Healthie Pricing in 2026: Plans, Fees and What Coaches Pay

As listed in October 2026, healthie pricing runs from $19.99 a month for Core (10 active clients) to $49.99 for Essentials (250), $129.99 for Plus (unlimited) and $149.99 for Group, with quote-only Enterprise above that. Paying yearly cuts those to $18, $45, $115 and $135 a month. On top sits Stripe card processing at 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, plus optional add-ons for insurance claims, e-prescribing and AI charting.
The sticker price is the easy part. Healthie is an electronic health record and practice management system built for clinicians, so the real question for a coach is whether you would be paying for clinical tools you never open, and what you still have to buy beside it. This guide gives you every plan, each fee, worked monthly totals at three practice sizes, and an honest read on who should pay for it. We make Coachful, a coaching platform that competes for some of the same coaches, so the comparison below states its criteria and sticks to what each vendor publishes and what public reviews report.

How much does Healthie cost in 2026?
Healthie costs $19.99 to $149.99 a month on its published plans as of October 2026, before card fees and add-ons. Which one you land on depends mostly on your active client count and on whether you need online programs or a shared team calendar.
Most solo coaches would look at Core or Essentials first, because 250 active clients is far more than one person can coach. Then they notice a catch: automated online programs and group video only appear from Plus, which is the plan Healthie marks as most popular. A coach who delivers programs rather than single sessions is therefore looking at $115 to $129.99 a month, not the $19.99 headline.
There is no permanent free plan. Healthie offers a 14-day trial of its Plus plan with no credit card required, according to its pricing page on the day we checked it (30 October 2026).
What are Healthie's plans and prices?
Healthie has four plans with published prices and one quote-only tier. Client limits step up quickly, and the jump between Essentials and Plus is the largest in the ladder.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Yearly total on annual | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core | $19.99 | $18 | $216 | Up to 10 active clients |
| Essentials | $49.99 | $45 | $540 | Up to 250 active clients |
| Plus | $129.99 | $115 | $1,380 | Unlimited clients |
| Group | From $149.99 | From $135 | From $1,620 | Unlimited clients; 1 provider and 1 support seat, then $50 a month per extra provider |
| Enterprise | Not published | Not published | Not published | Quote only |
Prices are in US dollars as listed in October 2026. Yearly totals are simple multiplication from the listed monthly equivalent. Healthie does not publish an Enterprise price, and we will not guess at one.
What does each Healthie plan add?
Each tier adds capacity plus a specific batch of features: Core is the clinical base, Essentials adds billing paperwork and broadcast messaging, Plus adds programs and group video, and Group adds team tools.
Core: the base practice tools
Core covers calendar and online scheduling, email and SMS appointment reminders, payment processing and invoicing, electronic forms and waivers, individual telehealth video, an electronic health record, smart-fill charting, a secure client messenger, a client portal, food and lifestyle journaling, goals and metrics tracking, care plans, a document library and the Healthie mobile app. The feature table also shows unlimited document storage and live training classes on every plan.
For a coach with a handful of clients, that is a useful amount of software for the money. The limit that matters is the 10 active clients.
Essentials: more clients, plus billing paperwork
Essentials raises the cap to 250 active clients and adds free outbound fax, basic email branding templates, data transfer support, group and blast messaging, superbills and CMS 1500 forms. Those last two are insurance and reimbursement documents. If you do not bill insurance or give clients paperwork to claim with, the useful parts are the higher cap, blast messaging and the help moving your data in.
Plus: programs and group sessions
Plus removes the client cap and adds automated online programs (fixed-start and rolling), group telehealth and webinars, dedicated inbound and outbound eFax, SMS appointment confirmations and cancellations, advanced reporting, advanced email templates, calendar color schemes, and chat, email and video support. This is the first plan where a coach can run a structured program through Healthie, which is why it is the realistic starting point for many coaching businesses.
Group: team tools
Group adds a shared organization calendar, care teams, roles and permissions, additional admin licenses, internal team chat, custom features and workflows, and one-to-one support. Each added provider costs $50 a month and comes with a free support account. Group is only $20 a month above Plus on monthly billing, so a practice with even one colleague should price it before buying two separate accounts.
Enterprise: quote only
Healthie lists Enterprise for larger organizations and publishes no price. It is aimed at organizations delivering care at scale rather than at independent coaches.

What fees does Healthie charge on top of the plan?
The fee nearly every coach will pay is card processing at 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction through Stripe. Everything else is optional and mostly clinical, but a few items are priced inconsistently or not priced at all.
| Fee | Listed amount (October 2026) | Does a coach usually need it? |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe card processing | 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction | Yes, if clients pay through Healthie |
| Extra provider seat (Group) | $50 a month per provider, with a free support account | Only with a team |
| ClaimMD insurance claims | Listed as "starting at $30 a month" in one place and "starting at $25 a month" plus a $50 to $100 setup fee in another | Rarely; coaches do not usually bill insurance |
| DoseSpot e-prescribing | $40 per clinician per month, no setup fee | No; prescribing is outside coaching |
| Inbound eFax line | $10 a month on Essentials; dedicated eFax is included from Plus | Rarely |
| AI charting | Add-on on Plus and Group; no published price | Optional; ask for a quote if you want it |
| Controlled substances e-prescribing | Add-on on Group; no published price | No |
| API access | Add-on on Group; "additional fees apply", no published price | Only with custom development |
| Overages on client caps | No overage fee published; you move up a plan | Plan for it as you grow |
Healthie does list some things as included at no extra charge: its HIPAA-compliant Zoom integration carries no additional cost, and the Fullscript account for supplements and labs is included. No separate Stripe account or login is required to accept payments. The page's feature table shows the Zoom integration from Plus, so a Core or Essentials user should confirm how video works on their plan.
The card fee scales with your revenue. As an arithmetic example only, not a rate recommendation, a $300 charge costs $9.00 to process: $8.70 from the 2.9% and $0.30 flat. Splitting that same $300 into three $100 payments costs $9.60 in total, because the flat part applies three times. Stripe charges exist on nearly any platform that uses it, so treat this as a cost of taking cards, not as something unique to Healthie.
What does a coach actually pay on Healthie at three sizes?
On the example below, a solo coach pays about $92 a month in subscription and card fees, a growing program-based coach about $400, and a three-coach team about $1,330, before the other tools they would still need. The card fees are the largest part of those totals, and the assumptions are ours, so swap in your own.
Assumptions for all three: every active client pays one $300 card charge a month, purely to make the arithmetic visible, on monthly billing. That means $9.00 of processing per client.
| Line | Solo: 8 clients | Growing: 30 clients, runs programs | Team: 3 coaches, 120 clients |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful (booking, payments, programs, website, email included in your membership) | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Team plans add coach seats: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients |
| Healthie plan needed | Core | Plus (online programs start here) | Group with 2 extra providers |
| Healthie subscription, monthly billing | $19.99 | $129.99 | $149.99 + $100 = $249.99 |
| Subscription on annual billing | $18 | $115 | $135 + $100 = $235 |
| Stripe processing in this example | 8 × $9 = $72 | 30 × $9 = $270 | 120 × $9 = $1,080 |
| Healthie plus card fees, monthly billing | $91.99 | $399.99 | $1,329.99 |
| Tools still needed beside Healthie | Public website; email list and sequences | Website; sales funnels; email sequences; a course and community tool if you sell them | The same set, usually with team logins for each one |
Two notes on reading that table. First, card processing still applies if you take payments elsewhere. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee and runs on your own Stripe or Razorpay account, so its processing goes to the processor at that processor's rate rather than disappearing. The honest comparison line is the subscription plus the tools beside it, not the card fees.
Second, we have not put numbers on the "tools still needed" row because they vary too much by vendor and list size. Healthie's pricing page does not list a public website builder, sales funnels, email sequences, courses or a community, so if your business depends on any of them, get a real quote for each and add it to the row. Then use the package pricing calculator to set a package price that carries those costs, and read our guide to retainer versus package pricing for worked examples of each structure.
What hidden costs and gotchas should coaches check?
Most of Healthie's prices are public, which helps. The traps are in the trial setup, the plan boundaries and a few contradictions on its own pricing page.
- The trial is on Plus, not on the plan you may buy. You test programs and group video for 14 days, then lose them if you drop to Core or Essentials. Before the trial ends, list what you relied on and check it against the plan you intend to pay for.
- The pricing page disagrees with itself on ClaimMD. The Essentials plan card lists the ClaimMD integration, while the feature table shows it from Plus. The price also appears as both $30 a month and $25 a month plus setup. If you need claims, get the answer in writing.
- Plan cards and the feature table also differ on billing forms. The monthly Essentials card lists CMS 1500s and custom form building, the annual Essentials card leaves them out, and the feature table shows the form builder on every plan. It looks like a page inconsistency, but confirm any feature you are buying the plan for.
- "No add-ons" sits beside a list of add-ons. The page says its plans "don't require add-ons, credits, or fees", which is fair for the base product, yet AI charting, e-prescribing, claims and API access are all charged separately. Add-ons without a published price need a quote before you plan around them.
- Rounded prices in the feature table. The table header shows $19, $49, $129 and $149 for monthly billing, while the cards show the true $19.99, $49.99, $129.99 and $149.99. A small thing, but budget from the cards.
- The active client cap creates price steps. Client number 11 moves you from $19.99 to $49.99, and client number 251 moves you to $129.99. The pricing page does not explain how "active" is counted, so ask whether past clients with stored records count against the cap.
- The trust signals are thin. Healthie had a Trustpilot score of 4.0 from only 5 reviews when seen on 29 October 2026. That is too small a sample to tell you much either way, so ask for references if a long commitment is involved.
- Data export. We could not confirm export options from Healthie's official documentation for this article. Ask how you get your client records out before you put them in, especially on annual billing.
The larger hidden cost is less visible: paying for a charting system when you do not chart. An EHR's structure of patients, charts and care plans can also shape how your clients experience your service, so look at the client portal during the trial and decide whether it feels right for coaching.
Is Healthie worth it for your kind of coaching?
Healthie is worth it when clinical compliance is part of the job, for example if you are a dietitian, a licensed professional or a coach working inside a clinical team. For most coaches who sell programs and never handle insurance, you would be paying for clinical tools you do not use while still needing marketing tools elsewhere.
A quick word on scope, since this article sits close to health care. Coaching is not treatment. A health coach supports behavior change and does not diagnose, prescribe or treat, and the NBHWC scope of practice is a good reference for where that line sits. Refer clients to a doctor, dietitian or mental health professional when symptoms, medication, disordered eating or anything clinical comes up. Separately, whether HIPAA applies to you depends on what you do and how you bill; the HHS covered entity guidance is the official starting point, and a healthcare attorney can settle your specific case.
Pay for Healthie if you are one of these
- Registered dietitians and nutrition professionals who chart, send superbills or bill insurance. This is who the product is built around, and the BAA takes effect automatically when the account is created.
- Licensed clinicians who also coach and want a single compliant record for both sides of the practice.
- Health coaches inside a clinic or care team, where records must live in the same HIPAA-compliant system as the rest of the team. Healthie lists health coaching among the clinical focuses it serves.
- Coaches whose employer or referral partner requires a HIPAA-compliant system. In that case, the requirement settles the question.
Look elsewhere if you are one of these
- Life, career, business, mindset or executive coaches. You would likely use scheduling, payments, messaging and a portal, and little of the rest. Charting and fax do nothing for you.
- Program-based coaches on a budget. Programs start at Plus, so you pay for the higher tier and still need a website and email tool. See how a coaching setup compares on our coaching software page.
- Coaches who sell courses or run a community. Neither appears on Healthie's pricing page, so those would be separate subscriptions and separate logins for your clients.
- Coaches just starting out. Core is cheap and fine for trying out one workflow, but a new coach also needs to be found and hired. See our page for new coaches.

Where does Coachful fit if you do not need an EHR?
Coachful is the better fit for coaches who do not need a clinical record and want one subscription for the whole client journey. It covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients.
It is built for coaches who deliver programs and not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing 4 to 6 separate tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and has a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 21 reviews. Current plans: (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Plans are flat and monthly, lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, team plans add seats, and monthly plans cancel in one click.
Here is how programs work, in a short walkthrough:
What Coachful does that matters in a Healthie comparison
- Programs at the center. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Where Healthie reserves programs for its higher tiers, this is the core of the product.
- Payments through your own account. Your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account handles one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons and refunds, with a 0% Coachful platform fee. See coaching payment software.
- Booking and video. Booking pages with availability rules, two-way Google, Apple and Outlook sync, built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links, and intake questions on booking. More on our scheduling software page.
- Agreements before the first call. Coaching agreements with e-signature, stored on the client record. See coaching contracts.
- Getting found. A section-based website builder with a blog and custom domain, booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels, plus email lists and multi-step sequences. These are the tools you would otherwise add beside Healthie.
- Group work. Cohort groups created automatically on program enrollment, community feed, group chat and group calls. See group coaching software.
- Nutrition and fitness tools, if you need them. The Fitness & Nutrition pack adds nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, and weekly check-ins. That covers much of what a health coach might want from Healthie's journaling, without the charting.
- Michelle, the built-in AI assistant. It works from your live practice data to build programs, draft emails, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before sessions. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

What Coachful does not do
Be clear on this before you choose it, because in the areas where Healthie is strongest, Coachful is not a substitute.
- It is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping. Clinical records belong in a clinical system such as Healthie.
- No insurance billing, superbills, claims or e-prescribing.
- No PayPal and no permanent free plan.
- No Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and no stock exercise videos.
- The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.
How to start
Start a free trial, then decide whether to build your setup yourself or ask the team to do it. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and a full client data export is available as a ZIP if you ever leave.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can go to Create and pick "We'll build it for you", describe what you want, and attach up to 8 reference links and 10 files. The Coachful team then builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. That can be a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, form or link in bio. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. As one anonymized example, a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. Read more in our white-glove service guide.

How does Healthie pricing compare with alternatives?
Healthie's Core plan is one of the lowest entry prices among the clinical tools here. The choice depends less on the headline price than on whether you need a clinical record or a complete coaching business in one login, which is what we weigh here, along with total stack cost.
| Tool | Entry price | Unlimited or top tier | Payment fees | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | 0% platform fee; only Stripe or Razorpay processing | Coaches who want programs, booking, payments, website, email and community in one login; not for clinical records |
| Healthie | $19.99/mo ($18 annual) for 10 active clients | $129.99/mo ($115 annual) for unlimited clients; Group from $149.99/mo | Stripe 2.9% + $0.30 | Dietitians, nutrition and wellness providers who need an EHR with a BAA |
| SimplePractice | $49/mo, monthly billing only | $99/mo Plus; each additional practitioner $74/mo; custom for 6+ clinicians | Cards 3.15% + $0.30; insurance claims $0.39 each | Therapists and health practitioners who bill insurance |
| Practice Better | $0 for 3 clients; then $35/mo ($25 annual) for 10 | $99/mo ($89 annual) for unlimited; Team from $155/mo ($145 annual) | No platform fee stated; Stripe-powered, rates not listed | Wellness and nutrition practitioners wanting charting and programs |
| Paperbell | $97/mo or $970 a year, single plan | Same plan; unlimited clients | "No additional transaction fees"; processor fees apply | Solo coaches who want a simple all-in-one for packages and booking |
Vendor prices above are as listed in October 2026 and can change, so check before you buy. For the head-to-head detail, read Healthie vs SimplePractice, Practice Better vs Healthie and Healthie vs Paperbell. There are also comparisons with coaching-first tools, including CoachAccountable, Delenta, Satori and Simply Coach, and our full comparison hub brings them together.

SimplePractice costs more at entry than Healthie and lists monthly billing only. It also charges $20 per clinician per year for AMA CPT code access, a cost tied to insurance billing that a coach normally does not need. It has no coaching programs, courses or community features, and held a Trustpilot score of 2.6 from 1,616 reviews (seen 29 October 2026).

Practice Better is the nearest like-for-like. It has a free plan, though for just 3 clients, and its Plus tier at $99 a month undercuts Healthie's Plus for unlimited clients. Evergreen programs, portal branding, a custom URL and SMS start on that Plus plan. An older profile noted no website builder or funnel pages, so check the current state if that matters. It held a Trustpilot score of 3.8 from 87 reviews (seen 25 October 2026).

How can you save money on Healthie?
The biggest saving is choosing the lowest plan that genuinely covers your work, then paying annually once you are sure. Healthie advertises about 10% off for annual billing, and the listed prices work out as follows.
- Pay annually once you trust the fit. Against 12 monthly payments, annual saves $23.88 on Core, $59.88 on Essentials, and $179.88 on both Plus and Group. Do not commit in the first month.
- Stay on Essentials unless you need programs or group sessions. Moving to Plus costs $80 more a month on monthly billing, or $960 a year. Check that the programs, group video and SMS confirmations are worth that. If you only need a template plan for clients, the care plans on every tier may do.
- Use Core only as a true starter. It is good value up to 10 active clients, but plan for the step up to Essentials as soon as you approach the cap.
- Share a Group account instead of two Plus accounts. Two coaches on Group cost $199.99 a month, against $259.98 for two separate Plus accounts on monthly billing, and they get a shared calendar and team permissions as well.
- Decline clinical add-ons. ClaimMD, DoseSpot and eFax lines are only useful if you bill insurance, prescribe or fax. Most coaches can skip all three.
- Lower your card fees with larger, less frequent charges. Since $0.30 applies per transaction, one payment costs less to process than several smaller ones. Offer a modest incentive for paying in full if that suits your clients, and see our piece on coaching package pricing before you change what you charge.
- Run the numbers on your whole stack. Add up Healthie, your website, your email tool and any course or community tool. A low subscription can stop being cheap once three other tools sit around it. If you already run a full practice, the page for established coaches shows what a move to one platform covers.
If your total stack comes out higher than a single platform and you do not need a clinical record, moving everything to one login may save both money and admin. Teams can see how seats work on the team page.
Healthie pricing FAQ
How much does Healthie cost per month?
As listed in October 2026, Healthie costs $19.99 a month on Core, $49.99 on Essentials, $129.99 on Plus and from $149.99 on Group. Annual billing brings those down to $18, $45, $115 and $135 a month. Enterprise is quote only. Stripe processing at 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction comes on top when clients pay through the platform.
Does Healthie have a free plan or free trial?
Healthie has no permanent free plan. It offers a 14-day trial of the Plus plan with no credit card required, according to its pricing page in October 2026. Because the trial runs on Plus, check which features you would keep on a lower plan before it ends.
Which Healthie plan includes online programs?
Plan cards and the feature table both show automated online programs starting on Plus, at $129.99 a month or $115 on annual billing. Essentials and Core do not show them. Other tier features on the page are inconsistent, so confirm during your trial if programs are the reason you are buying.
What transaction fee does Healthie charge?
Healthie lists a transaction fee of 2.9% + $0.30 for payments processed through its Stripe integration. You do not need a separate Stripe account or login. On a $300 example charge, that works out to $9.00.
Is Healthie HIPAA compliant?
Healthie describes itself as HIPAA and SOC 2 compliant, and its BAA takes effect automatically when the account is created. That is one of the main reasons to choose it if you handle protected health information. Whether HIPAA applies to you personally depends on your work, so check with a healthcare attorney if you are unsure.
Is Healthie good for coaches who are not clinicians?
It can work, and Healthie lists health coaching among the clinical focuses it serves. Still, its charting, fax, billing forms and e-prescribing options are built for clinicians, and its pricing page lists no website builder, funnels, courses or community. A non-clinical coach usually gets better value from a platform built for coaching.
What is the best Healthie alternative for coaches?
For coaches who do not need a clinical record, Coachful is our recommendation, because booking, payments, programs, courses, community, website and email sit in one login (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Clinicians who need a BAA should use a clinical system such as Healthie or SimplePractice. The comparison table above sets out the differences.
Can I use Coachful instead of Healthie for clinical records?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, offers no BAA, and is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. If you keep clinical records, keep them in a clinical system. Coachful suits the coaching side: programs, habits, check-ins, booking, payments and marketing.
What is Coachful's white-glove build service?
It is a free service on every plan where the Coachful team builds what you describe inside your own account, such as a website, funnel, program, email sequence or form. It usually takes about 24 hours. It leaves gaps rather than inventing credentials, testimonials or prices, and it excludes video recording, logo design, ad management and ongoing marketing.
Can I export my data from Healthie?
We could not confirm Healthie's export options from its official documentation for this article. Essentials and above do list data transfer support for moving in. Ask Healthie directly how client records can be exported before you commit, especially on an annual plan.
