Mighty Networks vs Podia (2026): Which Fits Coaches Better?

Mighty Networks vs Podia comes down to what you sell. Mighty Networks is built around a community: members, spaces, courses, live events and Mighty-branded mobile apps, with a 0.5% to 2% platform fee on sales. Podia is a simpler storefront for courses, downloads, webinars, coaching products and a small community, with a website and email included and no platform fee from its middle plan up. Neither one runs 1:1 coaching well: there are no client habits, check-ins or per-client plans in either, and Mighty Networks has no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts at all.
We make Coachful, a coaching platform, so read this with that in mind. Every vendor price and limit below comes from the vendors' own pricing pages and help docs as listed in October 2026, and we say plainly where each tool beats ours.
What is the short answer on Mighty Networks vs Podia?
Pick Mighty Networks if the community is the product. Pick Podia if you sell a handful of digital products and want the cheapest simple storefront. If you coach individual clients through programs, neither is built for that job.
- A paid membership or community-led course: Mighty Networks. Spaces, livestreams, events, member apps and AI tools like People Magic are its core, and its plans are priced around hosts, moderators and livestream hours.
- A few courses, templates and webinars sold from a simple site: Podia. It includes a website, email and checkout, has unlimited customers on every plan, and charges 0% platform fees on Shaker and Earthquaker.
- Group programs with cohorts: Mighty Networks handles the group side better; Podia's community is lighter. Both leave the 1:1 side to other tools.
- 1:1 or hybrid coaching where clients book sessions, sign an agreement and work on habits between calls: neither. That is where a coaching platform such as Coachful fits, which we cover honestly in its own section below.
How do Mighty Networks and Podia compare side by side?
On the features coaches care about, Mighty Networks wins on community depth and apps, Podia wins on simplicity, email and fees, and both lack client management.
We rank on four things that decide a coaching business: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort (including whether someone builds it for you).
| Platform | Best for | 1:1 booking | Agreements | Habits and check-ins | Community | Courses | Mobile app | Platform fee | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches delivering programs and 1:1 work, solo or small team | Yes, with calendar sync, reminders, paid sessions and credits | Yes, e-signature before the first call | Yes, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins | Feed, group chat, DMs, events, automatic cohort groups | Yes, with drip and completion tracking | Lists, broadcasts, sequences with branching | Client app with the coach's branding inside the Coachful app | 0% |
| Mighty Networks | Paid communities and community-led courses | No | No | No | Its core strength: spaces, events, livestreams, AI tools | Yes | Kit integration on Scale and up | Mighty-branded apps included; your own branded apps only on Mighty Pro | 2% Launch, 1% Scale, 0.5% Growth and Pro |
| Podia | Simple storefronts for digital products | Sells coaching as a product; no native video calls (September 2026 profile) | No | No | Spaces (25, 100 or unlimited by plan) | Yes | Included, 100 to 1,000 subscribers by plan | No mobile app (September 2026 profile) | 5% Mover, 0% Shaker and Earthquaker |

Public reviews point the same way. On Trustpilot in October 2026, Mighty Networks held 3.3 from 219 reviews and Podia 4.1 from 153 reviews. Coachful held 4.5 from 21 reviews, a much smaller sample, so weigh it accordingly.
How much do Mighty Networks and Podia cost?
Podia is cheaper at every tier: its plans run 49, 99 and 179 dollars a month billed monthly, against Mighty Networks' 95 and 215 dollars a month for Launch and Scale. Mighty Networks also keeps a platform fee on every plan, while Podia drops its fee to zero from Shaker up.
One thing to know before you read Mighty's pricing page: the cards show $79, $179 and $354 "per month" without saying so, but Mighty's own help docs confirm those are annual-billing prices. Monthly billing costs $95 on Launch and $215 on Scale, and Growth has no published monthly price.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually | Platform fee on sales | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Unlimited clients: Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | 0% (processor fees only) | Lower plans cap the number of clients; Pro is unlimited; team plans add coach seats |
| Mighty Networks Launch | $95/mo | $79/mo ($950/yr) | 2% | 3 hosts, 10 moderators, 200 GB, 20 livestream hours a month (100 attendees) |
| Mighty Networks Scale | $215/mo | $179/mo | 1% | 5 hosts, 15 moderators, 500 GB, 30 livestream hours (200 attendees) |
| Mighty Networks Growth | Not published | $354/mo | 0.5% | 10 hosts, 100 moderators, 1 TB, 40 livestream hours (1,000 attendees) |
| Mighty Pro | Custom quote | Custom quote | 0.5% | Unlimited hosts and moderators; your own branded iOS and Android apps |
| Podia Mover | $49/mo | $42/mo ($504/yr) | 5% | 50 products, 500 videos, 25 community spaces, 100 email subscribers |
| Podia Shaker | $99/mo | $84/mo ($1,008/yr) | 0% | 150 products, 1,000 videos, 100 spaces, 500 email subscribers, 1 assistant |
| Podia Earthquaker | $179/mo | $150/mo ($1,800/yr) | 0% | Unlimited products, videos, spaces and assistants; 1,000 email subscribers |
Both offer a 14-day free trial with no credit card. Mighty's trial includes Growth plan features, and Podia's gives full access without choosing a plan. Neither has a free plan. Stripe processing applies on top of every figure above, and Podia lists the standard rate at 2.9% plus 30 cents.

Where the fees change the answer
The sticker price is only half of it. Two break-even points matter:
- Podia Mover vs Shaker: on annual billing, Shaker costs $504 more a year but removes the 5% fee. 5% of sales equals $504 at about $10,080 a year in sales. Above that, Shaker is cheaper, and it also adds affiliates, upsells, PayPal and Zapier.
- Mighty Launch vs Scale: on annual billing, Scale costs $1,198 more a year ($2,148 against $950) and cuts the fee from 2% to 1%. The fee saving only covers that gap at around $119,800 a year in sales. The better reason to upgrade is what Scale adds: Kit, Zapier and affiliate integrations, APIs and MCP, and member export with tags.
As an illustration, take a coach selling $30,000 a year in programs and memberships, billed annually, before Stripe processing:
| Setup | Plan cost a year | Platform fee on $30,000 (example) | Total before processing | Still needed for 1:1 coaching |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | 0% | Plan price only | Nothing extra: booking, agreements, habits and check-ins are included in your Coachful membership |
| Mighty Networks Launch | $950 | $600 (2%) | $1,550 | A scheduler, an e-signature tool, invoicing and a habit or check-in tool |
| Mighty Networks Scale | $2,148 | $300 (1%) | $2,448 | Same as Launch |
| Podia Mover | $504 | $1,500 (5%) | $2,004 | An e-signature tool and a habit or check-in tool; likely a video tool |
| Podia Shaker | $1,008 | $0 | $1,008 | Same as Mover |
The last column is the cost that does not show on either pricing page. Each extra tool adds a subscription and another login for your clients. For the full breakdown of each vendor, see our Mighty Networks pricing guide and Podia pricing guide.
Which is better for community: Mighty Networks or Podia?
Mighty Networks, clearly. Community is what it was built for, and Podia's community is a feature attached to a store.

Mighty Networks gives hosts spaces, courses and events inside one network, livestreams with set monthly hours (20, 30 or 40 depending on plan, with 100 to 1,000 attendees), and AI features it calls AI Cohost and People Magic. Its pricing scales by the people running the community: 3 hosts and 10 moderators on Launch, up to 10 hosts and 100 moderators on Growth. Members join through the Mighty Networks iOS and Android apps, which are included on every plan. Extra livestream capacity and storage come through add-ons whose prices are not shown on the pricing page.
Podia includes community spaces on every plan (25 on Mover, 100 on Shaker, unlimited on Earthquaker). That works for a members-only discussion space next to a course. It does not match Mighty's events, livestreams or apps, and our September 2026 profile notes Podia has no mobile app.
For a coach, the question is whether the community is the product or a support for the product. If people pay to belong, Mighty is the stronger pick. If the community exists to keep program clients engaged, you need it tied to programs and progress, which neither tool does. We compare that in detail in Coachful vs Mighty Networks for coaching communities, and if Mighty is on your shortlist you may also want Circle vs Mighty Networks and Skool vs Mighty Networks.
Which is better for courses and digital products?
Podia, for most solo coaches. It treats courses, downloads, webinars and coaching as products you list and sell, with checkout, a website and email in one place.

Podia's limits are generous on products (50, 150 or unlimited) and videos (500, 1,000 or unlimited), and every plan allows unlimited customers. Shaker adds upsells and affiliate marketing, which help when you sell several products to the same audience. The tight limit is email: Podia includes 100, 500 or 1,000 email subscribers depending on plan, with extra subscribers sold separately at a price not shown on the pricing page. Podia says it never upgrades you automatically when you pass the limit.
Mighty Networks also hosts courses, and its strength is running them inside a community so members discuss lessons and attend live sessions together. That suits cohort-style courses. It is less of a storefront: if you sell ten separate downloads and mini-courses, Podia is the more natural fit.
Coachful's course builder sits in the middle: modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, plus 48 course templates with quizzes, and courses appear in the client's branded home next to their sessions and habits. It is not a course marketplace. For course-heavy businesses, our guide to the online course platform for coaches goes further, and Podia vs Teachable covers a common alternative.

Which handles 1:1 coaching, booking and contracts?
Neither does it fully. Mighty Networks has no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts. Podia lets you sell coaching as a product, but our September 2026 profile notes no native video calls, and it has no client agreements, habits or check-ins.
This is where most coaches feel the gap. A typical 1:1 client needs to book a discovery call, sign an agreement, pay, attend sessions with reminders, and work on something between sessions. On Mighty Networks, every one of those steps happens in another tool. On Podia, payment and the coaching product page are covered, and the rest happens elsewhere.
For comparison, here is what a coaching platform covers in that same path. Coachful's booking pages have availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, two-way sync with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendars, built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links, and email reminders plus SMS and WhatsApp reminders once messaging is enabled. Paid sessions and session credits are supported, and you can ask intake questions at booking.

Coaching agreements go out with e-signature before the first call and are stored on the client record. That one step replaces a separate e-signature subscription, and our page on coaching contracts explains how it works. If booking is your main gap, see our scheduling software page.

Here is a short walkthrough of how sessions are scheduled in Coachful:
How do payments, fees and email compare?
Podia is more flexible on payments: Stripe on every plan, PayPal from Shaker up, and 0% platform fees on Shaker and Earthquaker. Mighty Networks uses Stripe, supports memberships in many local currencies, and charges a 0.5% to 2% platform fee on every plan.
- Mighty Networks: Stripe only, with memberships in hundreds of local currencies. Platform fee of 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale, 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, plus Stripe processing. No invoicing for 1:1 work.
- Podia: Stripe on all plans and PayPal on Shaker and above. 5% platform fee on Mover, 0% on Shaker and Earthquaker, plus processing (Podia lists 2.9% plus 30 cents as standard).
- Coachful: payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Each transaction gets an invoice and you can send manual invoices. There is no PayPal, and Coachful takes a 0% platform fee (since August 2026), so you only pay Stripe or Razorpay processing.
On email, Podia includes a mailing tool but caps subscribers at 100, 500 or 1,000. Mighty Networks' Scale plan adds a Kit integration for connecting a dedicated email tool. Coachful includes lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits, as part of the same membership. For a closer look at payment setups, see coaching payment software.
What will your clients actually experience on each?
On Mighty Networks, clients join your network inside the Mighty app. On Podia, they buy from your site and log in to your products in a browser. In both cases, anything about their personal coaching plan lives somewhere else.
A Mighty Networks member downloads the Mighty Networks app, finds your network, and sees the feed, courses and events. It feels like a community, which is good for engagement. The app carries Mighty's brand: your own branded iOS and Android apps are only available on the custom-priced Mighty Pro plan. Your 1:1 clients will also get booking emails from one tool and contracts from another.
A Podia customer lands on your Podia site, checks out, and then logs in to see the products they bought, including community spaces. It is simple and clean. Without a mobile app, it is a browser experience, and there is no place for daily habits or check-ins.
In Coachful, the client opens one app with your branding inside the Coachful app. They see their next session, their program week, today's tasks and habits, check-ins, courses, community and documents in one place. The app ships under the Coachful listing, not your own App Store account, which matters if a fully standalone app is a must for you.

Which should you pick for your kind of coaching?
Match the tool to the shape of your offer, not to the feature count.
| Your business | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful: 1:1, hybrid or group programs with clients working between sessions | Coachful | Booking, agreements, payments, habits, check-ins, courses and community under one login |
| Paid community or membership with live events | Mighty Networks | Strongest community, livestreams and member apps of the two |
| A few courses and downloads, small list, tight budget | Podia (Mover, or Shaker above about $10,000 a year in sales) | Cheapest storefront with a site and email included |
| Large audience that needs its own branded app | Mighty Pro | Only option of the two with your own App Store apps, on a custom quote |
| Sells products to a growing email list | Podia Earthquaker, or a dedicated email tool | Podia's email allowance tops out at 1,000 included subscribers |
A few specific cases:
- Life and mindset coaches running 12-week programs usually need weekly goals, habits and check-ins more than a large feed. See Coachful for life coaches.
- Business coaches with a mastermind may like Mighty for the group, then hit the wall on 1:1 sessions and agreements. Our guide on hosting client masterminds without Mighty Networks covers the setup.
- Cohort coaches who want groups to form automatically when someone enrolls should read how to run coaching cohorts without Mighty Networks and our group coaching software page.
- Health and fitness coaches should remember that coaching is not medical treatment. Refer clients to a doctor or licensed clinician for diagnosis, medication or symptoms that need care. None of these three tools is HIPAA-certified, so clinical records belong in a clinical system.
Is there a third option? Coachful, honestly
Yes. If your clients work with you one-to-one or in programs between sessions, Coachful replaces both tools plus the booking, contract and habit apps you would add to them. If your business is a large paid community, Mighty Networks may still suit you better.

What Coachful is, who it is for and what it does not do
Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six tools. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.
What it does:
- Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks.
- A client record with goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments, sessions and an AI briefing per client, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk.
- Community feed, group chat, direct messages, video events, group calls and webinars, with cohort groups created automatically when a client enrolls in a program.
- A section-based website builder with blog, custom domain and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels.
- Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, which works from your live practice data to build programs, draft emails, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before sessions. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.
- ICF credential tracking that counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds.
- Full client data export as a ZIP, and clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.

What it does not do:
- It is not a course marketplace, and it has no third-party plugins.
- The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. Mighty Pro is the option if a standalone app is essential.
- No PayPal, which Podia offers from Shaker up.
- No permanent free plan, and it is not HIPAA-certified.
- Its community is built around clients and programs; it does not offer Mighty's livestream capacity for audiences of hundreds or its AI Cohost and People Magic features.
When Coachful beats both, and when it does not
Coachful beats both when your income comes from clients, not just audiences: 1:1 packages, hybrid programs, or group programs where each person has goals and habits. You stop paying for a scheduler, an e-signature tool and a habit app next to your course platform, and your clients stop juggling logins. It also takes no platform fee, unlike Mighty on every plan and Podia on Mover.
It does not beat Mighty Networks for a large paid community whose value is the members talking to each other, especially if you need your own App Store apps. It does not beat Podia Mover for a very small product business selling a few downloads where PayPal matters and you have no 1:1 clients.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create and choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", describe what you want, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. That covers a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, form, link in bio, event or automation. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. As one example, a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. Read more about the free white-glove service.

How to start

What do reviewers say about each platform's weak spots?
The ratings and plan details point to different weak spots: cost and portability for Mighty Networks, limits as you grow for Podia.
Mighty Networks' Trustpilot score of 3.3 from 219 reviews (October 2026) is the lowest of the three. Its plan docs raise clear cost questions: the pricing page shows annual prices without labelling them, a platform fee applies on every plan, and branded apps need a custom quote. Data portability is also worth checking: member lists with tags export on Launch and Scale per Mighty's plan docs, but our September 2026 profile notes posts and content are not bulk-exportable.
Podia's 4.1 from 153 reviews is stronger. Its constraints are about scale rather than cost: email subscribers cap at 1,000 included on the top plan, there is no mobile app per our September 2026 profile, and the 5% fee on Mover adds up quickly. Podia exports contacts to CSV, plus per-product customer lists for active enrollments and sales records, according to our September 2026 profile.
For deeper reviews, see our Mighty Networks review and Podia review. If you are weighing Podia against a bigger all-in-one, Kajabi vs Podia covers that.
Frequently asked questions
Is Mighty Networks or Podia cheaper?
Podia is cheaper. Its plans cost $49, $99 and $179 a month billed monthly, against $95 and $215 for Mighty Networks' Launch and Scale, as listed in October 2026. Podia also drops to a 0% platform fee on Shaker and Earthquaker, while Mighty charges 0.5% to 2% on every plan.
Does Mighty Networks have 1:1 booking?
No. Mighty Networks has no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, so coaches pair it with a separate scheduler and e-signature tool. Its live features are events and livestreams for groups.
Can I sell coaching sessions on Podia?
Podia lists coaching among the products you can sell, next to courses, downloads and webinars. Our September 2026 profile notes it has no native video calls, so sessions run on an outside video tool. It has no agreements, habits or check-ins.
Which has a mobile app?
Mighty Networks includes its own Mighty-branded iOS and Android apps on every plan, and offers your own branded apps only on custom-priced Mighty Pro. Our September 2026 profile notes Podia has no mobile app. Coachful clients use one app with the coach's branding inside the Coachful app.
Do Mighty Networks and Podia offer free trials?
Both offer 14-day free trials with no credit card, as listed in October 2026. Mighty's trial includes Growth plan features; Podia's gives full access without picking a plan. Neither has a free plan.
Which is better for group coaching programs?
Mighty Networks handles the group community side better than Podia, with spaces, events and livestreams. Neither tracks each member's goals, habits or check-ins, so if your program depends on what people do between calls, a coaching platform fits better.
Can I use PayPal on either platform?
Podia supports PayPal on Shaker and Earthquaker. Mighty Networks lists Stripe only. Coachful also does not support PayPal; it runs on your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
On every Coachful plan, you can ask the team to build a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or other asset inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. You describe it, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and nothing gets invented for you. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management.
Can I move from Mighty Networks or Podia to Coachful?
Yes. Mighty exports member lists with tags on Launch and Scale, and Podia exports contacts to CSV. Coachful imports your clients, programs and content for you during onboarding, and you can export all client data as a ZIP later.
