Mighty Networks vs Practice Better for Coaches (2026)

Mighty Networks vs Practice Better for Coaches (2026)

If you are weighing mighty networks vs practice better, the short answer is that they solve different problems. Mighty Networks is a community, course and events platform: it is built to gather a group of members in one branded space and keep them talking. Practice Better is practice management software for wellness and nutrition practitioners: it is built to book 1:1 clients, run telehealth calls, keep notes and forms, and bill. A coach who mainly runs a paid community will find Practice Better thin on community, and a coach who mainly sees 1:1 clients will find Mighty Networks missing a calendar, invoices and contracts.

Most coaches need a bit of both, which is why this comparison ends with a third option. We make Coachful, a coaching platform that puts booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, a community and a website under one login. We will be honest about where Mighty Networks or Practice Better is still the better pick. Every vendor price below is as listed in October 2026.

What is the short answer by use case?

Pick by the shape of your coaching, not by the feature list. Here is how it breaks down for the most common coaching setups.

  • You run a paid membership or community of 100+ people and rarely do 1:1 work: Mighty Networks fits better. Its plans are built around hosts, moderators, livestream hours and member apps.
  • You are a nutrition or wellness practitioner who keeps clinical-style notes, uses intake forms and bills per session: Practice Better fits better. Charting, telehealth video and add-ons such as ePrescribe and fax point it at practitioners.
  • You coach 1:1 clients and also run group programs, a community and a course: neither covers the whole job alone. Coachful does, in one subscription.
  • You want clients to follow daily habits, check in morning and evening, and work through weekly goals between sessions: Coachful. Mighty Networks does not do per-client habits or check-ins, and Practice Better's programs are content-driven rather than habit-driven.
  • You need a website and sales funnels too: Coachful, since Practice Better has no website builder or funnel pages (as of its September 2026 profile) and Mighty Networks is a community space rather than a site builder.

How do Mighty Networks and Practice Better compare side by side?

Mighty Networks leads on community and live events; Practice Better leads on 1:1 practice admin. We rank Coachful first because we judge coaching software on one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort (Coachful includes a free white-glove build).

What do Mighty Networks and Practice Better cost?

Mighty Networks starts at $79 a month on annual billing ($95 billed monthly) and takes a 0.5% to 2% platform fee on sales. Practice Better has a free plan for 3 clients, then paid plans from $35 a month ($25 annual) with no platform fee stated. Here are the full plan grids.

Mighty Networks pricing page with Launch, Scale and Growth plan cards
Mighty Networks's pricing page in October 2026.

Two details on Mighty Networks pricing are easy to miss. The pricing page cards show $79, $179 and $354 "per month" without saying they are annual-billing figures; Mighty's help docs confirm that, and give the monthly-billed prices of $95 for Launch and $215 for Scale. The Growth plan has no published monthly-billed price. Mighty's trial lasts 14 days, needs no credit card, and includes Growth plan features, so check which plan you will actually pay for before you build around a Growth-only feature. Our Mighty Networks pricing breakdown goes plan by plan.

Practice Better pricing page with Sprout, Starter, Professional, Plus and Team plans
Practice Better's pricing page in October 2026.

Practice Better's grid has its own quirk: the Professional card says "Save $84/year", which implies about $62 a month on annual billing, while the table shows $59. Trials run 30 days on Team and 14 days on other paid plans. The bigger cost driver is add-ons:

  • AI Charting Assistant: $10, $20 or $40 per practitioner per month (1,200, 3,600 or 7,200 minutes), then 2 cents a minute.
  • Connector Hub: $49 a month (Plus and Team).
  • ePrescribe: $49 a month plus $99 one-time onboarding per prescriber; PDMP adds $5 a month plus $399 onboarding.
  • SMS beyond the plan allowance: 5 cents per text. Fax: 10 cents per page.
  • Extra admin: $10 a month (Plus and Team). Extra practitioner: $50 a month (Team). Extra storage: $1 per GB per month (Professional, up to 30 GB).

An example: what a 15-client coach with a group program pays

The numbers below are an example, not a quote. Picture a coach with 15 private clients, one group program of 40 people, and about $5,000 a month in sales.

  • Practice Better: 15 clients is over Starter's 10-client cap, so Professional at $69 monthly ($59 annual) is the floor. If the group program should be evergreen and self-paced rather than fixed-date, that moves to Plus at $99 monthly ($89 annual). There is no website builder, so a site and funnel tool sits on top.
  • Mighty Networks: Launch at $95 monthly ($79 annual) hosts the group, and the 2% fee on $5,000 of sales run through it adds $100 a month. There is no 1:1 booking, invoicing or contracts, so a scheduling tool, a payment and invoicing tool and a contract tool sit on top.
  • Coachful: one subscription covers the 15 private clients, the group program and the website, with a 0% platform fee. The plan that covers 15 clients: Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients.

Before you compare totals, list every tool you would keep alongside each option. A cheap base plan plus three add-on subscriptions often costs more than one complete plan. Our guide to Mighty Networks alternatives that cost less runs this exercise for several tools.

What is Mighty Networks, and what does it do well?

Mighty Networks is a platform for hosting a branded community with courses, events and livestreams, delivered through Mighty-branded iOS and Android apps. It is at its best when members talk to each other, not just to you.

Mighty Networks homepage introducing its community, course and events platform
Mighty Networks's homepage in October 2026.

Every plan includes community spaces, courses, events, Mighty's AI Cohost and People Magic features, basic automations, a custom domain and the free Mighty member apps. Scale adds more automations, APIs and MCP access, Kit, Zapier and affiliate integrations, member export and member tags. Growth adds advanced and AI automations, priority support, migration services, and optional SSO and white-label email. Your own branded apps in the App Store come only with Mighty Pro, which is custom-priced.

Where it falls short for coaches is everything that happens one client at a time. Mighty Networks does not offer 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and it has no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. Member list export (with tags) is documented on Launch and Scale; posts and content are not bulk-exportable, according to its September 2026 profile, which matters if you ever leave. Our guide on how to migrate from Mighty Networks covers that in detail.

On Trustpilot, Mighty Networks shows 3.3 out of 5 from 219 reviews as listed in October 2026.

What is Practice Better, and what does it do well?

Practice Better is practice management software for wellness and nutrition practitioners: scheduling, telehealth video, charting, billing, programs and a client portal in one account. It is at its best for a practitioner who sees clients one at a time and needs tidy records.

Practice Better homepage introducing its practice management software for wellness practitioners
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

Starter already includes scheduling, telehealth video, billing and payments, secure messaging, a client portal, forms and note templates and 20+ integrations. Professional adds group scheduling and messaging, fixed-date programs, PDF branding, deposits and payment plans, and Zapier. Plus adds evergreen self-paced programs, portal branding, a personalized URL, 750 SMS a month, 10,000 broadcasts a month, a fax number and program templates. Team adds roles and permissions, team scheduling, team chat, advanced workflows, team reporting, managed billing and 2,000 SMS a month.

The gaps for a coach are marketing and community. Practice Better has no website builder or funnel pages according to its September 2026 profile, and its pricing page lists group messaging rather than a community feed. Below Team, an account has one practitioner. Payments run through Practice Better Payments (powered by Stripe), with no platform fee stated and processing rates not listed. Data export is per client (an emailed archive of notes, invoices and forms, kept for 48 hours) plus a contact spreadsheet, with bulk export on request, per its September 2026 profile.

On Trustpilot, Practice Better shows 3.8 out of 5 from 87 reviews as listed in October 2026.

How do they compare feature by feature?

Practice Better wins on scheduling, billing and records; Mighty Networks wins on community and live events. Neither offers daily habit tracking with morning and evening check-ins.

Scheduling and sessions

Practice Better includes scheduling and telehealth video from its Starter plan, with group scheduling on Professional and team scheduling on Team. Mighty Networks has events and livestreams for groups, but no 1:1 booking pages, so coaches typically add a separate scheduler and send the link. If most of your revenue comes from booked sessions, that is a daily friction point.

Coachful covers this with booking pages that handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way sync with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendars; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links; and email reminders plus SMS and WhatsApp reminders once messaging is enabled. Session credits, paid sessions and intake questions on booking are included. More on that on our scheduling software page.

Payments, invoices and contracts

Practice Better handles billing and payments, with deposits and payment plans from Professional. Mighty Networks sells memberships and courses through Stripe in many local currencies but takes a 0.5% to 2% platform fee and does not offer invoicing or contracts.

Coachful runs payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax, with an invoice per transaction plus manual invoices. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. Since August 2026 Coachful takes a 0% platform fee. There is no PayPal. See coaching contracts for how agreements work.

Programs and between-session work

This is where the three tools differ most. Mighty Networks offers courses and cohorts that everyone moves through together. Practice Better offers fixed-date programs on Professional and evergreen programs on Plus, which deliver content and forms to clients on a schedule.

Coachful programs are built around what clients do each day: multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. The coach sees each client's status as thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you know who needs a nudge before the next session.

Here is a short walkthrough of how check-ins work inside Coachful:

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

Community and group coaching

Mighty Networks is the strongest of the two here: spaces, events, livestreams with up to 100 to 1,000 attendees by plan, and AI Cohost. Practice Better offers group scheduling and group messaging, which suits a small group program but is not a community.

Coachful includes a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events, and creates a cohort group automatically when someone enrolls in a program. Group calls and webinars are included. For a deeper comparison of the community side, read Coachful vs Mighty Networks for coaching communities.

Courses

Mighty Networks includes courses on every plan. Practice Better's programs can carry content, but it is not positioned as a course platform. Coachful includes courses with modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, plus downloads, videos, books, AI tools, events and bundles, all delivered into the client's branded home and app.

Website, funnels and email

Neither Mighty Networks nor Practice Better is a website builder. Mighty Networks gives your network a custom domain; Practice Better gives you a personalized URL and portal branding on Plus. Coachful includes a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixel and UTM tracking, and email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences. See our coach website builder.

AI tools

Mighty Networks includes AI Cohost and People Magic for hosts. Practice Better sells an AI Charting Assistant as an add-on at $10 to $40 per practitioner per month. Coachful includes Michelle, an AI assistant that works from your live practice data: it builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before sessions. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

Health, records and compliance

Practice Better's charting, telehealth, ePrescribe, PDMP and fax add-ons show it is built for practitioners who keep clinical-style records. If you are a licensed clinician who needs a business associate agreement under HIPAA, confirm that directly with any vendor and read the HHS guidance for covered entities. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so clinical records and insurance billing belong in a clinical system. Coaching is not treatment: if a client describes symptoms, medication questions, signs of disordered eating or a diagnosis, refer them to a doctor or licensed clinician.

What is the client experience like on each?

On Mighty Networks, a client joins your network and lives inside the Mighty app with your community, courses and events. On Practice Better, a client logs into a portal to book, fill forms, message you and pay. On Coachful, a client opens one branded app for all of it.

The Mighty experience is social first. Members see a feed, spaces and upcoming events, which is ideal for a community where peers do much of the motivating. Any 1:1 booking or invoice happens somewhere else, often with a different login, which clients notice.

The Practice Better experience is appointment first. Clients get reminders, forms and secure messages, and Plus lets you brand the portal and use a personalized URL. It feels like a well-run clinic: clear and orderly, with less of the day-to-day encouragement a coaching program relies on.

The Coachful client home brings together the next session, programs, today's tasks and habits, check-ins, documents, courses and the community. The app carries your branding inside the Coachful app listing; it is not published under your own App Store account. Clients can also chat with an AI Coach between sessions if you set one up for them.

Which should you pick for your kind of coaching?

Choose Mighty Networks for a community-led business, Practice Better for a records-led wellness practice, and Coachful when you coach individuals and groups and want one system.

  • Community builders and course creators with large memberships, many moderators and regular livestreams: Mighty Networks. Compare it with other community tools in Circle vs Mighty Networks.
  • Registered dietitians, naturopaths and other practitioners who chart, prescribe or fax: Practice Better, or another clinical system.
  • Health and wellness coaches (not clinicians) who want habit change between sessions: Coachful. See Coachful for health coaches and our list of Mighty Networks alternatives for health coaches.
  • Fitness and nutrition coaches who program workouts and meals: Coachful with the Fitness & Nutrition pack, which adds a workout builder with illustrated exercises, workout logging, nutrition targets, meal plans and barcode scanning. Coaches attach their own demo videos.
  • Life, career and business coaches who mix 1:1 packages with a group program: Coachful. See group coaching software.
  • Small coaching teams: Practice Better Team or Coachful's Studio and Agency plans, which add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions.

What is the third option, and when does Coachful beat both?

Coachful beats both when you coach individuals and groups and want booking, payments, programs, community and your website under one login. It does not beat them for a pure community of thousands or for clinical practice.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and shows 4.5 on Trustpilot from 21 reviews.

Where it beats Mighty Networks. 1:1 booking with calendar sync, invoices, e-signed coaching agreements, per-client habits and check-ins, a client record with notes, intake answers and payments, and a website with funnels, all in the same place as your community. There is also no platform fee on your sales. Our Mighty Networks alternative page covers the switch.

Where it beats Practice Better. A community feed and cohort groups, courses, a website builder, funnels and email sequences, plus programs built on daily habits and check-ins rather than forms alone. See our Practice Better alternative page for more.

Where it does not beat them.

  • Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and is not for clinical record-keeping, ePrescribing or insurance billing. Practice Better is the closer fit for that work.
  • Your client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding. If you need your own App Store app for a large community, Mighty Pro offers that at a custom price.
  • No PayPal, no permanent free plan, and no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync.
  • Coachful is not a course marketplace and has no third-party plugins.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", describe what you want (a website, funnel, offer page, program, course outline, coaching flow, form, email sequence, lead quiz, event or automation) and attach up to 8 reference links and 10 files. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent example: a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. Another: a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Read more about the free white-glove service.

How to start. Begin with a free trial, request a white-glove build for your site or first program, and let the team import your clients, programs and content during onboarding. If you are leaving Mighty Networks or Practice Better, export your member or client lists first. You can leave Coachful any time with a full ZIP export of clients, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses. Frequently asked questions

Is Mighty Networks or Practice Better better for coaches?

It depends on how you coach. Mighty Networks suits community-led coaching with courses and live events, while Practice Better suits 1:1 wellness practitioners who need scheduling, telehealth, notes and billing. Coaches who do both often end up combining tools, or move to an all-in-one coaching platform such as Coachful.

Does Mighty Networks have 1:1 scheduling?

No. Mighty Networks does not offer native 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, so coaches typically add a separate booking tool. Its events and livestreams handle group sessions.

Does Practice Better have a community feature?

Practice Better lists group scheduling and group messaging from its Professional plan, but no community feed on its pricing page. If peer discussion is central to your program, that is a gap.

Which is cheaper, Mighty Networks or Practice Better?

Practice Better is cheaper to start: a free Sprout plan for 3 clients and Starter at $35 a month ($25 annual) for 10 clients. Mighty Networks starts at $95 a month ($79 annual) and adds a 2% platform fee on Launch. Add-ons and the extra tools each one needs can change that picture, so price your whole stack.

Does Mighty Networks charge transaction fees?

Yes. Mighty Networks takes a platform fee of 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, on top of Stripe processing, as listed in October 2026.

Can I run group programs on Practice Better?

Yes. Fixed-date programs start on Professional ($69 a month, $59 annual) and evergreen self-paced programs on Plus ($99 a month, $89 annual). Group scheduling and messaging are available from Professional.

Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. Coaches use it for coaching work, and clinicians should keep clinical records in a clinical system.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a done-for-you build included on every Coachful plan. You describe what you need, such as a website, funnel, program or email sequence, attach references, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It leaves gaps for you instead of inventing credentials, testimonials or prices.

Can I move my members from Mighty Networks to Coachful?

Yes. Export your member list from Mighty Networks (documented on Launch and Scale), and the Coachful team imports clients, programs and content during onboarding. Posts are not bulk-exportable from Mighty Networks, so save anything you want to keep first.

Does Coachful take a cut of my sales?

No. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing on your own account.
