LearnWorlds vs Ruzuku (2026): Which Suits Coaches?

LearnWorlds vs Ruzuku (2026): Which Suits Coaches?

In the learnworlds vs ruzuku decision, the short answer is this: LearnWorlds is the stronger course and learning business platform (interactive video, SCORM, certificates, funnels, a large integration list), while Ruzuku is the simpler, cheaper-to-start course platform with a genuine free plan, 0% transaction fees on every tier and live video meetings built in. Neither is built for 1:1 coaching. Neither gives you a native booking calendar tied to client records, and neither tracks client habits or daily check-ins. If most of your income comes from courses, pick between them on the points below. If most of it comes from coaching clients, a coaching platform will likely serve you better than either.

This guide compares the two on price, fees, course tools, live sessions, community, mobile access and the client experience, using what each vendor lists on its own pages in October 2026 and what public reviewers report. We make Coachful, so we include it at the end as a third option and say plainly when it beats both and when it does not.

What is the short answer by use case?

Pick by what you sell most. Courses at scale point to LearnWorlds, a small first course on a tight budget points to Ruzuku, and coaching programs with sessions, habits and check-ins point to a coaching platform.

  • You sell a self-paced course to hundreds of learners and want certificates, quizzes and interactive video: LearnWorlds. Its Pro Trainer plan adds learning paths, certificates, interactive video and more than 50 integrations, as listed in October 2026.
  • You are testing your first course with a handful of people: Ruzuku. Its Free plan allows up to 5 students enrolled at a time with no card, and it keeps 0% transaction fees on every plan.
  • You run a live cohort course with weekly calls and discussion: Ruzuku leans this way, with live meetings, community discussions and direct messaging on every plan.
  • You need corporate training features such as SCORM, LTI or client groups: LearnWorlds, specifically Learning Center or Corporate.
  • You coach clients 1:1 or in small groups and sell programs, not just courses: neither fits well. A coaching platform such as Coachful puts booking, payments, contracts, programs, habits, check-ins, courses and community behind one login.

If you have already decided you want a course platform and are weighing LearnWorlds against others, our LearnWorlds alternatives and Ruzuku alternatives roundups cover the wider field.

How do LearnWorlds and Ruzuku compare side by side?

LearnWorlds offers more depth for courses and marketing; Ruzuku offers lower friction and fewer fees. The table puts both next to Coachful, ranked by what matters most to a coach: one login for the whole client journey, delivery between sessions, total stack cost, and setup effort.

LearnWorlds holds a Trustpilot score of 4.8 from 423 reviews (seen October 25, 2026). Ruzuku shows a G2 badge of 4.4 on its site; the review count could not be verified, and its Trustpilot profile had no reviews when checked.

How does LearnWorlds pricing compare with Ruzuku pricing?

Ruzuku is cheaper to start and has no platform fee anywhere, while LearnWorlds is cheaper at the low end but charges $5 per paid enrollment on Starter. Above the entry tier, both cluster around $99 a month, and the jump to white-labeling costs more on LearnWorlds.

All prices are as listed in October 2026. LearnWorlds shows a dollar sign without naming the currency and excludes VAT, which is added for EU customers without a VAT number. Ruzuku lists prices in US dollars. Card processing through Stripe or PayPal (typically 2.9% + $0.30) applies on both platforms.

When does the LearnWorlds enrollment fee matter?

It matters as soon as you sell more than a few enrollments a month. As an illustrative example: 20 paid enrollments in a month on Starter would add $100 in LearnWorlds fees to the $29 plan, for $129 in total, which is more than Pro Trainer at $99 with no enrollment fee. Once you expect to pass roughly 14 paid enrollments a month, Pro Trainer is the cheaper LearnWorlds plan. Our LearnWorlds pricing breakdown works through more scenarios.

When does Ruzuku's Free plan stop working?

It stops working when you need more than 5 students enrolled at the same time or want to send course invitations by email. At that point Core at $99 a month is the next step, and custom domain, white-label branding and certificates wait until Pro at $199. That makes branding the expensive part of Ruzuku: a coach who wants their own domain pays $199 a month, against $99 for LearnWorlds Pro Trainer, which already lists own-domain courses from Starter. See our Ruzuku pricing guide for the annual math and the nonprofit discount.

What about trials and refunds?

LearnWorlds offers a 30-day free trial with core features and says no credit card is required; a school that is not upgraded is scheduled for deletion. Ruzuku has no time-limited trial because the Free plan does that job, and it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on paid subscriptions. Ruzuku also keeps your courses, students and sales history if you downgrade or cancel.

Which has better course-building tools?

LearnWorlds has the deeper course toolkit. Ruzuku covers the essentials well for a coach who wants a clean course with video, quizzes and discussion, but it does not try to match LearnWorlds on interactive learning or corporate training standards.

LearnWorlds course tools

As listed in October 2026, LearnWorlds includes an AI course builder and AI quizzes from Starter, with monthly AI credits (300, 500 or 1,000 by plan). Pro Trainer adds unlimited courses, learning paths, certificates, bundles and interactive video. SCORM packages are capped at 20 on Pro Trainer and unlimited on Learning Center, which also adds LTI 1.3. These are the tools a training company or a coach selling to organisations tends to ask for. Our LearnWorlds review covers the builder in more detail.

Ruzuku course tools

Ruzuku's course builder handles video, audio, downloads, quizzes and discussions, with drip release by enrollment date or by fixed dates. Video uploads go up to 2 GB each on Free and Core and 4 GB on Pro, with unlimited video hosting on every plan. Certificates of completion, co-teacher courses and AI transcription and captions are Pro features. With fewer options than LearnWorlds, it suits a coach who would rather spend time teaching than configuring. Our Ruzuku review has the full feature list.

How do live sessions and 1:1 coaching work on each?

Ruzuku has built-in live video meetings; LearnWorlds lists live 1:1 and group sessions. Neither offers the booking calendar, intake questions and client record that most coaches need for 1:1 work.

Ruzuku's built-in meetings support up to 60 people in a conference format or 250 in a presentation format, and it integrates with Zoom, with Zoom recording integration on Pro. Its own coaching page says clients schedule 1:1 time through your own calendar tool, so you would add a separate scheduler. LearnWorlds lists live 1:1 and group sessions from Starter. What neither documents on the pages checked is a full coaching back office: availability rules and buffers, intake questions on booking, session credits, coaching agreements and a client record that holds notes, goals and payments together.

For a course creator who runs a monthly group Q&A, that gap is minor. For a coach whose income is 1:1 packages, it means paying for and stitching together a scheduler, an e-signature tool and somewhere to keep client notes.

How do community and engagement compare?

Ruzuku puts community discussions and direct messaging on every plan, including Free. LearnWorlds focuses more on course engagement tools and marketing, with community available but not its main draw.

Ruzuku's discussions sit inside each course, which works well for cohort courses where people move through material together. LearnWorlds leans on interactive video, quizzes, certificates and learning paths to keep learners moving. Neither offers the per-client engagement a coach watches for: who has stopped checking in, whose habit streak broke, which client is going quiet. That is the line between a course platform and a coaching platform. The group coaching software page covers what cohort tools look like when they are built for coaching.

Which has better marketing, payments and integrations?

LearnWorlds has more marketing tools; Ruzuku has simpler, fee-free payments. If you need funnels, mass email and affiliates in the same tool as your course, LearnWorlds wins. If you want to sell with no platform cut at all, Ruzuku wins.

  • Funnels and email: LearnWorlds Pro Trainer includes 15 page funnels and 2,000 mass emails a month; Learning Center raises that to unlimited funnels and 5,000 emails, with automations and scheduled reports. Ruzuku offers sales pages and, on Pro, a public storefront and digital product sales.
  • Payment options: both connect your own Stripe and PayPal accounts. LearnWorlds adds subscriptions, memberships and payment plans from Pro Trainer. Ruzuku supports one-time payments, subscriptions and installment plans on every plan.
  • Affiliates: LearnWorlds has basic affiliates on Pro Trainer and advanced affiliates on Learning Center. Ruzuku does not list an affiliate program.
  • Integrations and tracking: LearnWorlds lists more than 50 integrations from Pro Trainer. Ruzuku offers Meta Pixel and Google Analytics on Pro.
  • Team: LearnWorlds allows 1, 5 or 25 admins by plan. Ruzuku Pro adds multiple instructor accounts.

If funnels and email are a deciding factor, compare our LearnWorlds vs ClickFunnels and LearnWorlds vs Kajabi breakdowns too.

What is the client experience like on LearnWorlds and Ruzuku?

On both, your client is a learner: they log in, open a course and work through lessons. That is the right experience for a course, and a thin one for coaching, where clients also need their sessions, tasks, habits and messages in one place.

On LearnWorlds, learners use your school website on your own domain, and a branded mobile app is a separately priced add-on (the price is not shown on the pricing page). Full white-label branding is on Learning Center. On Ruzuku, students use the mobile web and can add the site to their home screen as a progressive web app; there is no native iOS or Android app. Ruzuku does include tech support for your students on every plan, which takes "I can't log in" emails off the coach's plate.

What a coaching client would still need elsewhere on both: a place to book and reschedule sessions, a daily check-in, a habit tracker, a view of their goals and progress, and the agreement they signed. Each extra tool means another login for the client and another bill for you.

Is there a third option that beats both for coaches?

Yes, if coaching rather than course sales is the core of your business. Coachful is a coaching platform that includes courses, so you do not have to choose between a course tool and a coaching tool.

What Coachful is and who it is for

Coachful is a coaching platform. One subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login and the client has one branded app. It is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and holds a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 21 reviews.

Where Coachful beats both LearnWorlds and Ruzuku

  • Booking that knows your clients. Booking pages with availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection; two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook calendar sync; built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links; intake questions on booking; paid sessions and session credits. Email reminders are included, plus SMS (24 hours before) and WhatsApp (1 hour before) once messaging is enabled.
  • Delivery between sessions. Multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Neither course platform offers this.
  • A client record that shows who needs you. Goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments and sessions in one place, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk and an AI briefing per client.
  • Agreements before the first call. Coaching agreements with e-signature, stored on the client record.
  • Courses too. Modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, plus downloads, videos, books, events and bundles, all delivered into the client's branded home and app.
  • No platform cut. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with a 0% Coachful platform fee since August 2026: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • Templates and AI. More than 40 ready-to-film program templates and 48 course templates with quizzes. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data to build programs, draft emails, summarize recorded sessions and brief you before sessions.

Where LearnWorlds or Ruzuku is the better choice

Coachful is not the right pick for every course creator. Be clear about these limits before you switch:

  • Pick LearnWorlds over Coachful if you sell training to companies and need SCORM, LTI, interactive video or certificates, or you run a course business with thousands of learners and little 1:1 work.
  • Pick Ruzuku over Coachful if you want to pay nothing at all while a tiny first course takes shape, or you need PayPal checkout. Coachful offers neither a permanent no-cost tier nor PayPal.
  • Coachful is not a course marketplace, not a general website builder for non-coaching sites, and has no third-party plugins.
  • It is not HIPAA-certified (no BAA), so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing.
  • The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.
  • The affiliate program is partial: it tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue, but payouts are recorded manually rather than sent by Coachful.

How do you start with Coachful?

Start with a free trial, then ask the team to build your setup for you. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and you can export full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses) at any time. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, choose "We'll build it for you · FREE" and describe what you want: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, form, link in bio, lead quiz or webinar. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files such as logos, photos, brand guides and copy. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Recent builds give a sense of scope. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. A business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a free start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. A real-estate and money coach got a year-long cohort program with an application form, an eight-page site and a free nine-day bootcamp funnel. Read more in how the free white-glove service works.

Coaches moving from a course platform usually want to see how courses and coaching fit together; the online course platform for coaches and coaching software pages show both, and our comparison hub lists more matchups.

How hard is it to switch between these platforms?

Moving students is easier than moving courses. Ruzuku exports student data to CSV, according to its features page, but course content export is not stated. LearnWorlds does not document data export on the pages checked, though it offers done-for-you migration on request.

Before you commit to either, check three things: whether you can download your student list, whether your videos live somewhere you control, and how payment subscriptions move if you change processors. Both platforms connect your own Stripe and PayPal accounts, so check with your payment provider how active subscriptions carry over before you move them.

What is the final verdict on LearnWorlds vs Ruzuku?

For a course business, LearnWorlds is the more capable platform and Ruzuku is the more affordable, lower-friction one. For a coaching business, both leave the core of the work (booking, client records, between-session accountability) to other tools.

Choose LearnWorlds if you want interactive learning, certificates, funnels and corporate training features, and move to Pro Trainer as soon as enrollment fees add up. Choose Ruzuku if you want to start free, keep 0% fees, run live cohorts and have student support handled for you, and accept that branding costs $199 a month. Choose Coachful if your clients need you between sessions and you would rather run one platform than six.

Frequently asked questions

Is LearnWorlds or Ruzuku better for coaches?

For coaches who mainly sell courses, LearnWorlds is better for depth and marketing, and Ruzuku is better for a low-cost, fee-free start. For coaches who mainly work with clients 1:1 or in programs, neither is built for it, since neither offers native booking tied to client records, habits or check-ins. A coaching platform such as Coachful covers those and includes courses.

Is Ruzuku really free?

Ruzuku's Free plan is listed as free forever with no credit card, as of October 2026. It allows up to 5 students enrolled at a time, unlimited courses and video hosting, and 0% transaction fees. Email course invitations need a paid plan.

Does LearnWorlds charge transaction fees?

LearnWorlds charges $5 per paid enrollment on Starter. Pro Trainer and higher plans have no LearnWorlds fee. Stripe or PayPal processing fees apply on every plan.

Which is cheaper, LearnWorlds or Ruzuku?

Ruzuku is cheaper to start because its Free plan costs nothing. LearnWorlds Starter at $29 a month is cheaper than Ruzuku Core at $99, but the $5 enrollment fee can make it more expensive once sales pick up. For a custom domain and branding, LearnWorlds is cheaper, because Ruzuku requires Pro at $199 a month.

Do LearnWorlds and Ruzuku have mobile apps?

LearnWorlds offers a branded mobile app as a separately priced add-on. Ruzuku has no native iOS or Android app; students use the mobile web and can add it to their home screen. Coachful clients use your branding inside the Coachful app.

Can I book 1:1 coaching sessions in LearnWorlds or Ruzuku?

Ruzuku says clients schedule 1:1 time through your own calendar tool, so you would need a separate scheduler. LearnWorlds lists live 1:1 and group sessions, but it is not built around 1:1 client management. Coachful includes booking pages, calendar sync, intake questions and session credits.

Does either platform offer a free trial?

LearnWorlds offers a 30-day free trial and says no credit card is required. Ruzuku does not offer a time-limited trial because its Free plan fills that role, and it has a 30-day money-back guarantee on paid plans.

What is Coachful's free white-glove service?

It is a build service included on every Coachful plan. You describe the website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or other asset you want, attach references and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include recording videos, logo design or ad management.

Can I sell courses in Coachful instead of LearnWorlds or Ruzuku?

Yes. Coachful includes courses with modules, lessons, drip and completion tracking, along with downloads, videos, events and bundles, delivered into the client's branded home and app. It is not a course marketplace, and SCORM and interactive video are not among its documented features, so training companies may still prefer LearnWorlds.
