Whop Pricing in 2026: Plans, Fees and What Coaches Pay

Whop Pricing in 2026: Plans, Fees and What Coaches Pay

Whop pricing, as listed in October 2026, has no subscription and no listing fee: a new merchant pays 2.7% + $0.30 on each successful domestic card sale, then adds fees for international cards, currency conversion, payouts, disputes and any optional billing or tax tools they switch on. A coach collecting $6,000 a month from 20 clients should expect roughly $180 to $210 a month in Whop fees, before paying for the coaching tools Whop does not document, such as contracts, intake forms and client habit tracking.

That is a fair deal if you sell digital products or memberships and want a storefront today. It gets less attractive once you run programs with individual clients, because you pay a percentage forever and still assemble the back office yourself. We make Coachful, a flat-priced coaching platform, so read our comparison with that in mind. Every Whop figure below comes from Whop's official fees page, checked on October 30, 2026, and each worked total shows its assumptions so you can redo it with your own numbers.

Whop's homepage in October 2026.

What are Whop's plans and prices in 2026?

Whop lists one self-serve pricing model and one custom option. There is no tiered plan ladder, so there is no monthly price and no annual discount to compare.

PlanMonthlyAnnualLimits and terms
Whop Payments (standard pricing, new merchants)$0Not applicable, no subscription2.7% + $0.30 per successful domestic card transaction, +1.5% for international cards, +1% when currency conversion is needed. Payout fees from $2.50 (next-day ACH). Optional revenue tools add percentage fees.
EnterpriseNot publishedNot publishedCustom pricing through a call with Whop's sales team. We will not estimate it.

Two details are worth knowing if you try to verify this yourself. When we checked, the address whop.com/pricing opened an unrelated creator's store rather than a pricing page, so the reliable source is the fees page in Whop's documentation. That page has no last-updated date and says it applies to new merchants who sign up today, which means an older account may be on different terms. If you already sell on Whop, check your own dashboard rather than relying on any article, including this one.

What does each Whop plan include?

Whop Payments includes the storefront, checkout and app system with no fixed cost. Enterprise has no published feature list, so we cannot tell you what it adds beyond the custom terms.

On the standard model, Whop documents the following:

  • Selling: a store page and checkout links, with free, one-time and recurring products billed weekly, monthly or yearly.
  • Offers: free trials on recurring checkout links (for example 1, 7 or 30 days), waitlists, promo codes and affiliates.
  • Reach: a listing on the Discover marketplace, free to list, with a commission catch covered below.
  • Delivery apps: Chat, Forums, Courses (videos, quizzes and progress tracking), Content pages, Files and Events, attached per product.
  • Live sessions: a Video Calls app with video or voice, screen share and chat, a Livestreaming app, and a Calendar Bookings app that lets members book one-to-one time, paid or free.
  • Member access: the Whop iOS and Android apps or a browser. Products can also grant access to a Discord server.
  • Data: Users and Memberships tables you can filter and export, plus a developer API and webhooks.

The structure matters more than the list. Whop is a payments-first storefront where each product opens up a chosen set of apps. Its client view is a users and memberships table with filters, export and direct messages. Session notes, intake forms and coaching history are not documented. For a coach, that is the gap to price, because a lower fee does not help if you still need other software to run the engagement.

What fees does Whop charge?

Whop's fees fall into five groups: payment acceptance, fraud and security, optional revenue tools, payouts, and distribution. Most coaches will touch the first, second and fourth groups every month.

FeeListed amount (October 2026)When it applies
Domestic cards and wallets2.7% + $0.30Every successful transaction

Whop's own summary of the stacked case is that a domestic card sale with Orchestration, Billing and Tax all enabled costs 6% + $0.30. On a $300 monthly client payment, here is how that spreads out:

  • Domestic card, no extras: $8.40 (2.7% is $8.10, plus $0.30).
  • International card, no conversion: $12.90.
  • International card with conversion: $15.90.
  • Domestic card with all optional tools and tax: $18.30.
  • ACH debit: $4.50.

Whop's fee page lists no seat charges and no overage charges, because there is no plan limit to go over. Third-party apps in the Whop App Store set their own prices, which we did not check, so budget for those separately if you plan to add any. For a flat-fee approach to the same job, see coaching payment software.

What does a coach actually pay on Whop at three sizes?

On these example numbers, a coach pays about $60 a month at 5 clients, $210 at 20 clients and $610 at 60 clients in Whop fees alone. The $300 monthly client payment is purely an illustration to make the arithmetic readable, not a suggested rate. To set your own, use the package pricing calculator.

Tools still needed beside WhopContracts and e-signature, intake forms, email sequences, habits and check-insThe same, plus client notes and session history as the roster growsThe same, plus staff permissions and per-coach availability if you hire

The assumptions behind the Whop rows: every client pays once a month by domestic card with no conversion, both per-transaction security fees apply to every charge, Billing is on, you take a next-day ACH payout weekly, and no tax is collected. Without Billing, the totals drop to $52.50, $180 and $520 a month.

Real months will move those numbers in three common ways, each shown here on the 20-client example:

  • International clients: if 5 of the 20 pay on foreign cards that need conversion, that adds 2.5% on $1,500, or $37.50.
  • Tax collection: if Whop collects tax on the whole $6,000, the 2% tax and remittance fee adds $120.
  • Disputes: one dispute adds $15, and one early alert adds $29.

The tool row deserves as much attention as the fee rows. Whop's Calendar Bookings app covers one-to-one booking, and its Courses, Forums and Chat apps cover delivery and community. Contracts, intake forms, email sequences and per-client habits are not among the apps we found documented, so a coach would need separate tools for them. We have not put dollar figures on those because the cost depends on which tools you pick. Our pricing guides for Kit, Calendly and HoneyBook show what the usual choices run.

To compare fairly against a flat plan, do this sum: take your Whop total, subtract what your processor would charge on the same revenue, and set the difference against the plan price. A flat plan does not remove card processing, so counting the whole Whop fee as a saving would overstate the case.

What are the hidden costs and gotchas in Whop pricing?

The biggest surprises are not hidden so much as easy to miss: marketplace affiliate commission, payout method fees, buy now pay later rates and the iOS markup. Here are the ones that move real money.

The 30% marketplace affiliate commission

Listing on Discover is free, but products listed there can be promoted by Whop's global affiliates at a default 30% of the sales they refer. You can adjust the rate per product. On a $1,000 coaching package, the default would cost $300 before processing, or $327.30 with the domestic card fee. Set the rate deliberately before you list, since coaching margins tied to your own hours rarely absorb that the way a digital download can.

Payout method can cost more than the sale

A $5,000 payout by next-day ACH costs $2.50. The same payout by instant bank deposit costs $202.50 (4% + $2.50), by Venmo $252.50 (5% + $2.50), and by crypto $251 (5% + $1.00). A bank wire is $23. Choosing speed on a single large payout can cost more than a month of card fees for a small practice.

Buy now, pay later is expensive for high-ticket offers

Financing costs 15% per transaction, or 20% for ClarityPay No Interest. On a $3,000 package, that is $450 or $600. If you sell high-ticket programs, offering your own installments as recurring checkout links usually costs far less, though you carry the risk of a client stopping payment.

The iOS app changes the price clients see

One-time purchases under $700 made in the Whop iOS app go through Apple's in-app purchase with Apple's 30% fee, and Whop marks the iOS price up 42.86% to offset it. A $300 product shows as about $428.58 there. Subscriptions and purchases of $700 or more use Whop's web checkout. If you quote a price on a sales call, a client who buys in the app may see a different number and ask why.

The Billing fee is ambiguous

The 0.5% Billing fee is marked "when enabled", and Whop's page does not say whether recurring memberships turn it on automatically. If you bill monthly, check your first statement. That is why our worked table shows totals with and without it.

Fee terms have changed, and old reviews lag

Archived copies of Whop's fees page from September and December 2025 listed a separate 3% platform fee on purchases with automations like Discord, Telegram and TradingView, plus a 1.25% affiliate processing fee. Neither appears on the February 2026 copy or on the live page. Tax and remittance rose from 0.5% in the February 2026 copy to 2% on the live page, so rates do move in both directions.

Third-party reviews still quote the 3% fee and a former 30% Discover marketplace fee. The official page lists no marketplace commission, but we could not confirm the reported 2025 removal of the Discover fee on an official page. Treat any Whop number older than a few months as a lead to check, not a fact.

Public sentiment is mixed

Whop holds a 3.3 on Trustpilot from 3,059 reviews, seen on October 30, 2026. Whop serves both buyers and sellers, so those reviews may mix the two groups. Read recent reviews from merchants rather than the headline score. We have not run a business on Whop ourselves, so we rely on what Whop documents and what public reviewers report.

Is Whop worth it for coaches?

Whop is worth it for coaches whose business is mostly products and communities, and rarely worth it for coaches who run individual client programs. The deciding question is whether you need a checkout or a practice.

  • New coach testing an offer: Whop's $0 entry is a real advantage. You can sell a first group or digital product and pay only when it sells. If that offer is one-to-one coaching, though, you still need contracts and intake somewhere, so compare a platform built for that on the new coach page.
  • Community or membership coach: a reasonable fit. Chat, Forums, Courses and a Discord link are all available, and recurring checkout is simple. Compare it with Skool in our Skool vs Whop breakdown.
  • Coach selling digital courses and downloads: the strongest fit. Courses, Files, crypto and buy now, pay later options and a global affiliate program all suit products that do not depend on your hours.
  • Coach selling internationally: workable. Whop says it covers 195 countries, 135+ currencies and 100+ payment methods, with payouts to 200+ countries, but expect the +1.5% and +1% additions on many sales.
  • Coach running multi-week programs for individual clients: a weak fit. No documented session notes, intake forms or coaching history means the client relationship lives elsewhere.
  • Fitness or health coach: a weak fit for the same reason. Workout logging, nutrition targets and weekly check-ins are not part of what Whop documents. See our fitness coach page for what those tools look like.
  • Established practice with a team: weak. Whop's fees rise with revenue, and the coordination tools a team needs are not documented. See coaching software for teams.

Why do we recommend Coachful over Whop for coaches who run programs?

Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. It is built for coaches who deliver programs rather than single sessions, solo coaches growing into a small team, and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools.

Coachful's session calendar on a laptop beside its client program view on a tablet
Coachful's session calendar on a laptop beside a client's program view on a tablet, both with demo data.

The pricing difference is structural. Coachful has flat monthly plans (Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients), with lower plans capping the number of clients, Pro unlimited and team plans adding seats. There has been a 0% Coachful platform fee since August 2026. You pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing, through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, so your platform cost does not climb with your revenue the way a per-sale fee does.

What your membership covers that you would otherwise add beside Whop:

  • Booking: availability rules, buffers, minimum notice, time-zone detection, and two-way Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync, with built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links.
  • Agreements: coaching agreements with e-signature, sent before the first call and stored on the client record.
  • Programs: multi-week programs with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, progress bars and streaks.
  • Client records: goals, check-ins, notes, intake answers, tags, payments, sessions and an AI briefing per client, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk.
  • Courses and groups: modules, drip, completion tracking, a community feed, and cohort groups created automatically on enrollment.
  • Website and email: a section-based site builder with a custom domain, funnels, email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences.
  • Michelle: the built-in AI assistant works from your live practice data, builds programs, drafts emails and briefs you before sessions. Questions and planning are included in the membership, while confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you describe what you want from Create, and the Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. That can be a website, a funnel, a sales page, a program, a course outline, an email sequence and more. Nothing gets invented: no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you. A leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi had the homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected. The service does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Read more about the white-glove build service.

Coachful also has real limits, and some of them are reasons to choose Whop:

  • No PayPal. Whop accepts it, along with crypto and a long list of buy now, pay later providers.
  • No course marketplace, and no global affiliate network like Whop's. Coachful's affiliate program tracks links, clicks, conversions and revenue, with payouts recorded manually.
  • No permanent free plan. Getting started means a free trial, then a subscription.
  • Not HIPAA-certified and no BAA, so it is not for clinical records or insurance billing.
  • The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account.
  • No Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura sync, and no stock exercise videos.

To start, open a free trial, request a white-glove build for whatever you need first, and have your clients, programs and content imported during onboarding. Pick Whop over Coachful if your business is digital products or a paid community, you need crypto or PayPal at checkout, or you want a marketplace and affiliate network to do your selling. See the full coaching software overview for how it fits together.

How can you save money on Whop?

The largest savings come from steering clients to cheaper payment methods and taking slower payouts. None of these need a call to sales.

  1. Offer ACH debit on larger payments. ACH costs 1.5% with a $5 maximum. A $3,000 package paid in full costs $5 by ACH against $81.30 by domestic card. Twelve $250 monthly payments by ACH would cost $45 in total, so paying in full saves more.
  2. Take next-day ACH payouts. At $2.50, it is the cheapest listed payout. Where your payout settings allow it, withdrawing weekly instead of daily also cuts the count, and at 4 a month you pay $10.
  3. Avoid instant, Venmo and crypto payouts for routine withdrawals. The percentage fees on those methods dwarf the flat ones.
  4. Leave Billing and Orchestration off if you do not need them. Check your settings and your first statement, since Whop does not say whether recurring memberships turn Billing on automatically. Billing at 0.5% is $360 a year on $6,000 a month.
  5. Set the affiliate rate before listing on Discover. Lower it from the default 30% where the economics demand it, or skip marketplace listing for one-to-one offers that sell through your own referrals.
  6. Do not offer financing by default on coaching packages. At 15%, your own installment plan is usually better if you can accept the risk.
  7. Send clients to web checkout. For one-time purchases under $700, a link to the web checkout avoids the iOS price markup your client would otherwise see.
  8. Price with fees in mind. Build expected fees into your package rather than discovering them later. Our guides on value-based pricing and retainers versus packages show how to do that.

The other way to save is to look at the whole stack. If you are paying Whop fees alongside separate tools for booking, contracts and email, add them up and compare the total with a single subscription. Whichever option wins on your numbers, a monthly total is the figure to decide on, not a headline percentage. If you already run a full practice, start with our page for established coaches.

Whop pricing FAQ

Is Whop free to use?

Whop has no subscription or listing fee, so it is free to start. It charges per sale instead, at 2.7% + $0.30 on a successful domestic card transaction as listed in October 2026. If you sell nothing, the listed fees do not apply, though any third-party apps you add may have their own prices.

How much does Whop take per sale?

On a domestic card, 2.7% + $0.30, plus $0.03 for 3DS and $0.07 for Radar per transaction. International cards add 1.5% and currency conversion adds 1%. On a $300 domestic sale that is $8.40 in card fees before the security fees.

Does Whop still charge a 3% platform fee?

It is not listed today. Archived copies of Whop's fees page from September and December 2025 showed a 3% fee on purchases with automations like Discord and Telegram, but it does not appear on the February 2026 copy or on the live page. Some third-party reviews still quote it.

Does Whop charge a fee for selling on the Discover marketplace?

Listing is free, and the official fees page lists no marketplace commission. However, marketplace affiliates earn a default 30% of the sales they refer, and you can adjust that rate per product. A former 30% Discover fee is still quoted in some reviews, and we could not confirm its reported removal on an official page.

How much does Whop Enterprise cost?

Whop does not publish it. Enterprise pricing is custom and arranged through a call with Whop's sales team, so we will not estimate it. Ask for the rate in writing, including which optional fees it replaces.

What are Whop's payout fees?

Next-day ACH costs $2.50, instant bank deposit 4% + $2.50, crypto 5% + $1.00, Venmo in the US 5% + $2.50, and a bank wire $23. International local bank payouts vary by country. Next-day ACH is the cheapest listed option.

Does Whop support PayPal and buy now, pay later?

Yes. Whop lists cards, digital wallets, ACH debit, PayPal, local payment methods, crypto and providers including Klarna, Afterpay, Splitit, Sezzle and Zip. Financing costs 15% per transaction, or 20% for ClarityPay No Interest, so it is worth pricing before you turn it on.

Is Whop good for one-to-one coaching?

It can take bookings and payments, through its Calendar Bookings and Video Calls apps. Its client view is a users and memberships table, and session notes, intake forms and coaching history are not documented, so most one-to-one coaches would need other tools. That is the gap a coaching platform like Coachful is designed to close.

What does Coachful's white-glove build service include?

It is free on every plan. You describe what you want, attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It covers websites, funnels, sales pages, programs, course outlines, email sequences and more, but not video recording, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

How does Coachful's pricing differ from Whop's?

Coachful has flat monthly plans with a 0% platform fee, and you pay only Stripe or Razorpay processing. Whop has no subscription and charges a percentage of each sale plus listed extras. Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients for the current plans, then compare them with your own Whop total from the table above.
