Mindbody Pricing in 2026: Plans, Fees and What Coaches Pay

Mindbody pricing starts at $79 per month per location in North America and Asia, as listed in October 2026, and that is the only plan price the company publishes. The Starter, Accelerate, Ultimate and Enterprise plans are all sold through a conversation with sales, on contracts of 12, 24 or 36 months or month-to-month with a 90-day minimum. EU visitors see a starting figure of €99. Payment processing, app commissions and several add-ons sit on top.
That headline number suits a studio with a schedule and a front desk. A coach running programs usually pays more than it suggests, because the plan comparison lists no habit tracking, check-ins, courses or client community, so those tools get bought separately. This guide sets out what is published, what is not, and what a coach would pay at three sizes. We make Coachful, a coaching platform that competes for some of these buyers, so read our recommendation with that in mind. Every Mindbody price below comes from its own pricing page and help material.

How much does Mindbody cost in 2026?
Mindbody costs from $79 per month per location for Starter, and every other tier is quote only. The company has not published a billing term for that figure, so you cannot assume $79 applies equally to a 90-day and a 36-month commitment.
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual price | Limits and terms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | From $79 per location (North America and Asia); €99 shown to EU visitors | Not published | Priced per location, unlimited staff users, billing term not published |
| Accelerate | Quote only | Not published | Per location, unlimited staff users, "Let's talk" on the pricing page |
| Ultimate | Quote only | Not published | Per location, unlimited staff users, includes a monthly text bundle with extra texts charged |
| Enterprise | Quote only | Not published | Aimed at multi-location businesses |
We will not estimate the quote-only tiers. Any Accelerate or Ultimate figure you read elsewhere is either a private quote or a guess, and it may not match what you are offered. Ask for a written quote and compare that.
Mindbody has no free plan, and its route in is a demo instead of a self-serve trial. Public reviewers on Trustpilot gave it 4.4 from 2,361 reviews when we checked in October 2026. Studios are the customers it is built for, so read that score as a signal about studio use, not online coaching.
What does each Mindbody plan add?
Each Mindbody tier adds an operating layer: Starter runs the business, Accelerate adds scheduling depth and analytics, and Ultimate adds marketing automation and lead management. This matters for coaches because email campaigns and lead tracking, the features many coaches want first, sit at the top of the range.
| Feature as listed in October 2026 | Starter | Accelerate | Ultimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Management tools for staff, schedule, inventory and revenue | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Unlimited users per location | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Point of sale and online payments | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Branded website widgets and a customized website | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Listing on the Mindbody app | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Booking confirmations and reminders | Email and text | Email and text | |
| Rooms, resources and Pick-a-Spot | No | Yes | Yes |
| Advanced reporting and analytics | No | Yes | Yes |
| Promo codes | No | Yes | Yes |
| Automated email and text marketing | No | No | Yes |
| Lead management dashboard | No | No | Yes |
| AI Concierge front desk assistant | No | Add-on | Yes |
| Branded client app | No | Add-on | Add-on |
Starter
Starter covers self-serve booking, integrated payments, automated email reminders, basic reporting, booking widgets, a customized website and the app listing. A solo coach with a physical space could run on it. Texts, promo codes and marketing automation are all missing, so a discount code for a launch would already push you toward a quote.
Accelerate
Accelerate adds room and resource management, Pick-a-Spot, stronger analytics, promo codes, text reminders and access to what Mindbody calls premium add-ons. Most of that value belongs to a business with rooms and class capacity. A coach delivering calls over video would use very little of it.
Ultimate
Ultimate adds tools to grow marketing lists, automated email and text campaigns with templates, a sales pipeline, deeper retention analytics and the AI Concierge. It is the tier that overlaps most with what a coach needs to sell, and it has no public price.
Enterprise
Enterprise is for multi-location groups that need corporate-level controls. Unless you run several sites, you can ignore it.
What fees does Mindbody charge on top of the subscription?
The main extras are payment processing, a 20% commission on new clients delivered by the Mindbody app, and paid add-ons. Staff logins and onboarding carry no charge, which is a real point in its favor against software priced per seat.
| Cost | Amount as listed in October 2026 | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Mindbody Payments processing | Unpublished rate plus $0.10 to $0.30 per transaction (North America and Asia) | Every transaction; the rate varies by card-present or card-not-present and by payment type |
| Mindbody app commission | 20%, capped at $30 or 30 in local currency | First purchase by someone new to your business whom the app delivered; later bookings are commission-free |
| Livestream add-on | From $49 per month | If you teach live online through Mindbody |
| On-demand video library add-on | $99 per month | If you sell recorded video through Mindbody |
| Branded app | No published price | Add-on on Accelerate and Ultimate |
| Extra marketing texts | "A fraction of a cent each" with no exact figure | Beyond the monthly text bundle on Ultimate |
| Additional staff users | No charge | All plans, per location |
| Additional locations | Subscription price rises; amount not published | Each new location |
| Onboarding | No fee | All plans include 1:1 setup support |
Mindbody Payments is optional. The company says you can use a third-party processor on its software, though it also notes that some promotional offers include Mindbody Payments as part of the package. So a discount may come tied to the processor. If it does, an unpublished processing rate becomes part of the price you are agreeing to.
The app commission is worth a quick sum. On an illustrative $100 first purchase the fee is $20. On $150 or more it hits the $30 cap. For a coach selling a $300 package, $30 is a modest acquisition cost, and listing on the app is free. The catch is reach: the app is a marketplace of people searching for fitness, beauty and wellness services, so a career or business coach should expect little from it.
What does a coach actually pay for Mindbody?
A solo coach on Starter pays at least $948 a year in subscription alone, before processing and any other software. The table below shows three example sizes. Client counts and payment volumes are illustrations, and blank spots in Mindbody's pricing stay blank.
| Cost line | Solo coach, 15 clients | Group programs, 40 clients | Three coaches, 120 clients |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful for the same size | Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients, with team plans adding coach seats |
| Mindbody subscription | From $79 a month if Starter is enough, or $948 a year | Quote only if you need Ultimate for email campaigns | Quote only, per location; staff users add no charge |
| Mindbody fixed processing fee, one monthly payment per client | $1.50 to $4.50 a month, plus the unpublished rate | $4 to $12 a month, plus the unpublished rate | $12 to $36 a month, plus the unpublished rate |
| Mindbody app commission | Up to $30 per new client the app delivers | Up to $30 per new client the app delivers | Up to $30 per new client the app delivers |
| Possible Mindbody add-ons | Livestream from $49 a month | Livestream from $49 a month; on-demand library $99 a month | The same, plus a branded app at a quoted price |
| Tools still needed beside Mindbody | Program delivery with habits and check-ins; courses; email sequences on Starter | All of those, plus a client community and group chat | All of those, plus a place for each coach's client notes and program progress |
Here is the solo column as a worked example, using illustrative volumes. Twelve months of Starter at the entry figure comes to $948. Fifteen clients paying monthly at the top $0.30 fixed fee adds $54 a year. Four new clients from the app, each spending $100 on a first purchase, adds $80. That totals $1,082, before the percentage processing rate, which Mindbody does not publish, and before any other software.
Add both video add-ons if your plan allows them and the monthly figure before fees goes from $79 to $227, or $2,724 a year. Accelerate is described as the tier that opens "premium add-ons", and the page does not say which add-ons that covers, so confirm Starter eligibility in your quote.

What goes in the "tools still needed" line?
Mindbody's plan comparison does not list multi-week programs with habits and check-ins, a course builder or a community feed. The on-demand add-on is the nearest thing to course delivery. A coach who wants those typically adds a course or community tool and an email tool below Ultimate. To price your own stack, see our breakdowns of Kajabi pricing, Skool pricing, Everfit pricing, HoneyBook pricing and Calendly pricing. Add each current subscription to the line above and you will have a truer figure than any headline price.
You can then test whether your offer carries that cost. The package pricing calculator helps you set a rate from your costs, and this guide to raising package prices covers what to do if the numbers fall short.
What are the hidden costs and gotchas in Mindbody pricing?
The biggest gotcha is commitment, not the monthly figure: contracts auto-renew, and you need to give 30 days' notice to cancel. The rest are costs you cannot see until a sales call. Mindbody's page says plans are structured with "transparent features", which is fair for features, though not for prices.
- Term length. At the $79 entry figure, a 90-day minimum commits you to $237, 12 months to $948, 24 months to $1,896 and 36 months to $2,844. Those are simple multiples for illustration, since Mindbody does not say how price changes by term.
- Auto-renewal. Miss the 30-day notice window and the agreement rolls on. Put the date in your calendar on the day you sign.
- Feature gates that surprise coaches. Promo codes need Accelerate. Text reminders need Accelerate. Automated email campaigns and lead tracking need Ultimate.
- Add-on access. Check whether Starter can buy Livestream or the on-demand library before you budget around them.
- Tied processing offers. A promotional price may include Mindbody Payments, at a rate you only learn in the quote. Ask to see it in writing.
- Per-location pricing. Two sites at the entry figure would be $158 a month if the quote follows the headline rate. A coach with a second room should ask what counts as a location.
- Data export. Some competitors say a full export costs extra, but we could not confirm that from Mindbody's own material. Ask what leaving would cost and get the answer in writing.
- Currency. The fixed processing fee and the $79 figure are stated for North America and Asia. Outside those regions, check local terms.
Mindbody itself draws a useful line here. Its FAQ says it may not fit independent, one-person operators who rent time at a shared location and only need basic booking and payments. Take that seriously if it describes you.
Is Mindbody worth it for coaches?
Mindbody is worth it for coaches who run a place with a class schedule, and hard to justify for coaches who deliver programs online. Its strength is the front desk: memberships, late-cancel fees, rooms, staff and a marketplace of fitness, beauty and wellness buyers. A coaching business has a different center of gravity, which is what happens between sessions.
| Coach type | Is Mindbody worth it? | Why | Look at instead |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio owner with classes and staff | Often yes | Memberships, rooms, unlimited staff logins and app discovery all get used | Momence or Arketa as a price check |
| Personal trainer with a private gym | Sometimes | App discovery can help, but workout programming is not on the plan list | Coachful for fitness coaches |
| Online fitness or nutrition coach | Rarely | You would pay for front-desk tools and still need program delivery | Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack |
| Life, mindset or career coach | No | The app audience is looking for fitness, beauty and wellness, there is no room to manage, and no program tools are listed | Coachful for life coaches |
| Business or executive coach | No | The marketplace is built for fitness, beauty and wellness | Coachful for business coaches |
| Health coach or wellness practitioner | Depends on your scope | Booking fits, but neither program delivery nor clinical records are its focus | Coachful for coaching, Practice Better for clinical charting |
A note on scope for the wellness side. Coaching is not medical treatment or therapy. Coaches should refer clients to a licensed clinician for diagnosis, medication questions, eating disorders, mental health crises or injuries, and any clinical records belong in a clinical system. That includes Coachful, which is not HIPAA-certified.
How does Mindbody pricing compare with the alternatives?
Mindbody pairs term contracts with quote-only upper tiers, while Coachful and Practice Better publish full plan prices, Arketa publishes an entry tier and Momence quotes everything. The real comparison is what each price covers, because a low subscription still leaves you paying for the tools it does not include.
| Tool | Published price, October 2026 | Transaction fees | Trial or commitment | Built around |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coachful | Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; unlimited clients: Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients | 0% platform fee; only Stripe or Razorpay processing | A free trial; monthly plans cancel in one click | Coaching programs, from booking to between-session delivery |
| Mindbody | From $79 a month per location; other tiers quote only | Unpublished rate plus $0.10 to $0.30; 20% capped at $30 on app-delivered new clients | Demo only; 12, 24 or 36 months, or month-to-month with a 90-day minimum | Classes, memberships, staff and locations |
| Momence | Custom quote | Not published; Stripe processing fees appear in transaction details | "Start free trial" link, terms not stated | Classes, appointments, memberships and packs |
| Arketa | Individual $49 a month billed annually; Studio plans by conversation | Individual: 3% plus Stripe (US 2.9% + $0.30) | Trial button on Individual, terms not shown | Fitness and wellness studios and instructors |
| Practice Better | Starter $35 monthly or $25 billed annually; Professional $69 or $59; Plus $99 or $89; Team $155 or $145; Sprout plan free for 3 clients | Uses Practice Better Payments; confirm the rate before you sign | 14-day trial on paid plans, 30 days on Team; no contracts | Clinical and health practices, as an EHR |
Our wider list is in the best Mindbody alternatives, and our comparison pages go tool by tool. The criteria that favor Coachful here are one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost and setup effort. If those are not your priorities, the other tools may suit you better.
Momence
Momence is the closest studio-shaped option, covering booking, memberships, packs and marketing. It publishes no price, so you face the same sales conversation as with Mindbody's upper tiers. Reviewers on Trustpilot gave it 4.1 from 420 reviews in October 2026. Pick it over Coachful if you run a class-based studio and want software shaped around it.

Arketa
Arketa's Individual plan is $49 a month billed annually, for one team member login and one location. It adds a 3% transaction fee on top of Stripe, which grows with your revenue. A branded app, the marketing suite and a website are add-ons or top-tier features with unpublished prices. It had 2.6 from just 7 Trustpilot reviews in October 2026, too few to read much into. Pick it over Coachful if you teach classes and want a low studio-style entry point, with the transaction fee in your sums.

Practice Better
Practice Better calls itself an EHR and serves nutritionists, dietitians, functional medicine practitioners and health coaches. Its pricing page lists HIPAA compliance, and its site covers clinical features such as charting and ePrescribe. It publishes every plan price up to 10 practitioners. Pick it over Coachful if you are a clinical practitioner who needs charting and health-record compliance.

What does Coachful include instead of a Mindbody stack?
Coachful is a coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery, courses, community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. It is built for coaches who deliver programs and not just sessions, for solo coaches growing into a small team, and for coaches replacing four to six tools. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients. Plans are flat and monthly, lower plans cap the number of clients, Pro is unlimited, and team plans add seats.
Scheduling is the part that overlaps most with Mindbody. Booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time zones, with two-way Google, Apple and Outlook calendar sync, plus built-in video or auto-created Zoom, Meet and Teams links. Email reminders are included, and SMS and WhatsApp reminders run once messaging is enabled. See the scheduling software page for more.

This short walkthrough shows how sessions and availability are set up inside Coachful.
The larger difference is what happens after booking. Multi-week programs carry weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, progress bars and streaks. Clients see all of it in your branded home and app, and you see each client's status as thriving, active, quiet or at risk, so you know whom to contact before they drift. Cohort groups are created automatically on enrollment for group coaching.

Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, with one-time charges, subscriptions, payment plans, coupons, refunds and Stripe Tax. Coachful takes a 0% platform fee, and you pay only the processor's charges. Payment features and coaching agreements with e-signature are included in your Coachful membership, and agreements go out before the first call and sit on the client record.

Courses with modules, drip and completion tracking live in the same place, so a coach need not keep a separate course platform. Email lists, broadcasts and multi-step sequences sit in the same subscription.

Be clear on what Coachful does not do. It is not HIPAA-certified and is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing. It has no PayPal and offers a free trial but no permanent free plan. The client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, not under your own App Store account. There are no Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura syncs and no stock exercise videos. It is built around coaching programs, not front desks, so if your business is a studio with a walk-in counter, rooms and a class timetable, Mindbody or Momence is the more natural fit. The coaching software page has the full picture.
Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. From Create, you describe what you want built, whether that is a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline, form, email sequence or lead quiz, and attach reference links and files. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented, so gaps are left for you instead of fake credentials or testimonials. A somatic coach leaving Kajabi had a homepage and About page rebuilt and the contact form connected, and a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing. Here is how the service works.

To start, begin a free trial, then request your first build. Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, so a move from another system does not mean retyping your roster. Teams can read about seats and permissions on the teams page.
How can you save money on Mindbody?
You save most by choosing the shortest term you can live with, buying only the tier you will use, and keeping app commissions off clients you already have. None of these require a special deal, though a quote-based price does leave room to ask for one.
- Get competing quotes. Prices beyond $79 are set in conversation, so a written quote from Momence or a published plan elsewhere gives you something to compare against.
- Price each term. Ask for the same plan at month-to-month, 12, 24 and 36 months. Then decide whether any discount is worth the lock-in.
- Stay on the lowest tier that works. If you already pay for an email tool, Ultimate may be duplicating it. If you do not need rooms or Pick-a-Spot, ask yourself what Accelerate gives you.
- Use tracked referral links. Mindbody says existing clients and those who came through a tracked referral link incur no app fee. Send your own audience through those links.
- Compare processors. You are not required to use Mindbody Payments, so ask for the rate and compare it with your current processor. Check whether your promotional price depends on it.
- Skip add-ons you can replace. Before paying $49 or more a month for livestream, price what your existing video setup would do.
- Mark the cancellation date. A missed 30-day notice can cost you another term, which is larger than most of the other savings on this list.
- Clarify what a location is. Since price rises per location, confirm how a second room or an online-only offer would be treated.
What should you ask for in a Mindbody quote?
Ask for every recurring cost, the exact processing rate and the full exit terms, all in writing. Since so little is published, the quote is the price list, and these questions turn it into something you can compare.
- What is the monthly price of this plan at each contract length, and what is the first-year total?
- Does the price rise at renewal, and by how much?
- What is the exact Mindbody Payments rate for card-present and card-not-present sales?
- Does my promotional price require Mindbody Payments?
- Which add-ons can my plan buy, and what does each one cost?
- How many texts are in the monthly bundle, and what does each extra text cost?
- What notice is needed to cancel, and what do I owe if I leave early?
- Can I export all client and payment data when I leave, and is there a fee?
Then line the total up against your stack and against Coachful's plans. Our Acuity Scheduling pricing guide is a useful reference if all you need is simple appointment booking.

Frequently asked questions about Mindbody pricing
How much is Mindbody per month?
Mindbody starts at $79 a month per location in North America and Asia, as listed in October 2026, with EU visitors shown €99. Accelerate, Ultimate and Enterprise are quote only. The billing term behind the entry figure is not published, so confirm it in your quote.
Does Mindbody have a free plan or free trial?
No free plan is offered, and the route in is a demo. Listing your business on the Mindbody app is free, though a commission applies to new clients the app delivers. Onboarding has no fee on any plan.
Does Mindbody require a contract?
Yes. Contracts run 12, 24 or 36 months, or month-to-month with a 90-day minimum. They auto-renew, and you need to give 30 days' notice to cancel.
What are Mindbody's transaction fees?
Mindbody Payments charges a processing rate it does not publish, plus $0.10 to $0.30 per transaction in North America and Asia. The rate varies by card-present or card-not-present sale and by payment type. You can use a third-party processor instead, though some promotional offers include Mindbody Payments.
How does the Mindbody app fee work?
The app charges 20%, capped at $30, on the first purchase by someone new to your business whom the app delivered. Existing clients, tracked referral links and clients who name you as how they found the business carry no fee. Later bookings from that client are commission-free.
Does Mindbody charge per staff member?
No. All plans include unlimited users per location, and the subscription rises with new locations instead of new staff. That makes it better value for a staffed studio than for a solo coach who would never use the extra logins.
Is Mindbody a good choice for online coaches?
Usually not. It is built around class schedules and front desks, and its plan comparison lists no multi-week programs with habits and check-ins, course builder or community. Online coaches tend to get more from a platform built around program delivery, such as Coachful.
What is a cheaper alternative to Mindbody for coaches?
It depends on what you would otherwise buy beside it. Practice Better and Arketa both publish entry prices below Mindbody's, though Arketa's Individual plan adds a 3% transaction fee, and Practice Better is aimed at clinical practices. For a coach replacing several tools, compare the whole stack against Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients.
What is Coachful's white-glove service?
It is a free build service on every Coachful plan. You describe a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or similar from the Create page, attach references, and the team builds it in your account, usually within about 24 hours. It leaves gaps for you to fill instead of inventing credentials or testimonials, and it does not cover video recording, logo design or ad management.
Can I move from Mindbody to Coachful without losing clients?
Clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding, and the white-glove team can rebuild your website or funnel in your account. Check your Mindbody export terms and contract end date first, so that you are not paying for both longer than you need to. Coachful for established coaches has more detail.
