AttractWell vs Paperbell: Which Fits Your Coaching in 2026?

AttractWell vs Paperbell: Which Fits Your Coaching in 2026?

In the AttractWell vs Paperbell decision, the short answer is this: AttractWell suits a coach who wants marketing, courses, a community and a mobile app under one roof and is happy to pay by the number of contacts, while Paperbell suits a solo coach who mainly sells sessions and packages and wants one flat price with no limits to manage. AttractWell starts at $69 a month for 500 contacts and climbs to $239 at 27,000 contacts; Paperbell is one plan at $97 a month or $970 a year, as listed in October 2026.

Both tools come up when coaches ask AI search assistants for a Paperbell alternative, so this guide puts them side by side on price, booking, payments, courses, community, websites and what your clients actually see. We make Coachful, a third platform in this category, so we include it as the option we recommend and say plainly where each of the other two is the better fit. Every vendor fact below comes from the vendors' own pricing and feature pages, checked in October 2026, and from their public review profiles.

What is the short answer by use case?

Pick by the shape of your business, not by the feature list. Here is how the choice breaks down for the most common coaching setups.

  • You sell 1:1 sessions and packages, and nothing else yet: Paperbell is simpler. One price, unlimited clients, booking, packages, contracts and a basic site.
  • You run a list, a course and a membership: AttractWell covers more of that on paper, with funnels, email and texting, courses it calls "vaults", a community and memberships.
  • You want clients in an app between sessions: AttractWell has an iOS and Android app; Paperbell, per our September 2026 profile, works in the mobile browser only.
  • You deliver multi-week programs with habits, check-ins and goals: neither is built around that. This is where Coachful fits better.
  • Your contact list is large but your client list is small: Paperbell's flat price wins on cost, because AttractWell prices by contacts.

If you are leaving Paperbell because it stops at admin, our Paperbell review covers what it does well and where coaches outgrow it.

How do AttractWell, Paperbell and Coachful compare side by side?

We rank on four things: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort (including whether someone will build it for you). On those, Coachful leads, AttractWell is second for its breadth, and Paperbell is third because it stops at admin.

PaperbellSolo coaches selling sessions and packages$97/mo or $970/yrOne plan, unlimited clientsMobile browser only (September 2026 profile)No goal or habit tracking (September 2026 profile)Not offered

The table hides one important difference. Paperbell is an admin tool with a website attached; AttractWell is a marketing and content suite with booking attached. They solve different problems, which is why the "right" answer depends so heavily on what you sell. For a wider field, see our ranked Paperbell alternatives or the Coachful vs Paperbell comparison.

How does AttractWell pricing compare with Paperbell pricing?

Paperbell charges one price for everything and does not cap clients, while AttractWell charges by capacity, mainly the number of contacts in your database. All figures below are in US dollars as listed in October 2026.

AttractWell's add-ons matter more than its headline prices. Unlimited vaults and classes cost an extra $17 a month on any plan, extra back-office accounts are $9 a month each on Starter and $15 each on Basic, and its concierge services (migration, design, funnel setup, training) are quoted separately. AttractWell advertises one month free and a free domain on annual plans, but its pricing page does not show an annual price. It lists a 0% transaction fee on all plans; Stripe or Square still charge their standard processing fees.

Paperbell's page says there are no upsells or hidden add-ons and no additional transaction fees, with Stripe and PayPal charging their usual rates. The annual plan, $970, is shown against $1,164, which Paperbell labels as two months free. There is a "Try For Free" button; Paperbell's help center described a 7-day trial in July 2026, during which the public site is offline and client messages and SMS are off. Our Paperbell pricing breakdown goes further into the single plan.

What does each cost for a realistic coach?

Take an illustrative coach with 25 active clients, a newsletter list of 1,200 people, and two short courses. On AttractWell, 1,200 contacts already exceeds Basic's 1,000, so they would need Premium at $129 a month. On Paperbell they would pay $97 a month, but would still need a separate email marketing tool for the newsletter and a separate course platform if Paperbell's online classes do not cover what they teach. Those outside tools are where Paperbell's flat price stops being the whole bill. This is an example, not a quote: your own numbers decide it.

The opposite case also exists. A coach with 600 contacts who sells only session packages would need AttractWell Basic at $99 (Starter has no call packages) and would get a lot of marketing capacity they never use. For that coach, Paperbell's $97 covers everything they actually do.

How do booking and scheduling compare?

Both tools let clients book sessions and buy packages, but AttractWell rations booking links and call packages by plan while Paperbell does not cap them.

AttractWell's Starter plan includes two booking links and no call packages. Basic raises that to ten booking links and five call packages, and Premium makes both unlimited. Call packages track usage, so you can see how many sessions a client has left. Zoom meetings are included (up to 30 hours) with attendee caps by plan: 5 people on Starter, 10 on Basic, 100 on Premium, up to 300 on Diamond.

Paperbell includes scheduling, packages and a video call integration on its one plan, with unlimited sessions and packages. That is its core job, and for a coach whose business is mostly 1:1 work it is the less fiddly of the two.

For comparison, Coachful's booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Sessions can run on built-in video or on auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links, with email reminders plus SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) once messaging is enabled. Session credits, paid sessions, intake questions on booking, and round-robin or least-busy assignment for multi-coach session types are all part of the same calendar. Our scheduling software page shows how it works.

How do payments, invoices and contracts compare?

All three take payments through your own processor without adding a platform fee; the differences are which processors and how contracts are handled.

  • AttractWell requires Stripe or Square. Through Stripe it also supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Afterpay/Clearpay, Affirm, Bancontact and iDeal. Contracts, invoicing and a store are listed among its features, and memberships can bill on a recurring basis.
  • Paperbell works with Stripe and PayPal, per our September 2026 profile. Contracts are part of the single plan, as are payments and packages.
  • Coachful uses your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account for one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons and refunds, with Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax. It creates an invoice per transaction and lets you send manual invoices. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record. It does not support PayPal.

If PayPal matters to your clients, Paperbell is the only one of the three that supports it. If buy-now-pay-later options like Klarna or Affirm matter, AttractWell is the only one that lists them.

More on how Coachful handles signed agreements is on the coaching contracts page.

Which one is better for courses, memberships and community?

AttractWell is clearly ahead of Paperbell here, though its course count is capped on lower plans.

AttractWell offers courses (called vaults) and classes, memberships with recurring payments, drip content and quizzes graded by AI, plus a Facebook-style community with posts, comments and scheduled posts. The catch is quantity: Starter allows one vault and one class, Basic three of each, Premium ten. Unlimited vaults and classes cost an extra $17 a month on any plan.

Paperbell's pricing page now lists online classes and digital downloads among the included features. Our September 2026 profile found no full course builder (LMS), no community and no goal or habit tracking, so if you plan to sell a structured course or run a member community, test those features during the trial before committing. Our guide to group coaching on Paperbell shows where its group features stop.

Coachful includes courses with modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, as well as downloads, videos, books, AI tools, events and bundles, all delivered into the client's branded home and app. A community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events sit alongside, and cohort groups are created automatically when someone enrolls in a program. Templates help with the blank page: more than 40 ready-to-film program templates and 48 course templates with quizzes. See the course platform for coaches and the group coaching software pages for detail.

What about websites, funnels and email marketing?

AttractWell is the marketing tool of the pair; Paperbell gives you a coaching website and stops there.

AttractWell includes websites, funnels, a blog, a CRM, email and texting, with automations counted by plan (5 on Starter, 100 on Basic, 500 on Premium). Domains and pages are also capped: Starter allows 2 domains and 10 pages, Basic 5 domains and 250 pages, and Premium has unlimited pages. Texts are capped too, from 100 a month on Starter to 8,000 on Diamond. Each plan also includes custom GPTs, from 1 on Starter to 100 on Diamond.

Paperbell's plan includes a coaching website, forms and email workflows. Its pricing page does not list funnels or a newsletter tool, so coaches who build a list usually pair it with a separate email platform. Our Paperbell website guide covers what its site builder can and cannot do.

Coachful has a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings, 30 designed homepage templates and an Import website option. Booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels support pixels and UTM tracking, and there is a link-in-bio page that sells. Email covers lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. Coachful's SMS and WhatsApp messages are documented for session reminders, not for texting campaigns to a list the way AttractWell's are. More on the coach website builder page.

What do clients actually experience in each?

The client experience is where these tools differ most, and it is the part clients notice every week.

On AttractWell, clients can use the iOS and Android app, where they see your branding inside the AttractWell app. That is where courses, the community and memberships live. It suits a content-led business, where the client's main activity is consuming lessons and joining the conversation.

On Paperbell, clients use a client portal to book, pay, sign contracts and see their files. According to our September 2026 profile, there is no native mobile app, so clients use it in a mobile browser. It is tidy for transactions, but there is little for a client to do between sessions. Our Paperbell client portal guide walks through what they see.

On Coachful, the client gets your branding inside the Coachful app, with their program, weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Sessions, documents, courses and the community sit in the same place. On your side, each client record pulls together goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions, and labels the client as thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you can see who has drifted before the next call.

What do public reviews say about AttractWell and Paperbell?

Both have small review footprints, so treat ratings as a weak signal. On Trustpilot, AttractWell showed 4.6 from 21 reviews when we checked on 27 October 2026, and Paperbell showed 3.5 from 14 reviews on 25 October 2026 (down from 3.9 on 13 reviews earlier in the year). With so few reviews, a single new rating moves the average noticeably, so the trial matters more than the score. For context, Coachful has a Trustpilot rating of 4.5 from 21 reviews.

Which should you pick: AttractWell or Paperbell?

Pick AttractWell if your business is built on an audience and on content, and pick Paperbell if it is built on sessions. Here is the decision in more detail.

One caution on AttractWell: contact-based pricing rewards a small list and penalises a big free audience. If you plan to grow a newsletter to several thousand people, map out which tier you will be on in a year, not just today. One caution on Paperbell: the flat price is real, but if you will later need courses, community or a newsletter, add those tools to the cost now so you are comparing like with like.

Is there a third option that beats both?

Yes, for coaches who deliver programs rather than just sessions. Coachful combines Paperbell's admin core with the content and marketing that AttractWell offers, and adds the between-session delivery neither of them is built around.

What Coachful is and who it is for

Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; for solo coaches growing into a small team; and for coaches replacing four to six separate tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia.

What is included in your Coachful membership, beyond what is covered above:

  • Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data. It builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions, briefs you before sessions, and can give optional private feedback on your own coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8. Questions and planning are included; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.
  • AI Coach is an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with between sessions, configured by you.
  • ICF credential tracking counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours. See ICF hour tracking.
  • Team plans add coach seats (Studio and Agency) with per-coach availability and staff permissions.
  • Integrations with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar/iCloud, Outlook, Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Stripe, Razorpay, Zapier, Meta Pixel and GA4.
  • Your data stays yours: a full client data export as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions, form responses) plus course export. Coachful is GDPR-ready.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, a "We'll build it for you · FREE" option lets you describe what you want built: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, form, lead quiz, event page, automation and more. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. Recent builds include a five-page site in sage and cream for a menopause and midlife health coach, with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation, and a somatic coach leaving Kajabi who had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. It does not cover recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the free white-glove service.

When Coachful beats both

  • You run programs over weeks or months and want clients doing something between calls: habits, check-ins, weekly goals.
  • You want booking, payments, contracts, courses, community, website and email in one login instead of Paperbell plus three other tools.
  • You want flat pricing that does not rise as your email list grows, unlike AttractWell's contact tiers.
  • You want the setup done for you at no extra cost, rather than a paid concierge quote.
  • You are working toward an ICF credential and want hours logged automatically.

When Coachful is not the right pick

  • Your clients need to pay with PayPal: Coachful has no PayPal. Paperbell supports it.
  • You rely on SMS marketing campaigns to a large list: AttractWell includes texting by plan; Coachful uses SMS and WhatsApp for session reminders.
  • You want a native app under your own App Store account: Coachful's client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding.
  • You need HIPAA compliance, clinical records or insurance billing: Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA. Coaching is not medical treatment; health coaches should refer clients with medical concerns to a doctor and keep clinical records in a clinical system.
  • You want a multi-stage sales pipeline for a large sales team or a Salesforce or HubSpot integration, or wearable sync from Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura: Coachful does not offer these.
  • You want a permanent free plan: Coachful has a free trial, not a free tier.

How to start

Start the free trial, then use "We'll build it for you" to request your website, funnel or first program. During onboarding, your clients, programs and content are imported for you. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. If you are moving from Paperbell, our guides on how to migrate from Paperbell and switching without losing a client cover the timeline and data, and the coaching software overview shows the full product.

How hard is it to switch between these tools?

Switching is mostly about data and payments, and it is easier when you plan the cutover around billing dates. AttractWell's CRM pages mention CSV import of contacts, but export is not mentioned on the pages we checked. For Paperbell, the client list and history live in the Clients area; a documented CSV export was not verified in our September 2026 profile. Before committing to either, ask support exactly how you would take your client records with you.

Recurring payments are the sensitive part. Subscriptions tied to one Stripe setup may need clients to re-enter payment details on a new platform, so time the move to the end of a billing cycle and tell clients in advance. Coachful's full ZIP export and the import done for you during onboarding make a move in either direction simpler.

Frequently asked questions

Is AttractWell cheaper than Paperbell?

Only at small scale. AttractWell's Starter plan is $69 a month against Paperbell's $97, but Starter caps you at 500 contacts and includes no call packages. Most coaches selling packages would start on AttractWell Basic at $99 or higher, as listed in October 2026.

Does Paperbell have a mobile app?

According to our September 2026 profile, Paperbell has no native mobile app; clients and coaches use it in a mobile browser. AttractWell has an iOS and Android app where clients see your branding inside the AttractWell app.

Does AttractWell charge transaction fees?

AttractWell lists a 0% transaction fee on all plans. Your payment processor, Stripe or Square, still charges its standard fees. Paperbell also states no additional transaction fees beyond Stripe or PayPal rates.

Can I run courses on Paperbell?

Paperbell's pricing page now lists online classes and digital downloads. Our September 2026 profile found no full course builder or community, so test the course features during the trial if structured courses are central to your business.

Is there a free trial for AttractWell or Paperbell?

AttractWell does not offer a free trial as such; the first month on any plan costs $1 and you can cancel anytime. Paperbell has a "Try For Free" button; its help center described a 7-day trial in July 2026, and it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Which is better for group coaching?

AttractWell, because it adds a community, memberships and Zoom meetings with up to 100 attendees on Premium. Paperbell includes group coaching on its plan but no community. Coachful goes further with cohort groups created automatically on program enrollment, group calls and webinars.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a done-for-you build included on every Coachful plan. You describe what you need, attach up to 8 links and 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It covers websites, funnels, programs, course outlines, email sequences and more, but not video recording, logo design or ad management.

Does Coachful support PayPal like Paperbell?

No. Coachful takes payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. If PayPal is essential to your clients, Paperbell is the better fit on that point.

Can a team of coaches use AttractWell or Paperbell?

AttractWell offers extra back-office accounts on each plan and a Team plan from $600 a month starting at six accounts. Paperbell is priced per coach. Coachful's Studio and Agency plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions.

How do I choose between AttractWell and Paperbell quickly?

If you mostly sell 1:1 sessions and want one flat price, choose Paperbell. If you sell courses and memberships to a growing list, choose AttractWell. If you run programs and want clients engaged between sessions, look at Coachful.
