Practice Better vs Stan Store: Which Fits Coaches in 2026?

Practice better vs stan store is really a question about what kind of coaching business you run. Practice Better is practice management software built for wellness and nutrition practitioners: scheduling, telehealth video, charting, billing, programs and a client portal. Stan Store is a link-in-bio storefront for selling digital products, courses, memberships and paid calls from your social profile. If you mostly work 1:1 with clients and need notes, forms and a portal, Practice Better fits better. If you mostly sell to an audience from Instagram or TikTok, Stan Store fits better. If you need both halves, neither does the whole job on its own.
We make Coachful, a coaching platform that covers both halves under one login, so we have a stake in this comparison. We have kept every fact about Practice Better and Stan Store to what each vendor documents (as listed in October 2026) and what public reviewers report. We have not run hands-on tests of either product, and we say plainly where each one beats Coachful.
Practice Better vs Stan Store: what is the short answer?
Pick Practice Better if you run a client practice with sessions, intake forms and notes; pick Stan Store if you sell products to followers and want checkout in two taps. The two tools barely overlap, which is why many coaches end up paying for both.
Here is the short answer by use case:
- Nutrition or wellness practitioner with 1:1 clients: Practice Better. It is built around client records, charting, forms and telehealth, and offers add-ons such as an AI charting assistant and e-prescribing that a coach rarely needs but a practitioner might.
- Creator-coach selling a low-ticket guide, a mini course or a paid call to an audience: Stan Store. The storefront, Instagram AutoDM and checkout are the product.
- Coach who sells programs to followers and then delivers them over 8 to 12 weeks: neither alone. You would need Stan Store to sell and Practice Better (or similar) to deliver, or one platform that does both.
- Coach who wants habits, daily check-ins and between-session accountability in a branded app: Practice Better gets partway with programs; Stan Store has no client programs with tasks, habits or check-ins at all.
- Small team: Practice Better has a Team plan with roles and team scheduling. Stan Store advertises no team seats.
Coachful is the third option for that middle group: coaches who sell and deliver. We cover it, honestly, after the head-to-head. If you only need one of the two jobs done, one of the two vendors here may suit you better.
How do Practice Better and Stan Store compare side by side?
Practice Better covers the back office of a client practice; Stan Store covers the shop window. The table below lines them up with Coachful, ranked on four criteria: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort (Coachful includes a free white-glove build).
| Tool | Built for | Booking and sessions | Client programs, habits, check-ins | Storefront, funnels, email | Contracts and client records |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who sell and deliver programs, solo to small team | Booking pages, two-way calendar sync, built-in video or Zoom, Meet, Teams links | Yes: weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, streaks | Website, funnels, link-in-bio page, email sequences | E-signed agreements and a full client record |
| Practice Better | Wellness and nutrition practitioners | Scheduling and telehealth video on every paid plan | Programs (fixed-date from Professional, evergreen from Plus) | No website builder or funnel pages (older profile) | Forms, note templates, charting, client portal |
| Stan Store | Creators selling from a link in bio | Calendar booking for paid calls | No | Storefront on both plans; funnels and email broadcasts on Creator Pro | No contracts, invoices or client records |
Ratings are a rough signal, not a verdict. As listed in October 2026, Stan Store holds 4.7 on Trustpilot from 2,205 reviews, Practice Better holds 3.8 from 87 reviews, and Coachful holds 4.5 from 21 reviews.

What do Practice Better and Stan Store cost?
Practice Better runs from a free Sprout plan (3 clients) to $155 a month for Team; Stan Store has two plans, $29 and $99 a month. The catch is in what each tier unlocks.
| Tool and plan | Monthly | Billed yearly (per month) | Key limits | What this tier adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients | Lower plans cap clients; Pro is unlimited; team plans add seats | Booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, website, funnels, email and AI assistant included in your Coachful membership |
| Practice Better Sprout | $0 | $0 | 3 clients, 1 practitioner, 100 MB | Free plan for students and new practitioners |
| Practice Better Starter | $35 | $25 | 10 clients, 1 GB | Scheduling, telehealth video, billing, secure messaging, client portal, forms and note templates |
| Practice Better Professional | $69 | $59 | 300 clients, 5 GB | Group scheduling and messaging, fixed-date programs, deposits and payment plans, Zapier |
| Practice Better Plus | $99 | $89 | Unlimited clients, 3 admins | Evergreen programs, portal branding, personalized URL, 750 SMS a month |
| Practice Better Team | $155 | $145 | 2 practitioners (up to 200 at $50 each) | Roles and permissions, team scheduling, team chat, advanced workflows |
| Stan Store Creator | $29 | $25 ($300 a year) | Unlimited products and customers; one store | Storefront, booking, course builder, subscriptions, lead magnets, community, Instagram AutoDM |
| Stan Store Creator Pro | $99 | $79 ($948 a year) | Unlimited products and customers | Discount codes, upsells and order bumps, funnels, Afterpay and Klarna, affiliates, email broadcasts and flows, ad pixels |
A few details matter more than the headline numbers.
- Practice Better's useful coaching features sit on Plus. Evergreen self-paced programs, portal branding, a personalized URL and SMS start at $99 a month. Starter caps you at 10 clients. Its pricing page is also a little inconsistent: the Professional card says "Save $84/year", which implies about $62 a month yearly, while the table shows $59.
- Practice Better add-ons stack. As listed in October 2026: AI Charting Assistant at $10, $20 or $40 per practitioner per month; Connector Hub at $49 a month (Plus and Team); SMS beyond the allowance at 5 cents per text; extra admins at $10 a month; extra storage at $1 per GB on Professional.
- Stan Store's marketing tools sit on Creator Pro. Email broadcasts and flows, upsells, discount codes, affiliates and funnels need the $99 plan. On Creator, you get a storefront and email collection but no way to email those leads from Stan.
- Trials: Practice Better offers 14 days on paid plans and 30 days on Team. Stan Store offers 14 days on either plan, and its help center says the first month is charged when the trial ends.
- Transaction fees: Stan Store takes 0% of sales; Stripe or PayPal processing applies. Practice Better states no platform fee and processes through Practice Better Payments, powered by Stripe, without listing rates on the pricing page. Coachful charges a 0% platform fee since August 2026; only Stripe or Razorpay processing applies.

Stan Store has no standalone pricing page (the URL returns a 404); its prices above come from Stan's own pricing article and help center. For the full breakdown, see our Stan Store pricing guide.
What does the combined stack cost?
Coaches who need both jobs done often pay for both tools. As an illustrative example, a health coach with 25 active clients who wants evergreen programs and a branded portal (Practice Better Plus, $99) plus email follow-up for leads from Instagram (Stan Store Creator Pro, $99) pays $198 a month before add-ons and processing. Dropping to Professional and Creator brings that to $98 a month, but you lose evergreen programs and Stan's email tools. Price the same 25 clients on one platform here: Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients.
How do scheduling and sessions compare?
Practice Better has the deeper scheduling for a client practice; Stan Store's booking is built for selling a paid call to a stranger. Both work, for different jobs.
Practice Better includes scheduling and telehealth video on every paid plan, with group scheduling from Professional and team scheduling on Team. That suits a practitioner who books follow-ups, runs group sessions and keeps the call inside the same system as the notes.
Stan Store's calendar booking sits on both plans. A follower taps a product, picks a slot and pays. It is a sales tool more than a practice tool: there is no client record behind the booking, so session history and notes live elsewhere.
Coachful's booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple/iCloud and Outlook sync. Sessions run on built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet or Teams links. Reminders go out by email, plus SMS 24 hours before and WhatsApp 1 hour before once messaging is enabled. You can sell paid sessions and session credits, ask intake questions at booking, and assign multi-coach session types by round-robin or least-busy. More on the scheduling software page.

How do programs, courses and client follow-through compare?
This is the widest gap between the two. Practice Better has client programs; Stan Store has courses but no programs with client tasks, habits or check-ins.
Practice Better offers fixed-date programs from Professional and evergreen, self-paced programs from Plus, with program templates on Plus. For a nutrition practitioner running a 6-week reset, that is a real advantage over a storefront. Practice Better is first a practice management tool, so its programs sit alongside charting and forms rather than at the center.
Stan Store includes an unlimited course builder and a community on Creator. You can sell a course and host members. What you cannot do is assign a client a daily task, track a habit streak or collect a weekly check-in. For a coach, that is the difference between selling information and getting someone to change.
Coachful builds multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. Courses (modules, lessons, drip, completion tracking), downloads, videos and bundles land in the same branded client home. Cohort groups are created automatically when a client enrolls in a program. There are more than 40 ready-to-film program templates and 48 course templates with quizzes to start from. Here is a short walkthrough of building a program:

If between-session accountability is how you get results, this section probably decides it for you. See group coaching software and the course platform for coaches for the details.
How do payments, contracts and client records compare?
Practice Better handles billing and client records; Stan Store handles checkout but keeps no contracts, invoices or client records. Neither lists e-signed coaching agreements among its plan features.
Practice Better includes billing and payments on Starter, with deposits and payment plans from Professional. Payments run through Practice Better Payments, powered by Stripe. Forms, note templates and charting make it a sensible home for intake and session notes. Data export, per its older profile, is a per-client archive (notes, invoices, forms) emailed and kept for 48 hours, a contact spreadsheet, and bulk export on request.
Stan Store takes payments through Stripe and PayPal, with Stan Payments, Afterpay and Klarna listed on Creator Pro. It supports recurring subscriptions on both plans. Customer export is a CSV; course and community content must be rebuilt elsewhere if you leave (older profile). Our Stan Store migration guide covers that move step by step.
Coachful takes payments through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans, order bumps, coupons, refunds, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Stripe Tax, with an invoice per transaction and manual invoices. Coaching agreements go out with e-signature before the first call and stay on the client record, which also holds goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, tags, payments, sessions and an AI briefing per client. Each client shows a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. Coachful does not support PayPal. See coaching contracts and coaching payment software.

A note on health data and scope
Practice Better's add-ons (ePrescribe, PDMP, fax) show it serves clinical practitioners too. If you keep clinical records or bill insurance, you need a system built for that and the protections the US HIPAA rules describe. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so clinical records belong in a clinical system. Coaching is not treatment: a health coach supports behavior change, and refers out when a client reports symptoms, a diagnosis question, an eating disorder, medication changes or anything that needs a doctor or registered dietitian. The National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching is a good reference for scope.
How do marketing, storefronts and email compare?
Stan Store wins this round against Practice Better outright: Practice Better has no website builder or funnel pages, per its older profile. Stan Store is a sales tool from the ground up.
Stan Store Creator gives you a mobile and desktop storefront, lead magnets with email collection, analytics and AutoDM for Instagram. Creator Pro adds funnels (up to 20 products), email broadcasts and flows, upsells and order bumps, discount codes, limited-quantity offers, affiliate management, contact import and Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok pixels.
Practice Better offers 10,000 broadcasts a month and 750 SMS on Plus, which helps you reach existing clients, but you will still need a website and a way to capture new leads.
Coachful includes a section-based website builder with blog, custom domain and 30 designed homepage templates; booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels with pixels and UTM tracking; a link-in-bio page that sells; and email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences with triggers, delays, branching and A/B splits. Instagram automations reply to a comment keyword, DM, story reply or mention with your booking link, lead magnet or checkout, and the person lands in your Coachful lead records. A social planner schedules posts to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and YouTube. Stan Store lists TikTok and Pinterest pixels, which Coachful does not offer. See the coach website builder page.

What does the client experience feel like on each?
On Practice Better, the client logs in to a portal for forms, messages, programs and sessions; on Stan Store, the client is a buyer who checks out and gets a download, a course or a booking. That difference shapes how clients see you.
Practice Better's client portal holds secure messaging, forms, bookings and programs on every paid plan. Branding the portal and getting a personalized URL require Plus. Clients get a consistent place to return to between sessions.
Stan Store's experience is fast and mobile-first at the point of sale. After purchase, clients reach the course or community, but there is no personal coaching space with their goals, notes or history. For a one-off product that is fine. For a 12-week program, clients end up juggling emails, a course login and a separate booking link.
Coachful's client sees one branded home and app: next session, programs, daily tasks and habits, check-ins, progress, documents, courses and the community. The app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. Selected clients can also chat with an AI Coach, an AI version of you that you configure, between sessions.

Which should you pick for your coaching business?
Match the tool to the job you do most. This table maps common coaching setups to the best fit among the three.
| Tool | Best for | Weak spot for coaches | Pick it if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Coaches who sell programs and deliver them over weeks, solo or with a small team | No PayPal, not HIPAA-certified, no wearable sync | You want sales, delivery and client follow-through under one login |
| Practice Better | Nutrition and wellness practitioners with charting and telehealth needs | No website or funnels; key coaching features need Plus | Your work is clinical-adjacent and notes, forms and charting come first |
| Stan Store | Creators selling digital products and paid calls from social | No client records, contracts, habits or check-ins | You sell to an audience and deliver mostly through products |
Pick Practice Better over Stan Store if you are a dietitian, nutritionist or functional health practitioner who needs charting, intake forms and telehealth in one place. It is also the better choice for a small team, since Stan Store advertises no seats. Our Practice Better review goes deeper.
Pick Stan Store over Practice Better if your income comes from followers buying guides, templates, mini courses and paid calls, and you deliver little 1:1 follow-up. The storefront, AutoDM and two-tap checkout are what you are paying for. See our Stan Store review.
Use both only if you accept two logins, two sets of client data and a manual handoff between them. Many coaches start that way and then look for one platform, which is where Coachful fits. If you are weighing other paths, compare Stan Store alternatives or our Practice Better alternative page.
Is there a third option? When Coachful beats both, and when it does not
Yes. Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant, with one login for you and one branded app for your clients.

Who it is for: coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia.
When does Coachful beat both?
- You sell and deliver. A follower comments a keyword on Instagram, gets your checkout link by DM, pays through your Stripe account, signs your agreement and lands in a program with daily tasks and check-ins. Stan Store stops at checkout; Practice Better starts after it.
- Between-session follow-through matters. Habits, morning and evening check-ins, weekly goals and streaks are core features, and the client record flags who is quiet or at risk.
- You want one bill and one login. Booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, website, funnels, email and the AI assistant are included in your Coachful membership. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.
- You track ICF hours. Coachful counts coaching hours and distinct clients against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds and exports an ICF client coaching log. See ICF hour tracking and the International Coaching Federation for credential requirements.
- You want help from your data. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, works from your live practice data: it briefs you before sessions, summarizes recorded sessions, drafts emails and builds programs. Questions and planning are included; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits. More on the AI coaching assistant page.

When does Coachful not beat them?
- You need HIPAA, charting or e-prescribing. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. Practice Better is the closer fit for clinical-adjacent practitioners.
- You need PayPal, Afterpay or Klarna. Coachful has no PayPal. Stan Store supports PayPal, plus Afterpay and Klarna on Creator Pro.
- You only sell low-ticket digital products. If you never run a program or a session, Stan Store's narrower storefront may be all you need.
- You want a permanent free plan. Practice Better's Sprout is free for 3 clients. Coachful has no permanent free plan, only a free trial.
- You need wearable sync or your own App Store app. Coachful has no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and the client app runs under the Coachful listing with your branding.
- You need TikTok or Pinterest publishing. Coachful's social planner does not publish there.

How do you start?
Start a free trial, then decide what to build first. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create > We'll build it for you, you describe what you want: a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline, an email sequence, a link in bio, a lead quiz or something else. Attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files (logos, photos, brand guides, copy). The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing is invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices; gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Recent anonymized examples: a menopause and midlife health coach starting from nothing got a five-page site in sage and cream with every button leading to a complimentary 20-minute consultation; a somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected; a business mentor for beauty professionals got a 12-week mentorship sales page, a start-up-guide funnel and rewritten follow-up emails. Read more about the white-glove build service.

Health and wellness coaches can see the niche setup at Coachful for health coaches; fitness and nutrition coaches can add the Fitness & Nutrition pack, with a workout builder, nutrition targets, meal plans and weekly check-ins.
Frequently asked questions
Is Practice Better or Stan Store better for health coaches?
Practice Better, if your work centers on 1:1 clients, intake forms and session notes. Stan Store suits health coaches who mostly sell guides or courses to a social audience. If you do both, compare a single platform before paying for two.
Does Stan Store have client management?
No. Stan Store keeps customer and order data but has no contracts, invoices or client records, and no programs with tasks, habits or check-ins. It is a storefront, not a CRM.
Does Practice Better have a website builder or sales funnels?
Not according to its older profile; it focuses on practice management. Most Practice Better users pair it with a separate website and link-in-bio tool, which is often how Stan Store enters the picture.
Which is cheaper, Practice Better or Stan Store?
Stan Store Creator costs $29 a month and Practice Better Starter costs $35 a month, as listed in October 2026. Practice Better has a free Sprout plan for 3 clients. For coaching features that matter (evergreen programs on Practice Better, email on Stan Store), both reach $99 a month.
Do Practice Better or Stan Store take a cut of sales?
Stan Store takes 0% of sales; Stripe or PayPal processing still applies. Practice Better states no platform fee and processes through Practice Better Payments, powered by Stripe, without listing rates on its pricing page.
Can I move clients from Practice Better or Stan Store to Coachful?
Yes. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. Practice Better provides per-client archives and a contact spreadsheet, and Stan Store exports customers to CSV. See our guides on migrating from Practice Better and from Stan Store.
Is Coachful HIPAA-compliant like a practice management tool?
No. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and does not sign a BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing. Coaches who keep clinical records should use a clinical system for those.
What is Coachful's free white-glove service?
It is a done-for-you build included on every plan. You describe a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or similar, attach references and files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design or ad management.
Does Coachful have an Instagram DM tool like Stan Store's AutoDM?
Yes. Coachful's Instagram automations trigger on a DM, a comment keyword, a story reply, a mention or a new follower where Meta supports it, and send a DM, a public reply, buttons or an AI-written reply. The lead lands in the same Coachful records as your clients.
Can a team use Practice Better, Stan Store or Coachful?
Practice Better's Team plan starts with 2 practitioners and adds more at $50 each. Stan Store advertises no team seats. Coachful's Studio and Agency plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions; see Coachful for teams.
