Acuity Scheduling Pricing 2026: Plans, Fees, What Coaches Pay

Acuity Scheduling Pricing 2026: Plans, Fees, What Coaches Pay

Acuity Scheduling pricing in October 2026 starts at $20 a month for Starter (one calendar), then $34 a month for Standard (up to 6 calendars) and $69 a month for Premium (up to 36 calendars), with an Enterprise tier priced through sales. Paying annually cuts those to $16, $27 and $55 a month, a saving of about 20%. There is no free plan, only a 7-day free trial with no credit card required, and every price excludes tax.

For most coaches the plan fee is the smaller part of the bill. Acuity is a booking tool: it takes appointments, collects payments and sends reminders, but it does not deliver programs, host courses, run a community or build your website, so coaches usually pay for several other tools beside it. Below you will find every plan, every fee on top, what three example coaching practices actually pay, the gotchas, and how Acuity compares with Calendly, Setmore, TidyCal and Coachful. We make Coachful, and we say plainly where Acuity is the better pick.

How much does Acuity Scheduling cost in 2026?

Acuity Scheduling costs between $16 and $69 a month for its three self-serve plans, depending on the tier and on whether you pay monthly or annually. Enterprise has no public price. The table lists every plan as shown on Acuity's pricing page in October 2026.

Starter$20$16$1921 calendarUnlimited services and appointments, payments through Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo, email reminders, custom intake forms, time zone conversion

EnterpriseContact salesContact salesNot publishedUnlimited calendarsVIP account management, more APIs, a central dashboard

Three details shape the decision more than the headline numbers. First, Acuity limits calendars, not clients or appointments, so a coach with 5 clients and a coach with 80 can sit on the same plan. Second, the annual discount is roughly the same 20% on every tier, so choosing between monthly and annual billing is really a question of how sure you are. Third, the top plan has moved: our earlier profile of the pricing page listed Premium at $61 a month ($49 billed annually), and as listed in October 2026 it is $69 ($55 billed annually), with an AI Booking Assistant now included. Standard has also gained a waitlist, and the Enterprise tier is new to the page.

What does each Acuity Scheduling plan add?

Each plan adds features on top of the one below it, and the feature gates matter more than the price gaps: text reminders, packages and memberships need Standard, and a HIPAA business associate agreement needs Premium.

Starter: $20 a month, or $16 billed annually

Starter gives you one calendar with unlimited services and appointments. Clients can pay at booking through Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo, they receive email reminders, and you can attach custom intake forms so you arrive at the first call knowing why the client booked. Time zone conversion shows each client your availability in their own local time, which matters if you coach internationally.

What Starter leaves out matters just as much. Reminders are email only, so a client who misses the email gets no text nudge. You cannot sell session packages, memberships or gift certificates through Acuity on this plan, and packages are how many coaches price their work. If you sell a 6-session block or a monthly retainer, budget for Standard from day one.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

Standard: $34 a month, or $27 billed annually

Standard raises the limit to six calendars and adds text reminders, a waitlist, packages, memberships and gift certificates. For coaches, packages and memberships are the main reason to upgrade: a client buys a block of sessions or a recurring plan once, then books against it instead of paying each time. Text reminders help with no-shows, and the waitlist helps when your popular times are full. If you are still deciding how to structure what you sell, our guide to retainer vs package pricing walks through four designs.

Premium: $69 a month, or $55 billed annually

Premium allows up to 36 calendars and adds Acuity's AI Booking Assistant, a HIPAA business associate agreement (BAA), the option to hide the Acuity footer on your booking pages, multiple time zones, and custom API and CSS access. Most solo coaches will never need it. The two common reasons to pay for it are the BAA, if you work in a setting where HIPAA applies, and a footer-free booking page that carries only your own name. Custom CSS and the API mostly matter if you have a developer.

Enterprise: contact sales

Enterprise has unlimited calendars, VIP account management, more APIs and a central dashboard. Acuity does not publish a price for it. It is built for organizations with many locations or a large staff; an individual coaching practice or a small team will fit inside Standard or Premium.

What fees does Acuity charge on top of the plan?

Acuity's pricing page does not mention a transaction fee of its own in October 2026, so the fees on client payments come from your payment processor. No paid add-ons are listed either. Here is everything that can sit on top of the subscription.

Fee typeWhat Acuity lists (October 2026)What it means for a coach
Platform transaction feeNone mentionedAcuity does not list a cut of your session payments
Payment processingYour own Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo accountThat processor's standard rates apply to every payment; check its current pricing page
Add-onsNone listedFeatures are tied to plans, so the only way to get more is to move up a tier
OveragesNo per-appointment limits; calendars are the capA seventh calendar on Standard means moving to Premium
Seats1, 6, 36 or unlimited calendars by planA second coach with their own schedule usually means leaving Starter
TaxPrices exclude taxSales tax or VAT may be added at checkout, depending on where you are

Processing fees deserve attention because they grow with revenue, not with your plan. A coach collecting $4,000 a month in session fees pays the processor's percentage on all of it, whichever Acuity tier they choose, and that charge can easily exceed the subscription itself. Acuity's support for PayPal and Venmo is a real advantage if your clients prefer to pay that way. Not every coaching platform offers it: Coachful, for example, works with Stripe and Razorpay but not PayPal.

Tax is the other line item. Acuity's listed prices exclude tax, so your statement may show more than $20, $34 or $69 depending on where your business is registered. Whether you can reclaim that tax, and how software subscriptions are treated as a business expense, varies by country and business structure, so check with an accountant.

What does a coach actually pay for Acuity Scheduling?

A coach typically pays $192 to $828 a year for Acuity itself, then pays separately for the website, email marketing, contracts and client space that Acuity does not include. The table compares three example practices. Acuity prices are as listed in October 2026; the practice profiles are illustrative examples, not customer data.

OptionExample A: new solo coach, about 5 clients, 1:1 sessionsExample B: established solo coach, about 25 clients, packages and text remindersExample C: team of 3 coachesTools still needed beside it

Acuity, billed annuallyStarter: $16 a month ($192 a year)Standard: $27 a month ($324 a year)Standard: $27 a month ($324 a year), or Premium at $55 a month ($660 a year)The same tools as above

Example A: the new solo coach. Starter covers booking for a handful of 1:1 clients. Beside it, this coach still needs somewhere for prospects to land (a website), a coaching agreement signed before the first call, and a place to share notes, worksheets or homework between sessions. Each of those becomes either another subscription or a manual workaround, such as emailing PDFs and chasing signatures.

Example B: the established solo coach. Standard is the realistic plan here, because packages and text reminders carry most of Acuity's value for a busy calendar. At this size the gaps around Acuity become the larger cost: an email tool for the list, a course or membership area, and a space where clients follow a program, track habits and check in between calls.

Example C: the small team. Three coaches fit inside Standard's six calendars at a single flat price, which is one of Acuity's genuine strengths. A team that handles health information and needs a BAA moves to Premium, roughly doubling the scheduling bill. Neither plan adds shared client notes, program delivery or team messaging.

The last column is the one that changes the decision. Acuity's price looks low because it does one job. If you already pay for a website builder, an email tool and a course platform, the fair comparison is the total of all of them against one platform that covers the whole client journey. Our breakdowns of Kajabi pricing and HoneyBook pricing show what two common companion tools cost.

What hidden costs and gotchas should coaches watch for?

Acuity's hidden costs are feature gates rather than surprise charges: text reminders, packages and memberships sit behind Standard, while the BAA and a footer-free booking page sit behind Premium. The full list:

  • Text reminders need Standard. Starter sends email reminders only. If no-shows are common, one missed paid session a month can cost more than the $14 monthly difference between Starter and Standard.
  • Packages and memberships need Standard. On Starter you would sell session blocks somewhere else and track remaining sessions by hand.
  • Acuity's branding stays until Premium. Hiding the Acuity footer on booking pages is a Premium feature.
  • The HIPAA BAA is Premium only. If you need one, the realistic price is $69 a month, not $20.
  • Calendars, not clients, set your tier. Adding an associate coach can push you from Starter to Standard, and a seventh calendar pushes you to Premium, even when your client numbers are flat.
  • Tax is extra. Listed prices exclude tax.
  • Processor fees scale with revenue. Your Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo rates apply to every payment, on every plan.
  • Annual billing commits you for a year. The 20% discount is real, but test the setup on the trial and, if in doubt, a month of monthly billing first.
  • Prices change. Premium rose from $61 to $69 a month between our earlier profile and October 2026.
  • The real cost is the stack. Acuity has no client portal for programs, habits, check-ins or messaging, and no courses, community, website builder or email marketing, so those are separate bills.

A note on HIPAA. HIPAA is the US law that sets rules for how covered healthcare entities and their business associates handle protected health information. Many life, career and business coaches are not covered entities, but a health coach working inside a clinic, or under contract to one, may be asked to use tools that sign a BAA. Whether it applies to you depends on your arrangements, so check with an attorney rather than paying for Premium by default.

Public reviewers are mixed. Acuity holds a 3.6 rating from 687 reviews on Trustpilot as seen in October 2026, down from 3.7 across 623 reviews in our earlier profile. A rating alone does not tell you whether a tool fits a coaching practice, but read recent reviews about support and billing before you commit to a year.

Is Acuity Scheduling worth it for coaches?

Acuity is worth it for coaches who mainly sell sessions and want a capable booking page at a modest price. It is weaker value for coaches who deliver programs, because you pay for scheduling and then pay again for everything that happens between sessions.

Session-only coaches: executive, career and business coaches

If your work is mostly a calendar of 1:1 calls and clients rarely need anything from you between them, Acuity does that job well. Starter covers a single coach with one session type or many; Standard makes sense once you sell packages or want text reminders. The weak spot is everything around the booking: signed agreements, session notes, and any work the client does between calls. See our comparisons of scheduling software for executive coaches and scheduling software for career coaches.

Health and wellness coaches

Health coaches are the group most likely to need Premium, because it is the only plan with a HIPAA BAA. If you work under a clinic or practitioner who requires one, Acuity Premium is a credible option at $69 a month. To be clear about our own product: Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, does not sign a BAA, and is not built for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.

If you do not need a BAA, the question becomes what happens between sessions. Most health coaching is habit change over weeks, which Acuity cannot support on its own: there is no client portal for programs, habits or check-ins. Whatever tool you choose, keep the scope line clear. Coaching is not medical treatment or therapy; if a client describes new or worsening symptoms, asks for a diagnosis or medication advice, or shows signs of disordered eating or a mental health crisis, refer them to a licensed clinician. More in our guide to scheduling software for health coaches and on the health coaches page.

Coaches who run programs, habits and check-ins

This is where Acuity falls shortest. It books the call, but the work your client does between calls happens somewhere else, or nowhere. Coachful delivers multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goal progress bars and streaks inside a client app carrying your branding. Each client record shows goals, check-ins, habits, notes and intake answers, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk so you can see who needs attention.

If you price a program rather than single sessions, compare totals: Acuity Standard plus the tools that deliver the program, against one Coachful plan for 15 clients (Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients).

Fitness coaches and personal trainers

Acuity can book training sessions, but it has no workout builder, logging or nutrition tools, so a fitness coach pairs it with a training app. Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack adds a workout builder with an illustrated exercise library (supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals, tempo), client logging with set history and PRs, nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, private progress photos, weekly check-ins, and private form-check video with timestamped coach comments. It does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura and has no stock exercise videos; you attach your own demos. See scheduling software for personal trainers and the Fitness & Nutrition pack.

Small coaching teams

Acuity charges by calendar rather than per seat, so a team of up to six on Standard pays one flat fee, which compares well with per-seat tools. What it does not give a team is a shared view of each client's progress between sessions. Coachful's team plans (Studio and Agency) add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions, and multi-coach session types can assign bookings by round-robin or to the least-busy coach. How does Acuity Scheduling pricing compare with alternatives?

On price, Acuity sits in the middle: for a single coach on annual billing it costs more than Setmore, TidyCal and Calendly, it costs less than Calendly once three or more coaches share it, and it covers far less than Coachful, which replaces the booking tool and the tools around it. We rank on total stack cost, one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, and setup effort.

Coachful: booking plus the whole client journey

Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and the client gets one app with the coach's branding. It is built for coaches who deliver programs rather than only sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools.

On scheduling alone, Coachful covers what most coaches use Acuity for: booking pages with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way sync with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendars; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links; intake questions on booking; paid sessions and session credits; and email reminders, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp 1 hour before once messaging is enabled. Read how real-time availability works, or see the scheduling software page.

This walkthrough covers scheduling in Coachful:

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus an invoice for every transaction. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record; see coaching contracts and coaching payment software.

Pricing is a set of flat monthly plans: lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, team plans add seats, and monthly plans cancel in one click. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.

What Coachful does not do. It is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. It does not take PayPal; payments run only through Stripe or Razorpay. There is no permanent free plan. The client app runs under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. It has no routing forms that pick a host from form answers, and no Salesforce or HubSpot integration.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build something for you from Create > We'll build it for you. Describe a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence or form, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, and the team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. One recent example: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. The service does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read how the white-glove service works.

Pick Acuity over Coachful if you only need a booking page, your clients pay by PayPal or Venmo, or you need a HIPAA BAA.

Calendly

Calendly homepage introducing its scheduling tool for booking meetings
Calendly's homepage in October 2026.

Calendly has a no-cost plan with one event type and one calendar connection, then charges per seat: Standard is $10 per seat a month billed annually, Teams $16 and Teams Plus $24, as listed in October 2026. Enterprise starts at $15,000 a year with a 50-seat minimum. Calendly documents no fee of its own on payments; you connect your own Stripe or PayPal account. For a solo coach, Calendly Standard is cheaper than Acuity Starter on annual billing. For a team of three, Acuity Standard at $27 a month billed annually undercuts three Calendly Standard seats at $30 a month. Calendly has no client records, no intake questionnaires beyond booking questions, and no contracts or invoicing. On Trustpilot it shows 4.1 from 714 reviews. Full detail in our Calendly pricing breakdown and the Calendly vs Acuity comparison.

Pick it over Coachful if you only need booking links and want to start on a no-cost plan with a single event type.

Setmore

Setmore homepage introducing its appointment scheduling app
Setmore's homepage in October 2026.

Setmore's no-cost plan covers up to 4 users with unlimited appointments and one email reminder, but no SMS reminders and no two-way calendar sync. Pro is $12 per user a month, or $5 per user a month billed annually, and includes 500 SMS credits per user per month. Setmore offers Pro "risk-free for 30 days" with a refund on request. Among the booking-only tools here, it has the lowest paid price for a solo coach on annual billing. Like Acuity, it has no client programs, habits, check-ins, courses or community, and its pricing page shows no contracts or invoicing workflow. Trustpilot shows 4.9 from 3,274 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if you want the lowest-cost booking app with text reminders and nothing more.

TidyCal

TidyCal homepage introducing its low-cost booking page tool
TidyCal's homepage in October 2026.

TidyCal, sold through AppSumo, has a no-cost plan with unlimited booking types and bookings, one readable and one writable calendar, and basic Google, Office 365 and Apple integrations. Pro is $12 a month or $8.25 billed annually and adds unlimited calendar connections and unlimited SMS reminders. Individual and Agency lifetime plans are also listed. The catch is a 1% TidyCal platform fee on Stripe payments on the Free and Lifetime plans (0% on Pro), on top of Stripe's own fees. It handles paid bookings and packages, but has no client records, programs, courses, community, website builder or email marketing. Trustpilot shows 3.1 from 182 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if you want a one-off lifetime purchase for a basic booking page and can accept the 1% payment fee.

How can you save money on Acuity Scheduling?

The quickest saving is annual billing, which cuts every plan by about 20%. The bigger saving is choosing the lowest plan that covers what you actually use, and cutting the tools you pay for beside it.

  1. Use the trial to test the real setup. The 7-day trial needs no card. Build your actual session types, intake form and payment connection, then book yourself as a client from your phone.
  2. Buy the plan for the features you use today. Starter is enough for single 1:1 sessions with email reminders. Move to Standard when you start selling packages or memberships, or when no-shows justify text reminders.
  3. Go annual once you are sure. Annual billing saves $48 a year on Starter, $84 on Standard and $168 on Premium.
  4. Count calendars before upgrading. Starter already allows unlimited services on its one calendar, so a new session type does not need a new plan. Only a second coach or a genuinely separate schedule does.
  5. Skip Premium unless you need its two big features. The BAA and a footer-free booking page are the main reasons coaches pay for it.
  6. Cut no-shows with policy, not only reminders. Taking payment at booking and stating a clear cancellation window tends to reduce missed sessions on any plan. Our guide to automating scheduling and reminders has a practical rollout.
  7. Audit the tools beside it. Add up your website builder, email tool, e-signature, course platform and community. If the total is more than one platform that covers all of it, consolidating saves more than any Acuity discount.

How do you switch from Acuity without losing bookings?

Switch with an overlap: export your data, rebuild your session types in the new tool, send new bookings there, and keep Acuity running until every existing appointment has passed. The steps:

  1. Export your data. Clients and appointments export to CSV from the Acuity admin, according to our earlier profile. Save any intake answers you rely on.
  2. Rebuild session types. Match lengths, buffers, minimum notice and prices so returning clients see what they expect.
  3. Connect your calendar. With two-way Google, Apple/iCloud or Outlook sync, appointments still booked through Acuity block time in the new tool, as long as Acuity writes them to the same calendar, so nothing double-books during the overlap.
  4. Connect payments and agreements. Link your Stripe account and set up the coaching agreement clients sign before the first call.
  5. Swap every booking link. Update your website, email signature, link-in-bio page, social profiles and any automated emails.
  6. Cancel at the right time. Once the last Acuity appointment has passed, cancel. On annual billing, check your renewal date first so you do not roll into another year.

On Coachful, your clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove team can build the booking funnel or website your new link points to. Our step-by-step guide to managing client scheduling without Acuity covers the details, and the Acuity alternative page sums up the differences. Frequently asked questions about Acuity Scheduling pricing

How much does Acuity Scheduling cost per month?

As listed in October 2026, Acuity Starter costs $20 a month, Standard $34 and Premium $69 on monthly billing. On annual billing they drop to $16, $27 and $55 a month. Enterprise is priced through sales, and all prices exclude tax.

Does Acuity Scheduling have a free plan?

No. Acuity has no free plan, only a 7-day free trial on every plan with no credit card required, and you are not charged until you choose a plan. If you need a booking tool that costs nothing, Calendly, Setmore and TidyCal all have no-cost plans with tighter limits.

Does Acuity charge transaction fees on client payments?

Acuity's pricing page does not mention a fee of its own on payments. You connect your own Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo account, and that processor's rates apply to each payment. Check the processor's current pricing before you set your session prices.

Which Acuity plan includes text reminders?

Text reminders start on Standard, at $34 a month or $27 billed annually. Starter sends email reminders only. Standard also adds packages, memberships, gift certificates and a waitlist.

Which Acuity plan includes a HIPAA BAA?

Only Premium, at $69 a month or $55 billed annually, includes a HIPAA business associate agreement. Starter and Standard do not. If you are unsure whether HIPAA applies to your coaching practice, ask an attorney before choosing a plan.

Is Acuity cheaper than Calendly?

For one coach, no: Calendly Standard is $10 per seat a month billed annually against $16 for Acuity Starter, and Calendly also has a no-cost plan. For a team, Acuity Standard covers up to six calendars for $27 a month billed annually, while Calendly charges for every seat. The feature sets differ too, so compare on what you will actually use.

Is Acuity Scheduling worth it for life coaches?

It is worth it if your practice is mostly 1:1 sessions and you already have a website, an email tool and a way to share work between calls. If you run programs or want clients to track habits and check in, you will pay for Acuity and then for the tools that do that. Our roundup of scheduling software for life coaches compares seven options.

Can I export my data if I leave Acuity?

Yes. According to our earlier profile, clients and appointments export to CSV from the Acuity admin. Export before your final billing period ends, and keep a copy of any intake answers you may need later.

Can Coachful replace Acuity Scheduling?

For most coaches, yes. Coachful includes booking pages with availability rules, buffers, two-way calendar sync, video links, intake questions, paid sessions and reminders, plus payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, website and email. It is not a fit if you need a HIPAA BAA, PayPal payments, or routing forms that pick a host from form answers. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

On every Coachful plan, you can ask the team to build something for you, such as a website, booking funnel, sales page, program or email sequence. You describe it, attach up to 8 reference links and 10 files, and the team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented, and it does not include video recording, logo design or ad management. See how the white-glove service works.
