TimeTuna vs Paperbell: Which Fits Your Coaching in 2026?

TimeTuna vs Paperbell comes down to one question: do you need a booking page, or a back office? TimeTuna is a branded scheduler with a free plan and paid tiers that cost a few dollars a month; Paperbell is a single-price admin tool for solo coaches that bundles booking with packages, payments, contracts, a client portal and a simple website. If you only need clients to find a time and pay for a call, TimeTuna costs far less. If you sell packages and want contracts and a portal in one place, Paperbell covers more of the job. If you run programs where clients need support between sessions, neither is built for that, and a third option is worth a look.
We make Coachful, a coaching platform, so we have a stake in this comparison. We have kept the TimeTuna and Paperbell facts to what each vendor documents on its own site, as listed in October 2026, and to what public reviewers report. We have not run either tool with real clients, and where public information is thin (TimeTuna has almost no public reviews), we say so.
What is the short answer, by use case?
Pick TimeTuna if you want a cheap, good-looking booking page; pick Paperbell if you want packages, contracts and a client portal under one price. Here is how that splits by the kind of coaching practice you run.
- You just started and need people to book a discovery call. TimeTuna's free plan already includes unlimited booking pages, calendar sync and automatic video links. Paperbell's single plan is more than you need on day one.
- You sell paid single sessions. TimeTuna can take Stripe payments, but only on its Executive plan. Paperbell takes payments on its one plan, through Stripe or PayPal.
- You sell multi-session packages. Paperbell is built around packages. TimeTuna's own Paperbell comparison page lists client packages and programs as "Coming soon".
- You need signed coaching agreements before the first call. Paperbell includes contracts. TimeTuna lists contracts as "Coming soon" on the same comparison page.
- You run group programs, courses or habit-based coaching. Neither is a strong fit. Paperbell has group coaching and online classes but, per earlier profiles, no community or habit tracking; TimeTuna has none of these. This is where Coachful fits, and we cover it honestly below.
- You run a small team. TimeTuna's Executive plan shares with up to 6 people and adds round-robin from Pro. Paperbell is priced per coach.
If you are already on Paperbell and only looking because of the price, read our Paperbell pricing breakdown first; it explains what the one plan covers.
How do TimeTuna, Paperbell and Coachful compare side by side?
We rank on four criteria: one login for the whole client journey, support between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort (including a free white-glove build). On those criteria Coachful comes first, Paperbell second, TimeTuna third, though TimeTuna wins outright on booking-only price.
| Tool | What it is | Best for | Packages and programs | Contracts | Client portal or app |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaching platform: booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, website, email and AI in one login | Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions | Multi-week programs with goals, daily tasks, habits and check-ins; session credits | Yes, e-signature before the first call | Branded client home and app with the coach's branding inside the Coachful app |
| Paperbell | All-in-one admin for solo coaches | Solo coaches selling session packages | Packages; group coaching; online classes and digital downloads | Yes | Client portal in the browser; no native mobile app (older profile) |
| TimeTuna | Branded booking-page scheduler | Coaches who mainly need people to book calls | "Coming soon" on its own comparison page | "Coming soon" on its own comparison page | None mentioned on the site |

What is TimeTuna, and who is it for?
TimeTuna is a scheduling tool that gives you branded booking pages; its homepage audience tabs list coaches first, then consultants, founders and agencies. It is a small vendor, and the main thing to know is that it does booking well and very little else.
On the free plan, as listed in October 2026, you get unlimited booking pages, custom image and video backgrounds, two-way sync with Google, Microsoft and iCal calendars, automatic Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams links, in-person events, cross-time-zone scheduling, a "best 3 slots" suggestion, a website embed and email confirmations. No credit card is required. That is a generous free tier for a booking tool.
Paid plans add the pieces a working coach eventually wants. Pro brings a custom booking form, custom branding, a custom domain, custom reminders, multi-host pages and round-robin scheduling. Executive adds team sharing for up to 6 people, Stripe payments for paid bookings (a slot is confirmed only once payment clears), SMS confirmations and reminders through your own Twilio account, webhooks and Zapier, and personal support from the founders. A White label plan lets agencies resell the tool under their own brand to up to 10 client companies.
Some things to know before you commit:
- It is new and lightly reviewed. We found no review-site profile for TimeTuna (its Trustpilot address returns nothing), so there is no public reviewer sentiment to report, good or bad.
- It was renamed. Site assets and its API still use the name Bookva, and third-party directories say it was renamed from Bookva.ai. Worth knowing if you search for older reviews.
- Data handling is documented. Its GDPR page describes a self-serve JSON export of your profile, booking pages and bookings, delivered as a one-time link that expires after 10 minutes, with core data hosted in London.
- No coaching delivery. The site mentions no courses, community, client portal or native mobile app.
What is Paperbell, and who is it for?
Paperbell is an all-in-one admin tool for solo coaches, sold as one plan with every feature included. It covers the business side of a one-to-one practice: a booking page, packages, payments, contracts and a client portal.

As listed in October 2026, the single plan includes a coaching website, scheduling, payments and packages, a client portal, contracts, email workflows, forms, group coaching, video call integration, notes, digital downloads, online classes and custom branding. Clients, sessions, files, packages and traffic are unlimited. Paperbell says there are "no upsells or hidden add-ons" and "no additional transaction fees"; your payment processor (Stripe or PayPal, per an earlier profile) still charges its own fees.
Where it stops, according to earlier product profiles: no full course builder or LMS, no community space, and no goal or habit tracking for clients; and no native mobile app, so clients use the portal in a mobile browser. The pricing page now lists online classes and digital downloads, so check the current scope of those if content matters to you. Our Paperbell review goes deeper, and what you get from the Paperbell website covers the site builder.
Public sentiment is mixed: Paperbell holds 3.5 on Trustpilot from 14 reviews (seen October 25, 2026). That is a small sample, so treat it as a signal rather than a verdict.
How does pricing compare?
TimeTuna is far cheaper: its paid plans cost a quarter or less of Paperbell's price, and its free plan costs nothing. Paperbell is one plan at $97 a month or $970 a year, with everything included.

One caution on TimeTuna's numbers. The site shows prices in euros or dollars depending on where it thinks you are; euros are the default and what an EU visitor sees. In euros, as listed in October 2026: Pro is €10 a month or €60 a year, Executive is €20 a month or €120 a year, and White label is €1,200 a year. The dollar figures below come from the site's own price table; our check ran from Europe, so we did not see them rendered from a US location. TimeTuna's own Paperbell comparison page also quotes a different figure ("$10/month ... $120 per year") that does not match its pricing table, so confirm the price at checkout.
| Tool and plan | Monthly | Yearly | Limits | Trial or guarantee | Platform fee on payments |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Flat monthly plans; monthly plans cancel in one click | Lower plans cap clients; for 15 clients: Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; unlimited: Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | A free trial | 0%; Stripe or Razorpay processing only |
| Paperbell (single plan) | $97 | $970 (about $80.83 a month) | Unlimited clients, sessions, files, packages | "Try For Free" (7 days per its help center, July 2026); 30-day money-back guarantee | None; Stripe or PayPal fees apply |
| TimeTuna Free | $0 | $0 | Unlimited booking pages; no payments | No card required | Not applicable |
| TimeTuna Pro | $11.50 (€10) | $70 (€60) | Single user | 14-day free trial | Not applicable (no payments on Pro) |
| TimeTuna Executive | $23 (€20) | $140 (€120) | Team sharing up to 6 people | 14-day free trial | None stated; Stripe fees apply |
| TimeTuna White label | Yearly only | $1,400 (€1,200) | Up to 10 client companies, 6 seats each | Set up on a 45-minute call | None stated; Stripe fees apply |
A few details that change the real cost:
- Paperbell's trial is limited. Its help center (July 2026) describes a 7-day trial during which your public site is offline and client messages and SMS are off. The 30-day money-back guarantee is the real safety net.
- TimeTuna's yearly toggle says "Save 50%". The yearly price works out to about $5.83 a month for Pro and $11.67 for Executive (our calculation from the yearly totals).
- TimeTuna SMS runs through your own Twilio account. TimeTuna says it adds no per-message fees, but Twilio bills you directly, so text reminders carry a separate cost.
- TimeTuna White label extras: an additional company is $140 a year (€120) and an additional seat is $25 a year (€20). Its FAQ also mentions a monthly white-label price of 200 EUR, while the plan card says "Billed yearly only".

Here is an example of what the gap looks like over a year for a solo coach who wants to take payments on bookings. These are list prices as of October 2026, not a quote:
- TimeTuna Executive, paid yearly: $140.
- Paperbell, paid yearly: $970. Paid monthly: $1,164.
The catch is that the two numbers do not buy the same thing. With TimeTuna you would still need separate tools for contracts, packages, a client portal and a website, and their cost is what decides whether TimeTuna is actually cheaper for you. If you already own those pieces, it probably is. If you do not, add them up before you compare.
How do booking and scheduling compare?
Booking is TimeTuna's strength and the one area where it matches or beats Paperbell. Both connect to your calendar and create video links, but TimeTuna offers more booking-page design and team scheduling options for less money.
TimeTuna, as listed in October 2026: unlimited booking pages on every plan, image and video backgrounds, two-way Google, Microsoft and iCal sync, automatic Zoom, Meet and Teams links, in-person events, time-zone handling, a "best 3 slots" suggestion and a website embed. Pro adds custom reminders, multi-host pages and round-robin. Executive adds SMS via Twilio and Zapier.
Paperbell includes scheduling and video call integration on its single plan, and booking is tied to the package a client bought, so a client who pays for six sessions can book against that package. That link between payment and sessions is the reason many coaches choose Paperbell over a plain scheduler.
Coachful's booking pages include availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links; email reminders, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp 1 hour before once messaging is enabled; paid sessions and session credits; intake questions on booking; and round-robin or least-busy assignment for multi-coach session types. Our scheduling software page shows the full setup.

How do payments, packages and contracts compare?
Paperbell clearly wins this section against TimeTuna. It sells packages, takes payments and sends contracts on its one plan, while TimeTuna takes Stripe payments only on Executive and lists packages and contracts as "Coming soon".
Payments. TimeTuna's Executive plan accepts Stripe payments for paid bookings, and the slot is confirmed only once payment clears. That is fine for single paid calls. Paperbell handles payments for packages through Stripe or PayPal (per an earlier profile) with no extra transaction fee.
Packages. If your offer is "six sessions over three months", you want the tool to track how many sessions a client has left. Paperbell is built around this. TimeTuna does not offer it today.
Contracts. A coaching agreement signed before the first session protects you and sets expectations. Paperbell includes contracts. With TimeTuna you would need a separate e-signature tool and a manual step to check that the agreement is signed before the call.
Coachful runs payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax, with an invoice per transaction plus manual invoices. There has been a 0% Coachful platform fee since August 2026, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. Note that Coachful does not support PayPal, which matters if your clients expect it. See coaching contracts for how agreements work.

What does the client experience look like in each?
With TimeTuna, the client sees a well-designed booking page and a confirmation email, and that is the whole experience. With Paperbell, the client also gets a portal in the browser to see sessions, files and forms. Neither gives the client a place to work on their goals between sessions.
That difference matters more than it sounds. A booking page answers "when do we meet?" A portal answers "what did we agree, and what do I owe?" But most coaching results happen between calls: the habit a client tries for a week, the reflection they write on Thursday, the check-in that tells you they are struggling before the next session. If your tool has no place for that, it ends up in email threads, a notes app or a messaging app you never meant to use for work.
Paperbell's portal, as documented, covers the admin side well; our guide to the Paperbell client portal walks through what clients see. Earlier profiles found no native mobile app, so clients open it in a mobile browser. TimeTuna has no client portal at all.
In Coachful, the client gets a branded home and app (your branding inside the Coachful app) with their next session, their program and its current week, goals with progress bars, daily tasks, habits and streaks, morning and evening check-ins, documents, courses and the community.

What about websites, email and group coaching?
Paperbell includes a simple coaching website, email workflows and group coaching; TimeTuna includes none of these, though its booking pages embed on a site you already have. If you need a site and have none, TimeTuna leaves that job to another tool.
Paperbell includes a coaching website on its single plan; Paperbell Website: What You Get and When to Go Further covers its scope. Its group coaching feature is also included, and Paperbell group coaching explains where it stops.
Coachful's website builder is section based, with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings, 30 designed homepage templates and an Import website option, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixel and UTM tracking, and a link-in-bio page that sells. Email covers lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. For groups, there is a community feed, group chat, direct messages, video events, and cohort groups created automatically when someone enrolls in a program.

How do integrations, teams and data export compare?
TimeTuna leads on team scheduling at a low price, and it documents its data export clearly. Paperbell is priced per coach and, per earlier profiles, keeps client history in the Clients area without a documented CSV export.
| Tool | Calendars and video | Automation | Teams | Data export |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Google, Apple/iCloud, Outlook; built-in video, Zoom, Meet, Teams | Zapier, Meta Pixel, GA4; built-in email sequences | Studio and Agency plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions | Full client data export as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses); course export |
| Paperbell | Calendar sync and video call integration | Email workflows included | Priced per coach | Client list and history in the Clients area; CSV export not verified (older profile) |
| TimeTuna | Google, Microsoft, iCal; Zoom, Meet, Teams | Webhooks and Zapier on Executive | Multi-host and round-robin on Pro; sharing up to 6 people on Executive | Self-serve JSON export (profile, booking pages, bookings) via a link that expires after 10 minutes |
One more data point: TimeTuna says its core data is hosted in London. None of the three is a clinical system. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so if you are a licensed practitioner keeping clinical records, those belong in a clinical system.
If you are thinking about leaving Paperbell, our guide on how to migrate from Paperbell covers what data you can take and how long a move usually takes.
Which should you pick for which kind of coach?
The right answer depends on what you sell. Use this as a starting point, then check each vendor's current page before you pay.
| Your practice | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful: programs with habits, check-ins, courses or a community | Coachful | One login covers booking, payments, contracts and between-session delivery; free white-glove build to set it up |
| Brand-new coach, discovery calls only | TimeTuna Free | Unlimited booking pages and calendar sync at no cost |
| Paid single sessions, already have a website | TimeTuna Executive | Stripe payments and SMS reminders for little money |
| Solo coach selling session packages with contracts | Paperbell | Packages, contracts, payments and a portal on one plan |
| Small team sharing a booking flow | TimeTuna Executive | Round-robin and sharing for up to 6 people |
| Agency running booking for several client brands | TimeTuna White label | Up to 10 client companies under your brand |
| Clients who pay by PayPal | Paperbell | Supports PayPal (older profile); TimeTuna lists Stripe only |
For a wider field, our top Paperbell alternatives ranks five tools, and the niche guides go further: life coaches, business coaches and health coaches.
Is there a third option: when does Coachful beat both, and when does it not?
Coachful beats both when your coaching happens between sessions as much as in them, and when you want one tool instead of four to six. It does not beat TimeTuna on price for a booking page alone, and it does not suit coaches who need PayPal or clinical records.

What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login; the client has one branded app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing several tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds 4.5 on Trustpilot from 21 reviews.
What it does that neither TimeTuna nor Paperbell does:
- Program delivery. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks.
- A live client record. Goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions in one place, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you see who needs attention before the next call.
- Courses and content. Modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, plus downloads, videos, books, AI tools, events and bundles, delivered into the client's branded home.
- Michelle, the built-in AI assistant. It works from your live practice data: builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before sessions. Questions and planning are included in your membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.
- ICF credential tracking. Counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log. See ICF hour tracking.

Here is a short walkthrough of how scheduling works inside Coachful:
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build things for you from Create > We'll build it for you: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, form, link in bio and more. You describe what you want and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files (logos, photos, brand guides, copy), and the team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices; gaps are left for you to fill. In one recent build, a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. In another, a leadership coach with a website renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the free white-glove service.

When Coachful is not the right pick:
- You only need a booking page. TimeTuna's free plan does that at no cost, while Coachful is a paid subscription once the trial ends.
- Your clients pay by PayPal. Coachful supports Stripe and Razorpay, not PayPal.
- You keep clinical records or bill insurance. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA.
- You want your own App Store listing. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own developer account.
- You need routing forms or a large sales pipeline. Coachful has no routing forms that pick a host from form answers, no multi-stage deal board for large teams, and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration.
How to start. Pick a plan (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients), start a free trial, and request the free white-glove build for your website, program or funnel. During onboarding, your clients, programs and content are imported for you. If you are comparing directly, Coachful vs Paperbell lays out the two side by side, and our Paperbell alternative page covers switching.
How do you decide in 15 minutes?
Write down what your client actually buys, then check which tool covers each step without a workaround. This short exercise usually settles the choice.
- List your offer. Single calls, a package of sessions, a multi-week program, a group cohort or a course.
- List the client's steps. For example: finds you, books a call, signs an agreement, pays, attends sessions, does work between sessions, renews.
- Mark each step against each tool. TimeTuna covers finding a time and paying (on Executive). Paperbell adds signing, packages and a portal. Coachful adds the between-session work, courses and community.
- Price the gaps. For every step a tool does not cover, write down the extra tool you would need and its price. That total, not the headline price, is your real cost.
- Test the client side. Book yourself through each trial on your phone. What a client sees in the first five minutes says a lot.
If the answer is "booking only", TimeTuna is hard to beat on price. If it is "packages and paperwork", Paperbell is the simpler choice of the two. If your list includes anything after "attends sessions", look at a platform built for delivery. Our article on managing coaching clients without Paperbell shows what those connected workflows look like.
Frequently asked questions
Is TimeTuna a real Paperbell alternative?
Only for the booking part. TimeTuna replaces Paperbell's scheduling at a fraction of the price, but its own Paperbell comparison page lists packages, programs and contracts as "Coming soon", and it has no client portal. If you rely on those Paperbell features, you would need other tools alongside TimeTuna.
How much does TimeTuna cost compared with Paperbell?
As listed in October 2026, TimeTuna Pro is $11.50 a month or $70 a year, and Executive is $23 a month or $140 a year (€10 and €20 a month for EU visitors), with a free plan below that. Paperbell is $97 a month or $970 a year for its single plan. Confirm TimeTuna's price at checkout, since it shows different currencies by location.
Can I take payments with TimeTuna?
Yes, on the Executive plan, through Stripe. A booking slot is confirmed only once payment clears. TimeTuna states no fee of its own on paid bookings, but Stripe's processing fees apply.
Does Paperbell have a free trial?
Paperbell's pricing page shows a "Try For Free" button. Its help center (July 2026) describes a 7-day trial with the public site offline and client messages and SMS turned off. It also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Are there reviews of TimeTuna?
We found almost none. TimeTuna has no Trustpilot profile that we could find, so there is no public reviewer sentiment to report. Third-party directories say it was renamed from Bookva.ai, which may help if you search for older feedback.
Which is better for group coaching?
Paperbell, of the two, because it includes group coaching and online classes; TimeTuna is booking only. Neither offers a community space or habit tracking, per the vendors' documentation and earlier profiles. Coachful includes a community feed, group chat, video events and cohort groups created on program enrollment.
Do TimeTuna or Paperbell have a mobile app for clients?
TimeTuna's site mentions no client app or portal. Paperbell's portal works in a mobile browser, with no native app per earlier profiles. Coachful gives clients a branded app, with the coach's branding inside the Coachful app.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
On every plan, the Coachful team will build a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence or similar inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. You describe what you want and attach links and files; nothing is invented, and gaps are left for you. It does not cover video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.
Can I move my clients from Paperbell to another tool?
Yes, though Paperbell does not document a CSV export, per an earlier profile, so plan time to collect client lists and history. In Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Our guide to switching from Paperbell covers the steps.
