Healthie vs Satori in 2026: Which Should Coaches Pick?

Healthie vs Satori in 2026: Which Should Coaches Pick?

Healthie vs Satori comes down to one question: are you running a health practice or a coaching practice? Healthie is practice management and telehealth built for dietitians, nutrition and wellness providers, with a HIPAA business associate agreement that takes effect when you create the account. Satori is a lighter coaching admin tool for scheduling, a client portal, packages, invoices and contracts, with a plan for coaches still in certification. If you keep clinical records, Healthie fits. If you sell coaching packages and want low admin, Satori fits. If you deliver programs between sessions and want your website, payments and client app in one place, neither is the best fit, and that is where a third option comes in.

We make Coachful, so read our recommendation with that in mind. This article stays factual about both tools: every Healthie figure below is as listed on its pricing page in October 2026, and Satori's dollar amounts are as listed in September 2026, because its current pricing page renders prices with JavaScript and they did not load when we checked it in October. We have not run either product hands-on; we report what each vendor documents and what public reviewers say.

What is the short answer to Healthie vs Satori?

Pick Healthie if you need HIPAA coverage, charting and optional insurance or e-prescribing add-ons. Pick Satori if you are a solo coach who wants simple booking, packages and contracts at a low monthly price. Pick Coachful if your coaching happens between sessions, through programs, habits and check-ins, and you want one login for the whole client journey.

  • Registered dietitian or licensed nutrition provider: Healthie. It is built for clinical work, the BAA is automatic, and ClaimMD insurance claims and DoseSpot e-prescribing are available as add-ons.
  • Coach in training, studying for an ICF-type credential: Satori's Scholar plan, which Satori describes as free for people studying for a coaching certification (you apply through a form), with unlimited pro-bono clients.
  • Solo life, business or career coach with under ten paying clients: Satori Essentials is cheap and covers the admin basics.
  • Health, wellness or fitness coach (not a clinician) who sells multi-week programs: Coachful. You get programs with daily tasks, habits and check-ins, a client app with your branding, a website and funnels, without paying for clinical tools you will not use.
  • Small clinical group: Healthie's Group plan, which adds provider seats.

The rest of this comparison explains each of those calls in detail, starting with the side-by-side view.

How do Healthie and Satori compare side by side?

Healthie has more depth for clinical work; Satori is simpler and cheaper for pure coaching admin. Ranking criteria for this table: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort (including whether someone builds it for you).

Two things stand out. First, Healthie's client caps are generous once you leave Core: 250 active clients on a plan under $50 a month is a lot of room. Second, Satori counts only active clients toward billing, so a coach with a long list of past clients pays for the people they are coaching now, not the archive.

How much do Healthie and Satori cost?

For a solo practice with up to 10 clients, Healthie Core ($19.99/mo) is cheaper than Satori Essentials ($33/mo). Past 10 clients, Healthie Essentials ($49.99/mo for up to 250) is roughly the same as Satori Pro ($49/mo for up to 50), and Healthie pulls ahead once you pass 50 clients.

Satori's dollar figures are as listed in September 2026. Satori advertises annual billing as "Get 2 Months Free", so the annual per-month numbers above are our arithmetic (monthly price times ten, divided by twelve), not figures Satori prints. Confirm current prices on Satori's own page before you buy; our Satori pricing breakdown tracks the plan changes.

What do the add-ons and fees add?

Healthie's add-ons are where the bill can grow. As listed in October 2026:

  • ClaimMD insurance claims: listed as $30/mo, or $25/mo plus a $50 to $100 setup fee.
  • DoseSpot e-prescribing: $40 per clinician per month.
  • AI charting: offered, with no published price.
  • Inbound eFax line: $10/mo.

Most coaches need none of these. Insurance claims and e-prescribing are clinical services; if you are a coach rather than a licensed provider, you would not bill insurance or prescribe in the first place. Healthie lists Stripe processing at 2.9% + $0.30 per payment.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

Satori has no add-ons in our research. It takes no cut of client payments; you pay the standard Stripe or PayPal processing fees. Its free trial runs 15 days with unrestricted access and no credit card during the trial (a card is needed to continue), and Satori refunds you if you ask within 30 days of signing up. Healthie offers a free trial too; its length was not part of our research.

What does each tool cost at different practice sizes?

Here is a worked example using the listed monthly prices. The client counts are examples, not data about any real practice.

Tool8 active clients25 active clients80 active clients300 active clients
CoachfulSolo: $49/month for up to 20 clientsPro: $99/month with unlimited clientsPro: $99/month with unlimited clientsPro: $99/month with unlimited clients

SatoriEssentials, $33/moPro, $49/moLeader, $124/moPast the listed Leader cap of 150; ask Satori

The sticker price is only half the story. Neither Healthie nor Satori documents a website builder, funnels or email sequences in our research, so a coach who sells online usually adds a website tool, an email tool and often a course or community tool on top. That stack is the real comparison. Coachful's price covers the website, funnels, email, courses and community, and Coachful charges a 0% platform fee on client payments, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.

Which handles scheduling and sessions better?

Both handle the basics of booking. Healthie adds telehealth for clinical visits; Satori covers discovery-call booking and session packages, but by its September 2026 profile it has no native Zoom integration.

Healthie documents booking, a client portal and telehealth, which makes sense for a dietitian who sees clients by video and needs the visit to sit inside a HIPAA-covered system. Satori's scheduling is built around coaching packages: a client buys a package, books sessions against it, and you see what is left. Essentials includes booking for discovery sessions. The September 2026 profile listed booking caps per tier (60 bookings on Essentials, 120 on Pro, unlimited on Leader); Satori's October page highlights active clients instead, so check whether booking limits still apply to your plan.

The missing Zoom integration matters more than it sounds. If your sessions run on Zoom, you either paste links by hand or run Zoom alongside the booking flow. Coaches comparing Satori with dedicated schedulers often weigh exactly this; our Calendly vs Satori comparison covers it.

For reference, Coachful's booking pages include availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync, and built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Clients get email reminders, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions and session credits and ask intake questions at booking. More on that on the scheduling software page.

Which is better for programs, notes and client records?

Healthie is stronger on records because it is built for charting. Satori is stronger on coaching structure because it is built around packages and programs. Neither, in our research, offers the daily habit and check-in layer that many wellness coaches now build their programs around.

Healthie: charting first

Healthie's core is the clinical record: charting, a client portal, booking and telehealth, in a system where the BAA is in place from day one. It also lists online programs, but Healthie's own plan cards and comparison table disagree on which tier includes them (and on which tier includes ClaimMD), so ask Healthie in writing which plan you need before you rely on programs. Healthie lists AI charting as an add-on with no published price.

Satori: packages first

Satori organizes your practice around packages and programs: what a client bought, how many sessions remain, the invoices and the signed contract. Pro adds group coaching and custom branding (September 2026 profile). It also exports a coaching log for ICF credentialing, which is genuinely useful for coaches working toward ACC or PCC. A general client-data export was not confirmed in our research. By its September 2026 profile, Satori has no courses, no community and no landing pages. Our full Satori review goes through each feature.

What is missing from both?

Neither documents structured between-session work in our research: daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, streaks and goals with progress bars. For a nutrition or wellness coach, that is often where the results happen. A client changes behavior on the twelve days between calls, not during the call. If that is your model, the tool should prompt the client every day and show you who is slipping before the next session.

How do payments, invoices and contracts compare?

Satori supports both PayPal and Stripe with no Satori fee; Healthie runs payments through Stripe at 2.9% + $0.30. Both handle invoices. Satori lists contracts as a core feature.

  • Healthie: payments through Stripe, built into the practice record. Insurance claims are a separate add-on through ClaimMD.
  • Satori: PayPal and Stripe, invoices, packages and contracts in one place. If many of your clients prefer PayPal, this is a real advantage.

Coachful runs payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax, with an invoice per transaction plus manual invoices. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and stay on the client record. Coachful does not support PayPal, so if PayPal is essential to you, Satori wins this point. See coaching contracts and coaching payment software for detail.

What about HIPAA, compliance and scope of practice?

Healthie is the only one of the three with a HIPAA BAA, and it applies automatically when you create the account. Satori does not offer one in our research, and Coachful is not HIPAA-certified. If you are a covered entity storing protected health information, that settles it: use Healthie or another clinical system.

Many health coaches are not covered entities, but the line is worth stating clearly. Coaching is not medical treatment, nutrition therapy or mental health care. A health or wellness coach supports behavior change and accountability; they do not diagnose, treat or prescribe. Refer a client to a doctor, registered dietitian or licensed therapist when you see:

  • signs of an eating disorder, such as restriction, bingeing, purging or compulsive exercise;
  • unexplained weight change, chest pain, fainting or other new physical symptoms;
  • questions about medication, supplements alongside medication, or a diagnosed condition such as diabetes or kidney disease;
  • pregnancy, recent surgery or any condition where diet changes need medical oversight;
  • depression, anxiety, self-harm thoughts or trauma responses that go beyond coaching.

If you keep clinical notes, bill insurance or work under a medical license, keep those records in a clinical system like Healthie. Our Practice Better vs Healthie comparison and Healthie vs SimplePractice comparison cover the clinical options in more depth.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

What does the client experience look like?

Healthie gives clients a portal tied to their health record. Satori gives clients a portal for sessions, packages, invoices and contracts, and by its September 2026 profile it has no native mobile app, so clients use the browser.

Satori homepage on desktop
Satori's homepage in October 2026.

Think about what your client does on a Tuesday between sessions. In a Healthie portal they reach booking and payments inside the same system that holds their record. In Satori they can see their package, book the next session, pay and sign. Both are good at the administrative side of the relationship. Neither, in our research, is built to be the place a client opens every morning to log a habit or answer a check-in.

Public review data is thin for both. Healthie shows 4.0 on Trustpilot from 5 reviews, as seen in October 2026. Satori's Trustpilot page had no reviews when checked in October 2026; its September 2026 profile recorded 4.5 on Capterra from 13 reviews. Neither sample is large enough to lean on, so use the free trials and test the client side yourself with a friend acting as the client.

In Coachful, the client gets one branded home in the Coachful app with your branding: their next session, programs, habits, check-ins, documents, courses and the community feed. You see each client marked thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you know who to message before they disappear.

Is there a third option? Coachful, honestly

Yes. For coaches who deliver programs rather than clinical care, Coachful beats both on between-session delivery and on total stack cost; it does not beat Healthie on HIPAA or Satori on PayPal.

What Coachful is, who it is for, what it does not do

What it is. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant called Michelle, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and has a 4.5 Trustpilot score from 21 reviews.

Who it is for. Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; coaches replacing four to six tools. That includes health, wellness and fitness coaches who work on behavior change rather than treatment. See Coachful for health coaches.

What it does not do. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. It has no PayPal and no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. There is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, Apple Health sync is not publicly available, and there are no stock exercise videos (you attach your own demos).

How to start. Start a free trial, then ask the team to build your setup for you through the white-glove service described below. Current plans: (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients).

When Coachful beats both

  • Between-session delivery. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Cohort groups are created automatically when clients enroll in a program.
  • One login for the whole journey. Website, booking, application and lead-magnet funnels, checkout, contract, onboarding, program, community and email sequences all live in one account. Neither Healthie nor Satori documents a website builder or funnels in our research.
  • Health and fitness depth for coaches. The Fitness & Nutrition pack adds a workout builder with illustrated exercises, nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins and private form-check video with timestamped coach comments.
  • Credential tracking. Satori's ICF coaching-log export is useful; Coachful goes further and counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds, then exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours. More on ICF hour tracking.
  • Fees. A 0% platform fee on client payments since August 2026; you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.

Here is a short walkthrough of how programs are built and delivered in Coachful:

When Coachful does not beat them

  • You need HIPAA coverage. Pick Healthie. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA.
  • You bill insurance or prescribe. Pick Healthie with the ClaimMD or DoseSpot add-ons.
  • Your clients pay by PayPal. Pick Satori, which supports PayPal; Coachful does not.
  • You are still in certification and coaching pro bono. Satori's Scholar plan costs nothing if you are accepted, and every Coachful plan is a paid subscription after the trial.
  • You need wearable data. None of Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync with Coachful.

Coachful also includes Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, which works from your live practice data: it builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before each session. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. For credential-minded coaches, Michelle can also give optional private feedback on your coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8.

Why Coachful stands out

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create > We'll build it for you and describe what you want: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, coaching flow, form, email sequence, link in bio, lead quiz, webinar or automation. Attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices; gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Recent anonymized builds show what that looks like for health-adjacent coaches. A menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. For a coach coming from Healthie or Satori with no website at all, this removes the hardest part of moving to an all-in-one tool. Your clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding too.

How do you switch from Healthie or Satori without losing clients?

Export first, move one cohort at a time, and keep the old tool running until every active client has booked in the new one.

  1. Export what you can. From Satori, export the ICF coaching log at minimum, plus client lists, contracts and invoices. Healthie's data export was not confirmed in official documentation in our research, so ask Healthie support what format you can get, especially for chart notes you must keep.
  2. Keep clinical records clinical. If you hold protected health information in Healthie, leave it in a HIPAA-covered system. Move coaching programs and non-clinical material only.
  3. Rebuild offers before you invite anyone. Set up booking, payments and agreements, then your first program. In Coachful, the white-glove team can build these, and onboarding imports clients, programs and content for you.
  4. Move clients at a natural break. The end of a package or program block is the easiest point to switch someone.
  5. Cancel last. Only cancel the old plan once no active client depends on it.

Our step-by-step guide on how to migrate from Satori has a checklist, and the Satori alternative page compares the two directly. If you are still comparing more tools, the comparison hub lists them.

Frequently asked questions

Is Healthie or Satori better for health coaches?

It depends on whether you work clinically. Healthie is built for dietitians and licensed nutrition and wellness providers and includes a HIPAA BAA. Satori is a coaching admin tool without clinical features. Non-clinical health coaches who deliver programs often find both a partial fit and look at an all-in-one coaching platform instead.

Is Satori HIPAA compliant?

Our research found no HIPAA BAA from Satori. If you need HIPAA coverage, Healthie's BAA takes effect automatically when you create the account. Ask any vendor for a signed BAA in writing before storing protected health information.

Which is cheaper, Healthie or Satori?

Up to 10 clients, Healthie Core at $19.99/mo is cheaper than Satori Essentials at $33/mo (Satori's price as listed in September 2026). Between 11 and 50 clients they are close, with Healthie Essentials at $49.99/mo and Satori Pro at $49/mo. Above 50 clients, Healthie Essentials covers up to 250, which beats Satori Leader at $124/mo.

Does Satori have a free plan?

Satori's Scholar plan is free for people studying for a coaching certification, by application, with unlimited pro-bono clients. Everyone else starts on a 15-day trial with no card needed during the trial, and Satori refunds you if you ask within 30 days of signing up.

Does Healthie charge transaction fees?

Healthie lists Stripe processing at 2.9% + $0.30 per payment. Insurance claims through ClaimMD, e-prescribing through DoseSpot and an eFax line are separate add-ons.

Do Healthie and Satori have mobile apps?

Satori had no native mobile app in its September 2026 profile, so clients use a browser. Healthie's mobile options were not part of our research, so check with Healthie directly. Coachful gives clients your branding inside the Coachful app.

Can I build a website or sales funnel in Healthie or Satori?

Neither documents a website builder or funnels in our research; Satori's September 2026 profile notes no landing pages. Most coaches using either one add a separate website and email tool. Coachful includes a website builder, funnels and email sequences in the membership.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

On every Coachful plan, you can ask the team to build something for you inside your own account: a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence, form and more. You attach up to 8 reference links and 10 files, and builds usually arrive within about 24 hours. The team never invents credentials, testimonials or prices, and the service does not cover video recording, logo design or ads.

Can Coachful replace Healthie for a dietitian?

Not for clinical work. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not support insurance billing or e-prescribing, so a dietitian keeping clinical records should stay in a clinical system. Some providers run clinical care in a tool like Healthie and use a coaching platform only for non-clinical programs and community.

Which tool tracks ICF coaching hours?

Satori exports a coaching log for ICF credentialing. Coachful counts hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours. Healthie is not built around coaching credentials.
