The 7 Best Coachway Alternatives, Compared

The best coachway alternatives fix the two things that push fitness and nutrition coaches away from Coachway: a bill that grows with every client above five, and a client journey that ends at the workout and meal plan. So the deciding question is simple. Do you only need to deliver training and nutrition, or do you also need to book calls, sell a program, run a group and keep clients after week twelve, without paying per head?
If you need the whole journey in one place, Coachful is our pick. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, programs with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, plus a Fitness & Nutrition pack with a workout builder and meal plans. Lower plans cap clients, but the price is flat per plan rather than per client, and the Pro plan has no client limit. We make Coachful, so weigh that, and read the six other options below: if all you want is a cheaper training app, several of them beat Coachway on price.

What is Coachway, and why do coaches look for an alternative?
Coachway is a Copenhagen-based platform (Coachway ApS) built for online fitness and nutrition coaches. As listed in October 2026, it offers one plan with every feature included and "no tiers": a Power Panel inbox, a workout builder with more than 1,800 exercises, supersets, AMRAP and templates, a meal planner with more than 1,100 recipes, macros, allergy filters and PDF export, check-in forms, progress tracking for weight, measurements and photos, automations, a lead pipeline, chat with voice and video messages, team roles, a coach mobile app and a branded client app on iOS and Android. The client app carries the coach's logo and colours inside the Coachway app and is available in six languages.
The price is where most searches for alternatives begin. Coachway's pricing page headline reads EUR 69 per month for up to 5 clients, then EUR 9 per additional client, ex-VAT and billed monthly. The same page's currency calculator shows $79 per month for up to 5 active clients and $10 per month for each additional client. There is no annual plan shown. A 14-day free trial needs a card to start, with a billing reminder three days before it ends.

Three details are worth knowing before you compare:
- Per-client growth. At 25 clients, the calculation from the listed prices is $79 plus 20 x $10, which is $279 per month. At 40 clients it is $429.
- A payment fee. Coachway lists a 2.4% payment fee on transactions taken through its built-in payment system, on top of Stripe's own processing. Its page's structured data says the fee does not apply when you use your own Stripe checkout.
- What the site does not describe. We found no session booking calendar, course builder or community feature on Coachway's site. If you sell calls, run group cohorts or sell a self-paced course, you will need other tools next to it.
Public sentiment is thin. As of October 27, 2026, Coachway had a Trustpilot score of 4.6 from 22 reviews. That is a positive score from a small sample, so it tells you little about how the product holds up at scale. Coachway also says it offers free migration from some platforms ("Where a move is possible, the move itself is free"), and we did not find a data export policy stated on the pages we checked, apart from meal plans exporting as PDF.
What does a fitness coach's client journey need from software?
An online fitness or nutrition coach moves every client through four stages: attract, enroll, deliver and retain. Coachway is strong in the third stage and partial in the first two. Mapping your own business to these stages shows quickly whether a training app is enough or whether you need a full coaching platform.
Attract: getting found and capturing leads
Most fitness coaches sell from Instagram, TikTok or referrals. What they need is a page to send people to: a website or link-in-bio page, a lead magnet such as a free seven-day plan, an application form, and email follow-up for the people who are not ready yet. Coachway has a lead pipeline, but it is not a website or email marketing tool, so you would normally pair it with a site builder and an email service.
Enroll: turning a lead into a paying client
This stage is a discovery call, a checkout and an agreement. You need a booking page that respects your time zone and buffers, a way to take one-time payments, subscriptions or payment plans, and a coaching agreement or waiver signed before the first session. The agreement matters more in fitness than in many niches, because it is where you set expectations about scope and medical clearance.
A scope reminder belongs here. Fitness and nutrition coaching is not medical care, physiotherapy or dietetics. Your intake should ask about red flags such as chest pain on exertion, dizziness or fainting, a recent injury or surgery, pregnancy, diagnosed heart, lung, kidney or metabolic conditions, a history of eating disorders, or medication that affects heart rate or blood sugar. When any of those appear, ask the client to get clearance from a doctor before you program for them, and refer clinical nutrition questions to a registered dietitian. Have a local lawyer review your waiver; laws vary by state and country.
Deliver: training, nutrition and accountability
This is the core of every tool in this list: workouts the client can log, nutrition targets or meal plans, weekly check-ins with photos and measurements, and messaging. The differences appear in the details: whether habits and daily tasks sit next to the training plan, whether you can run a group program alongside one-to-one clients, and whether clients can book their next call from the same app.
Retain: keeping clients past the first block
Retention is where most fitness coaches lose revenue. It needs a reason to stay after the first 8 or 12 weeks: a community or cohort, a next-phase program, a course or challenge, progress the client can see, and early warning when someone goes quiet. Training apps tend to stop at progress charts; coaching platforms add the community, courses and client status signals.
Which stages does each Coachway alternative cover?
We ranked these tools on one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost as your client list grows, and setup effort (including whether someone builds the setup for you).

All non-Coachful prices are as listed in October 2026 in US dollars.
How did we rank these alternatives?
We used one concrete scenario: an online fitness and nutrition coach with 15 one-to-one clients on monthly subscriptions, plus one 8-week group program for about 20 people that runs twice a year. That coach needs a booking page for discovery calls, a checkout for both offers, an agreement and health intake, training and meal plans, weekly check-ins, a group space, and a way to move finished clients into a lighter maintenance offer.
We then asked of each tool: how much of that runs inside it, what the monthly bill looks like at 5, 15 and 40 clients, what else you must buy to fill the gaps, and how long setup takes. We worked only from what each vendor documents on its own pages and what public reviewers report; we did not run hands-on tests. Ratings are the Trustpilot scores we saw in late October 2026.
1. Coachful: the full fitness client journey in one login

Coachful is a coaching platform for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions. Where Coachway is a fitness delivery app, Coachful covers all four stages: your website and funnels, booking and payments, program delivery, and the community and courses that keep clients around. Fitness coaches add the Fitness & Nutrition pack, so training and meals sit next to habits, goals and check-ins in one client record. See the Fitness & Nutrition pack and the page for fitness coaches for the full feature list.
What delivery looks like for a client
The workout builder uses an exercise library of illustrated exercises and supports supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals and tempo. Clients log their workouts and see set history and personal records. Nutrition targets go up to calories and macros, and you can add meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning. Clients upload private progress photos and measurements, send weekly check-ins, and can record a private form-check video that you comment on at specific timestamps. Challenges give the group something to rally around.
Around that sits the coaching layer that pure training apps lack: multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. A client who opens the app sees today's workout, today's habit and this week's goal together.

Here is a short walkthrough of how check-ins are set up and what clients answer each morning and evening:

Booking, payments and agreements
Booking pages have availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Sessions get built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links, plus email reminders; SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) reminders work once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions or session credits and ask intake questions at booking, which is where your health red-flag questions go. More detail is on the scheduling software page.

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record (see coaching contracts).
Retention tools Coachway does not describe
Enrolling in a program can create a cohort group automatically, with a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events. Courses come with modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, so a nutrition fundamentals course or a mobility library becomes a product you can sell or bundle (see group coaching software). Each client carries a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you notice the person who stopped logging before they cancel. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it can build a program draft, write emails, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before a call. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.
Where Coachful falls short for fitness coaches
Be clear about the limits. Coachful has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not available publicly. It has no stock exercise videos; you attach your own demo videos. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. There is no PayPal. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, so clinical records belong in a clinical system. And Coachway's listed library of more than 1,800 exercises and 1,100 recipes is a bigger out-of-the-box catalogue than most coaches will need, but it is worth comparing if you rely on it.
Pricing and getting started
Plans are flat monthly prices, with lower plans capping the number of clients and the Pro plan unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Team plans add coach seats. Monthly plans cancel in one click, and there is a free trial. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and you can export your full client data as a ZIP at any time.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE", describe what you want, and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos or existing program documents. The Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours: a website, a lead-magnet funnel for a free training plan, a 12-week program, an email sequence, an intake form or a challenge. Nothing gets invented, so you will not find fake testimonials or made-up prices; gaps are left for you to fill. It does not cover filming your exercise videos, logo design or running ads. One recent example: a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Pick Coachway over Coachful if you only coach training and nutrition, never sell calls, courses or group programs, want a large built-in exercise and recipe catalogue, and keep a small client list, where the per-client fee stays modest.
2. HubFit: the cheapest way to coach many clients

HubFit is an online training app for personal trainers and fitness coaches, covering programs, nutrition, habits and check-ins. Its pricing is the clearest contrast to Coachway's: as listed in October 2026, Standard costs $39 per month ($33 billed annually) for up to 50 clients, Premium $69 per month ($57 annually) for up to 100, and Ultimate $119 per month ($99 annually) at 100 clients, scaling to $419 per month at 500. Every plan has a 14-day free trial, and HubFit lists no transaction fee of its own; Stripe processing applies.
Strengths worth paying for
- Up to 50 clients for less than Coachway charges for five.
- Programs, nutrition, habits and check-ins in one client app that is free for clients.
- A Trustpilot score of 5 from 390 reviews when we checked, a much larger sample than Coachway's 22.
Catches in the plan table
Branding and payments start at Premium, so a coach who wants to take payments in-app is on $69 rather than $39. Team members and Zapier start at Ultimate. A branded app under your own listing is a $189 per month add-on. HubFit's older profile notes no scheduling or booking, video calls, contracts or website, so the attract and enroll stages need other tools. We compare the two directly in Coachway vs HubFit.
Pick it over Coachful if you coach 20 to 50 training clients one to one, already have a website and a booking tool you like, and want the lowest per-client delivery cost.
3. PT Distinction: generous client bundles with small overages

PT Distinction is online personal-training software with programs, nutrition, check-ins, automations and a client app. Instead of a flat per-client fee like Coachway, it bundles a set number of clients into each plan and charges a small overage above that. As listed in October 2026: Basic is $19.90 per month with 3 clients included and extra clients at $6 each after one free month; Pro is $59.90 with 25 clients and extras at $2.40; Master is $89.90 with 50 clients and extras at $1.60.
Those overages are a fraction of Coachway's $10. A coach with 40 clients pays $89.90 on Master, against $429 on Coachway's listed prices. The trial is a month: "Cancel at any time in your first month and pay nothing." PT Distinction holds a Trustpilot score of 4.8 from 297 reviews.
On the downside, the branded client app is included only from Pro, not on Basic. The pricing page shows no course builder, community or website and funnel builder, and transaction fees are not listed there. Automations are the main retention tool; group cohorts and courses live elsewhere.
Pick it over Coachful if automated training and nutrition delivery for 25 to 50 one-to-one clients is your whole business and you want included-client pricing with low overages.
4. My PT Hub: unlimited clients on one mid-priced plan

My PT Hub suits trainers who mix in-person and online work, because it includes bookings next to workouts, nutrition, payments, habits, check-ins and a client app. Its Premium plan is the simplest answer to Coachway's per-client growth: $59 per month ($52 billed annually) for unlimited clients, workouts and nutrition plans, as listed in October 2026.
Starter costs $25 per month ($22.50 annually) but is limited to 3 clients (a My PT Hub blog says 5), 50 workouts and 50 nutrition plans, so most working coaches need Premium. Ultimate, at $215 per month ($195 annually), adds five additional trainers. A 30-day trial needs no card and drops to the free plan at the end. Payments run through Stripe, with no My PT Hub fee listed. Public reviews are plentiful: 4.4 on Trustpilot from 2,557 reviews when we looked.
The gaps are on the marketing and retention side. The pricing page shows no course builder, website, funnels or email marketing, and a white-label app store listing is a paid add-on below Ultimate. The pricing screenshot above shows euros.
Pick it over Coachful if you mix in-person training with online clients, want bookings and workouts in a trainer-focused tool, and only need delivery software.
5. Everfit: a free start that scales by client count

Everfit is a fitness coaching app with workouts, habits, nutrition and messaging. Its Starter plan is free forever for up to 5 clients, which makes it the cheapest way to test online coaching before you commit. Paid plans scale by client count: as listed in October 2026, Pro starts at $19 per month ($16 annually) for 5 clients, then $29 for 10, $49 for 20, $95 for 50, $140 for 100 and $290 for 300. Studio starts at $105 per month for 50 clients. The 30-day trial needs no card or contract.
Compared with Coachway, Everfit's tiered pricing is gentler: 20 clients cost $49 per month rather than $229. The trade-off is add-ons. Automation (Autoflow), payments and meal plans are sold separately, so a coach who wants Coachway's full feature set will pay more than the headline tier. Everfit has no course builder, website, funnels or email marketing. Its Trustpilot score was 2.7 from 16 reviews, another small sample, so read the individual reviews rather than the number.
Pick it over Coachful if you are starting with a handful of training clients, want to spend nothing until you have paying clients, and are happy to add meal plans and payments later.
6. ABC Trainerize: the established app with an add-on menu

ABC Trainerize is a personal-training app with workouts, habits, nutrition tracking and messaging, and it serves both solo coaches and gyms. As listed in October 2026, Basic is free for 1 client, Grow is $10 per month for 2 clients, and Pro starts at $25 per month for 5 clients, with Pro tiers at 15, 30, 50, 75, 100 and 200 clients. Trainerize's pricing page states that Pro scales to $135 per month for up to 50 clients. Studio Plus starts at $275 per month for 500 clients. The 30-day trial includes unlimited clients and no card, then reverts to the free 1-client plan.
The add-on model is the main thing to plan for. Scheduling, selling products, payments, video and advanced nutrition are separate paid add-ons below Studio, and add-ons are not included during the trial. In-app payments need the Stripe Integrated Payments add-on. Trainerize has no course builder, website, funnels or email marketing, and an older profile notes that client data export is incomplete, with no messages, photos or attachments. Its Trustpilot score was 3.1 from 100 reviews. We cover more options in our Trainerize alternatives guide.
Pick it over Coachful if you run a gym or studio that already uses ABC's ecosystem, or you want a widely known training app and are comfortable pricing out add-ons one by one.
7. TrueCoach: strength programming, nothing more

TrueCoach is a strength and fitness programming app priced by active clients. As listed in October 2026, its pricing page shows annual-billing figures: Starter at $26.34 per month for up to 5 active clients, Standard at $57.99 for up to 20, Pro at $136.99 for up to 50, and Custom above that. Monthly prices were not shown. It offers a 14-day trial without a card and a 90-day money-back guarantee for first-time annual subscribers ("restrictions apply").
TrueCoach does one thing: programming and the training conversation around it. The pricing page feature list has no scheduling or booking, and an older profile notes no video calls, contracts, courses, community or website. Automated payments run through Stripe, but in-app payments are limited to coaches banking in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. The Trustpilot score was 2.4 from 19 reviews. See our TrueCoach alternatives for more depth.
Pick it over Coachful if you are a strength coach who only writes programs, bills elsewhere, and wants the simplest possible programming tool.

How do the features compare side by side?
This matrix covers what fitness coaches ask about most. "Partial" means the feature exists only on higher plans, as a paid add-on, or in a limited form.

What does each option cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?
The short answer: Coachway is competitive at 5 clients and the most expensive tool here by 40, because of the $10 per-client fee. The table uses monthly billing where it is listed and the cheapest plan that covers each client count, before add-ons and payment processing. Non-Coachful figures are as listed in October 2026.
| Tool | 5 clients | 15 clients | 40 clients | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Booking, website, email, courses and community included; 0% platform fee |
| Coachway | $79 | $179 | $429 | Plus 2.4% on built-in payments |
| HubFit | $39 ($69 with payments) | $39 ($69 with payments) | $39 ($69 with payments) | Branding and payments from Premium |
| PT Distinction | $31.90 (Basic + 2 extras) | $59.90 (Pro) | $89.90 (Master) | Basic extras free for the first month |
| My PT Hub | $59 (Premium) | $59 | $59 | Starter covers only 3 clients |
| Everfit | $0 (Starter) or $19 (Pro) | $49 (20-client tier) | $95 (50-client tier) | Payments, meal plans, Autoflow are add-ons |
| ABC Trainerize | $25 | 15-client tier (price not captured) | $135 (50-client tier) | Scheduling, payments, video are add-ons |
| TrueCoach | $26.34 (annual) | $57.99 (annual) | $136.99 (annual) | Monthly prices not shown |
Two caveats. Coachway's euro headline (EUR 69 plus EUR 9) is ex-VAT, so EU coaches should add VAT. And the training apps' figures cover delivery only; if you also pay for a website, an email tool and a booking tool, add those to compare like for like with an all-in-one plan.
Should you run one platform or assemble a stack?
Run one platform if you sell more than one kind of offer; assemble a stack if you only deliver training and already own the rest. Here are two recipes for the 15-client coach from our scenario, with the parts listed so you can price your own version.
Recipe A: the all-in-one
- Website, link in bio and a lead-magnet funnel offering a free week of training.
- Booking page for a 20-minute discovery call with health intake questions.
- Checkout for a monthly subscription and a one-time group program, through your own Stripe account.
- E-signed coaching agreement with your scope and clearance terms.
- Fitness & Nutrition pack for workouts, meal plans and weekly check-ins, inside a 12-week program with habits.
- Cohort community for the group program and a maintenance course for graduates.
In Coachful all six run in one account for one flat plan (Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients), with no platform fee on payments.
Recipe B: the assembled stack around a training app
- A website builder subscription.
- An email marketing tool for the lead magnet and follow-up.
- A scheduling tool for discovery calls.
- A training app: Coachway at $179 per month for 15 clients, or HubFit Premium at $69, or PT Distinction Pro at $59.90.
- An e-signature tool or a PDF agreement you chase manually.
- A group chat or community app for the cohort.
Each of steps 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 carries its own monthly bill, login and client invitation. As an illustration of payment fees, a coach taking $3,000 a month through Coachway's built-in payments would pay $72 in Coachway fees before Stripe's processing; connecting your own Stripe checkout avoids that fee according to Coachway's page. If you are weighing booking tools for this kind of stack, our guide to Calendly alternatives for coaches covers the options.
How do you move off Coachway without losing clients?
Plan the move around your billing dates and do it in one clean switch rather than running two apps for months. These steps work for any of the alternatives above.
- Export what you can first. Coachway's pages do not state a full data export, though meal plans export as PDF. Save program templates, meal plans, check-in questions and progress photos for each client before you cancel, and ask Coachway support what else they can export. Under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, clients have a right to receive their personal data, which is a fair basis for the request.
- Rebuild templates before inviting anyone. Recreate your three or four core programs and your check-in form in the new tool first. In Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove team can build the program and intake form from your documents.
- Move payments at a renewal. Subscriptions in your own Stripe account belong to you, but the new platform needs to manage them. Switch each client at their next billing date and tell them the date in advance.
- Send one clear invitation. A short message with what is changing, the new app link and what stays the same (their plan, their coach, their price) prevents most drop-off.
- Keep the first week light. Ask every client to complete one check-in and one workout log in the new app, then review who has not logged in after three days.
- Cancel Coachway after the last client moves. Billing is monthly, so time the cancellation to avoid paying for an empty month.
For a Coachful setup, the client sees this sequence: a welcome email with your branding, the app where today's workout, habits and first check-in are waiting, a signed agreement already on file if you send one, and the booking link for their next call inside the same app.
Which Coachway alternative should you choose?
Choose Coachful if you want the attract, enroll, deliver and retain stages in one login, flat plan pricing instead of a per-client fee, and someone to build your setup for you. It suits online fitness and nutrition coaches who sell programs and group offers, not only monthly training plans, and coaches replacing four to six tools. It is not the right tool if you need wearable sync, stock exercise videos, PayPal or HIPAA-covered records. To start, take the free trial and request the white-glove build from the Create page.
If you only need training delivery, the choice is about client count. HubFit and My PT Hub are the cheapest for growing rosters, PT Distinction gives you included-client bundles with low overages, Everfit is the free starting point, ABC Trainerize fits gyms already in its ecosystem, and TrueCoach suits strength coaches who only program. Coachway itself stays a reasonable choice for a small client list if its built-in exercise and recipe catalogue matters to you. For more context, see our broader coaching software overview and our Stan Store alternatives for fitness coaches.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Coachway cost?
As listed in October 2026, Coachway costs EUR 69 per month ex-VAT for up to 5 clients, then EUR 9 for each additional client. Its currency calculator shows $79 per month plus $10 per additional client. There is no annual plan shown, and built-in payments carry a 2.4% fee.
What is the best Coachway alternative for fitness coaches?
Coachful is our pick if you need booking, payments, community, courses and a website alongside workouts and meal plans. If you only need a training app, HubFit and PT Distinction cost less than Coachway at every client count we priced.
Is there a Coachway alternative without per-client pricing?
Yes. Coachful's Pro plan and My PT Hub's Premium plan have no client limit, and HubFit's Standard plan covers up to 50 clients for one price. PT Distinction and Everfit still scale with clients, but at much lower rates than Coachway's $10 per client.
Does Coachful have a workout builder and meal plans like Coachway?
Yes, through the Fitness & Nutrition pack: a workout builder with illustrated exercises, client logging with set history and PRs, nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning. It does not include stock exercise videos, so you attach your own demos.
Can I take session bookings in Coachway?
We found no session booking calendar described on Coachway's site in October 2026. Coaches who sell calls usually pair it with a separate scheduling tool, or switch to a platform with booking built in.
Are Coachway's reviews reliable?
Coachway had a Trustpilot score of 4.6 from 22 reviews when we checked on October 27, 2026. That is a positive score from a small sample, so it is too early to draw firm conclusions about support or reliability at scale.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a done-for-you build included on every plan. You describe what you need, such as a website, a funnel, a program or an email sequence, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include filming videos, logo design or running ads.
Does any alternative sync with Garmin, Apple Health or Whoop?
Coachful does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available. If wearable data drives your coaching, check each training app's current integration list before you switch.
Can I keep my own Stripe account when I switch?
Coachway, HubFit, My PT Hub, TrueCoach and Coachful all work with Stripe, and Coachful connects to your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with a 0% platform fee. Move each client's subscription at their next renewal so nobody is billed twice.
Is fitness coaching software a substitute for medical screening?
No. Coaching is not medical care, so use your intake to flag chest pain, fainting, recent injury or surgery, pregnancy, chronic conditions and eating disorder history, and ask for a doctor's clearance before programming. Keep clinical records in a clinical system; Coachful is not HIPAA-certified.
