2026. The product appears new, so judge it on a hands-on trial of the Free plan rather than on reputation.

Does Merkora charge transaction fees?

No. Merkora lists a 0% platform fee on all plans, with payments going to your own Stripe account. Stripe's standard processing fees still apply.

What is the best Merkora alternative for group coaching?

Coachful is our pick, because enrolling a client in a program creates a cohort group automatically, with a feed, chat and video events next to the program's goals and check-ins. CoachVantage's Aha! plan and Podia's community are alternatives if you need less structure.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

Every Coachful plan includes a free build service: you describe what you need, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It covers websites, funnels, programs, course outlines, email sequences and more, but not videos, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.

Can I move my Merkora clients to another platform?

Yes. Merkora lets you export client history, including bookings, purchases and wallet balances, to CSV. In Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and you can load remaining balances as session credits.

Is Coachful suitable for therapists coming from Merkora?

Only for coaching work. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and is not built for clinical records or insurance billing, so therapy notes belong in a clinical system such as a practice management tool built for licensed practitioners.

Can I use Coachful at no cost, the way Merkora's entry plan works?

Not permanently. Coachful offers a free trial, and after it you move to a paid plan. Its plans are flat monthly prices, with lower plans capping client numbers and Pro unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).

Which Merkora alternatives accept PayPal?

Podia (Shaker and above), Paperbell and CoachVantage list PayPal among their processors. Merkora and Coachful both use Stripe, and Coachful also supports Razorpay.
