Coachway vs CoachAccountable (2026): Pricing and Verdict

Coachway vs CoachAccountable (2026): Pricing and Verdict

In the coachway vs coachaccountable decision, the split is simple. Coachway is the fit if you sell online fitness and nutrition coaching and need workouts, meal plans and a branded client app. CoachAccountable is the fit if you run accountability-style coaching and want a back office for sessions, action plans, worksheets and invoicing at a lower price per client. They serve different coaches more than they compete.

Both charge more as your active client count grows, and each leaves real parts of the business to other tools. That is why this article also covers a third option. We make Coachful, a coaching platform that puts booking, payments, contracts, programs, courses, community, a website and email under one login, and we recommend it for coaches who want to stop stitching tools together. We also say below where it loses to both of these products. Everything here reflects what vendors document and what public review pages show; vendor prices are as listed in October 2026, and details from our earlier vendor profiles are dated September 2026.

Coachway vs CoachAccountable: what is the short answer?

Choose by what you deliver. If your program is training and food, Coachway is the closer match; if it is conversation and follow-through, CoachAccountable is. If you want delivery plus booking, selling and marketing in one place, Coachful is our recommendation.

  • You coach fitness or nutrition and want programming tools first: Coachway, with its workout builder, meal planner, check-in forms and branded client app. Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack is the alternative if you also want booking, courses and a website in the same account.
  • You run life, executive or business coaching around action plans and metrics: CoachAccountable, especially if your priority is the back office and you already have a website and marketing setup you like.
  • You have large numbers of active clients and only need coaching administration: CoachAccountable costs far less per client than Coachway on the published price lists, as the tables below show.
  • You sell programs and want one login for the whole client journey: Coachful, because neither of the other two documents the full route from website and booking through payment, delivery, courses and community.

Criteria for the ranking below: one login for the whole client journey, between-session delivery, total stack cost, and setup effort with the free white-glove build.

What is Coachway best at?

Coachway is best at running an online fitness and nutrition business from a coach's phone or desk. Copenhagen-based Coachway ApS sells one plan with every feature included: a Power Panel inbox, workout builder, meal planner, check-in forms, client progress, automations, payments and billing, lead management, messaging and chat, team roles, a coach mobile app and a branded client app.

Coachway's homepage, which presents the product to online fitness and nutrition coaches.

The specialist depth is the reason to buy it. The workout builder lists more than 1,800 exercises, supersets, AMRAP and templates. The meal planner lists more than 1,100 recipes, macros, allergy filters and PDF export. Progress tracking covers weight, measurements and photos, and chat supports voice and video messages. The client app runs in 6 languages, which matters if your clients do not all share your first language.

Answer a few questions and Coachful builds it around you: your website, programs, booking and payments. Ready in minutes.

Build your platform

The limits come from the same focus. Coachway's site does not describe a session booking calendar, courses or a community feature. If you sell one-to-one calls as the centre of your offer, or a course alongside coaching, you would need another tool for that part. Our full Coachway review and Coachway vs Trainerize comparison go deeper on the fitness side.

Pick it over Coachful if workout programming and meal planning are nearly all of what you sell, you want the large exercise and recipe libraries it lists, or you want the paid option of a fully standalone app under your own app-store listing.

What is CoachAccountable best at?

CoachAccountable is best at the administrative and accountability work between a coach and a client. Its documented back office covers sessions, action plans, metrics, worksheets, courses, invoicing and agreements. The pricing page states that every level has the full feature set with unlimited coaches and admins, that there are no add-ons to purchase, and that only active clients count.

CoachAccountable's homepage as it appeared in October 2026.
CoachAccountable's homepage in October 2026.

That pricing simplicity is a real strength. A coach with 2 active clients gets the same features as one with 500, and a former client does not cost anything: previous clients keep lifetime access to their records. The vendor also offers a 30-day trial with no card and no limits, which is longer and easier to start than Coachway's 14 days with a card.

Our September 2026 profile recorded three limits worth checking during that trial: no native mobile app, no landing pages, website or marketing automation, and a statement from the company that it is not HIPAA compliant. If you need clients to find and buy from you, CoachAccountable leaves that job to something else. See our CoachAccountable review and CoachAccountable pricing breakdown for more detail.

Pick it over Coachful if you already have a website and marketing you are happy with, you want unlimited coaches and admins on every level, you take payments through Square or PayPal, or you only need a small back office for a handful of clients.

Which costs less, Coachway or CoachAccountable?

CoachAccountable costs less at every client count on the published price lists, and the gap widens as you grow. At 5 active clients the difference is $39 a month; at 100 it is $629 a month.

The table below uses each vendor's published rungs. Coachway figures are calculated from its $79 base plus $10 for each client above 5. CoachAccountable figures are its listed levels. Coachful's row is the cheapest plan that covers each client count.

Platform5 active clients10 active clients20 active clients50 active clients100 active clients

Coachway$79$129$229$529$1,029
CoachAccountable$40$70$120$250$400

Dividing those totals by client count shows how each model behaves. Coachway's cost per client settles close to its $10 add-on rate: about $15.80 at 5 clients, $11.45 at 20 and $10.29 at 100. CoachAccountable's falls steadily: $8 at 5 clients, $6 at 20 and $4 at 100. For a group program with dozens of people, that is a meaningful difference, though either bill still scales with headcount.

What does each price leave out?

Coachway's headline price is in euros and excludes VAT: EUR 69 a month for up to 5 clients, then EUR 9 per additional client. The US dollar figures come from the currency calculator on the same page, and the page picks a currency from the visitor's IP address, so you may see a different number than a coach in another country. Whether you can reclaim VAT depends on where you are registered, so check with an accountant. No annual plan is shown.

CoachAccountable's ladder runs from $20 for 2 active clients through 5 ($40), 10 ($70), 20 ($120), 35 ($200), 50 ($250), 75 ($340) and 100 ($400), and on to 1,000 clients at $4,000 a month. The rungs matter: on the published ladder, 21 active clients means paying for the 35-client level. Asked about annual pricing or discounts, the page answers "Nope!", so there is no way to lower the rate by paying ahead.

How do real practices price out?

These are illustrative examples calculated from the published price lists, not customer data.

  • A new coach with 2 clients: $20 a month on CoachAccountable, $79 on Coachway. The Coachway base price is the same whether you have 1 client or 5.
  • A solo coach with 8 clients: $70 on CoachAccountable (the 10-client level), $109 on Coachway.
  • A fitness coach with 25 clients: $200 on CoachAccountable (the 35-client level), $279 on Coachway. Here the cost gap may be smaller than the cost of building workouts by hand in a tool not designed for them.
  • A group program with 60 clients: $340 on CoachAccountable (the 75-client level), $629 on Coachway.

Over a year, the 25-client example comes to $2,400 on CoachAccountable and $3,348 on Coachway, before any payment processing. For more on each ladder, see our Coachway pricing guide.

What about payment fees?

Coachway's pricing page lists a 2.4% payment fee on transactions through its built-in payment system, with coaches connecting their own Stripe account. The page's structured data describes this as optional and says there is no fee through the coach's own Stripe checkout. Stripe's own processing fees are separate. As an illustration, $8,000 a month through the built-in route would add $192 in Coachway fees, so ask which route your offers will use. CoachAccountable's pricing page does not state a transaction fee; processor fees apply.

How do the features compare, side by side?

Coachway leads on fitness delivery, CoachAccountable on structured accountability, and Coachful on breadth across the business. The tables below separate what a client receives from what runs the company. "Not listed" means we did not find it in the vendor's published feature material, so confirm it during a trial if it matters to you.

Which is better for workouts and nutrition?

Coachway, clearly, between these two. It is built around a workout builder and meal planner, while CoachAccountable's documented feature set centres on sessions, plans and metrics, with no workout builder or meal planner listed. A strength coach could describe a program in a CoachAccountable worksheet, but would give up exercise libraries, macro targets and allergy filters.

Coachful's pack is the closer rival here. It covers supersets, circuits, AMRAP, EMOM, intervals and tempo, client workout logging with set history and PRs, nutrition targets up to calories and macros, private progress photos and form-check video with timestamped coach comments. It has no stock exercise videos, so coaches attach their own demos, and it does not sync with Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop or Oura. Coachway's published library counts are also a point in its favour.

Scope applies to all three. Coaching is not medical treatment, and a coach is not diagnosing or prescribing. Refer clients to a doctor or registered dietitian when they report chest pain, fainting, injury, signs of an eating disorder, pregnancy complications or a medical condition that changes what they can safely do. Keep clinical records in a clinical system; CoachAccountable has said it is not HIPAA compliant, and Coachful is not HIPAA-certified.

Which is better for accountability between sessions?

CoachAccountable is the more natural choice of these two for non-fitness coaching, since action plans, metrics and worksheets are its core. Coachway's check-ins and progress views are aimed at body and food data rather than leadership goals or career moves.

Coachful approaches the same job through programs. A client follows a multi-week program with weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, morning and evening check-ins, goals with progress bars and streaks. On the coach side, the client record pulls goals, check-ins, habits, notes, intake answers, payments and sessions together, with a status of thriving, active, quiet or at risk. If your method depends on a client doing something every day, this is where the recommendation is strongest. Our guide to tracking client habits without CoachAccountable shows the approach in more detail.

Which handles booking, payments and agreements better?

CoachAccountable covers more of this administrative ground than Coachway, because sessions, invoicing and agreements are all part of its documented back office. Coachway includes payments and billing, but its site does not describe a session booking calendar, and agreements are not on its feature list. A Coachway customer who sells calls would add a scheduler and possibly an e-signature tool.

Coachful includes all of this in one membership. Its booking pages handle availability rules, buffers, minimum notice and time-zone detection, with two-way Google, Apple and Outlook sync and email reminders, plus SMS and WhatsApp reminders once messaging is enabled. Payments run through your own Stripe Connect or Razorpay account, and coaching agreements are signed before the first call and stored on the client record. The trade-off is that Coachful has no PayPal, so a coach whose clients pay that way would need to plan around it.

Can either one market your coaching business?

Only partly, and mostly not. Our September 2026 profile recorded no landing pages, website or marketing automation for CoachAccountable. Coachway includes lead management and automations, but a website builder does not appear on its feature list. With either, expect to keep paying for a website and an email tool.

This is the largest practical gap and the easiest to underestimate when you compare monthly prices. Coachful includes a section-based website builder with 30 designed homepage templates, booking, application, lead-magnet and checkout funnels, and email lists with broadcasts and multi-step sequences. It also has a social planner and Instagram automations, so a comment with a chosen keyword can get a booking link in a DM and the person lands in the same lead and client records.

Which suits a coaching team?

CoachAccountable makes this simplest: unlimited coaches and admins on every level, so the bill depends only on active clients. Coachway includes team roles in its single plan, also with per-client pricing. On Coachful, the Studio and Agency team plans add coach seats with per-coach availability and staff permissions, and round-robin or least-busy assignment for multi-coach session types. If you have many coaches and few clients each, CoachAccountable's model is hard to beat. Coachful's team setup makes more sense when the team also shares a website, funnels and programs.

Which one looks like you?

Coachful builds your coaching website from a few answers, in a design chosen for your niche, with programs, booking and payments ready behind it.

Build your platform

What will your clients actually experience?

On Coachway, your client gets a branded app on iOS and Android. On CoachAccountable, our September 2026 profile recorded no native mobile app. On Coachful, your client gets one branded home and app holding sessions, programs, progress, courses and community.

For a fitness client logging a workout at the gym, an app is close to essential, which favours Coachway clearly over CoachAccountable. Coachway's client app keeps your logo and colours inside the Coachway app, and a fully standalone app under your own app-store listing is a paid option with no price shown. Voice and video messages in chat give it a personal feel between check-ins.

CoachAccountable's strength for a client is continuity. A client who finishes with you keeps lifetime access to their records, which suits coaching where a client wants to look back at past plans and notes. If your clients are executives who check action items at a desk, the missing app may matter less than it would for a personal trainer's clients.

Coachful's client app ships under the Coachful listing with your branding, so like Coachway's included option it is not your own App Store account, and unlike Coachway there is no paid standalone upgrade. What the client gains is that everything lives together: the next session, pre-session work, program week, habits, courses and the group.

How easy is it to move in or out?

CoachAccountable documents its data handling more clearly than Coachway does on the pages we checked. It offers a per-client Export on the Clients tab that exports full coaching history, plus bulk CSV import. Coachway's pages do not state a general data export, apart from meal plans exporting as PDF. Ask about it before you commit.

Coachway says that "where a move is possible, the move itself is free," which is useful if you are leaving another fitness platform, though the offer covers some platforms rather than all. Coachful offers a full client data export as a ZIP (roster, notes, check-ins, goals, habits, sessions and form responses) plus course export, and clients, programs and content are imported for you during onboarding. If you are leaving CoachAccountable, our migration guide covers data, payments and timing.

Whatever you choose, run a trial with one real offer. Build a real program, send it to a friendly client, and take a real payment. Features on a list tell you less than one full week of delivery does.

Which should you pick for your type of coach?

Coachful is our pick when you want one system across delivery and sales; Coachway and CoachAccountable win when your needs are narrower. Use the table to rule options out quickly.

PlatformPick it if you areSkip it if you
CoachfulA coach selling programs, replacing 4 to 6 tools, or growing from solo into a small team; available for life, business, health and fitness coachesNeed HIPAA-certified records, PayPal, Salesforce or HubSpot integration, or wearable sync

CoachAccountableA life, executive or business coach who wants a back office with action plans and metrics, or a team with many coachesNeed a native client app, workout programming, or your website and marketing in the same tool

Online personal trainers and nutrition coaches: between these two, Coachway. Compare it with the Coachful Fitness & Nutrition pack if you also sell courses, group programs or booked calls. Our Coachway alternatives roundup covers more specialist options.

Life and mindset coaches: between these two, CoachAccountable, since Coachway's tooling is built for bodies and food. Coachful fits better if you want a daily habit and check-in rhythm plus a website that sells. See Coachful for mindset coaches and our list of CoachAccountable alternatives for life coaches.

Executive and business coaches: CoachAccountable's plans and metrics suit this work, and its team model suits firms with several coaches. Coachful adds ICF hour tracking against ACC, PCC and MCC thresholds, an exportable ICF client coaching log, and pages for executive coaches. Our alternatives for business coaches article looks at others.

Group program leaders: CoachAccountable is much cheaper than Coachway per head, but neither documents a community feature. Coachful creates cohort groups automatically on program enrollment, with group calls and webinars; see group coaching software.

New coaches with no website yet: neither Coachway nor CoachAccountable solves your first problem, which is getting clients. Start at Coachful for new coaches, or see the broader coaching software overview.

Is Coachful a better third option than both?

For coaches who sell programs and want a single system, yes. For a pure fitness programmer or a coach who only needs a low-cost back office, one of the others may be the better buy, and we set out those cases below.

A laptop showing Coachful's client dashboard and a tablet showing its habit tracker on a coaching desk with a journal and mug.

What Coachful is. A coaching platform where one subscription covers booking, payments, contracts, program delivery with habits and check-ins, courses, a community, a website with funnels and email, and an AI assistant. There is one login for the coach and one branded app for the client. The company is based in Tallinn, Estonia.

Who it is for. Coaches who deliver programs, not just sessions; solo coaches growing into a small team; and coaches replacing 4 to 6 tools.

This walkthrough shows how programs are built and delivered inside Coachful.

When does Coachful beat both?

  • When you want one login. Website, funnel, booking, checkout, agreement, program, course, community and email sit in one account, and the client record holds each person's sessions, payments, notes and goals. On either of the other two, parts of that route would live in separate tools.
  • When delivery is daily. Weekly goals, daily tasks, habits, and morning and evening check-ins are built into programs.
  • When you sell more than one format. Courses, downloads, videos, books, AI tools, events and bundles all reach the client's branded home and app.
  • When per-client pricing stings. Plans are flat monthly prices, and Pro is unlimited, so a growing group program does not add a line for each person. Lower plans do cap clients, so check where you would land. Current plans: Lite: $29/month for up to 5 clients; Solo: $49/month for up to 20 clients; Pro: $99/month with unlimited clients; Studio: $199/month with unlimited clients.
  • When you want AI working from your own data. Michelle, the built-in AI assistant, builds programs, drafts emails, summarizes recorded sessions and briefs you before sessions. Questions and planning are included in your membership; confirmed builds and changes use AI credits.

When does Coachful not beat them?

  • Small, simple back office. If you have 2 clients and want action plans and invoices, CoachAccountable's entry level is hard to argue with, and it is sold with a full feature set.
  • Your own app-store listing. Coachway sells a standalone white-label app as a paid option. Coachful's app ships under the Coachful listing.
  • PayPal or Square. Our September 2026 profile lists both for CoachAccountable. Coachful supports Stripe and Razorpay only.
  • Published library size. Coachway lists more than 1,800 exercises and 1,100 recipes. Coachful has an illustrated exercise library, recipes and food lookup, but no stock exercise videos.
  • Review scores. On Trustpilot, CoachAccountable (4.8 from 47) and Coachway (4.6 from 22) both sit above Coachful (4.5 from 21). All three samples are small.
  • Clinical or enterprise needs. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified and offers no BAA, is not for clinical record-keeping or insurance billing, and has no Salesforce or HubSpot integration or multi-stage deal board for large sales teams.

How do you get started?

Why Coachful stands out: a free white-glove service. On every plan, you can go to Create, choose We'll build it for you, and describe what you want: a website, funnel, sales page, program, course outline and written material, email sequence, form, lead quiz or something else. You can attach up to 8 reference links and up to 10 files. The Coachful team builds it inside your own account, usually within about 24 hours. Nothing gets invented, so there are no fake credentials, testimonials or prices, and gaps are left for you to fill. It does not include recording videos, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

As an example of the scope, a leadership coach with a Squarespace renewal days away got one clean homepage with a repeated "talk with me" button. Frequently asked questions

Is Coachway or CoachAccountable cheaper?

CoachAccountable is cheaper at every client count on the published lists. At 20 active clients it is $120 a month against $229 for Coachway, and at 100 it is $400 against $1,029. Coachway's price excludes VAT and is quoted in euros first, so your own figure may differ.

Can a life coach use Coachway?

A life coach could use its check-ins, chat and automations, but much of what you would pay for is workout and meal tooling. Coachway describes itself as built for fitness and nutrition coaches, and its site does not describe a session booking calendar. Most life coaches will find CoachAccountable or Coachful a closer fit.

Can a fitness coach use CoachAccountable?

Yes, for sessions, metrics, worksheets and invoicing, but no workout builder or meal planner is listed. Our September 2026 profile also recorded no native mobile app, which makes logging at the gym less convenient. Fitness coaches usually do better on Coachway or with Coachful's Fitness & Nutrition pack.

Does Coachway charge a transaction fee?

Its pricing page lists a 2.4% payment fee on transactions through the built-in payment system. The page's structured data says the fee is optional and does not apply through the coach's own Stripe checkout. Stripe's processing fees are separate either way.

Do Coachway and CoachAccountable have free trials?

Yes. Coachway offers 14 days and requires a card to start, with a billing reminder 3 days before the trial ends. CoachAccountable offers 30 days with no card and no limits. Neither has a permanent free plan.

Which has a better mobile app?

Coachway includes both a coach mobile app and a branded client app on iOS and Android. Our September 2026 profile recorded no native mobile app for CoachAccountable. If an app matters for your clients, check what each vendor offers during the trial.

Is either platform HIPAA compliant?

CoachAccountable has stated that it is not HIPAA compliant, per our September 2026 profile, and Coachway's pages we checked do not claim it. Coachful is not HIPAA-certified either. If you keep clinical records, use a clinical system and ask any vendor directly for a BAA.

What is Coachful's white-glove service?

It is a free build service on every plan. You describe a website, funnel, program, course outline, email sequence or similar project, attach references, and the Coachful team builds it inside your account, usually within about 24 hours. It does not include video recording, logo design, ad management or ongoing marketing.

Can I replace both tools with Coachful?

For many coaches, yes, since Coachful covers program delivery, workouts and nutrition through its pack, booking, payments, agreements, courses, community, website and email. It will not replace wearable sync, PayPal or an app under your own store listing. If you need any of those, keep them in view before moving.
