Kajabi vs Satori: Which Fits Your Coaching in 2026?

Kajabi vs Satori is really a choice between two different jobs. Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products to many people at once. Satori is a coaching practice tool for running 1:1 and small-group clients: scheduling, a client portal, packages, invoices and contracts. If your income comes mostly from courses and memberships, Kajabi fits better. If it comes mostly from booked coaching sessions and you want a low monthly bill, Satori fits better. If you deliver multi-week programs and want booking, payments, courses and between-session check-ins under one login, neither is a complete answer, and that is where a third option comes in.
This guide compares the two on price, fees, features and the client's experience, using what each vendor lists on its own pages as of October 2026 (and Satori's dollar figures as listed in September 2026, because its October page did not render prices). We make Coachful, the third option covered near the end, and we say plainly where it loses to either tool.
What is the short answer by use case?
Pick Kajabi if you sell courses, memberships or a paid community and need a website, funnels and email in the same place. Pick Satori if you sell 1:1 coaching packages, want contracts and invoices handled, and do not need a course portal or a sales site. Pick Coachful if you run programs that need both sides: sessions and payments plus courses, habits, check-ins and community.
- Course creator who also coaches a little: Kajabi. Its products, communities and funnels are the core of the product.
- New 1:1 coach with fewer than 10 paying clients: Satori Essentials, which caps active paying clients at 10.
- Coach in certification training: Satori's Scholar plan, offered at no cost to people studying for a coaching certification (you apply through a form).
- Coach running 8 to 12 week programs with daily habits or check-ins: neither Kajabi nor Satori lists habit tracking or daily check-ins. Coachful does.
- Coach replacing four to six tools: Coachful, which puts booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, website, funnels and email in one subscription.
If you only want one of the two vendors reviewed in depth, our Satori review and the Coachful vs Kajabi comparison go further on each.
How do Kajabi, Satori and Coachful compare side by side?
Ranked by one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort, Coachful comes first, Kajabi second and Satori third for a coach who delivers programs rather than single sessions.
| Platform | Built for | Starting price | Client or contact cap on entry plan | Habits and daily check-ins | Website and funnels | Courses and community |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who deliver programs, solo or small team | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Lower plans cap clients; Pro is unlimited | Yes: habits, morning and evening check-ins, streaks, goals | Yes: site builder, blog, booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels | Yes: courses with drip, community feed, group chat, cohorts |
| Kajabi | Selling courses, memberships and communities | $179/month (Basic), $143/month billed annually | 2,500 contacts, 5 products | Not listed | Yes: unlimited funnels and landing pages | Yes: 1 community on Basic and Growth |
| Satori | Running a 1:1 coaching practice | $33/month (Essentials); Scholar plan at $0 for certification students | 10 active paying clients | Not listed | No landing pages (September 2026 profile) | No courses or community (September 2026 profile) |
The table already shows the shape of the decision. Kajabi is strong at the marketing and content end and thin on per-client coaching. Satori is the reverse: it handles the coaching practice and leaves the sales site, list building and content delivery to other tools.
What does Kajabi do well for coaches?
Kajabi is best at packaging knowledge into products and selling them: courses, a paid community, a website, unlimited funnels and landing pages, and marketing email on every plan. Coaching sits inside that model as a product or community, not as a per-client plan.

For a coach whose business is moving toward a signature course or a membership, that is a real advantage. You can run a lead magnet funnel, an email sequence, a sales page and the course itself without stitching tools together. Higher plans add automation and an affiliate program (Growth) and multiple websites, communities and a branded App Store app (Pro, per Kajabi's comparison table in October 2026).
Where Kajabi is weaker for coaching:
- No habits or daily client check-ins. Kajabi does not list per-client plans with tasks, habits or check-ins. Accountability between sessions has to come from emails, community posts or another app.
- Contact and product caps on Basic. Basic stops at 2,500 contacts and 5 products. Extra contacts cost $125/month per 25,000, as listed in October 2026.
- No AI credits on Basic. Growth includes 500 and Pro 1,000; Basic includes none.
- Fees if you bring your own processor. Using a payment provider other than Kajabi Payments or PayPal adds a Kajabi fee of 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth or 0.5% on Pro, on top of the provider's own fees.
Public sentiment is mixed: Kajabi held a Trustpilot score of 3.4 from 2,347 reviews when we checked in October 2026. If you are weighing Kajabi against other content platforms, see Podia vs Kajabi and Kajabi vs GoHighLevel.
What does Satori do well for coaches?
Satori is a coaching practice tool. It covers scheduling, a client portal, packages and programs, invoices and contracts, and it bills only for active clients, which keeps the cost low while your roster is small.

For a 1:1 coach, the attraction is simplicity and price. A client books, signs, pays and sees their package in one portal. Satori takes no charge on client payments; standard PayPal and Stripe fees apply. It also exports a coaching log for ICF credentialing, which matters if you are working toward ACC or PCC.
Where Satori is weaker:
- No website, landing pages, courses or community, per its September 2026 profile. You need a separate site builder, an email tool and a course or community tool to sell and deliver anything beyond sessions.
- No native mobile app and no native Zoom integration, per the same profile. Clients use the portal in a browser.
- Active-client caps on every paid tier. Essentials covers up to 10 active paying clients (confirmed in October 2026). The September profile listed 50 active clients on Pro and 150 on Leader.
- General data export not verified. The ICF coaching log exports; a full client-data export was not confirmed in the vendor's documentation we reviewed.
Satori's Trustpilot page existed with 0 reviews in October 2026; the September 2026 profile recorded Capterra at 4.5 from 13 reviews. For more context, read Satori pricing in 2026 and Paperbell vs Satori.
How much do Kajabi and Satori cost?
Satori costs far less on paper: its paid plans ran from $33 to $124 a month as listed in September 2026, while Kajabi runs from $179 to $499 a month as listed in October 2026. The gap narrows once you add the tools Satori does not include.

| Plan | Monthly billing | Billed annually (per month) | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Flat monthly plans; monthly plans cancel in one click | Lower plans cap clients; Pro is unlimited; team plans add coach seats |
| Kajabi Basic | $179 | $143 | 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community, 1 website, 2 admin users, 0 AI credits |
| Kajabi Growth | $249 | $199 | 50 products, 25,000 contacts, 1 community, 11 admin users, 500 AI credits |
| Kajabi Pro | $499 | $399 | Unlimited products, 100,000 contacts, 3 communities, 3 websites, 26 admin users, 1,000 AI credits |
| Satori Scholar | $0 | $0 | Unlimited pro-bono clients; for certification students, by application |
| Satori Essentials | $33 | about $27.50 (derived) | Up to 10 active paying clients |
| Satori Pro | $49 | about $40.83 (derived) | 50 active clients, 10 programs, 120 bookings (September 2026 profile) |
| Satori Leader | $124 | about $103.33 (derived) | 150 active clients, 50 programs, unlimited bookings (September 2026 profile) |
Satori sells annual billing as "Get 2 Months Free", so the annual per-month figures above are worked out as ten months' price spread over twelve; Satori does not print them. Kajabi's annual figures come from its pricing page.

What do trials and refunds look like?
Kajabi offers a 14-day trial per its help center. A card is optional; if you enter one, Kajabi places an authorization hold and charges on the day the trial ends, and some features (bulk contact import, test emails, some automations) stay locked until you activate a paid plan. Every Kajabi plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Satori offers a 15-day trial with unrestricted access and no card during the trial; you add a card to continue. It refunds if you ask within 30 days of signing up.
Coachful offers a free trial, and the white-glove build service described below is included on every plan.
What do payment fees add?
| Platform | Platform fee on client payments | Processors | PayPal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | 0% platform fee (since August 2026); processor fees only | Your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account | No |
| Kajabi | None with Kajabi Payments or PayPal; 2% Basic, 1% Growth, 0.5% Pro with other providers | Kajabi Payments (US: 2.9% + $0.30 Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 Growth, 2.7% + $0.30 Pro), PayPal, others | Yes |
| Satori | No Satori charge | Stripe, PayPal (standard fees) | Yes |
An example to make the Kajabi surcharge concrete: a coach on Kajabi Basic who takes $3,000 a month through a non-Kajabi processor pays an extra $60 a month to Kajabi (2%), before the processor's own fees. On Growth the same volume adds $30, on Pro $15. If you need PayPal, both Kajabi and Satori support it; Coachful does not.
What does a full stack cost in a worked example?
Here is an illustrative coach: 15 active 1:1 clients, a simple website, an email list under 500 people and one small self-paced course. The figures below use list prices only, before processing fees.
- Kajabi route: Basic at $179/month ($143 billed annually) covers the site, email, course and community. Fifteen clients fit under the 2,500-contact cap. What is missing is per-client habits and check-ins, and you would still want a contract and e-signature tool, because Kajabi does not list coaching agreements among its plan features.
- Satori route: 15 active clients pass the Essentials cap of 10, so the coach needs Pro at $49/month (September 2026 listing). Add a website, for example Squarespace Core at $39/month ($29 billed annually), and an email tool, for example MailerLite Comfort at $12/month for 500 subscribers, both as listed in October 2026. That is about $100 a month on monthly billing before any course or community tool, spread across three logins.
- Coachful route: one subscription that covers 15 clients (Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients) with booking, contracts, payments, the course, the website, email and habits in one login.
Satori wins on raw cost for a pure 1:1 practice with a small roster and no sales site. Kajabi gets expensive fast if you only coach, because you are paying for content-business capacity you may not use.
How do the features compare, one by one?
Kajabi leads on marketing and content, Satori on the coaching back office, and neither covers between-session delivery. The table below lines up what each vendor lists.
| Feature | Coachful | Kajabi | Satori |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful summary | Booking, payments, contracts, programs, habits, check-ins, courses, community, website, funnels, email, AI assistant | Courses, community, website, funnels, email | Scheduling, client portal, packages, invoices, contracts |
| 1:1 booking with calendar sync | Yes: Google, Apple/iCloud, Outlook two-way sync, buffers, minimum notice | Not a listed plan feature | Yes |
| Video calls | Built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet, Teams links | Not listed | No native Zoom integration (September 2026 profile) |
| Contracts with e-signature | Yes, sent before the first call | Not listed | Yes |
| Invoices | Invoice per transaction plus manual invoices | Not listed as a feature | Yes |
| Habits, daily check-ins, streaks | Yes | No | No |
| Courses with drip | Yes | Yes | No (September 2026 profile) |
| Community | Feed, group chat, DMs, video events, auto cohorts | Yes, 1 to 3 communities by plan | No (September 2026 profile) |
| Website and funnels | Yes, 30 homepage templates, about 25 funnel templates | Yes, unlimited funnels | No landing pages (September 2026 profile) |
| Email sequences | Yes, with branching and A/B splits | Yes | Not listed |
| ICF hour tracking | Yes, ACC/PCC/MCC progress and log export | No | Coaching-log export |
| Mobile app for clients | Coach's branding inside the Coachful app | Branded app on Pro | No native app (September 2026 profile) |
| AI | Michelle assistant; AI credits for builds | 0 / 500 / 1,000 AI credits by plan | Not listed |
Booking and sessions
Satori is built around sessions, so booking, packages and reminders are its center of gravity. Kajabi's plan comparison is organized around products, contacts, communities and websites rather than a 1:1 booking engine, so check its current help center for how its coaching product handles scheduling before you commit. If booking is the deciding feature, our guide to scheduling software for coaches covers what to look for: availability rules, buffers, time-zone detection and calendar sync.

Courses and content
Kajabi wins this one clearly over Satori. It is designed for courses, and its products, drip content and community sit next to the funnels that sell them. Satori did not offer courses as of its September 2026 profile, so a Satori coach who wants a self-paced program needs a second platform and a second login for clients. For a broader view, see online course platforms for coaches.

Contracts, invoices and the back office
Satori wins over Kajabi here. Contracts and invoices are part of the product, and only active clients count toward billing. Kajabi does not list coaching agreements among its features, so plan on a separate e-signature tool if you need signed agreements before the first session. Our page on coaching contracts explains what an agreement should cover.
ICF credentialing
Satori exports a coaching log for ICF applications, which is a practical plus for coaches building hours. Kajabi has nothing comparable listed. Coachful counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours; see ICF hour tracking.

Leaving later: data export
Kajabi provides CSV exports for contacts, subscriptions, sales and members by email, while course content has to be downloaded manually per asset, and its older profile notes data is removed 90 days after cancellation. Satori's coaching-log export is confirmed; a general client-data export was not verified. If you are already planning a move, how to migrate from Satori walks through it step by step.
What is the client's experience on each?
On Kajabi, the client is a member: they log in to courses and a community, and on Pro they can use a branded app. On Satori, the client is a coaching client: they see their sessions, package, invoices and contracts in a web portal, with no native mobile app per the September 2026 profile.
What neither gives the client is a daily reason to open the app between sessions. Neither vendor lists habits, daily tasks, morning and evening check-ins or goals with progress bars. For a coach selling transformation over 8 or 12 weeks, that gap is where many results are won or lost, because the client's week happens between calls.
The other experience question is how many logins a client juggles. A Satori coach who adds a course tool and a community tool gives the client three places to go. A Kajabi coach who adds a scheduler and an e-signature tool gives them three as well, in a different mix. Every extra login is a place for a client to drift.

Which should you pick for which kind of coach?
Match the tool to where your revenue comes from and how you deliver. The table below sums it up.
| Coach | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful: program-based coach, solo or growing team | Coachful | Sessions, payments, contracts, courses, habits, check-ins and community in one login for coach and client |
| Course creator with a big audience | Kajabi | Products, communities and unlimited funnels; up to 100,000 contacts on Pro |
| Coach in certification training | Satori Scholar | $0 for pro-bono clients while studying, plus a coaching-log export |
| New 1:1 coach, under 10 clients, no site needed yet | Satori Essentials | Low cost, contracts and invoices included |
| Coach who must accept PayPal | Kajabi or Satori | Both support PayPal; Coachful does not |
| Coach running a membership plus occasional calls | Kajabi | Community and content are the product; calls are secondary |
Two edge cases worth naming. If you are a life coach comparing several practice tools, our ranking of Satori alternatives for life coaches covers more options. If you are leaving Kajabi because you mostly coach, the Kajabi alternative page lays out what moves over.
Is there a third option that beats both?
Yes, for coaches who deliver programs: Coachful combines Satori's practice side (booking, contracts, payments, client records) with Kajabi's content and marketing side (courses, community, website, funnels, email), and adds the between-session layer neither lists. It does not beat both for every coach, and the limits are below.

What Coachful is. A coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and the client has one branded app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs rather than single sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing four to six tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 21 reviews.
Where it beats Satori. Satori stops at the practice. Coachful adds courses with modules, drip and completion tracking; a community feed with group chat and cohort groups created automatically when someone enrolls in a program; a section-based website builder with blog, custom domain and 30 designed homepage templates; booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels; and email broadcasts and sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. Clients get a branded app instead of a browser-only portal.
Where it beats Kajabi. Kajabi stops at content. Coachful adds booking pages with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links; email reminders plus SMS and WhatsApp reminders once messaging is enabled; coaching agreements with e-signature sent before the first call; and a client record with goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with a 0% Coachful platform fee.

Where it beats both. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. This is the part of coaching that happens between calls, and it is included in your Coachful membership. Here is how a program comes together:

Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before each session. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. An optional AI Coach lets selected clients chat with an AI version of you between sessions, configured by you. There are also more than 40 ready-to-film program templates and 48 course templates with quizzes.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, the "We'll build it for you" option lets you describe what you want built (a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, form, link in bio and more) and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. One recent build: a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. Another: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. More examples are in our white-glove service write-up.

Clients, programs and content are also imported for you during onboarding, which matters when you are coming from two or three tools at once.

When Coachful does not beat them
- You need PayPal. Coachful supports Stripe Connect and Razorpay, not PayPal. Kajabi and Satori both support PayPal.
- You only need the cheapest 1:1 tool. For a handful of clients and no site, Satori Essentials is hard to undercut, and Satori Scholar costs nothing for certification students. Coachful has no permanent no-cost plan.
- Your business is a large course or membership audience. Kajabi's contact allowances (up to 100,000 on Pro), multiple websites and multiple communities suit a content business at scale. Coachful is not a course marketplace and not a general website builder for non-coaching sites.
- You need your own App Store listing. Kajabi Pro offers a branded App Store app. Coachful's client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding.
- You need clinical records or HIPAA. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so clinical record-keeping and insurance billing belong in a clinical system.
- You need a sales pipeline for a large team or a Salesforce or HubSpot integration. Coachful has neither.
How do you start?
Start a free trial, then use the white-glove build to have your site, first funnel or first program set up in your account. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. If you want an unlimited client roster from day one, the cheapest unlimited plan is Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients. Coaches already on Satori can read the Satori alternative page for what changes.
What should you check before you switch either way?
Before moving to Kajabi or Satori, check three things: whether your client count fits the plan you are pricing, which payment processor you will use, and what you can export if you leave.
- Count active clients and contacts. Satori bills by active clients (10 on Essentials); Kajabi caps contacts (2,500 on Basic). Price the plan you will need in six months, not today.
- Pick a processor. On Kajabi, a third-party gateway adds 0.5% to 2%. On Satori, only Stripe or PayPal fees apply.
- List every tool you will still need. With Satori: a website, email and a course or community tool. With Kajabi: booking, e-signature and something for between-session accountability.
- Check exports. Kajabi course content downloads per asset; Satori's general client-data export was not verified.
- Use the trial on a real client flow. Book, sign, pay and deliver one week of content as a test client before migrating anyone.
For a wider comparison of practice tools, see the top Satori alternatives, or browse every head-to-head on our comparisons page. If funnels and email are the part of Kajabi you would miss most, Coachful vs Kajabi for funnels and email covers that in depth.
Frequently asked questions
Is Kajabi or Satori better for a new coach?
For a new 1:1 coach, Satori is usually the better start: Essentials costs $33 a month (September 2026 listing) and covers up to 10 active paying clients with contracts and invoices. Kajabi starts at $179 a month and makes more sense once you sell courses or memberships. If you want booking, a website and programs together from the start, Coachful covers all three in one login.
Does Satori have courses or a community like Kajabi?
Not as of its September 2026 profile, which lists no landing pages, courses or community. Satori focuses on scheduling, the client portal, packages, invoices and contracts. Coaches who need courses usually add a second platform.
Does Kajabi handle 1:1 coaching clients?
Kajabi treats coaching as a product or community rather than a per-client plan. It does not list habit tracking, daily check-ins or contracts among its features. A coach running structured 1:1 programs on Kajabi would need other tools for booking, agreements and daily accountability.
What fees do Kajabi and Satori charge on client payments?
Satori takes no charge on client payments; standard Stripe and PayPal fees apply. Kajabi charges nothing extra with Kajabi Payments or PayPal, but other providers add 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth or 0.5% on Pro. Kajabi Payments in the US runs 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, falling to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro.
Do Kajabi and Satori offer free trials?
Yes. Kajabi offers a 14-day trial with an optional card and a 30-day money-back guarantee on every plan. Satori offers a 15-day trial with no card required during the trial and a refund if requested within 30 days of signing up.
Which is better for ICF credential hours?
Satori, between these two, because it exports a coaching log for ICF credentialing; Kajabi lists nothing comparable. Coachful goes a step further by tracking hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exporting an ICF client coaching log.
Do clients get a mobile app?
Kajabi offers a branded App Store app on Pro. Satori had no native mobile app per its September 2026 profile, so clients use a web portal. Coachful clients use the Coachful app with the coach's branding.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a build service included on every plan: you describe what you want (a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence and more), attach references and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It never invents credentials, testimonials or prices. It does not cover video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.
Can I move from Kajabi or Satori to Coachful?
Yes. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove build can recreate your homepage or sales pages. From Kajabi, export contacts and members as CSV and download course assets; from Satori, export your coaching log and client list.
Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not suitable for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Coaching is not treatment; health coaches should keep clinical records in a clinical system and refer clients to a licensed professional when needs go beyond coaching.
