Top 7 Best App for Christian Life Coaches: Ranked and Reviewed

Top 7 Best App for Christian Life Coaches: Ranked and Reviewed

The best app for Christian life coaches is the one your clients open between sessions on their own: to log a morning scripture reading, answer an evening check-in, watch this week's lesson, or post a prayer request to their group. So don't ask which tool has the most features. Ask which app keeps your clients practicing their faith-shaped goals from Monday to Saturday, and how many other tools you have to stitch on behind it.

Our pick is Coachful's client app. Your clients install it on iPhone or Android and find your branding inside, with their habits, check-ins, goals, program lessons, sessions, messages and small-group community in one place. Behind it you run booking, payments, agreements and your website from the same login. We make Coachful, so weigh that, but the ranking below sets out exactly why it leads and when each of the other six apps is the better choice.

This guide is about the app your clients use. If you want the back-office comparison instead, read our guide to the best software for life coaches. If you are still setting up your practice, start with how to start a Christian life coaching business.

What do Christian coaching clients actually do in an app each week?

Mostly they do small, repeated things: a daily habit, a short reflection, one lesson, a message to their coach, a post in their group. A Christian life coaching engagement usually blends ordinary life-coaching goals (career, marriage, health, boundaries, purpose) with spiritual rhythms the client has chosen. The app has to carry both without turning into a church management system or a Bible app.

Here is what a typical week looks like for a client in a 12-week faith-integrated program. It is an example to plan around, not data from any study:

  • Daily: tick off a habit such as a morning devotional, a prayer walk or a screen-free evening; answer a short morning or evening check-in about energy, gratitude or where they noticed God at work that day.
  • Two or three times a week: open the current lesson (a teaching video, an audio reflection, a PDF worksheet or a short reading plan the coach wrote).
  • Weekly: review progress on one or two goals, prepare for the coaching call, confirm or reschedule the session, and read the coach's notes afterwards.
  • Ongoing: message the coach privately, and join a cohort or small group for encouragement, shared prayer requests and a monthly live call.

Two things matter more for this niche than for most. First, privacy: clients share struggles in marriage, faith and identity, so private one-to-one messages and private reflections must stay separate from the group feed. Second, scope: Christian life coaching is not pastoral counseling, therapy or crisis care. If a client discloses thoughts of self-harm, abuse, addiction or symptoms of a mental health condition, refer them to a licensed counselor, their pastor or a physician, and in the United States share the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988). Life coaching itself is broadly described as a goal-focused, non-clinical practice (overview of life coaching), and your app setup should reflect that boundary.

Quick picks: which app wins for your situation?

We ranked on one line: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery on the client's phone, total monthly stack cost, and setup effort (including Coachful's free white-glove build). Here is the short version.

Build your platform

How did we choose and rank these seven apps?

We scored each tool on what the client experiences on their phone, then on what it costs the coach to run. We did not run hands-on tests; we used what each vendor documents, the vendor profiles we keep, and what public reviewers report.

  1. Daily practice: can the client log habits, answer morning and evening check-ins and see streaks or goal progress?
  2. Lessons and resources: can you deliver teaching, audio, worksheets and reading plans in sequence?
  3. Messaging and community: private one-to-one messages plus a group space for cohorts or small groups.
  4. Sessions: can the client book, reschedule and get reminders without leaving the app?
  5. Branding: does the client see your name and colors, or the vendor's?
  6. Phone availability: a real app on iPhone and Android, or a mobile browser only?
  7. Back office connection: do payments, agreements and client records connect to what the client sees?
  8. Total monthly cost of the whole stack you would need, not one tool's sticker price.

Mighty Networks and Circle keep your own branded app for their custom-priced top plans, and CoachAccountable has no native app at all. We say so in each section, because a client who has to find a bookmark in a mobile browser opens it far less often than one who taps an icon.

1. Coachful: why is it the best app for Christian life coaches overall?

Wins when: you coach individuals or small cohorts through a multi-week program and want their daily spiritual and practical habits, lessons, sessions and group in one app you control.

Habit tracker cards on a phone next to a goal view with daily momentum on a laptop in a morning reading nook
Coachful's demo habit tracker on a phone beside a goal's daily momentum view on a laptop, set in a morning reading nook.

Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, coaching agreements, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six separate tools.

The client app runs on iPhone and Android. Your clients download the Coachful app and see your branding inside it; it is not published under your own App Store account. For most Christian coaches that trade is a good one: you skip developer accounts and app review entirely, and your clients still open an app that feels like your practice. For a deeper look at the trade-offs, see our guide to custom branded coaching apps.

What your client sees each day

Programs run in weeks, with weekly goals, daily tasks and habits. You might build a 12-week "Rooted" program in which week one sets a morning devotional habit, week three adds a Sabbath planning task, and week six introduces a hard conversation the client has been avoiding. Clients see goals with progress bars and streaks, and they answer morning and evening check-ins you design. A morning check-in can ask what they are trusting God with today; an evening one can ask for one moment of gratitude and one moment of friction.

Here is a short walkthrough of how check-ins are set up and what clients answer:

Lessons live in the same app. Courses support modules, lessons, drip release and completion tracking, and you can add downloads, videos, books and audio. That suits a Christian coach who records a short teaching each week or shares a reading plan as a PDF. If you need a starting point, Coachful includes more than 40 ready-to-film program templates and 48 course templates with quizzes, which you rewrite in your own voice and theology.

Community, messages and sessions in the same place

When a client enrolls in a group program, Coachful creates the cohort group automatically. Members get a community feed, group chat and video events, while one-to-one direct messages with you stay private. Group calls and webinars run from the same account, so a monthly live prayer and Q&A call does not need a separate tool.

Sessions are booked through your booking pages, with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection. Calendars sync both ways with Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook. Calls use built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and are stored on the client record (see coaching contracts).

For clients who want support between calls, the AI Coach is an AI version of you that selected clients can chat with; you configure what it does. Some Christian coaches will want to keep spiritual direction strictly human, and that is a reasonable choice: only the clients you select get access, and you configure what it does.

What you see behind the app

Every habit tick and check-in lands on the client record alongside goals, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions. Each client shows a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you notice the client who has gone silent before the next session rather than during it. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from that live data to brief you before sessions, draft program content and emails, and summarize recorded sessions. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee (since August 2026); you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. If you are working toward an ICF credential, ICF hour tracking counts your coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds. Our Christian life coach certification guide covers which credentials matter.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you" and describe what you need: your first program, a course outline, a check-in flow, a website, a booking funnel or an email sequence. Attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, such as your logo, photos, a statement of faith or existing worksheets. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and any gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording your videos, logo design or ad management. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Where Coachful falls short

Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing; Christian counselors who bill insurance need a clinical system. There is no PayPal and no permanent free plan. Your clients use the Coachful listing with your branding, not your own App Store app. There is no Apple Health, Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync. It is also not a church management system: no giving, volunteer scheduling or attendance tracking.

Pricing: flat monthly plans, with lower plans capping the number of clients and Pro unlimited (current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients). Monthly plans cancel in one click, and there is a free trial. Coachful holds a Trustpilot rating of 4.5 from 21 reviews. 2. Mighty Networks: is it the right app for a faith community?

Choose it when your work looks more like a ministry network than a coaching caseload: hundreds of members, several discussion spaces, courses and regular livestreams.

Mighty Networks homepage introducing its community, courses and events platform
Mighty Networks's homepage in October 2026.

Mighty Networks is a community, courses and events platform. Members use a Mighty-branded app, so they see the Mighty Networks name rather than yours unless you pay for Mighty Pro, which is custom-priced and where your own branded apps become available. For a Christian coach building a women's ministry community or a men's accountability network across several churches, it gives members a familiar social feed, courses and live events.

Where it falls short for coaching is the one-to-one layer. As listed in October 2026, Mighty Networks has no 1:1 scheduling, invoicing or contracts, and no per-client habits, check-ins or private coaching plans. You can run a group Bible study cohort well; you cannot see that one member has missed five days of their prayer habit, because that data does not exist in the tool.

Pricing as listed in October 2026: Launch is $95 per month ($79 billed annually) with 3 hosts and 20 hours a month of livestreaming for up to 100 attendees. Scale is $215 per month ($179 billed annually). Growth is $354 per month billed annually. Mighty takes a platform fee on sales of 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, on top of Stripe processing. There is a 14-day trial with no card required. Public reviewers give it 3.3 on Trustpilot from 219 reviews.

Most coaches who pick Mighty Networks pair it with a separate scheduling and payments tool, which adds a second login for clients. Our guide to community platforms for coaches explains when a standalone community makes sense.

Pick it over Coachful if your main product is a large, open community or ministry network and individual coaching is a small side offer.

3. Kajabi: does a course-first platform suit Christian coaches?

For a coach whose income comes mostly from a recorded Bible-study course, a devotional membership or a podcast audience, Kajabi is the strongest fit on this list.

Kajabi homepage presenting its platform for courses, communities and coaching products
Kajabi's homepage in October 2026.

Kajabi is a course, community, website, funnel and email platform for selling knowledge products. Its site lists a Branded Mobile App product alongside courses, communities, memberships, podcasts and coaching. If you run a 40-day devotional course for thousands of buyers, the selling side (checkout, email, funnels) is mature.

The gap is per-client coaching. As listed in October 2026, Kajabi has no habit tracking or daily client check-ins, and coaching is handled as products and communities rather than per-client plans. A client in a 12-week one-to-one program would get lessons but no daily habit log, no morning check-in and no progress bar you can review before their call.

Cost as listed in October 2026: Basic is $179 per month ($143 billed annually) with 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 community and no AI credits. Growth is $249 per month ($199 billed annually) and Pro $499 per month ($399 billed annually). Kajabi Payments in the US charges 2.7% to 2.9% plus 30 cents depending on plan; with another processor (PayPal excluded) Kajabi adds 0.5% to 2%. The standard trial is 14 days. Trustpilot shows 3.4 from 2,347 reviews.

For a coach who sells one course and coaches a handful of people privately, Basic's five-product cap and its price make it an expensive client app. Compare course platforms in our roundup of course platforms for life coaches.

Pick it over Coachful if you sell recorded courses or memberships at volume and your email list matters more than daily client accountability.

4. Practice Better: what if you coach faith and health together?

Practice Better makes sense for a Christian coach who also works as a nutrition or wellness practitioner and needs charting and telehealth alongside coaching.

Practice Better homepage presenting its practice management platform for wellness practitioners
Practice Better's homepage in October 2026.

Practice Better is practice management for wellness and nutrition practitioners: scheduling, telehealth, charting, billing, programs and a client portal. Clients get a portal and app for sessions and program content; our Practice Better app breakdown covers what clients and practitioners see. Its clinical leaning is the reason to choose it, and also the reason it can feel heavy for a coach whose sessions are about calling, marriage or leadership rather than meal plans.

Several client-facing features sit on higher plans. As listed in October 2026, evergreen programs, portal branding, a custom URL and SMS start on Plus at $99 per month. On lower plans, the portal carries less of your identity. Our September 2026 profile also notes there is no website builder or funnel pages, so marketing lives elsewhere, and the account allows one practitioner below the Team plan.

The numbers, as listed in October 2026: Sprout is free for 3 clients. Starter is $35 per month ($25 billed annually) for 10 clients, Professional $69 per month ($59 billed annually) for 300 clients, Plus $99 per month ($89 billed annually) for unlimited clients, and Team $155 per month ($145 billed annually) for 2 practitioners. Trials run 14 days on most paid plans and 30 on Team. Payments use Practice Better Payments, powered by Stripe. Trustpilot shows 3.8 from 87 reviews.

Pick it over Coachful if you chart clinical-style notes, run telehealth intake for nutrition or wellness clients, and need practitioner features more than a branded community or website.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

5. CoachAccountable: a desktop back office with no native app

CoachAccountable suits coaches whose clients are comfortable working through detailed action plans and worksheets on a laptop, and who mostly need structure between sessions rather than a community.

CoachAccountable homepage presenting its coaching back office for sessions and action plans
CoachAccountable's homepage in October 2026.

CoachAccountable is a coaching back office: sessions, action plans, metrics, worksheets, courses, invoicing and agreements. Its accountability tools are thorough; a coach can assign a weekly action such as "write and pray through your family mission statement" and track a numeric metric such as days of quiet time. For a more detailed comparison of accountability tools, see client accountability software for life coaches.

The client experience is the weak point for this article's question. Our September 2026 profile records no native mobile app, so clients use the mobile browser. There are also no landing pages, website or marketing automation, and no community feature. A client who wants to tap an icon each morning, or chat with their cohort, will need another tool.

What it costs, as listed in October 2026: pricing is per active client. Starter is $20 per month for 2 active clients, Level 1 $40 for 5, Level 2 $70 for 10, Level 3 $120 for 20, Level 4 $250 for 50 and Level 5 $400 for 100. That gets expensive for group programs. The trial is 30 days with no card. It is also not HIPAA compliant by its own statement. Public reviewers rate it highly: 4.8 on Trustpilot from 47 reviews. See more options in CoachAccountable alternatives.

Pick it over Coachful if your clients prefer desktop worksheets, you coach a small number of individuals, and a phone app and group space genuinely do not matter to them.

6. Circle: a good home for prayer groups, with limits

The scenario Circle wins: a paid membership where small groups, prayer threads, events and courses sit in clearly separated spaces.

Circle homepage presenting its community platform with courses, events and memberships
Circle's homepage in October 2026.

Circle is a community platform with courses, events, live streams and paid memberships. Spaces make it easy to separate a public discussion area from a private prayer-request space for one cohort. If your coaching practice sits inside a larger membership (say, a Christian entrepreneurs' network with a monthly mastermind), Circle's structure is a strength.

As listed in October 2026, branded mobile apps are only on the custom-priced Circle Plus plan, so on other plans your members do not get your own branded app. Circle has no 1:1 scheduling or client management back office, and no per-client habits, check-ins or coaching plans. Like Mighty Networks, it handles the group well and leaves the individual journey to another tool.

Plans as listed in October 2026: Professional is $89 per month billed annually, Business $199 billed annually and Scale $419 billed annually; Circle Plus is custom-priced. Circle charges a fee on payments of 2% on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, and 0.5% on Circle Plus, plus Stripe processing. There is a 14-day trial with no card required. Trustpilot shows 4.1 from 129 reviews.

For coaches weighing community tools against an all-in-one, our roundup of coaching communities for life coaches goes further.

Pick it over Coachful if you run a large paid community where discussion spaces are the product and one-to-one coaching is handled elsewhere.

7. Everfit: should faith-and-fitness coaches use a training app?

Everfit is the pick for a Christian coach whose program is mostly physical ("honor God with your body" style faith-and-fitness coaching) and whose clients mainly need to log workouts.

Everfit homepage presenting its fitness coaching app for trainers and coaches
Everfit's homepage in October 2026.

Everfit is a fitness coaching app: workouts, habits, nutrition and messaging, priced by client count. Clients get a phone app built around training, so a workout-heavy client will feel at home. The free Starter plan covers up to 5 clients, which is useful for a new coach testing a faith-and-fitness offer.

The trade-offs show up as soon as the program includes teaching. As listed in October 2026, Everfit has no course builder, website, funnels or email marketing, and automation (Autoflow), payments and meal plans are paid add-ons. A weekly devotional video or a reading plan has nowhere natural to live, and a cohort community is not part of its core feature list.

Everfit pricing as listed in October 2026: Starter is free for up to 5 clients. Pro starts at $19 per month ($16 billed annually) for 5 clients and scales: $29 for 10 clients, $49 for 20, $95 for 50 and $140 for 100. Studio starts at $105 per month for 50 clients. There is a 30-day trial with no card. Trustpilot shows 2.7 from 16 reviews. If your offer is closer to personal training, see our best app for personal trainers guide; Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack covers workouts and nutrition inside the same client app.

Pick it over Coachful if your clients only need workout programming and habit logging, you coach five or fewer people, and you want to start at no cost.

How do the seven client apps compare feature by feature?

Only Coachful puts daily habits, check-ins, lessons, private messages, group community and session booking in one client app on iPhone and Android. The matrix shows where each of the others stops.

What does a day in the Coachful app look like for one client?

Here is an illustrative example, not a real customer. "Grace" is 41, a school administrator in a 12-week program called "Rooted" with a Christian life coach. Her goals: rebuild a daily prayer rhythm, set boundaries at work, and decide whether to apply for a principal role.

Coachful goal view with a Daily momentum section linking tasks and habits, and daily and weekly reflection tabs
A demo goal in Coachful: the Daily momentum section pulls linked tasks and habits together, with daily and weekly reflection tabs below.
  1. 6:40 a.m. Grace opens the app, which shows her coach's branding. Her morning check-in asks two questions her coach wrote: "What are you carrying into today?" and "One verse or phrase to hold onto." She answers in under a minute.
  2. 6:45 a.m. She ticks off "Morning prayer, 10 minutes," and her streak moves up. Her goal "Daily prayer rhythm" shows its progress bar filling.
  3. 12:30 p.m. At lunch she opens week five's lesson: a nine-minute teaching video on boundaries and a PDF worksheet. She marks it complete.
  4. 12:40 p.m. She posts in her cohort group, which was created automatically when she enrolled, asking for prayer before a difficult staff meeting. Two cohort members reply that afternoon.
  5. Thursday, the day before her session: she gets an SMS reminder 24 hours ahead and completes the pre-session task in her coaching hub.
  6. 9:00 p.m. Her evening check-in asks for one moment of gratitude and one moment of friction. She mentions the staff meeting went better than expected.

On the coach's side, all of that sits on Grace's client record: check-in answers, habit streak, lesson completion and the community post. Before Friday's call, Michelle summarizes the week. If Grace had stopped checking in, her status would move toward quiet or at risk, and her coach could message her privately. Coachful's group coaching software page shows how cohorts and 1:1 clients run side by side.

What do three example stacks cost per month?

The cheapest-looking tool is rarely the cheapest stack. Here are three example setups for a coach with about 10 to 15 clients, using list prices as listed in October 2026. They are illustrations; your mix will differ.

StackToolsWhat clients installMonthly cost (example)
Coachful all-in-oneCoachful only: app, booking, payments, agreements, courses, community, website, emailOne app (Coachful, with your branding)Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients
Community-first ministryMighty Networks Launch ($95) plus CoachAccountable Level 2 for 10 active clients ($70)Mighty Networks app plus a mobile browser bookmark$165/mo, plus a 2% Mighty fee on sales
Course-firstKajabi Basic ($179) plus Paperbell for booking and contracts ($97)Kajabi app plus Paperbell in the mobile browser$276/mo

The second and third stacks also mean two logins for clients and two places to look for their progress. Paperbell, used in the third stack, has no native mobile app and no habit tracking according to our September 2026 profile; see Paperbell alternatives. Card processing applies on top in all three.

What mistakes do coaches make when choosing a client app?

The most common mistake is choosing on the coach's dashboard instead of the client's phone. Others follow close behind:

  • Buying a community tool for a coaching job. A feed is not a habit tracker. If your program depends on daily prayer or reflection, you need per-client check-ins.
  • Splitting the journey across apps. Lessons in one app, booking in a browser and chat in a third means clients stop opening at least one of them.
  • Mixing private and group spaces. Faith and marriage struggles belong in private messages and private reflections, not the cohort feed. Set this boundary in your agreement.
  • Blurring coaching and counseling. Write your scope into your agreement and refer out when a client needs clinical or pastoral care.
  • Paying for your own App Store app too early. A branded app inside an existing listing gets you most of the client experience without developer accounts or review cycles. Our guide to creating a coaching app explains the options.
  • Ignoring platform fees. A 2% fee on a $3,000 group program (an example figure) is $60 per sale, every sale.

Verdict: which app should a Christian life coach choose?

Choose Coachful if your clients follow a program with daily spiritual and practical habits, check-ins, lessons, sessions and a small group, and you want them in one app on iPhone and Android with your branding. Start with a free trial, then ask the team for the free white-glove build of your first program, check-in flow or website so clients have something real to open in week one. It is not the right tool for insurance-billed counseling, PayPal-only payments or a fully separate App Store listing.

Choose Mighty Networks or Circle when the community is the product. Choose Kajabi when recorded courses are the business. Choose Practice Better for faith-integrated health and nutrition practice with charting, CoachAccountable for desktop-first worksheet clients, and Everfit for faith-and-fitness coaching that is mostly training. For the business setup beyond the app, see how to become a Christian life coach and our list of tools for life coaches.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best app for Christian life coaches?

For most coaches running one-to-one or small-group programs, Coachful's client app is the strongest choice: habits, check-ins, lessons, sessions, private messages and community sit in one app on iPhone and Android with your branding. Mighty Networks or Circle suit large communities, and Kajabi suits course sales at volume.

Can my clients download an app with my name on it?

With Coachful, clients download the Coachful app on iPhone or Android and see your branding inside it; it is not listed under your own App Store account. Mighty Networks and Circle reserve your own branded apps for their custom-priced top plans.

Which apps have no native mobile app at all?

CoachAccountable and Paperbell had no native mobile app in our September 2026 profiles, so clients use a mobile browser. That makes daily habits and check-ins harder to sustain.

Can I add scripture readings, devotionals and prayer prompts?

Yes, as your own content. In Coachful you write habits, check-in questions, lessons, PDFs and audio yourself, so the theology and wording are yours. None of the tools here include a built-in Bible library, so plan to write or license your own material.

Is a Christian coaching app a replacement for counseling?

No. Coaching is goal-focused and non-clinical. If a client shows signs of a mental health condition, abuse, addiction or crisis, refer them to a licensed counselor, their pastor or a physician, and in the US share the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?

No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. Christian counselors working clinically need a dedicated clinical system.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

You describe what you want built (a program, course outline, check-in flow, website, funnel or email sequence) and attach references, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It is free on every plan. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management.

Do I pay a platform fee on Coachful sales?

No. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee on payments (since August 2026); you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing on your own account. Mighty Networks, Circle and Kajabi (with non-Kajabi processors) add a percentage on some plans.

Can I run small groups and one-to-one clients in the same app?

In Coachful, yes. Enrolling a client in a group program creates the cohort group automatically, while one-to-one sessions, messages and reflections stay private. Community-only tools handle groups but not individual coaching plans.

How long does it take to get clients into the app?

It depends on how much content you already have. Coachful imports your clients, programs and content during onboarding, and the white-glove team can build a first program or check-in flow, so many coaches can invite clients in their first week.
