Coachway Pricing in 2026: Plans, Fees and What Coaches Pay

Coachway pricing is simple on the surface: one plan with every feature, priced per active client. As listed in October 2026, Coachway costs $79 a month for up to 5 active clients, then $10 a month for each additional client (the headline price on its site is EUR 69 plus EUR 9 per extra client, ex-VAT, billed monthly). There is no annual plan, no free plan, and a 14-day free trial that needs a card. Coaches who take payments through Coachway's built-in payment system also pay a 2.4% fee on those transactions, on top of Stripe's own processing.
That makes Coachway cheap at 5 clients and steadily more expensive after that. A coach with 25 active clients pays $279 a month before payment fees. Below we break down the plan, every fee, what coaches actually pay at three practice sizes, the tools you still need beside it, and how it compares with Trainerize, Everfit, HubFit, TrueCoach, PT Distinction and Coachful. We make Coachful, so we put it first in our tables, and we are open about where Coachway fits a fitness coach better.

What does Coachway cost in October 2026?
Coachway costs $79 a month for up to 5 active clients, plus $10 a month per active client above 5, as listed in October 2026. Every feature is included on that single plan; Coachway says there are "no tiers".
Coachway ApS is a Copenhagen-based company, and it prices in euros first. The pricing page headline reads "Coachway costs EUR 69/month for up to 5 clients, then EUR 9 per additional client", with prices ex-VAT and billed monthly. A currency calculator on the same page, which picks your currency from your IP address, converts that to six currencies:
| Currency | Base price (up to 5 clients) | Each additional active client |
|---|---|---|
| US dollars | $79/month | $10/month |
| Euros | EUR 69/month | EUR 9/month |
| British pounds | GBP 59/month | GBP 8/month |
| Danish kroner | DKK 499/month | DKK 65/month |
| Norwegian kroner | NOK 799/month | NOK 99/month |
| Swedish kronor | SEK 749/month | SEK 99/month |
All figures are as listed in October 2026 and exclude VAT. This article uses the US dollar figures unless it says otherwise.

What plans does Coachway offer?
Coachway offers one plan. There is no starter tier, no premium tier and no annual discount shown on the pricing page, so the only thing that changes your bill is how many active clients you coach.
Here is the full plan table, with Coachful first for reference because it is the platform we recommend for most coaches comparing these options.
| Platform and plan | Monthly price | Annual option | Client limit | What is included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients | Flat monthly plans; monthly plans cancel in one click | Lower plans cap clients; Pro is unlimited (Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients) | Booking, payments, contracts, programs, check-ins, courses, community, website, funnels, email and the Michelle AI assistant in one membership |
| Coachway (single plan) | $79/month (EUR 69) | None shown | 5 active clients in the base price; $10/month (EUR 9) per extra client | Every feature: Power Panel inbox, workout builder, meal planner, check-in forms, client progress, automations, payments and billing, lead management, chat, team roles, coach mobile app, branded client app |
Coachway's single plan is a fair design for a fitness coach who wants every feature from day one. You never hit a wall where meal plans or automations sit behind a higher tier, which is common with fitness apps such as Everfit and Trainerize, where automation, payments and meal plans are add-ons.
What does the Coachway plan include?
The Coachway plan includes the full fitness and nutrition coaching toolkit: workouts, meal plans, check-ins, progress tracking, automations, payments, a lead pipeline, chat and a branded client app. Here is what each part adds, as Coachway documents it in October 2026.
- Workout builder. A library of more than 1,800 exercises, supersets, AMRAP sets and reusable templates.
- Meal planner. More than 1,100 recipes, macro targets, allergy filters and PDF export of meal plans.
- Check-in forms and progress tracking. Weight, body measurements and progress photos, collected through recurring check-ins.
- Power Panel inbox. Coachway's central view for messages and client activity that needs attention.
- Chat. Messaging with voice and video messages between coach and client.
- Automations. Rules that send messages or assign content without manual work.
- Payments and billing. Built on the coach's own Stripe account, with the 2.4% fee covered below.
- Lead management. A pipeline for prospects before they become paying clients.
- Team roles. Access levels for assistant coaches.
- Coach mobile app and branded client app. The client app runs on iOS and Android with your logo and colours inside the Coachway app, and it is available in 6 languages.
What the site does not describe is just as important for budgeting. We found no session booking calendar, no course builder and no community feature on the Coachway pages we checked in October 2026. Coachway is fitness-first, and a coach who sells calls, courses or group programs will need other tools for those parts of the business.
What fees does Coachway charge beyond the plan?
Beyond the base price, Coachway charges $10 a month per active client above 5, and a 2.4% fee on transactions run through its built-in payment system. Stripe's processing fees are separate in both cases.
| Fee | Amount as listed in October 2026 | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Base subscription | $79/month (EUR 69), ex-VAT | Always, after the 14-day trial |
| Per-client fee | $10 (EUR 9) per active client per month | Each active client above 5 |
| Payment fee | 2.4% per transaction | Payments collected through Coachway's built-in payments |
| Stripe processing | Stripe's standard rates | Every card payment, charged by Stripe to your own account |
| Standalone white-label app | Paid option, price not shown | Only if you want the app under your own App Store and Google Play listing |
| VAT | Added to the ex-VAT price where it applies | Depends on your country and business registration |
| Migration | Free where a move is possible | Moving from some other platforms |
The 2.4% payment fee
The pricing page lists a "2.4% payment fee on transactions" when you use Coachway's built-in payment system. Coaches connect their own Stripe account. The page's structured data describes the fee as "optional 2.4% per transaction via built-in payments; none via coach's own Stripe checkout". In plain terms: if you sell through Coachway's payment features, expect 2.4% on top of Stripe's fees; if you send clients to your own Stripe checkout instead, Coachway says it takes nothing. As an example, $1,000 a month collected through built-in payments means $24 to Coachway before Stripe's cut.
Seats and team members
Coachway lists team roles as part of the single plan and does not show a per-seat price. Your cost grows with active clients, not coaches, so a team of three coaches sharing 40 clients pays the same as one coach with 40 clients.
The white-label app
The branded client app is included, but it runs inside the Coachway app with your logo and colours. A fully standalone app under your own app-store listing is a paid option, and Coachway does not show its price publicly. Ask for a quote before you promise clients "my own app".
What does a coach actually pay for Coachway?
At 5 active clients a coach pays $79 a month; at 15 clients $179; at 40 clients $429, before VAT, payment fees and any other tools. These are calculated examples from the October 2026 price list, not quotes.
| Practice size (example) | Coachway monthly | Coachway yearly | Payment fee on $1,000 via built-in payments | Tools still needed beside it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New coach, 5 active clients | $79 | $948 | $24 plus Stripe | Booking tool for consult calls, website or link page |
| Growing coach, 15 active clients | $179 ($79 + 10 x $10) | $2,148 | $24 plus Stripe | Booking tool, website, email marketing |
| Established coach, 40 active clients | $429 ($79 + 35 x $10) | $5,148 | $24 plus Stripe | Booking tool, website and funnels, email marketing, course or community platform if you sell group programs |
In euros, the same three sizes come to EUR 69, EUR 159 and EUR 384 a month, ex-VAT.
The last column matters as much as the subscription. Coachway does not describe a booking calendar, so a coach who runs discovery calls or monthly video check-ins needs a scheduling tool such as Calendly or Acuity (see our Calendly pricing and Acuity Scheduling pricing breakdowns). There is no website or email marketing described either, so most coaches add a site builder and an email platform such as Kit (Kit pricing). Anyone selling a self-paced course or running a paid group needs a course or community tool on top, for example Kajabi, Circle or Skool.
Run your own numbers before deciding: count active clients today, add the clients you expect in six months, and multiply the extra clients by $10. If you are still setting your own coaching fees, the package pricing calculator helps you check that the software bill stays a small share of revenue.
What hidden costs and gotchas should coaches know?
The main gotchas are that the bill rises with every active client above 5, the trial needs a card, prices exclude VAT, and the standalone app has no public price. None of them is hidden on purpose, but each changes the real cost.
- Per-client pricing punishes growth. Going from 10 to 30 active clients adds $200 a month. Fitness coaches often run a long tail of clients on low-touch app-only plans, and each of them costs the same $10 as a premium client. Our guide to pricing app-only and live-call tiers shows why low-priced tiers need to cover that per-client software cost.
- "Active client" is the unit. Archiving finished clients keeps the bill down, so build an offboarding habit. Check with Coachway how it counts a client who is paused or in a trial week.
- No annual discount. Many fitness apps knock 10% to 20% off for annual billing. Coachway shows only monthly billing, so there is no way to lock a lower rate.
- The trial needs a card. The 14-day trial is "EUR 0 today", but a card is required to start. Coachway sends a billing reminder 3 days before the trial ends, so set your own reminder too.
- VAT on top. Prices are ex-VAT. Whether you pay VAT, or account for it yourself under reverse charge, depends on your country and whether you are VAT-registered. Check with an accountant if you are unsure.
- Currency by IP. The calculator picks a currency from your location. If you invoice clients in dollars but get billed in euros or pounds, exchange-rate moves change your margin.
- 2.4% on built-in payments. Small on one sale, larger across a year. At $5,000 a month through built-in payments it is $120 a month, which is the price of 12 extra client slots.
- Data export is not documented. The pages we checked did not state how to export your client data, beyond meal plans as PDF. Ask before you commit years of client history.
- Few public reviews. Coachway had a Trustpilot score of 4.6 from 22 reviews when we checked on October 27, 2026. That is a small sample, so there is not much public evidence either way about support or reliability.
Is Coachway worth it, by coach type?
Coachway is worth it for small online fitness and nutrition coaches who want every training and meal-planning feature without tiers. It is a weaker fit for coaches who sell calls, courses or groups, and for any coach above roughly 20 active clients who is price-sensitive.
New fitness coach with up to 5 clients
Good value. Every feature for $79 a month is generous at this size. The catch is that you still need a booking tool and somewhere for prospects to find you.
Online personal trainer at 15 to 30 clients
Workable, but compare. At $179 to $329 a month you are paying more than several fitness apps with client-count tiers, such as HubFit (Standard covers up to 50 clients) or Everfit Pro. See our Coachway vs HubFit comparison.
Nutrition coach
The meal planner with macros, allergy filters and 1,100+ recipes is a real strength. Keep scope in mind on any platform: coaching is not medical nutrition therapy. Refer clients with eating disorders, diabetes, kidney disease, pregnancy or other medical conditions to their doctor or a registered dietitian before you change their eating.
Life, business or health coach who sells sessions
Poor fit. Coachway is built around workouts and meal plans, with no booking calendar, courses or community described. A coaching platform built for sessions and programs, like the ones in our Coachway alternatives guide, will cost less in total.
Coach running groups or courses
Poor fit on its own. You would pay Coachway per client and then pay again for a course or community tool.
Small fitness team
Reasonable if your client count is modest. Team roles are included and there is no seat fee, but 3 coaches with 20 clients each means 60 active clients, or $629 a month.

Why do we recommend Coachful instead?
We recommend Coachful because one membership covers the whole client journey, including the parts Coachway leaves to other tools: booking, contracts, courses, community, website, funnels and email. You pay a flat monthly plan rather than a fee for every extra client.
What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform with one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. It covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and Michelle, a built-in AI assistant. Who it is for: coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools. See the pages for fitness coaches and the Fitness & Nutrition pack.
For fitness and nutrition coaches, Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack includes a workout builder with an exercise library of illustrated exercises (supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals, tempo), client workout logging with set history and PRs, nutrition targets up to calories and macros, meal plans, recipes, food lookup and barcode scanning, private progress photos and measurements, weekly check-ins, private form-check video with timestamped coach comments, and challenges. You attach your own demo videos.
Around that, the rest of the business sits in the same account:
- Booking. Booking pages with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync, built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links, and reminders by email, plus SMS and WhatsApp once messaging is enabled. More on our scheduling software page.
- Payments. Through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Coachful has charged a 0% platform fee since August 2026, so you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. See coaching payment software.
- Contracts. Coaching agreements with e-signature, sent before the first call and stored on the client record.
- Programs and check-ins. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goal progress bars and streaks.
- Courses and community. Courses with drip and completion tracking, a community feed, group chat, video events, and cohort groups created automatically when a client enrolls in a program.
- Website, funnels and email. A section-based website builder with 30 designed homepage templates, booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels, and email sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits.
- Teams. Studio and Agency plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions.

Here is a short walkthrough of how programs are built and delivered in Coachful:
What Coachful does not do. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so clinical records and insurance billing belong in a clinical system. It does not support PayPal and has no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. There is no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, Apple Health sync is not publicly available, and there are no stock exercise videos. If wearable sync matters to your coaching, weigh that honestly.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build things for you from Create > We'll build it for you: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, form, link in bio, lead quiz or automation. You describe what you want, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos and brand guides, and the team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Recent anonymized builds show the range. A menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream, with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. A real-estate and money coach got a year-long cohort program with an application form, an eight-page site and a free nine-day bootcamp funnel. A leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button.

How to start. Start a free trial, then use the white-glove build to get your site, program or funnel set up. Your clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.
How does Coachway pricing compare with alternatives?
Coachway is in the middle of the fitness-app pack at 5 clients and near the top by 15 to 40 clients, because its per-client fee is higher than the tiered pricing most competitors use. Here is how it compares, as listed in October 2026.

We rank on total stack cost (software plus the tools you still need), one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, and setup effort.
| Platform | Starting price | Cost at 15 active clients | How price scales | Free plan or trial | Booking, courses, website |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Flat plans; lower plans cap clients, Pro is unlimited | Free trial; free white-glove build | All included in the membership |
| Coachway | $79/month for 5 clients | $179/month | $10 per active client above 5 | 14-day trial, card required | None described |
| ABC Trainerize | $0 (1 client); Pro 5 clients $25/month | Pro 15-client tier (price not captured in our check) | Client tiers at 5, 15, 30, 50, 75, 100, 200 | Free plan; 30-day trial, no card | Scheduling and payments are paid add-ons; no courses or website |
| Everfit | $0 (5 clients); Pro from $19/month | $49/month (20-client tier) | Client-count tiers | Free plan; 30-day trial, no card | No courses, website or email |
| HubFit | $39/month (up to 50 clients) | $39/month | Plans at 50, 100 and more clients | 14-day trial | No booking or website |
| PT Distinction | $19.90/month (3 clients) | $59.90/month (Pro, 25 clients) | Included clients plus per-client overage | 1-month trial | No courses, community or website shown |
| TrueCoach | $26.34/month billed annually (5 clients) | $57.99/month billed annually (20 clients) | Active-client caps | 14-day trial, no card | No booking, courses or website |

Coachful
The best fit if you sell more than workouts: calls, programs, courses, a group or a website that converts. Flat plans mean the bill does not jump with each new client, and the free white-glove build saves setup time. Pick Coachway over Coachful if you only coach fitness and nutrition with a small roster and want its 1,100-recipe meal library ready on day one.
ABC Trainerize
A large fitness app with a free 1-client plan and tiered client pricing. Scheduling, product sales, payments, video and advanced nutrition are separate paid add-ons below Studio Plus. Trainerize had a Trustpilot score of 3.1 from 100 reviews when we checked on October 25, 2026. Pick it over Coachful if you want a long free trial without a card and only need workout delivery.
Everfit
Free for up to 5 clients, then client-count tiers that stay well below Coachway at 20 clients. Automation, payments and meal plans are paid add-ons. Full breakdown in our Everfit pricing guide. Pick it over Coachful if you coach strength training only and want to start on a no-cost 5-client plan.

HubFit
HubFit Standard covers up to 50 clients for $39 a month, which is less than Coachway's base price at any client count up to 50, on subscription alone. Branding and payments start at Premium, and a branded app is a $189 monthly add-on. More in our HubFit pricing guide. Pick it over Coachful if you only need fitness programming for a large roster at the lowest subscription price.

PT Distinction
Included clients plus a small per-client overage ($2.40 on Pro, $1.60 on Master), so it scales more gently than Coachway. The branded client app starts on Pro. Pick it over Coachful if you are a personal trainer who wants a branded workout app and nothing else.
TrueCoach
Strength programming priced by active-client caps, with a 14-day trial and no card. The pricing page shows annual-billed prices. Pick it over Coachful if you program strength training for athletes and want a narrow, focused tool.
Several of these coaches also look at Paperbell, a session-focused coaching tool; our Paperbell pricing guide covers it.
How can you save money on Coachway?
The best ways to save on Coachway are to keep your active-client count lean, avoid the built-in payment fee where you can, and use the trial to confirm it replaces enough tools.
- Archive finished clients promptly. Every inactive client you keep active costs $10 a month.
- Use your own Stripe checkout. Coachway's structured data says the 2.4% fee does not apply to payments through the coach's own Stripe checkout. Confirm this with Coachway for your setup.
- Price your tiers to cover the per-client fee. A low-priced app-only plan still costs $10 a month in software. Our guides to hourly vs package pricing and value-based pricing help set prices that leave margin.
- Ask about free migration. Coachway says that where a move is possible, the move itself is free.
- Plan the trial. Load real programs and two or three real clients in the first week, decide before day 11, and cancel before billing if it does not fit.
- Count the whole stack. Add up booking, website, email and course tools. If the total beats a single all-in-one membership, switch, using our coaching pricing audit as a checklist.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
On every Coachful plan, the Coachful team builds a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or similar inside your account from a short request with your links and files, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing. You start it from Create > We'll build it for you.
Is Coachful a good Coachway alternative for fitness coaches?
Yes, if you want workouts, nutrition and check-ins alongside booking, payments, courses, community and a website in one login, with flat plans instead of a per-client fee. Coachful does not offer Garmin, Fitbit or Whoop sync or stock exercise videos, so check those needs first.
