HoneyBook vs Satori for Coaches: Honest 2026 Comparison

HoneyBook vs Satori comes down to what you sell. HoneyBook is a client-management CRM for service businesses: proposals, contracts, invoices and a scheduler, with payments that must run through HoneyBook's own processing. Satori is a coaching practice tool: scheduling, a client portal, packages, invoices, contracts and an ICF coaching-log export, with pricing that caps how many active clients you can have. If your coaching is mostly paid sessions and you want the simplest coaching-specific admin, Satori fits better. If you sell bigger custom engagements with proposals and you think like a small agency, HoneyBook fits better. Neither one delivers a program between sessions, and that gap is why this comparison ends with a third option.
We make Coachful, a coaching platform, so we have a stake in this. We have kept the HoneyBook and Satori sections to what each vendor documents on its own pages (as listed in October 2026, or September 2026 where only an older profile had the figure) and what public reviewers report. We have not tested either tool hands-on, and we say so wherever it matters.
What is the short answer for each kind of coach?
Pick by the shape of your offer, not by the feature list. Here is the short version before the detail.
- You sell 1:1 session packages and want coaching-specific admin: Satori. It is built around coaching packages, discovery sessions and active clients, and it exports a coaching log for ICF credentialing.
- You sell custom corporate or consulting engagements with proposals: HoneyBook. Its proposal, contract and invoice flow is designed for scoped projects, and it has unlimited clients on every plan.
- You are a coach in training with pro bono clients: Satori's Scholar plan, which Satori describes as for people studying for a coaching certification, with unlimited pro bono clients.
- You want to take PayPal: Satori. It works with PayPal and Stripe. HoneyBook runs payments only through HoneyBook Payments.
- You deliver programs, habits, check-ins, courses or a group between sessions: neither. Both vendors' pages describe admin tools, not delivery tools. That is where Coachful fits, and we cover it honestly further down.
How do HoneyBook and Satori compare side by side?
The criteria behind this ranking: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort (including whether someone will build it for you).
| Tool | Best for | Booking | Payments | Programs, habits, check-ins | Courses and community | Website and funnels |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions | Yes, with two-way Google, Apple and Outlook sync | Your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay, 0% Coachful platform fee | Yes: weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins | Yes: courses with drip, community feed, group chat, cohorts | Yes: site builder, blog, funnels, email sequences |
| Satori | Solo coaches selling session packages | Yes, including discovery sessions | Stripe or PayPal, no Satori charge on client payments | Packages and programs; habits and check-ins not documented | No courses or community (older profile) | No landing pages (older profile) |
| HoneyBook | Service businesses selling scoped projects | Scheduler on Essentials and up | HoneyBook Payments only (cards, ACH) | No coaching delivery | No | Lead forms; no site builder listed on the pricing page |
Read this table as three different jobs. HoneyBook gets a client from inquiry to signed and paid. Satori gets a coaching client from discovery call to booked sessions and invoiced packages. Coachful takes the client from first click through the whole program, including the weeks between calls.
What does HoneyBook do for coaches?
HoneyBook is a CRM for service businesses that handles proposals, contracts, invoices, a scheduler and a client portal. It was not built for coaching specifically, and its own plan list contains nothing for program delivery.

As listed in October 2026, the Starter plan includes invoices and payments, proposals and contracts, a calendar, templates, a client portal, basic reports and HoneyBook AI, with unlimited clients and projects and two live lead forms. Essentials adds the scheduler, automations, QuickBooks Online, SMS reminders, removal of the "Powered by HoneyBook" line, standard reports and up to two team members. Premium adds unlimited team members, unlimited lead forms, multiple companies, priority support and advanced reports.
Two things matter more to coaches than the plan names suggest. First, the scheduler and automations are not on Starter, so a coach who needs a booking link is really looking at Essentials. Second, payments must run through HoneyBook's own processing; you cannot plug in your existing Stripe or PayPal account.
Public reviewers on Trustpilot rate HoneyBook 4.1 from 748 reviews (seen October 25, 2026). For more detail on the tool alone, see our HoneyBook review.
What does Satori do for coaches?
Satori is a coaching practice tool: scheduling, a client portal, packages and programs, invoices and contracts. It is narrower than HoneyBook in business features but closer to how a coach sells sessions.

Satori's pricing counts only active clients toward billing, and each tier caps active clients. The Essentials plan covers up to 10 active paying clients (verified October 2026) and includes booking discovery sessions. Pro adds group coaching and custom branding, and Leader adds dedicated support, according to Satori's older public profile (September 2026). Satori marks Leader as new on its pricing page.
The older profile also notes no native mobile app, no native Zoom integration, and no landing pages, courses or community. Satori offers a coaching-log export for ICF credentialing; a general client-data export was not verified. On ratings, Satori's Trustpilot page existed with zero reviews when checked in October 2026; an older Capterra snapshot showed 4.5 from 13 reviews. See our Satori review for the full picture.
How does HoneyBook vs Satori pricing compare?
On list price, Satori is cheaper at the bottom and HoneyBook is simpler to reason about because it does not cap clients. The real cost depends on how many active clients you carry and what else you still need to buy.
| Tool and plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Client limit | Trial and guarantee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients | Lower plans cap clients; Pro is unlimited (Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients) | A free trial; monthly plans cancel in one click |
| HoneyBook Starter | Not shown on the page | $29 | Unlimited clients; 2 live lead forms | 30 days, no card; 60-day money-back guarantee |
| HoneyBook Essentials | $59 | $49 | Unlimited clients; up to 2 team members | Same |
| HoneyBook Premium | $129 | $109 | Unlimited clients and team members | Same |
| Satori Scholar | $0 | $0 | Unlimited pro bono clients; for coaches studying for certification (apply via form) | Not applicable |
| Satori Essentials | $33 | about $27.50 | Up to 10 active paying clients | 15 days, no card during trial; refund if requested within 30 days of signup |
| Satori Pro | $49 | about $40.83 | 50 active clients (older profile) | Same |
| Satori Leader | $124 | about $103.33 | 150 active clients (older profile) | Same |
Some notes on the figures. HoneyBook's annual prices ($29, $49 and $109 a month) were read on its pricing page in October 2026; the $59 and $129 monthly figures appear there as struck-through "25% off" references, and the page runs time-limited promotions, so the price you see may differ. Starter's monthly-billed price was not shown. HoneyBook raised prices in February 2025, from $19, $39 and $79 to $36, $59 and $129 monthly, according to the older profile.

Satori's dollar amounts are rendered by script and did not appear when the page was checked in October 2026, so the prices above come from its September 2026 profile. Satori advertises annual billing as "Get 2 Months Free"; the annual per-month figures in the table are our arithmetic (monthly price times 10, divided by 12), not numbers Satori prints.

For the long version of each, see HoneyBook pricing in 2026 and Satori pricing in 2026.
What do the payment fees look like?
| Tool | Processor | Card fee | Other |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account | Only Stripe or Razorpay processing; 0% Coachful platform fee | Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe Tax, payment plans, coupons |
| HoneyBook | HoneyBook Payments only | 2.7% + 10¢ in the FAQ, 2.9% + 25¢ in the plan comparison (the page conflicts) | ACH 1.5%; instant deposit 1%; Premium accounts over $500k a year may qualify for discounted rates |
| Satori | Stripe or PayPal | No Satori charge; standard Stripe and PayPal fees apply | None listed |
A worked example: 15 active clients
Here is an illustrative example, not a quote. Say you coach 15 active paying clients and bill monthly.
- Satori: 15 is over the Essentials cap of 10, so you would need Pro, listed at $49 a month (older profile).
- HoneyBook: Starter has no scheduler, so a coach who books sessions realistically needs Essentials at $59 a month, or $49 a month billed annually.
- Either tool: you still need somewhere to run courses, a community, habit tracking or a website, which adds a second or third subscription.
- Coachful: the plan that covers 15 clients is here: Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients. That one plan includes the booking, payments, programs, courses, community and website.
The comparison that matters is the total stack, not the sticker on one tool.
How do booking and scheduling compare?
Satori includes booking on every paid plan, including discovery sessions on Essentials. HoneyBook includes its scheduler only from Essentials up, so Starter users need another booking tool.
For coaches, the details that matter are reminders, video links and time zones. HoneyBook's Essentials plan lists SMS reminders. Satori's older profile notes no native Zoom integration, so you may paste meeting links yourself. Neither vendor's pricing page lists round-robin booking for a team of coaches.
Coachful's booking pages include availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync. Sessions can use built-in video or an auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams link, with email reminders plus SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions or session credits and ask intake questions at booking. More on our scheduling software page.

How do contracts, invoices and payments compare?
HoneyBook is strongest here. Its proposal-to-contract-to-invoice flow is the core of the product. Satori covers contracts and invoices for coaching packages, which is enough for most solo coaches.
The main difference is the payment rail. HoneyBook requires HoneyBook Payments; you cannot bring PayPal or your own Stripe account. Satori lets you use Stripe or PayPal and adds no fee of its own. If many of your clients pay by PayPal, that alone may decide it.
HoneyBook also connects to QuickBooks Online on Essentials and up, which bookkeepers like. HoneyBook offers add-ons Satori does not, such as HoneyBook Capital loans (eligibility-based) and a HoneyBook Balance checking account.
In Coachful, payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax. Every transaction gets an invoice, and you can send manual invoices. Coaching agreements are signed electronically before the first call and stored on the client record. Coachful does not support PayPal, so a coach whose clients insist on PayPal should weigh that. See coaching contracts and our guide to invoicing coaching clients without HoneyBook.

Can either tool deliver a coaching program between sessions?
Not in any real sense. HoneyBook's own notes describe no coaching delivery: no programs, courses, habits, check-ins or community. Satori has packages and programs for selling and scheduling sessions, but its older profile lists no courses or community, and habits or daily check-ins are not documented.
This matters more than it sounds. Most coaching results happen between calls: the client doing the work, tracking a habit, answering a check-in, watching a lesson. If your tool stops at "session booked, invoice paid", you end up adding a course platform, a community app, a habit tracker and a form tool. Each one is another login for your client.

Coachful was built for this part. Coaches build multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Courses with modules, drip and completion tracking, plus downloads, videos and events, all appear in the client's branded home and app. A community feed, group chat and direct messages sit in the same place, and enrolling in a program creates the cohort group automatically.
Here is a short walkthrough of how programs are built in Coachful:

How do client records, reporting and ICF hours compare?
HoneyBook gives you a contact record with projects, files and payments, and reports from basic to advanced depending on plan. Satori keeps coaching-specific records and offers a coaching-log export for ICF credentialing, which is a real plus for coaches working toward ACC or PCC.
On data export, the older profiles say HoneyBook exports contacts and clients to CSV, but its smart files and templates do not leave in a reusable format. Satori's general client-data export was not verified. If you might switch later, ask each vendor exactly what leaves with you. Our guides to migrating from HoneyBook and migrating from Satori walk through it.
Coachful's client record holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions, with an AI briefing per client and a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. Its ICF credential tracking counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours (ICF hour tracking). You can export full client data as a ZIP at any time.

What does the client experience feel like in each?
In HoneyBook, the client mostly meets you through a proposal, a contract to sign, an invoice to pay and a client portal for files. It is clean for a transaction and thin for an ongoing relationship. On lower plans, the "Powered by HoneyBook" line stays visible until Essentials.
In Satori, the client gets a portal to book sessions, see packages and handle invoices. Custom branding sits on Pro according to the older profile, and there is no native mobile app, so clients use the browser.
In Coachful, the client has one branded home and app (your branding, inside the Coachful app) where they see the next session, today's tasks and habits, check-ins, courses, the community and messages. That is the main difference a client feels: one place to go every day, rather than a portal they open once a month to pay.

The trade-offs are real, too. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. And Coachful does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura.
What about websites, lead capture and marketing?
HoneyBook provides lead forms (two live forms on Starter, ten on Essentials, unlimited on Premium) and automations from Essentials up. Satori's older profile lists no landing pages. Neither documents a coaching website builder or email marketing on its pricing page, so most coaches pair either one with a separate site and email tool.
Coachful includes a section-based website builder with a blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates, plus booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixel and UTM tracking. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits are built in, as is a social planner that schedules posts to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and YouTube. Instagram automations can reply to a keyword comment with your booking link or lead magnet in a DM. See the coach website builder.

Which should you pick: HoneyBook or Satori?
Pick Satori if you are a solo coach selling session packages, you want coaching language throughout, you need PayPal, or you are in training and qualify for the Scholar plan. Pick HoneyBook if your coaching looks like consulting: custom scoped engagements, proposals, a bookkeeper on QuickBooks, and maybe a second team member.
| Your situation | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful: you run programs, groups or courses and want one login | Coachful | Booking, payments, programs, habits, check-ins, courses, community and website in one membership |
| Coach in training with pro bono clients | Satori | Scholar plan for coaches studying for certification |
| Solo coach, under 10 paying clients, session packages only | Satori | Essentials covers up to 10 active paying clients |
| Clients who need to pay by PayPal | Satori | Stripe and PayPal supported |
| Executive or business coach selling custom engagements | HoneyBook | Proposal, contract and invoice flow built for scoped projects |
| Coach whose bookkeeper uses QuickBooks Online | HoneyBook | QuickBooks Online on Essentials and up |
| Coach with many clients who rarely book | HoneyBook | Unlimited clients on every plan, no active-client cap |

The third option: when does Coachful beat both, and when does it not?
Coachful beats both when your coaching continues between calls. If you deliver multi-week programs, run groups, sell a course, or want clients checking in daily, Coachful replaces HoneyBook or Satori plus the three or four tools you would otherwise add around it.
What Coachful is. Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and the client has one branded app.
Who it is for. Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; and coaches replacing four to six tools. Team plans (Studio and Agency) add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions, and multi-coach session types can use round-robin or least-busy assignment.

What else is included. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: she builds programs, drafts emails and content, summarizes recorded sessions, briefs you before sessions, and can give optional private feedback on your coaching against ICF Core Competencies 3 to 8. Questions and planning are included in the membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. An AI Coach, a version of you that you configure, can chat with selected clients between sessions. There are more than 40 ready-to-film program templates, 48 course templates with quizzes and about 25 funnel templates. Integrations include Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Stripe, Razorpay, Zapier, Meta Pixel and GA4.
Where HoneyBook or Satori is the better choice. Be honest with yourself about these:
- You need PayPal. Coachful supports Stripe Connect and Razorpay, not PayPal. Satori supports PayPal.
- You are a certification student who only needs pro bono session admin. Satori's Scholar plan costs nothing, and Coachful has no permanent no-cost plan.
- You run a multi-stage sales pipeline for a large team or need a Salesforce or HubSpot integration. Coachful has neither.
- You want routing forms that pick a host from form answers. Coachful does not have them.
- Your work is project-based consulting where proposals matter more than programs. HoneyBook's proposal flow is its strength.
- You need HIPAA compliance. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so clinical records belong in a clinical system.
- You want your own App Store listing. Coachful's client app carries your branding inside the Coachful app.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can ask the Coachful team to build things for you inside your own account. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you", describe what you want (a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, form, lead quiz or automation, among others), and attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as your logo, photos and existing copy. The team usually delivers within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Some recent builds, anonymized: a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. A business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a start-up-guide lead funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. A real-estate and money coach got a year-long cohort program with an application form, an eight-page site and a nine-day bootcamp funnel. Read more about the free white-glove service.
How to start. Start a free trial, then request the white-glove build for whatever you would otherwise spend a weekend on. If you are coming from HoneyBook or Satori, your clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.

How hard is it to switch from either tool?
Switching is mostly a data question. From HoneyBook, contacts export to CSV, but smart files and templates do not come out in a reusable format (older profile), so plan to rebuild proposals and contracts. From Satori, the ICF coaching log exports; check what else you can export before you cancel.
A safe order: export everything you can, keep the old account read-only for one billing cycle, move active clients first, then move past clients and templates. Tell clients one date when the new booking link goes live. With Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and you can ask the white-glove team to rebuild your website or funnels. Frequently asked questions
Is HoneyBook or Satori better for life coaches?
For a life coach selling session packages, Satori is usually the closer fit because it is built around coaching packages and active clients. HoneyBook is better if you sell custom engagements with proposals. If your life coaching includes programs, habits or a group, both leave a gap; see our HoneyBook alternatives for life coaches.
Is Satori cheaper than HoneyBook?
At the entry level, yes. Satori Essentials was listed at $33 a month (September 2026 profile) against HoneyBook Essentials at $59 monthly or $49 billed annually. But Satori caps active clients (10 on Essentials), while HoneyBook has no client cap, so a coach with many clients may pay more on Satori.
Does HoneyBook have a free plan?
No. HoneyBook offers a 30-day free trial with no credit card, as listed in October 2026, and a 60-day money-back guarantee. Satori has a no-cost Scholar plan for coaches studying for certification, plus a 15-day trial on paid plans.
Can I use PayPal with HoneyBook?
No. HoneyBook runs payments only through HoneyBook Payments (cards and ACH). Satori supports Stripe and PayPal. Coachful supports your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, not PayPal.
Which tool is better for ICF credentialing?
Satori offers a coaching-log export for ICF credentialing; HoneyBook does not list one. Coachful tracks coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours.
Does either tool support group coaching?
Satori lists group coaching on Pro according to its older profile, though it lists no community feature. HoneyBook has no group coaching features. Coachful includes a community feed, group chat, video events and cohort groups created automatically when clients enroll in a program; see group coaching software.
Does Satori have a mobile app?
Satori's older profile notes no native mobile app, so clients use the browser. HoneyBook's pricing page does not list a client app. Coachful gives clients a branded app inside the Coachful app.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
On every Coachful plan, the team will build a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence or similar inside your account from your brief, usually within about 24 hours. It does not invent credentials, testimonials or prices, and it does not cover video recording, logo design or ad management.
Can I move my clients from HoneyBook or Satori to Coachful?
Yes. Export what each tool allows (contacts as CSV from HoneyBook, the coaching log from Satori), and during Coachful onboarding your clients, programs and content are imported for you. Our Satori migration guide covers the steps in order.
