7 Best Setmore Alternatives (2026 Guide)

7 Best Setmore Alternatives (2026 Guide)

The best Setmore alternatives depend on one question: do you need a better way to book sessions, or do you need software for everything that happens between them? Setmore is a capable appointment scheduler. If booking is your only gap, a cheaper or more flexible scheduler will do. If you also send contracts, run programs and chase check-ins by hand, swapping one scheduler for another changes very little.

For coaches who deliver programs, our pick is Coachful, because it puts booking, payments, contracts, program delivery, courses, community, website and email behind one login. We make Coachful, so weigh that ranking accordingly. The other six tools here are real schedulers with honest strengths, and for a coach who only sells single sessions, one of them may be the smarter buy. Prices are as listed in October 2026.

Why do coaches look for Setmore alternatives?

Most coaches leave Setmore because their practice grew past scheduling, not because scheduling broke. As listed in October 2026, Setmore's Free plan covers up to 4 users with unlimited appointments, a branded booking page, payments and one email reminder. Pro costs $5 per user per month on annual billing, and the page also shows $12, which appears to be the monthly-billed figure although it is not labelled. Pro adds two-way calendar sync, recurring and video appointments, deposits, SMS reminders and a HIPAA BAA.

That is a strong package for the price, and reviewers seem to agree: Setmore showed 4.9 on Trustpilot from 3,274 reviews when we checked in October 2026. The limits show up elsewhere. Setmore has no client programs, habits, check-ins, courses or community, and its pricing page shows no contracts or invoicing workflow. The Free plan also has no SMS reminders and no two-way sync. For the full breakdown, see our Setmore pricing guide and Setmore review.

What does a coach's client journey need from software?

A coaching client passes through four stages: attract, enroll, deliver and retain. Scheduling software mostly serves the middle of that path, so the useful test is how many stages a tool covers without a second subscription.

Attract: being findable and giving people a next step

A prospect needs a page that explains who you help and one obvious action. That usually means a website, a lead magnet or a link-in-bio page, plus email follow-up for people who are not ready yet. A booking page can serve as a bare landing page, but it cannot nurture anyone who leaves without booking.

Enroll: turning a yes into a signed, paid client

This stage is where admin piles up. You need a discovery call slot, intake questions, a coaching agreement, a payment and perhaps a payment plan. Electronic signatures are generally recognized in the US under the E-SIGN Act, although rules vary by country, so check with an attorney before relying on any template. Schedulers handle the first two items reasonably well. Few handle the rest.

Deliver: the sessions and everything between them

Sessions need calendars, reminders and video links. Results, however, tend to come from the days between calls: weekly goals, habits, check-ins, course lessons and a group to lean on. None of the schedulers in this guide offers that layer, so a coach using one has to add it separately or run it in spreadsheets and messages.

Retain: noticing who is drifting and offering what comes next

Retention depends on visibility. You want to see who has gone quiet before they cancel, and you want a follow-on offer ready when a program ends. Rebooking links and packages help a little. Client status, notes, progress history and renewals need a client record, which pure schedulers do not have.

Thinking of launching your coaching business?

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Which Setmore alternative covers which stage?

Only one tool on this list covers all four stages. To compare them fairly, we pictured a coach with 15 one-to-one clients and one six-week group program, then asked what each tool would handle and what the coach would still have to buy or do by hand.

Ranking criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort with the free white-glove build.

1. Coachful: the pick that covers the whole client journey

Coachful's client coaching hub and habit tracker, with demo data, on a laptop and tablet beside a notebook.

Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login, and the client has one app carrying the coach's branding. It is built for coaches who deliver programs rather than only sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.

Booking that matches what Setmore does

Leaving Setmore should not cost you scheduling features, so start there. Coachful's booking pages include availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection. Calendars sync two ways with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook. Sessions can use built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go out by email, plus SMS at 24 hours and WhatsApp at 1 hour once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions and session credits, ask intake questions on booking, and assign multi-coach session types by round-robin or least-busy rules.

The enrollment steps a scheduler leaves to you

Once someone says yes, the same system handles the paperwork. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and stay on the client record. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time charges, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax. Each transaction gets an invoice, and you can also create manual ones. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing.

Delivery between sessions, which is the real difference

Here is where the comparison stops being close. Multi-week programs can carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goal progress bars and streaks. Courses have modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking. Enrolling in a program can automatically create a cohort group, and the group tools include a community feed, group chat, direct messages, video events, group calls and webinars. All of it reaches the client through their branded home and app, as this walkthrough shows:

From the client's side, the experience is one place to look. They open the app and find the next session, the current program week, today's habits and any documents you shared.

A client record that shows who needs you

Each client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments, sessions and an AI briefing, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. That status is the retention signal a scheduler cannot give you, because a scheduler only knows about appointments. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from that live practice data to brief you before sessions, summarize recorded sessions, draft emails and build programs. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

The marketing side of the journey

Attracting clients lives here too. The website builder is section-based, with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates. Booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels support pixels and UTM tracking. Email covers lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. Coaches pursuing a credential can also use ICF hour tracking, which counts hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports a client coaching log. Coaches in fitness and nutrition can add the Fitness & Nutrition pack.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create > We'll build it for you, you describe what you want built: a website, funnel, offer page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, form, link in bio and more. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files. The team then builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented, so there are no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. In one recent build, a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. In another, a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site with every button leading to a 20-minute consultation. Read how the white-glove service works.

What Coachful does not do

Some gaps could rule it out, and it is better to know them now:

  • It is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Setmore Pro lists a BAA, and this is a real reason some health practitioners should stay on it.
  • It does not support PayPal, which Setmore does. Your own Stripe or Razorpay account is required for payments.
  • There is no permanent free plan, whereas Setmore has one.
  • The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.
  • There are no routing forms that pick a host from form answers, no Salesforce or HubSpot integration and no third-party plugins.

Reviewers are also fewer than for older tools: Coachful showed Trustpilot 4.5 from 21 reviews, against thousands for Setmore. To start, take a free trial, ask for the white-glove build, and import your clients during onboarding. The lowest plan is Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients, and the cheapest plan with unlimited clients is Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients.

2. Acuity Scheduling: the most coach-friendly pure scheduler

Among the schedulers here, Acuity comes closest to serving a coaching practice, since it pairs booking with intake forms, packages and memberships. Squarespace owns it, which may suit coaches who already host a site there.

Acuity Scheduling's homepage, which presents its online appointment booking product.
Acuity Scheduling's homepage in October 2026.

Where Acuity goes further than Setmore

Forms and prepaid offers are the main reasons to move. A coach can collect intake answers before a first session and sell a block of sessions or a membership, rather than charging call by call. Payments run through your own Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo account, with no Acuity fee mentioned on the pricing page. That makes it a reasonable fit for a coach who sells 6-session packages and does not need anything between calls.

Plans and prices as listed in October 2026

Starter is $20 per month, or $16 on annual billing, with 1 calendar. Standard is $34, or $27 annually, with up to 6 calendars, and it is where text reminders begin. Premium is $69, or $55 annually, with up to 36 calendars, and it is the only listed tier with a HIPAA BAA. Enterprise offers unlimited calendars at a price not listed. Every plan has a 7-day trial with no card required. There is no permanent free tier, so Setmore's Free plan users would be taking on a new bill.

Where it stops

Acuity has no client portal for programs, habits, check-ins or messaging. It has no courses, community, website builder or email marketing either. Reviews are mixed, with Trustpilot at 3.6 from 687 reviews in October 2026. Our Acuity vs Setmore comparison goes through the differences line by line.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell sessions and packages only, want PayPal or Venmo as payment options, or need a BAA from your scheduler and can justify the Premium tier.

3. Calendly: the name your clients already recognize

Familiarity is Calendly's main advantage. Plenty of clients, especially corporate ones, have booked through it before, so an executive or business coach faces little explanation when sending a link. Booking pages, reminder workflows and paid bookings through your own Stripe or PayPal account cover the core job, with no Calendly payment fee documented.

Calendly's homepage, which presents its booking pages and scheduling product.
Calendly's homepage in October 2026.

The Free plan is tighter than Setmore's. It allows 1 event type and 1 calendar connection, and it is limited to one-to-one scheduling, so a coach with a discovery call and a coaching session already exceeds it. Paid plans are listed per seat on annual billing: Standard at $10 per month with up to 6 calendar connections and unlimited event types, Teams at $16, and Teams Plus at $24. The Teams tiers drop with volume, and Enterprise starts at $15,000 per year with a 50-seat minimum. We could not confirm monthly-billed prices or a current trial from the pricing page. An older profile mentioned a 14-day Teams trial with no card.

Per-seat pricing matters once you add a second coach, because each one pays separately. Beyond that, the gaps look much like Setmore's. Calendly has no client records, notes, programs, habits or check-ins, and no contracts or invoicing. Intake is limited to booking questions. Trustpilot showed 4.1 from 714 reviews in October 2026. Coaches weighing the two directly can read Calendly vs Setmore, and those ready to go beyond it can read our list of Calendly alternatives for coaches.

Pick it over Coachful if scheduling is your only software need and your clients, or the companies paying for them, already work with Calendly.

4. YouCanBookMe: calendar-first booking with a commission to check

YouCanBookMe turns your existing calendar into a booking page, which suits coaches who treat their calendar as the single source of truth. It also reviews well, at Trustpilot 4.6 from 310 reviews in October 2026.

YouCanBookMe's homepage, which presents its calendar-based booking pages.
YouCanBookMe's homepage in October 2026.

What does the 1% commission cost in practice?

The commission applies to every Stripe payment and cannot be waived, on top of Stripe's own fees. As an example, a coach collecting $3,000 per month through bookings would pay $30 per month to YouCanBookMe in commission alone, which is more than any of its paid plans. If clients pay through booking, that number should drive your decision. If you invoice elsewhere, it does not apply.

Price list, October 2026

  • Free: a basic booking page.
  • Individual: $9 per month, or $8.10 annually, for 1 person.
  • Professional: $13 per month, or $11.70 annually, with CSV booking export.
  • Team: $18 per member per month, or $16.20 annually, with CSV booking export.
  • SMS: 7 cents each, with a dedicated US and Canada line at $59 setup plus $17 or $27 per month.

Two-year billing lowers these further, to $7.20, $10.40 and $14.40. No trial is stated. The product makes no HIPAA claim and offers no BAA, so it is no replacement for Setmore Pro on that front. It also has no client records, programs or courses.

Pick it over Coachful if you want a simple calendar-driven booking page, take payment outside the booking flow, and have no need for program delivery.

5. TimeTuna: a branded booking page aimed at coaches

Coaches are the first audience TimeTuna names on its homepage, ahead of consultants, founders and agencies, and its Free plan is generous for a scheduler. It includes unlimited booking pages, video backgrounds, two-way Google, Microsoft and iCal sync, and auto-created Meet, Teams and Zoom links. Two-way sync is notable here because Setmore reserves it for Pro.

TimeTuna's homepage, which presents branded booking pages for coaches and consultants.
TimeTuna's homepage in October 2026.

Payment is the catch. Charging for sessions through Stripe requires the Executive plan, while custom intake fields and a custom domain start on Pro. Prices read from TimeTuna's own table in October 2026 are:

  • Pro at $11.50 per month, or $5.83 on annual billing, for a single user.
  • Executive at $23 per month, or $11.67 annually, with team sharing for up to 6 people.
  • White label at $116.67 per month, billed yearly only, for up to 10 client companies.

Treat those dollar figures with some care, because the homepage we saw rendered euros and we did not see the dollar prices displayed from a US location. Pro and Executive come with a 14-day trial, and no TimeTuna fee on paid bookings is stated, although Stripe's processing fees still apply.

On reach, TimeTuna stops at booking. Its site mentions no courses, community, client portal or native mobile app, and its own comparison page lists client packages, programs and contracts as coming soon, so they were not available when we checked. We also found no Trustpilot profile, which leaves you with less public feedback to weigh than for the other tools here.

Pick it over Coachful if you want an attractive booking page today, can live without a public review record, and have no programs or contracts to manage.

6. TidyCal: a low bill, with a fee to watch

Few options cost less to keep running. TidyCal is an AppSumo product whose Free plan offers unlimited booking types and bookings, with 1 readable and 1 writable calendar and basic Google, Office 365 and Apple connections. Paid bookings and packages are available, which covers the simple prepaid offers many new coaches start with.

TidyCal's homepage, which presents its low-cost booking pages and calendar tools.
TidyCal's homepage in October 2026.

Pro costs $12 per month, or $8.25 on annual billing, and adds unlimited calendar connections and unlimited SMS reminders. One-time lifetime plans are also listed, with 10 readable calendars. We could not confirm their current prices. The Individual Lifetime plan has no team features or SMS, and Agency Lifetime includes only 10 SMS reminders per month in the US and Canada.

Fees change the math. TidyCal charges a 1% platform fee on Stripe payments on the Free and Lifetime plans, and 0% on Pro. As an example, $1,300 per month in bookings would cost $13 per month in platform fees on Free, which is more than Pro itself, so moving up pays for itself once your monthly volume passes roughly that level.

Public feedback is the weakest in this group, at Trustpilot 3.1 from 182 reviews in October 2026, and no trial or refund policy is stated beyond a link to the terms. There are no client records, notes, programs, habits, check-ins, courses, community, website builder or email marketing.

Pick it over Coachful if you have a handful of clients, sell simple session packages, and want to keep software spending close to zero for now.

7. Calendon: the cheapest paid plan on this list

At $5 per month, or $4 on annual billing, Calendon's Pro plan undercuts every other paid option here. Its Pro tagline names coaches, freelancers and professionals, and its homepage pitches selling coaching sessions paid upfront. The company states 0% commission, so Stripe's standard processing fee is the only cut.

Calendon's homepage, which pitches a simple booking link for selling paid sessions.
Calendon's homepage in October 2026.

Free or Pro: which one do you actually need?

Most working coaches will need Pro, because payments, reminder emails and Zoom are Pro-only. Free gives you 3 services, 2 schedules, unlimited bookings, Google Meet links and 1 custom question per service, plus a "Powered by Calendon" badge on the booking page. Pro removes the limits on services, schedules and custom questions. The pricing page mentions a Pro trial without giving a length, while an in-app changelog says 14 days. Refund requests are honoured within 48 hours after a post-trial upgrade.

The narrow integration list deserves a look before you commit. Booking links do not work for guests until Google Calendar is connected, and Microsoft Outlook and Teams show as coming soon in the app. A coach running on Outlook should wait or choose another tool. Setmore lists a BAA, in-person payments and mobile and desktop apps, and Calendon's site mentions no mobile app, packages, client portal, courses or community. On the plus side, an in-app Download My Data option exports your profile, services and bookings as a JSON file, and the features page promises no lock-in. No review-site rating turned up in our data.

Pick it over Coachful if you are just starting, live in Google Calendar, and need nothing more than a paid booking link at the lowest possible cost.

Which features does each Setmore alternative include?

The columns from contracts onward show where schedulers stop and coaching platforms begin. "Partial" means the feature exists with a meaningful limit or only on a higher tier.

What does each alternative cost at 5, 15 and 40 clients?

Scheduler prices rarely move with client count, because they charge per user rather than per client. Coachful's lower plans cap clients, so its price can change as you grow. The scheduler rows below show a solo coach on the first paid tier that handles most needs, as listed in October 2026, with the annual-billing price first. Payment processing is extra everywhere.

Should you choose an all-in-one or an assembled stack?

Choose an all-in-one when you sell programs, and an assembled stack when you sell sessions and already like your other tools. A scheduler's low price tells you little until you add what it leaves out, so compare whole stacks.

Two laptops side by side, one showing a client overview and the other a scheduling homepage.
Coachful's client overview, with demo data, next to Setmore's homepage on a shared table.

The scheduler figures below come from October 2026 listings. Every other dollar figure is an example budget line we chose for illustration, not a quote from any vendor, so replace it with what you actually pay.

Stack recipeWhat is in itLoginsMonthly software cost

Full assembled stackSetmore Pro $12 (listed), e-signature $15, email $20, website $20, course and community host $40 (all examples)5$107 (example)

Money is only part of this comparison. An assembled stack means several logins for you, often several for the client, and manual work to keep client details matched across tools. It also leaves the habit and check-in layer unsolved unless you add yet another product. On the other hand, it lets you keep a tool you love and replace pieces one at a time, and no single vendor outage takes down everything. Coaches who pick the all-in-one route should also read our coaching software overview, and those comparing dedicated platforms can start with Paperbell alternatives or the comparison hub.

How do you migrate away from Setmore without losing bookings?

Run the old and new systems side by side until your existing appointments are done, and move your public links last. This order avoids both double bookings and dead links.

  1. Save your data first. Export options were not documented on the Setmore pages we checked, so look in your account or ask support, and copy client names, emails and upcoming appointments somewhere safe before changing anything.
  2. Connect your calendar to the new tool. Once your Setmore appointments appear on that calendar, they block time on the new booking page. Setmore's Free plan lacks two-way sync, so check that existing appointments reach your calendar and add any that do not.
  3. Rebuild session types. Match names, lengths, buffers, minimum notice and prices, and recreate any intake questions. Book a test session from a different email address and confirm the reminders arrive.
  4. Sort out payments early. Setmore works with Square, Stripe, PayPal and LawPay. If you use Square or PayPal now, check which processors your new tool accepts. Coachful uses Stripe or Razorpay, so a Square user would need to open one of those accounts before taking the first payment.
  5. Tell clients before switching links. A short message saying where to book from now on prevents confusion. Keep Setmore live for already-scheduled appointments, including recurring ones.
  6. Swap every public link. Update your website, email signature, social bios and any automated emails. Then turn off new bookings in Setmore, and cancel paid plans only after the last old appointment has passed.
  7. Keep clinical records in a clinical system. If you hold health data, check whether HIPAA applies to you before moving any of it, and ask an attorney if you are unsure. Coaching is not medical treatment, so refer clients with medical or mental health concerns to a licensed professional.

Moving to Coachful changes one step: clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. You can also ask the white-glove team to build the website, funnels or program you did not have on Setmore. Coaches new to the business can start at our page for new coaches, while health coaches should read the compliance limits above first.

What is our verdict on the best Setmore alternative?

Coachful is the best Setmore alternative for coaches who deliver programs, because it covers attract, enroll, deliver and retain under one login and includes the between-session work no scheduler here touches. The white-glove build also removes much of the setup effort that usually keeps coaches on tools they have outgrown.

The right answer changes if your needs are narrower. For sessions and packages with proper intake forms, Acuity Scheduling is the strongest pure scheduler on this list. For clients who already expect it, Calendly is the easy choice. For the lowest cost, Calendon and TidyCal are hard to beat at their price. Setmore itself may still be the right tool if you only need appointments, want PayPal or need a BAA at a low price, so do not move just for the sake of moving.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Setmore for coaches?

Coachful is our pick for coaches who run programs, since it combines booking with contracts, payments, habits, check-ins, courses and community. If you only need scheduling, Acuity Scheduling is the strongest option for intake forms and packages. We make Coachful, so compare the feature tables above against your own workflow.

Is there a free alternative to Setmore?

Yes, several schedulers list a $0 plan as of October 2026, including Calendly, YouCanBookMe, TidyCal, TimeTuna and Calendon. Each has limits. Calendly allows one event type, TidyCal charges 1% on Stripe payments, and Calendon reserves payments and reminder emails for Pro.

Which Setmore alternative is cheapest?

Calendon Pro has the lowest listed paid price here, at $5 per month or $4 on annual billing. Setmore Pro is close at $5 per user per month on annual billing. Check fees as well, because a 1% commission on YouCanBookMe or on TidyCal's lower plans can outweigh a small difference in subscription price.

Does Coachful replace Setmore completely?

For most coaches, yes on the core jobs: booking pages, two-way calendar sync, reminders, video links and paid sessions are all included in your Coachful membership. Three things are different. It has no PayPal, no permanent free plan and no BAA, so coaches who depend on those should stay with a tool that offers them.

Can I get a HIPAA BAA from a Setmore alternative?

Among the tools here, Acuity Scheduling lists a BAA on its Premium plan, while Setmore lists one on Pro. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, and YouCanBookMe makes no HIPAA claim. Check whether HIPAA applies to you with an attorney, because a BAA alone does not make a practice compliant.

Do any of these tools handle coaching contracts?

Coachful sends coaching agreements with e-signature before the first call and stores them on the client record. The schedulers in this guide do not document a contract workflow, and TimeTuna lists contracts as coming soon. If you stay with a scheduler, budget for a separate e-signature tool, and have a local lawyer review your agreement.

What is the Coachful white-glove service?

It is a free build service available on every plan. You describe what you want, such as a website, funnel, program or email sequence, attach references, and the Coachful team builds it in your own account, usually within about 24 hours. It leaves gaps for you rather than inventing credentials, testimonials or prices, and it excludes videos, logo design, ads and ongoing marketing.

How long does it take to switch from Setmore?

It depends on how many session types and upcoming appointments you have. Rebuilding a few session types can be quick, but plan to keep Setmore running until your already-booked appointments have passed. Moving a whole practice takes longer if you are also adding contracts, programs or a website.

Is Setmore still a good choice for some coaches?

Yes. Its Free plan is generous, Pro is inexpensive, it supports PayPal and it lists a BAA on Pro. If you sell individual sessions and manage everything else elsewhere without trouble, staying on Setmore is a sensible decision.
