Practice Better vs Satori: Which Fits Your Coaching in 2026?

Practice Better vs Satori comes down to what kind of practice you run. Practice Better is practice management for wellness and nutrition practitioners: charting, telehealth, forms, billing and a client portal. Satori is a lighter tool for life, business and executive coaches who sell session packages and want booking, invoices and contracts in one place. If you chart like a clinician, Practice Better fits better. If you sell coaching packages and want something simple, Satori fits better. If your clients need support between sessions, a third option may suit you more than either, and we cover it near the end.
We make Coachful, so read our comparison with that in mind. Every vendor fact below comes from the vendors' own pricing pages as listed in October 2026, or from our earlier profile of each tool in September 2026 where a page did not show a figure. We have not run either product in a live practice; where we describe weaknesses, we say what the vendor documents or what public reviewers report.
What is the short answer by use case?
Pick Practice Better if you are a nutritionist, dietitian, naturopath or functional health practitioner who needs charting, telehealth and add-ons like ePrescribe. Pick Satori if you are a life or business coach with a small roster of paying clients who buy packages and you want the shortest path to booking and invoicing.
- You keep clinical-style notes and charts: Practice Better. It ships note templates, an AI Charting Assistant add-on, fax, ePrescribe and PDMP add-ons, none of which Satori offers.
- You sell 3-month or 6-month coaching packages to individuals: Satori. Its whole model is packages, booking, invoices and contracts, and it bills only for active clients.
- You are studying for a coaching credential: Satori's free Scholar plan is built for that, and it exports a coaching log for ICF credentialing.
- You run group or self-paced programs: Practice Better, but only from Professional (fixed-date programs) or Plus (evergreen programs). Satori's group coaching starts on Pro.
- You want PayPal: Satori. It supports PayPal and Stripe; Practice Better uses its own Stripe-powered payments.
- You want a website, funnels, courses, community and habit tracking in the same login: neither. That is where Coachful comes in.
How do Practice Better and Satori compare side by side?
Ranked on one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort, Coachful leads, with Practice Better and Satori trading places depending on your niche.
| Tool | Built for | Free plan | Trial | Payments | Website and funnels | Courses and community |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who deliver programs, solo to small team | No permanent free plan | A free trial | Your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay; 0% platform fee | Yes: website builder, funnels, email sequences | Yes: courses, community feed, group chat, cohorts |
| Practice Better | Wellness and nutrition practitioners | Sprout: 3 clients | 30 days on Team, 14 days on other paid plans | Practice Better Payments (Stripe) | No website builder or funnel pages (our September profile) | Programs from Professional; no community feed documented |
| Satori | Life, business and executive coaches | Scholar: for coaches studying for certification | 15 days, no card during the trial | PayPal and Stripe; no Satori fee | No landing pages (our September profile) | No courses or community (our September profile) |
The table hides one big difference in philosophy. Practice Better assumes you are running a health practice and need records, forms and compliance-adjacent features. Satori assumes you are running a coaching business and need to sell packages cleanly. Neither assumes your clients need a daily place to do the work between calls.

How does Practice Better vs Satori pricing compare?
Satori is cheaper at small rosters, Practice Better is cheaper once you pass 150 clients, and both cap clients on their lower plans. Practice Better's prices below are as listed in October 2026. Satori's dollar amounts did not render on its pricing page when it was checked in October 2026, so its figures are from our September 2026 profile; the trial, guarantee, fee terms and the Essentials cap were confirmed in October.
| Tool and plan | Monthly | Billed annually (per month) | Client limit | Notable inclusions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Flat monthly plans; monthly plans cancel in one click | Lower plans cap clients; Pro is unlimited | Booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, website, email, AI assistant |
| Practice Better Sprout | $0 | $0 | 3 clients, 1 practitioner, 100 MB | For students and new practitioners |
| Practice Better Starter | $35 | $25 | 10 clients, 1 GB | Scheduling, telehealth, billing, messaging, portal, forms, 20+ integrations |
| Practice Better Professional | $69 | $59 | 300 clients, 5 GB | Group scheduling, fixed-date programs, deposits, payment plans, Zapier |
| Practice Better Plus | $99 | $89 | Unlimited clients, 3 admins | Evergreen programs, portal branding, personalized URL, 750 SMS per month |
| Practice Better Team | $155 | $145 | 2 practitioners (up to 200 at $50 each) | Roles, team scheduling, team chat, advanced workflows, 2,000 SMS per month |
| Satori Scholar | $0 | $0 | Unlimited pro-bono clients; apply via form | For coaches studying for certification |
| Satori Essentials | $33 | about $27.50 | Up to 10 active paying clients | Booking discovery sessions, launch foundation |
| Satori Pro | $49 | about $40.83 | 50 active clients, 10 programs, 120 bookings | Group coaching, custom branding |
| Satori Leader | $124 | about $103.33 | 150 active clients, 50 programs, unlimited bookings | Dedicated support |
Two notes on the fine print. Satori's annual offer is "Get 2 Months Free", so the annual per-month figures above are our arithmetic (monthly times 10, divided by 12), not printed prices. Practice Better's page is internally inconsistent on Professional: the card says "Save $84/year", which implies about $62 per month, while the table shows $59.

What do the add-ons cost?
Practice Better has a long add-on list; Satori lists none. As listed in October 2026, Practice Better charges for:
- AI Charting Assistant: $10, $20 or $40 per practitioner per month (1,200, 3,600 or 7,200 minutes), then 2 cents per extra minute.
- Connector Hub: $49 per month (Plus and Team).
- ePrescribe: $49 per month plus $99 one-time onboarding per prescriber; PDMP: $5 per month plus $399 onboarding (requires ePrescribe).
- SMS: 5 cents per text beyond the plan allowance; fax: 10 cents per page.
- Additional admin: $10 per month (Plus and Team); additional practitioner: $50 per month (Team); extra storage: $1 per GB per month (Professional, up to 30 GB).
Satori charges nothing on client payments; standard PayPal and Stripe fees apply. Practice Better states no platform fee and runs payments through Stripe, but its processing rates are not listed on the pricing page.

What would three example practices pay?
These are illustrative rosters, not customer data, using monthly billing and the lowest plan that fits.
| Tool | 15 active clients | 40 active clients | 200 active clients |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients |
| Practice Better | Professional, $69 (Starter caps at 10) | Professional, $69 | Professional, $69 (Plus at $99 for evergreen programs) |
| Satori | Pro, $49 (Essentials caps at 10) | Pro, $49 | Not possible on one plan (Leader caps at 150) |
The subscription is only part of the bill. Neither Practice Better nor Satori builds your website, runs your email list, hosts a course or gives clients a community, so most coaches on either tool also pay for a site builder, an email tool, possibly a course host and a group space. Add those to the column before you compare. Our Practice Better pricing breakdown and Satori pricing guide work through those totals in more detail.
How do scheduling and booking compare?
Both tools handle client booking; Practice Better goes further with telehealth video and group scheduling, while Satori focuses on discovery calls and package sessions. Practice Better includes scheduling and telehealth video from Starter, adds group scheduling on Professional and team scheduling on Team. Satori includes booking of discovery sessions on Essentials and caps bookings on lower plans (120 on Pro, unlimited on Leader, per our September profile). Our September profile also noted that Satori had no native Zoom integration, so check that if your clients expect a Zoom link in every confirmation.
For comparison, Coachful's booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync and either built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp one hour before once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions and session credits and ask intake questions at booking.

How do payments, invoices and contracts compare?
Satori is more flexible on processors (PayPal and Stripe), while Practice Better unlocks deposits and payment plans only from Professional. Satori bundles invoices and contracts into its core package workflow, which is the reason many life coaches pick it. Practice Better's billing is built around appointments and packages for health practices, with Practice Better Payments powered by Stripe.
Coachful runs payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account with a 0% platform fee, so you pay only processing. It supports one-time payments, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Tax, with an invoice per transaction plus manual invoices. Coaching agreements with e-signature go out before the first call and stay on the client record. Coachful does not support PayPal, so if your clients pay by PayPal, Satori has the edge there. See coaching payment software and coaching contracts for how that works.

How do programs and between-session work compare?
Practice Better has real program tools on its higher plans; Satori's programs are closer to packages with sessions and resources. Practice Better adds fixed-date programs on Professional and evergreen, self-paced programs and program templates on Plus. Satori counts programs as a plan limit (3, 10 or 50 depending on tier, per our September profile) and treats them as the container for a client's package.
Neither tool documents habit tracking with streaks, morning and evening check-ins or goal progress bars as part of the client's daily routine. That is the gap that matters most if your results come from what clients do between calls. In Coachful, a multi-week program carries weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Clients see it in their branded home and app, and you see their status on the client record as thriving, active, quiet or at risk.

Here is a short walkthrough of how programs are built in Coachful:
How do notes, records and compliance compare?
Practice Better is clearly stronger for records: it ships note templates, forms, an AI charting add-on, fax, ePrescribe and PDMP. If you work with health data under clinical rules, that matters more than anything else in this article. Satori keeps client notes and session history for coaching, which is what most life and business coaches need.
If you handle protected health information, read the official guidance from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on who counts as a covered entity before choosing software, and check with an attorney if you are unsure. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so clinical record-keeping and insurance billing belong in a clinical system. Coaching is not medical treatment. If a client describes symptoms, a diagnosis or a medication question, refer them to their doctor or a licensed clinician. Our guide to the Practice Better EHR explains when a coach actually needs one.
How does the client experience compare?
Practice Better gives clients a portal for forms, messages, bookings and programs, with portal branding and a personalized URL from Plus. Satori gives clients a portal for sessions, packages, invoices and contracts, but our September profile found no native mobile app, so clients use it in a browser.

Think about what a client opens on a Tuesday when they have no call that week. In Practice Better, that is usually a form, a program step or a message. In Satori, it is mostly their upcoming session and documents. Our Practice Better client portal guide shows what clients see in more detail, and the Satori review covers its portal.
In Coachful, the client opens one branded home with their next session, the tasks due before it, their habits, check-ins, goals, courses and the community. The client app carries your branding inside the Coachful app; it is not listed under your own App Store account.

How do reviews and support compare?
Practice Better has a larger public review base; Satori has very few public reviews. As seen on October 25, 2026, Practice Better had a Trustpilot score of 3.8 from 87 reviews. Satori's Trustpilot page had no reviews, and our September profile recorded a Capterra rating of 4.5 from 13 reviews. Small samples like these say little on their own, so read the most recent reviews for the features you depend on. Satori's Leader plan includes dedicated support; Practice Better's Team plan adds managed billing and team reporting.
How do data export and switching compare?
Practice Better documents a per-client archive (notes, invoices and forms) that is emailed and kept for 48 hours, a contact list as a spreadsheet, and bulk export on request, per our September profile. Satori exports a coaching log for ICF credentialing; a general client-data export was not verified. If you are leaving either tool, our guides on migrating from Practice Better and migrating from Satori walk through the order of operations.
Coachful exports full client data as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses) plus course exports, and it is GDPR-ready. During onboarding, clients, programs and content are imported for you.
Which should you pick for which kind of coach?
Match the tool to the work you actually do each week, not the feature list.
| Coach type | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Coachful: coaches who deliver multi-week programs, groups or courses | Coachful | Programs, habits, check-ins, courses, community, website and email in one login |
| Nutritionist or dietitian who charts | Practice Better | Note templates, forms, AI charting, telehealth |
| Functional or naturopathic practitioner who prescribes | Practice Better | ePrescribe and PDMP add-ons; neither alternative offers them |
| Life or executive coach with fewer than 10 package clients | Satori | Packages, invoices and contracts on Essentials; PayPal support |
| Coach in training logging pro-bono hours | Satori | Free Scholar plan and an ICF coaching-log export |
| Small multi-practitioner wellness clinic | Practice Better | Team plan with roles, team scheduling and managed billing |
| Fitness or nutrition coach who programs workouts and meals | Coachful | Fitness and Nutrition pack: workout builder, logging, macros, meal plans, check-ins |
Health coaches sit in the middle. If you do not chart or prescribe, you are paying Practice Better for clinical features you do not use, and our list of Practice Better alternatives for health coaches is worth a read. Life coaches weighing Satori against other options can compare in our ranked Satori alternatives.
Is there a third option that beats both?
Yes, for coaches whose results depend on what clients do between sessions. Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. The coach has one login; the client has one branded app.

What Coachful is and who it is for
Coachful is built for coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia, and has a Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 21 reviews. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. Lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans (Studio and Agency) add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions.
Where Coachful beats Practice Better and Satori
- Between-session delivery. Weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, streaks and goal progress bars, all inside the program the client bought.
- Selling, not just billing. A section-based website builder with blog, custom domain, SEO settings and 30 designed homepage templates; booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking; a link-in-bio page that sells; email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with branching and A/B splits.
- Courses and community. Courses with modules, drip and completion tracking; downloads, books, AI tools and bundles; a community feed, group chat, direct messages and video events, with cohort groups created automatically on program enrollment.
- AI that works from your practice. Michelle, the built-in assistant, builds programs, drafts emails, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before each call. Questions and planning are included in your Coachful membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. An optional AI Coach lets selected clients chat with an AI version of you between sessions, configured by you.
- ICF credential tracking. Coaching hours and distinct clients counted against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds, with an exportable ICF client coaching log of paid and pro bono hours. Satori offers a coaching-log export too; Coachful adds the progress view. See ICF hour tracking.
- Templates. More than 40 ready-to-film program templates, 48 course templates with quizzes and about 25 funnel templates.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can open Create and choose "We'll build it for you", describe what you need (a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, email sequence, form, lead quiz, webinar or automation), attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. A menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a free 20-minute consultation. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. The service does not record videos, design logos, manage ads or run ongoing marketing. Read more about the free white-glove service.

Where Coachful does not beat them
- Clinical records: Coachful is not HIPAA-certified, signs no BAA and does not do insurance billing. Practice Better is the better home for charting.
- Prescribing and fax: no ePrescribe, PDMP or fax. Practice Better has them as add-ons.
- PayPal: not supported. Satori supports it.
- A permanent free plan: Coachful has a free trial but no free tier. Practice Better's Sprout and Satori's Scholar are free.
- Wearables: no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and Apple Health sync is not publicly available. There are no stock exercise videos; coaches attach their own demo videos.
- Your own App Store listing: the client app carries your branding inside the Coachful app.
- Large sales teams: no multi-stage deal board, no Salesforce or HubSpot integration and no routing forms that pick a host from form answers.

How to start
Start a free trial, then use the white-glove build to have your website, first program or funnel set up while you keep coaching. Your clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. If you are coming from Practice Better specifically, our Practice Better vs Coachful comparison and the Practice Better alternative page cover the switch; for Satori, see the Satori alternative page. Coaches in specific niches can start from Coachful for health coaches or Coachful for life coaches.
How should you decide in practice?
Write down the three things you do every week that take the most time, then check which tool handles all three without another subscription. A simple sequence works well:
- Decide whether you are clinical. If you chart, prescribe or bill insurance, shortlist Practice Better and stop there.
- Count your active clients now and in 12 months. Satori Essentials and Practice Better Starter both cap at 10. Crossing that line moves you to $49 or $69 per month.
- List every other tool you pay for. Website, email, course host, community, e-signature, scheduling. Add them to each column.
- Look at the client's week. If the client only needs to book and pay, a lighter tool is fine. If they need daily tasks, habits and check-ins, pick a platform that delivers them.
- Use the trials on real work. Practice Better gives 14 days (30 on Team), Satori gives 15 days with no card during the trial, and Coachful offers a free trial. Run one actual client onboarding in each.
If you want a structured way to find the admin worth automating first, our coaching practice automation audit walks through it.
Frequently asked questions
Is Practice Better or Satori cheaper?
For small rosters, Satori is cheaper: Essentials was $33 per month for up to 10 active paying clients per our September 2026 profile, against Practice Better Starter at $35 per month for 10 clients as listed in October 2026. Past 10 clients, Satori Pro at $49 undercuts Practice Better Professional at $69. Past 150 clients, Practice Better is the only one of the two with a single plan that fits.
Does Satori or Practice Better have a free plan?
Both do. Practice Better's Sprout plan is free for up to 3 clients and 1 practitioner. Satori's Scholar plan is free for coaches studying for a certification, with unlimited pro-bono clients, and you apply through a form.
Which is better for life coaches?
Satori is usually the better fit of the two, because it is built around coaching packages, invoices and contracts rather than charting. If you also want a website, funnels, courses or a community, neither covers those, and a platform like Coachful does in one login.
Which is better for nutrition and health practitioners?
Practice Better, if you keep clinical-style records, use telehealth or need ePrescribe. Health coaches who do not chart often find they pay for features they do not use. Coaching is not medical care, so refer anything clinical to a licensed professional.
Does either tool support PayPal?
Satori supports PayPal and Stripe with no Satori fee on client payments. Practice Better uses Practice Better Payments, powered by Stripe. Coachful does not support PayPal; it uses your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account.
Do Practice Better and Satori have mobile apps?
Practice Better offers an app for clients and practitioners; our Practice Better app guide covers what each side gets. Our September 2026 profile found no native mobile app for Satori, so clients use it in the browser.
Can I track ICF coaching hours in either tool?
Satori exports a coaching log for ICF credentialing. Practice Better does not document ICF tracking. Coachful counts hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log with paid and pro bono hours.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a build service included on every Coachful plan. You describe what you want, such as a website, funnel, program or email sequence, attach references and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design, ads or ongoing marketing.
Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Practitioners who need that should keep clinical records in a system built for it.
How hard is it to switch from Practice Better or Satori?
Plan the export first, because Practice Better's per-client archives are only kept for 48 hours after they are emailed, and Satori's general data export was not verified. When moving to Coachful, clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Our Practice Better switching checklist lists each step.
